Finding out Rosa and Marcus broke up is literally so devastating, I loved their relationship and how it tied Rosa and Holt to being in more scenes, I also just adored that one scene where Marcus gave Rosa a charger and then kissed her on the cheek. THEY WERE PERFECT TOGETHER

It's December 1st. 🖤 On this day in 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man. She was summarily arrested for disobeying an Alabama law that required black passengers to sit in the back of the bus and relinquish their seats to white passengers when the bus was full.
Ms. Parks (February 4, 1913 – October 24, 2005) was a seamstress by profession, but she was also the secretary for the Montgomery chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). On this day, Ms. Parks boarded a bus and sat in the front-most row for black people. A white man then got onboard, and the bus driver told everyone in her row to move back. While all of the other black people in her row complied, Ms. Parks refused, and was arrested.
Rosa Parks' actions resulted in a 381-day boycott of the Montgomery, Alabama public transit system – a seminal event in the civil rights movement. It finally ended on December 20, 1956, when a federal ruling took effect that led to the Supreme Court declaring that the Alabama and Montgomery laws requiring segregated buses were unconstitutional. Many key figures in the civil rights movement took part in the boycott, including Ralph Abernathy and Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.
From 1965 to 1988, Ms. Parks was active in the Black Power movement and served as secretary to African-American US Representative John Conyers. She has received the NAACP's 1979 Spingarn Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and a posthumous statue in the US Capitol. Upon her death in 2005, she became the first woman to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda. We owe you so much, Ms. Parks. ☮️ R.I.P., Jamiese of Pixoplanet

December 7
pairing: Marcus Moreno x reader
warnings: 13yo mocking, ice skating, horny for husband!Marcus
words: 1.6k
a/n: this one is a little disjointed probs but cute and fun Marcus and Missy (and Missy’s friend lol)
Last, Full List, Next, More Marcus
Tumblr media
🏔🏔🏔
Missy had begged you and Marcus for a trip to the city so she and her friend, Rosa, could go ice skating at Rockefeller Center. She approached you each separately, convincing you because you could make a weekend of it and see a show and have a fancy dinner and go shopping. Then the two of you went to Marcus and he was helpless to resist.
That weekend, you arrived at a vacation rental in Manhattan, chosen instead of a hotel so that the two of you could ensure that the girls wouldn’t try to sneak off (they were still young, but you’d rather be over safe than sorry) while maintaining privacy for you and Marcus. Just in case.
The first afternoon was spent settling in and going to a couple pizza places nearby to find the favorite of the group, something Missy and Rosa took very seriously.
In the morning, you went to a deli and a bakery right next to each other so you could have bagels and donuts. Marcus then suggested that if you wanted to do shopping, it should be now so that you could go skating around noon, hopefully when everyone else was having lunch.
A couple hours later, you were back at the vacation rental to layer up and drop off the bags and bags full of things you had bought. With each new purchase, you had seen Marcus wince a little bit more, but you had made a budget and were still well within its confines. And tonight you would get him out of his miserly mood the way only you knew how.
When the four of you got to the skating rink, it turned out you were not the only ones who had the plan to come during lunch. While it was probably less busy than normal, there was still a wait time, but it was relatively easy to stay patient once you all had a cup of steaming hot cocoa.
In half an hour, you were in line to get the girls skates, but when you got to the front, Marcus told them all four of your sizes.
“No honey, I’m not gonna skate, I’ll just watch,” you told him, scrunching your nose.
“C’mon babe, I’ll get them and you can try it and if you hate it we’ll just sit on the side, but we can take it slow, okay?” he asked you with pleading eyes and you were helpless to resist.
“Okay, I’ll try,” you told him and then got out of the way of the line while he grabbed your two sets of skates and the girls grabbed theirs.
Once you had all put on the skates and dropped your shoes off at the little locker Marcus had gotten the key for, you headed to the ice. Missy and Rosa, of course, were far ahead and skating before you had even wobbled over to the entrance. Then Marcus started picking up speed, moving from your side where you had been counting on him to catch you if you fell.
“Wait up, Marcus! I’m not sure I can make it to the ice!” you called after him pleadingly.
He just told you over his shoulder, “Just a second, sweetie, I’m just picking something up for when we’re on the ice.”
You had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and were getting grumpy that he had left you behind. Especially when you got to the entrance and were going to either stand there and wait like an idiot or try and get on the ice on your own. And while the first was embarrassing, it would be a lot less dangerous. So you stood there, impatient and stubborn, waiting for Marcus to deign come back to you and help.
But before you could get too too annoyed, he skated up from the ice, very unexpectedly, toting something that made your stomach drop out when you realized what it was.
“Marcus, I am not going to use the penguin,” you downright whined, feeling heat come to your cheeks and you ducked your head, not wanting to attract any attention to yourself.
“Sweetheart, come here, please. I promise you don’t have to use the penguin,” Marcus entreated you, holding a hand out to help you over the threshold. Only because you trusted him to take care of you did you take it and let him.
You stumbled, but when Marcus moved his hand to your waist and you held his upper arm, you were able to stand straight. Taking a quick breath, you smiled up at Marcus, proud at the little achievement of actually being on the ice. But when you took a step forward, which meant Marcus had to take a step back, he’s the one that stumbled.
Marcus let go of you immediately so that if he fell he didn’t take you down with him. He only managed to keep his balance when he grabbed onto the penguin with both hands.
“As you can see, I am also not very good at ice skating. The penguin is for me,” he told you, panting a little from the exertion it took not to fall.
You smiled because he was ridiculously cute slightly embarrassed, but then asked, “If you’re using the penguin, how the hell am I going to make it around the rink?”
Marcus blushed a little and slowly turned so he was three quarters of the way facing away from you, “I was thinking I could be your penguin.”
How absolutely adorable he was distracted you for a second as you thought about how you were totally going to rail him tonight. But then you remembered where you were and made a happy sound, rushing forward. However, you forgot you were on ice, and accidentally moved too fast, crashing into Marcus back and sending the two of you sliding forward, nearly out of control.
The penguin, of course, was your savior, keeping the two of you on your feet and letting you coast to an only slightly shaky stop. The two of you stayed frozen for a few seconds, not wanting to jinx anything and fall. Especially because you were now fully away from the wall surrounding the edge.
In a sudden flurry of movement, you were circled by flashes of pink and blue. When they stopped moving at what seemed like the speed of light, they were Missy and Rosa, respectively.
They were laughing before they were even standing still. Likely, they had been laughing for a while.
“You two are so lame,” Missy half-complained, half-laughed. “Those things are for babies.”
“No, they’re cute, total couple goals!” Rosa giggled and you had to chuckle too, remembering what it was like to be a 13 year old girl.
“Ew, Rosa, they’re old,” Missy told her and Rosa shrugged. So Missy switched topics, “How are you guys gonna skate if you’re too scared to move?”
“I don’t know, mija, are you gonna push us?” Marcus asked, a little sassy because he already knew the issue at hand.
Missy shrugged, “Rosa, you push, I’ll pull.”
Before either you or Marcus could process what Missy said, the two girls had moved to either end and started moving you. Rosa put her hands on the middle of your back and started skating, so you braced yourself better against Marcus so her force would push him too. Missy went in front of the penguin and grabbed onto one of the handles on top of its head.
You were very impressed that the two of them were strong enough to get all four of you moving, but then Rosa nudged your back to get your attention, “Hey, you gotta skate too, we can’t do all the work.”
Feeling thoroughly chastised by a teenager, you started moving your feet, trying to mimic the girls’ movements. Marcus must have gotten a similar treatment from Missy, because he was skating now too.
The girls took you just under halfway around the rink and then let you go, cutting across the rink back to the entrance and the hot chocolate after saying that they needed a break after lugging you two around.
Once they were gone, you and Marcus moved at a much slower pace. But it was still nice, with your hands on Marcus’ waist, warm and strong. Soon enough, you were less using him for balance and more just wrapping your arms around him. You kept things PG, but were getting to feel like maybe you should head out soon and “take a nap.”
The two of you were just reaching the entrance when the girls got back on the rink, and they agreed to fifteen more minutes of skating and then you would leave. They were easy to convince with the promise of pizza.
You and Marcus stumbled back outside of the rink and to the benches to take off the skates. As you did, you whispered to Marcus about your plan.
“We should get them lots of pizza and soda so that they have a sugar and carb crash and fall asleep watching whatever movie they choose and then while they do that, we can have sex, what do you think?”
“I think that’s a perfect plan, sweetheart, with maybe one tiny problem. Mmm, two tiny problems,” Marcus told you and you frowned.
“Do tell.”
“One, we might be too sore to have sex by then.”
“Hmph.”
“And two, what’s gonna keep us from falling asleep after we eat pizza?”
“Damn, those are problems,” you fell silent as you wracked your brain for solutions. Then your face lit up, “I’ve got it.”
“Yeah?”     “Yeah. We take a hot shower so we don’t get sore, and we have sex before we eat and then we can nap all we want!”
Marcus grinned, you were so cute and hot when you had good ideas, “Honey, you are a genius.”
He leaned in for a kiss and you let him. It lasted longer than it probably should have in public, but by the time Missy and Rosa found you, you were totally PDA free and proper. Anything to avoid more mocking from 13 year olds.

Weak Black Male Willingly Allowed Alex Stein To Feed Him A Banana During Racial Humiliation -  Phillip Scott Podcast
Tumblr media
Ok I have to put a commentary to this post. this was very disturbing!
WHAT THE HELL IS REALLY GOING ON HERE!!!!!
After running across this post I begin to have very deep thoughts about the state of our black people, no not the B1′s but the black people who are still sleep and in a WS euphoria of lies and propaganda. The ones who have not freed their minds so their behinds can follow.
The ones with their head in the sand, will not pick up a book to learn the real history of black people in America and abroad as well as the ancient history of our ancestors; are still not realizing that they are allowed to read now.
I also gave thought to the fact that we as a people have to own our own shit also and stand up to the fool lala we are a part of. There are three adages,
1 There is two sides to a coin
2 When you know better, you do better.
3 See something - say something (speak on the bad behavior as well also)
In the future we at BP will be doing more post of the other side of the coin - that will emphasize to do better, move better, be better. Stop the madness and fool lala and be B1 first and foremost.
Also, I came to the sad but truth, that some are still on the plantation of old mentally, the names like coon, racoon, uncle tom, sell out and so on to just name a few - are so rightly deserved for behavior of some black people.
All are doing tumble flips and spinning in their graves, shaking saying we did not fight and die for this behavior - MLK, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Medgar Evers, Frederick Douglas, Fannie Lou Hamer, Ida B. Wells, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Nelson Mandela, Fred Hampton,Thurgood Marshall, John Lewis, W.E.B. Du Bois, James Baldwin, The Mississippi 3 freedom fighters,Emmett Till, all the black people lynched then and now, all the black people who loss their life due to WS.........This is not by any means an ordered comprehensive list, it is just the names that some come to mind while writing this post, there is a myriad of more names you can add.
We have been marching and wearing paraphernalia that say BLACK LIVES MATTER. but then for some who do not act like their live matter, let alone black lives as a collective. However, until we learn from within our own life matter with respect and dignity, the saying black lives matter will only be a slogan on a tee and not on our hearts and minds.
Phil Scott had a lot to say in his above podcast that step on some toes (as the old folk would say) but he told it like a ti is - take time to listen it a good podcast. *BP*

Fog and Clouds
Prologue One
Jake Peralta & Marcus White x fem!Reader
Masterlist
Tumblr media
‘‘He’s here. He’s here! Jake’s here!’‘
I tug my lips up at the remark. He couldn’t contain his excitement.
‘‘Okay, let’s do the prank, where we don’t even acknowledge him when he comes in. Okay? Sh sh sh. Everyone, shhh!’‘
Charles stood facing me, a constipated look on his face.
I notice the leather clad comic behind him. My heart jumps.
‘‘Back in the nine-nine-’‘
‘‘Whoooooo! Jake, jake, jake, jake!’’  He just couldn’t help himself.
Gina stands, a unamused face on her, ‘’Played to perfection, Charles.’’
‘‘God, I missed this place, let me just soak it in.’‘ Jake wafts his hands to his face, inhaling the air.
‘‘Oh yeah, stale coffee, fingerprinting ink, whatever Charles is fermenting in his desk-’‘
‘‘Beans.’‘
‘‘Beans.’‘ Charles and I say in consensus.
Jake points a finger at Charles.
‘‘Beans? It’s like I never left. All right, fill me in, tell me everything I missed.’‘
He pulls me in for a tight hug, I can smell his familiar aftershave as it floods my senses.
‘‘Won’t take long, only four things happened-’‘ We pull away to hear Rosa’s recollection.
‘‘Terry chipped his tooth and had a lisp for a week.’‘
‘‘Yeah, I could not take him seriously.’‘ Charles giggled.
‘‘Number two, Santiago and Boyle wore the same outfit to work one day.’’
‘‘It really did look better on Charles.’‘ I shrug.
‘‘Captain banned headphones from the office, due to the Gina Incident.’’
‘‘To be fair, she was absolutely jamming.’‘ I point finger guns at Gina.
‘‘What can I say, I have more fun then any of you.’’
‘‘And Y/n got fired for assaulting Hitchcock-’‘
‘‘Wait, what?’’ Jake looks over to me, I look at the floor.
‘‘He grabbed my ass, what was I supposed to do?’‘ I murmur.
‘‘So...that’s it? You won’t be working with me-us anymore?’’
‘‘I guess so, Holt pushed for me to stay but unfortunately...I’m gone after today.’‘
‘‘Y/n-’‘ He looked deflated
‘‘It’s okay, I’m gonna move in with one of my friends, back in St. Louis. Besides, I only filed paperwork and Gina can do that without my help.’‘ I hold in my tears as I try to not look at his face.
‘‘Can she?’‘ Rosa retorts.
‘‘Great recap.’‘ Jake says, solemnly.
‘‘Welcome back, Peralta, I’m sure you have heard about Y/n by now-’‘
‘‘Captain.’‘ They shake hands.
‘‘Every one has a lot of work, so you have exactly two minutes to share personal anecdotes and those two minutes began when you entered. You now have...’‘ he checks his watch, ‘’12 seconds left.’’
‘‘Challenge accepted.’‘ Jake turns back around to us but I blank out, I’m gonna miss this place so much, miss everyone.
‘‘-everyone back to work!’‘ His tone change tore me from my trance.
‘‘All right, Jake-’‘ Terry pulls him in for a bro hug.
‘‘Hey, so, figured we should have a chance to catch up, after having that bomb dropped on me?’‘
‘‘Yeah?’’
‘‘Yeah.’‘
‘‘Can we talk in private for a sec?’‘
I agree, following him to the evidence room.
‘‘Okay, so, you are...fired.’‘
‘‘I mean, technically speaking, yes. But he deserved it-’‘ He laughs at me, shaking his head. He bit his lip, his smile turning into a frown.
‘‘I really am going to miss you, Jake.’‘
‘‘Did you mean what you said? About moving to St. Louis?’‘ His large eyes bore into mine.
‘‘I did- don’t give me those puppy dog eyes, Peralta!’‘ I whine, stomping my feet in annoyance.
‘‘I’m not doing anything! And it’s Peralta now?’‘ I shrug.
‘‘You didn’t really give an explanation as to where we stood.’‘
My mind thinks back to his last night before going undercover, when he was in fact, under my covers.
‘‘Well, that’s new.’‘
‘‘Yup.’’
‘‘I...liked it, though.’‘
‘‘Me too.’‘
‘‘We should do it again, you know, when you’re back- o-or not...’‘
‘‘I’d like that, Y/n/n.’‘
‘‘This complicates things doesn’t it?’‘
‘‘I don’t have to go-’‘
‘‘Don’t stop yourself for me, it’s not like we’re...like in love or something.’‘ He shrugs at me.
‘‘Yeah.’‘ My heart drops. I am.
‘‘I guess it was a mistake, I don’t know, I was nervous about going under cover and I think I just kind of freaked out and you were nearby. So...’‘
‘‘A mistake, okay.’‘
‘‘N-no, I don’t mean a mistake- I just-’‘
I smile at him.
‘‘It’s okay, Jake, I get it. Your head was all over the place. it was just one night. And we don’t work together anymore. We won’t even be in the same city by tonight-’‘
‘‘You’re leaving tonight?’‘
‘‘Yeah.’‘
‘‘Oh, okay.’‘
‘‘Like you said, it was a mistake, we can forget about it.’‘ I give him another smile, fighting to keep it genuine.
‘‘Of course.’‘ He nods towards the exit door.
I follow after him, he stumbles over his feet slightly.
‘‘You okay?’‘
‘‘I’m good.’‘

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.
Tumblr media
Origins of Black History Month
The story of Black History Month begins in 1915, half a century after the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in the United States.
That September, the Harvard-trained historian Carter G. Woodson and the prominent minister Jesse E. Moorland founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH), an organization dedicated to researching and promoting achievements by Black Americans and other peoples of African descent.

Known today as the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), the group sponsored a national Negro History week in 1926, choosing the second week of February to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. The event inspired schools and communities nationwide to organize local celebrations, establish history clubs and host performances and lectures.
In the decades that followed, mayors of cities across the country began issuing yearly proclamations recognizing "Negro History Week." By the late 1960s, thanks in part to the civil rights movement and a growing awareness of Black identity, "Negro History Week" had evolved into Black History Month on many college campuses.
President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month in 1976, calling upon the public to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” Today, Black History Month is a time to honor the contributions and legacy of African Americans across U.S. history and society—from activists and civil rights pioneers such as Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Rosa Parks to leaders in industry, politics, science, culture and more.
Black History Month 2023 Theme
Since 1976, every American president has designated February as Black History Month and endorsed a specific theme.
The Black History Month 2023 theme, “Black Resistance,” explores how "African Americans have resisted historic and ongoing oppression, in all forms, especially the racial terrorism of lynching, racial pogroms and police killings," since the nation's earliest days.

Juni 1878 gilt das Weltpostkartenformat 10,5 x 14,8 cm (DIN A 6)." (ebd. Fußnote 11)

Black Education in America- New Year’s Resolutions
Tumblr media
                     BE IT RESOLVED...
Number 1.  America ! Do us a special favor and liberate our children from SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Number 2. That all election deniers holding public office should immediately be removed from it.
Number 3. That all Black women should cease to wear wigs and false fingernails unless they own and operate the business.
Number 4. That no foreign country should receive 13 billion dollars or greater from the government of the United States unless and until it expresses knowledge and concern for the plight for African Americans in this country.
Number 5. That  entire state governments should be incarcerated for using disenfranchisements measures (such as the moving of polling sites, the closing of polling sites, the arresting of citizens who offer refreshments to voters waiting in line to vote ) to win elections.
Number 6. That all gerrymandered maps be set aflame and newly formed ones be established which most accurately represent the populations and their districts., zones, townships, cities and areas that provide equality and justice to those previously disenfranchised citizens.
Number 7. That politicians who say crazy shit disqualify themselves and must be disqualified to hold office.
Number 8. That old, white, wrinkled politicians over 50 should resign from government all together. They extinguish the UNITED in the United States.
Number 9. That all young Black males emulate Raphael Warnock and pray for Herschell Walker.
Number 10. That Barack Obama, Stacey Abrams and Oprah Winfrey begin prepping Senator Warnock for a presidential run.
Number 11. That this is the year that Black folks invent an automobile, airplane and a soul for White people.
Number 12. That Tyler Perry and Ava Duvernay form a corporation which has as its major purpose and goal, the recruiting, teaching and promoting of Black Male Directors.
Number 13. That all Black retired teachers volunteer to return to those Black schools which gave them life, an opportunity and a career to save our Black youth.
Number 14. That the truth of the cruel, horrific and perilous journey of the life of Black folks in America be described in textbooks and taught in schools across in America. Let the truth be told.
Number 15. That the following be enshrined in the halls of the museums of America...Fannie Lou Hamer, Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King, Barbara Jordan, Shirley Chisholm, Thurgood, Marshall, Ida B. Wells, Harriet Tubman, Benjamin Mays, Rosa Parks, Marcus Garvey... and others whose names will be added annually. These are the heroes who dedicated their life in service to their country...AMERICA.

Jogos limpos e disputados caracterizam a segunda edição do Agita UFU 2022

Educa e Engenharias terminaram no empate.

No segundo tempo, na modalidade feminina, Monetária (x Computação) e Fisioterapia (x Aplicada) levaram a melhor e Humanas e Biológicas empataram. No masculino, Computação (x Humanas), Odonto (x Psico), Fisio (x Aplicada) e Agrárias (x Exatas) venceram.
A Computação retornou à quadra com o time masculino e derrotou a Humanas.
Tivemos, no máximo, três treinos”.
O mesmo duelo aconteceu no feminino. A Fisio venceu a Aplicada e alimentou a confiança para a Olimpíada: “Nosso time está treinando desde o início do ano. Estamos preparadas.
