oh btw i get even more why brennan (like me) clocked sophomore year fabian as fucked up and sad even if some of the other pcs were like "what are you talking about dude" . it's because the basic core theses of fabian and leiland eftbk as characters are actually pretty similar
#AND matt mercer was like 'yes absolutely. my character has so many issues' meanwhile b4 lou could even say anything siobhan/adaine#went 'fabian isnt depressed his life rules.'#which like. 1) deeply incorrect statement. 2) fairly in character for adaine to say. 3) unfortunately this caused#a pretty big shift in tone w regards to how seriously fabian's arc ended up being executed#2.5) i could write a whole other post on how point 2 could be a super interesting thing to explore w adaine#she starts off so aware of there being no love from her parents towards her. so she sees love between a parent and a child#and cant conceptualize their relationship being ultimately harmful. like she learned long ago that there was no point seeking approval from#her parents meanwhile fabian made it his whole entire life's goal to do just that thing. both of them are fucked up in opposite directions.#crunchy concept yet very unexplored. and i'm not expecting this to happen in a potential s3 im just throwing ideas around like basebal#d20#eftbk#fantasy high#sorry wrote all those tags then forgot to elaborate on how fabian and leiland are similar anyway it's this whole idea of#having this unhealthy dependency on the approval of someone you admire to the ends of the earth despite them being#fully and clearly a toxic influence on you. The whole illusion of inflated self worth howthat all crumbles when you Realize how fragile you#whole entire worldview was. and THEN you have an embarrassing breakdown in front of ur friends#and this is SO terrifying because you have really tried your best to look really cool and put-together in front of them#it's the 'getting knocked down SO hard and having to build yourself up by recognizing the love from your friends#+finding something completely different from the person you hinged your entire being on in order to find your way to the surface' of it all#also galfast/whitclaw are surprisingly similar narrative wise it's so funny to me. th storytelling series of nat 1s against an op enemy </3#i think it WAS easier to execute leiland's character arc in the way it was bc a) he was played to be so CLEARLY insecure from minute 1#and b) it is very easy to condemn ripoff sauron and say 'yeah this guy sucked and we're glad that leiland and maggie are free from him'#meanwhile for fabian. a) he has convinced himself that nothing is wrong with him even though there so clearly is#and b) you have to acknowledge that bill loved his son so deeply yet was such a bad influence on him#it's such a bittersweet-bitter complexity and i imagine it would be super hard to pull off esp when bill and fabian's dynamic is#played as fairly comedic most of the time. in this vein of 'this evil guy is so evil but he cares about his son this hard and it's funny'#and also just the fact this kind of bitter complicated parent-child dynamic is very rarely portrayed and pulled off well.#WHY the fuck are these tags so long if you read all this i'm so sorry

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve been friends with the triplets for most of my life. We just click.
I’ve always had a slight crush on Chris, he’s the first one I met.
I was scribbling a drawing in kindergarden, sitting at a table all by myself, when Chris came up to me. He started to talk to me and rant about something, until he declared us friends.
We grew up together, went to the same elementary and middle school. But being a rich kid, my parents wanted me to go to a private high school for better education.
So now I go to a private high school in Boston, while the triplets go to Somerville high school.
At first I really didn’t want to go, since it was a private school with uniforms and all. But my parents weren’t letting up, and even threatened to send me to a boarding school in Switzerland.
So I reluctantly agreed.
There was this girl, Eva. Your basic blonde girl with green eyes.
Now, I never liked Eva’s friend, but that was years ago, and I don’t think they’re even friends anymore.
Anyway, me and Eva share the same AP European history class.
We don’t talk a lot though.
★ ★ ★
I walk down the hallway making my way towards the door. Today was a draining day and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep.
But I have homework and-
My thoughts are cut off as I stop in my track raising an eyebrow. There was chris, standing in front of the main entrance of the school.
“Y/n?” He asks excitedly. It’s like my brain pauses for a moment.
“Chris?” I ask back.
At this point I hadn’t seen Chris or his brothers in a month or so. I was too busy studying and they were busy with lacrosse.
I live in Boston at the border to Somerville. And Chris lives in Somerville. But my school is 40 minutes away from his by car.
He opens his arms and I gladly hug him. I sigh as we embrace, my eyes closing briefly.
“Why are you here?” I ask. After all, Chris, to my knowledge didn’t have a drivers license and no reason to be here.
“Well, you know Eva? Well I gave her my jacket a week ago and I came to pick it up since she goes to your school-“ He rants, his words come out fast and jumbled by how excited he is to see me.
“How do you know Eva?” The words come out sassy. And honestly if i wasn’t hyper aware of the fact that we’re on school grounds I’d slip in a swear word.
“Well a week ago I was out in Boston shopping with Matt and Nick and this girl came up to me asking for my jacket since she was cold. Just out of nowhere” he starts to rant again, but I don’t even have half the mind to interrupt him.
After all, this felt like two of my separate worlds were colliding. And I didn’t like it one bit. He didn’t seem to dislike her like I did, wich only made me despise her more.
“And you gave it to her? A stranger?” I raise an eyebrow a huff leaving my lips.
I sound more sassy than I intend to, but I can’t help it.
Students walk past us slowly. Being in a private school most people loved it here. They weren’t pushing to leave.
We stand at the side of the main entry, still inside.
“Yeah. She asked for it” he sasses back, matching my attitude. Yet his smile stays big on his face and I could tell he wasn’t serious.
“What if she stole it?” I roll my eyes looking back up at Chris who had a few inches on me.
“That’s what I said too.” He agrees dramatically. “So she offered to give me her snap and told me she’d give it back to me next opportunity she got.”
That seems a bit dumb to me. She’s rich, she could just buy a new jacket if she’s outside and cold.
“You’ve been talking?” I question. I cringe slightly at the jealous tone lacing my words but Chris doesn’t seem to pick up on it.
“Yeah” he chirps back happily.
Oh so now they were snapping too?
He sticks out like a sore thumb. The way he carries himself, the way he smiles and acts, is just a dead giveaway that he does not go to a private school. Let alone, the fact that he’d not wearing a uniform like everyone else walking out right now.
Some people give us weird looks, but most don’t even care.
I purse my lips, if my day hadn’t been bad already, it was definitely ruined now.
The problem wasn’t that he had friends, other than me. But the fact that I knew her and knew how much of a Bitch she is, and how he can’t realize that.
The fact that he knew that she goes to my school, and that i probably know her, But didn’t even bother to mention it to me.
“You know what class she has right now?” He asks me. He actually has the nerve to.
“No.” I roll my eyes. Honestly I couldn’t care less. I only share that one class with her.
I turn on my heel to walk away, but before I can he grabs my elbow pulling me back slightly.
“Please don’t leave?” He asks sweetly.
I huff yanking my arm out of his grasp. Sure it could be awkward standing in front of the main door, obviously not going to this school looking like a lost puppy. But it’s Chris, he’ll survive.
“Chris, I have shit to do”
that’s a lie. I don’t have anything planned today. I just wanted to go home and sleep.
“Pretty please??” I huff turning back around. I stand next to him, my arms crossed as I scan the people leaving the building.
“Cute uniform you got there.” He says licking his lips slightly as he looks over my body.
I was wearing the green plaid skirt. And a basic white, collared button down. Along with the schools signature green cardigan and the tie.
I had so many layers on it was crazy. Since it was a more chilly day in Boston I had my tights on, but under the tights I had Thermo leggings on to keep me warm.
Honestly if people at public schools think the dress code is strict they should go to a private school for a day.
Once three buttons from the top of my collared shirt were unbuttoned and I was dress coded for it.
Atleast the skirt wasn’t horrendously long.
It could still be considered a mini skirt if you squint.
“You say that every time you see me in it” I scoff. I can’t help the fact I’m being sassy, I’m just in a horrible mood.
“I mean it.” He answers.
But before i can respond I hear an annoying voice from in front of me. “Hey Chris.” I turn my head to look at Eva.
The bitch is smiling wide. She was wearing the khaki skirt and the navy blazer with the black tights.
I purse my lips. God I wish I could dress however I want to for school.
“Hi Eva.” Chris greets her with a hug.
I physically try to hold back a scowl. They talk about something and I drown Out Eva’s pitched, bitchy tone.
Of corse Chris wouldn’t pick up on the flirting. But I see the way she smiles at him. The way her eyes trail over his face and linger at his lips for too long.
And I don’t know why I’m getting all territorial, but I guess I’m scared that Chris won’t have time to hang out anymore if he starts dating.
Either that or I just know how much of a bitch she is and I could treat him better than she ever could.
“Y/n this is Eva, Eva this is y/n” Chris makes us shake hands. He introduces us like we don’t know each other.
She chuckles at the silly gesture. She doesn’t hate me and I don’t hate her either. I just don’t like her, and the way she acts.
I’m rich, sure. And I’m more wealthy then her, but atleast I don’t act like a brat.
We start to walk, with them chatting, and me just trailing behind them.
We get to Eva’s car, she’d said something about driving him home or something. Does this girl know he lives like more than 40 minutes away?
My skin crawls at the thought of them being together in her car for that long. All alone.
“Chris come here” I wave him over for a second. Eva doesn’t question it instead going on her phone.
He walks over to me. I grab him by the shoulder to pull him down as I whisper in his ear. “You always pick the worst people to befriend.”
I let go of him. He groans rolling his eyes. His past two friendships with girls he befriended had ended horribly. But it was so predictable.
“Y/n/n. Come on” he scoffs. I turn to walk away to my own car to drive home.
Until he grabs my arm again pulling me back. “Can we talk.” He mumbles his arms wrapping a round my torso his chest pressed against my back.
“Not now.” I huff pushing myself off of him slightly. He wasn’t holding me tightly so I get out of his grip fairly easily.
“Y/n” he huffs.
“Don’t start.” I sass at him. I clench my jaw. I feel disappointed but not surprised. Eva wasn’t the type to show guys she’s interested in just how bitchy she really is.
“I gotta go, have fun.” I smile at him sarcastically. I let my smile drop as fast as it had appeared finally walking away from them.
But when I glance over my shoulder he’s already standing next to her smiling down at her.
★ ★ ★
The whole week after she found out I knew him, she’d constantly call him, and be around me and tell me stuff about him as if I didn’t know.
She’d sho me pictures of them together, she’d tell me jokes that I’ve heard before.
It was just the same old recycled bullshit.
He’d told her that we’ve known each other for basically forever. Why the hell was she talking to me like I didn’t know him?
That weekend I went over to the triplets house like I usually do, ready to sleepover.
I was in nicks bedroom talking to him.
“God, Chris always has terrible friends. And he needs to stop talking to everyone he sees.” Nick says with an eye roll.
This was our weekly complaining session.
“I know right, he befriended some girl from my school-“ I’m cut off by Nick.
“Eva?” I nod.
“I met her a few days ago and she’s so annoying.” He agrees slapping my arm a few times as he gets worked up.
“Right.” I scoff agreeing with him.
“And she totally has a thing for Chris.” He rolls his eyes hard.
I purse my lips. Good to know that I’m not delusional and that someone else sees it too.
After that the conversation topic shifts until Nick is ranting about some random TikTok song, and about how it’s obviously written to go TikTok viral and whatnot.
★ ★ ★
“Where are you gonna sleep tonight?” Nick asks, lying flat on his back, on his bed.
I slept over almost every weekend. And usually I’d rotate between whose bed space I’ll take up.
It is Friday, I always come over Friday after school. And then I stay until Sunday. And Sunday afternoon I go back home.
I always stay over on the weekends unless I have like an upcoming exam or something.
“Uhm.” I pause. I should sleep in Matt’s room tonight. But I want to talk with Chris more.
“Chris” I state. Nick doesn’t even question it.
The last time I’d slept over was over a month ago. and while sure, we did hang out in the past month, I spent all my weekends studying.
Nick had no mind to question me. He couldn’t care less. I could tell he’d missed me, and knowing I was sleeping over was comforting no matter where I slept.
We talk for a bit more until I stand up and pick up my overnight bag. I hug Nick and tell him I’m gonna head to Chris’ room.
We really need to talk about making good friends, and who to not befriend.
Because it keeps happening that Chris will pick out the shittiest people to befriend. And god it’s so irritating having to listen to him complain after they ‘betray’ him.
I walk upstairs to Chris’ room and unceremoniously swing the door open.
Once the door opens I’m immediately greeted with the sight of the pale pink LED’s on. There he was laying on his bed laying ON his side his phone up to his face.
“Oh hi y/n” he smiles at me briefly before going back to staring at his phone.
Chris usually called me any nickname under the sun before calling me my actual name.
Eva’s piercing voice echos out of the phone speakers making my expression sour immediately.
“Hi y/n” she says loudly. I can’t help the eye roll.
“Chris.” I hiss under my breath my eyes narrowed in a glare. He glances back at me his lips pursing in mild annoyance.
He tells her he’s got to go and that he’ll call her back. Chris then hangs up, slightly sitting up, his back pressed against his head bored.
I walk in fully, now closing the door behind me.
I put my overnight bag on his desk.
“I think she likes you.” I say simply my lips tugged into a straight line.
He huffs a laugh as if he thinks I’m joking.
I look over my shoulder, observing the grey sweatpants and white wife beater combo.
He crossed his arms staring back at me.
“I’m dead serious.” I say flatly. “Ever since she found out that I know you, she’s been coming to me in breaks and talking about you like I give a fuck.”
He poked his tongue into his cheek his expression falling flat “you’re serious?” He asks his voice painfully monotone.
“Of corse you didn’t realize” I roll my eyes turning back to look at my backpack.
“Whatever” I roll my eyes. I grab my make up bag that I always had in his room and I walk out the room to the bathroom to take off my make up.
After a few minutes I come back to see him on his phone again.
“Shit you’re right.”
Chris breathes out not even looking at me just saying that. He was going through previous messages only now seeing the underlying flirtation in her choice of words.
I raise my eyebrow at him before it registers what he is saying.
“I know” I say simply.
“How do I let her down slowly?” He asks his eyes finally going up to meet mine. His blue eyes only seem more exaggerated under the pink LED lights.
Before walking away from the door I lock it, he sends me a questioning glance but ultimately doesn’t say anything.
“You know, like how do I tell her I’m not interested, without saying that?” He adds still looking at me.
I walk up to the side of his bed.
I then roll my eyes getting on the bed. I sit next to him my back against the headboard as well.
We’re both quiet, the air in the room thickening. I can practically feel my skin burning up.
“How about you make a bold statement?” I break the silence after a moment.
Before he can respond I turn and get on his lap. My eyes are dark as I Simply sit on his thighs.
His hands go to my waist out of instinct. My arms wrapping around his neck.
He huffs out a breath his cheeks tinted a slight red. “What? you wanna make a sex tape or something?” He rolls his eyes.
I roll my eyes back at him. “That would be bold, but I don’t want her to see your dick.”
“Ooh possessive?” He teases. Chris unconsciously squeezes my side making me whine under my breath.
He chuckles at the sound, but before he can comment on it I’m speaking again. “I was thinking hickey , but if you want to fuck so bad then-“ I cut myself off.
“We can do both” he assures.
I lick my lips. And before I know it I move his face with my hand tilting his head to the side. My lips touch his jawline. I kiss down his jawline to his neck before I start to suck harshly.
He lets out a harsh breath his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows.
“Easy ma, you got all the time In The world.”
Ma. I genuinely don’t know where he heard that, but at some point he just started calling me ma or mama.
Like I said, he used every pet name under the sun, before saying my actual name.
I pull away for a second my eyes scanning the small purple bruise on his neck.
“No.” I breathe out harshly before starting to peck his neck again. Until I bite down, relatively low on his neck close to the other hickey.
I bite hard, making sure my teeth print would be there while also sucking another hickey into his skin.
He hisses at the harsh feeling, his hands clenching and unclenching on my waist. He doesn’t stop me tho. Quite contrary, I hear a few whines leave his mouth. His sounds sounding borderline like moans.
I pull away admiring his neck.
I move the strap of his wife beater to the side, kissing down his collarbone. I suck more marks into his skin, until I deem it enough.
“You wanna tap this, handsome?” I tease , my eyes meeting his pale blue ones.
His eyes are half lidded and his pupils blown out in pleasure.
It’s really late by now. It’s dark outside. And the light pink LED lights make his blue eyes look even bluer.
“Please?” He asks sweetly his tone feigning innocence.
I can feel the hardness press up against my clothed core. I grin back at him, my eyes dark in lust and half lidded like his.
I cross my arms and tug off my t shirt. I throw it to the ground, letting Chris Bask in the sight of my bra covered chest.
The lust radiating off of him only seems to double.
“So pretty.” He coos. And before I know it he’s leaning forward and kissing my chest.
He glances up at me through his lashes and mumbles against my skin. “Can I leave hickeys too?”
I chuckle at the question. It really didn’t matter for me. My schools dress code is strict and I would have to cover them up anyway.
“Under the neckline” I nod simply. And before I realize it he’s sucking on the tender skin of one of my boobs.
He licks and sucks at the skin, half my boob covered in his saliva now.
I tug in his top. He groans against me, obviously not wanting to pull away. But he eventually does, I pull the wife beater over his head and throw it to the floor.
His hand goes up to cup my other boob while he kisses down from my collarbone to my chest and then sucks another hickey at the top of it.
I card my hand through his hair while I don’t bother pulling him off. He lets me stroke his hair moaning into my skin.
He pulls away, his eyes even darker than before. his hair now messy as well.
I get off of him. He groans at the loss of contact. I can see he’s about to complain. But before he can, I start to undo my pajama pants and slide them down.
My black lacy thong and my black lacy bra match.
Chris had made fun of me for wearing such ‘slutty’ underwear before. After all whenever I showered here I left some of my clothes, namely my underwear, here.
I had my own little section in Chris’ closet filled with my panties and bras.
“Fuck.” He breaths out closing his eyes briefly and then opening them again as if checking if he was seeing things.
He starts to shift and tug down his own sweatpants. He eagerly tugs them off along with his boxers letting his cock spring free.
My mouth quite literally waters at the sight of his hard dick lying flat against his stomach.
He lays down flat on his back looking to his side to look me in the eyes.
“Please ride me ma.”
He says in such a pleading and whiny tone, how could I say no to that.
I walk past his bed to his desk and pick up my phone from where I’d put it.
I walk back tugging the thong off swiftly. I get on top of him straddling his torso. I grind myself against his dick, feeling it glide between my wet folds.
I tug on my bra trying to get it off. And when I finally do, it’s also discarded quickly.
“Fuck, you’re so gorgeous mama.” He sighs looking at my boobs, both of them having small hickeys on them.
He puts his two hands on my waist lifting me slightly. He trails one hand down to my folds examining my pussy.
I feel him push his middle finger into my cunt abruptly to wich I moan.
He hums as if he was thinking. “So tight baby.” He coos his second hand on my waist caressing my skin gently.
“Gotta stretch this pussy out. We don’t want it to tear do we?” Chris asks sarcastically, obviously joking.
I lick my lips and let out a dry chuckle. His girth really did look painfully big. Atleast for what I was used to.
It wasn’t like he was that big, but it was definitely well above average.
I hand him my phone so he can start recording and that’s just what he does. He uses his hand from my waist to film this.
The camera pointing right at my pussy. He pushes a second finger in, briefly finger fucking me and scissoring his fingers to stretch me more.
“So fucking soaked.” He groans under this breath.
Chris takes his fingers out of me grabbing his hard dick and jerking it for a second. I lift myself and he positions it at my cunt, while also making sure to keep the camera at the right angle.
I push myself down letting out a breathy moan.
His hand, that’s not holding my phone, goes to my waist to steady me.
I suddenly push myself down on him completely. I whine loudly, my body jerking forward at the impact. He groans at the feeling of being balls deep in me.
“You okay?” He asks rubbing my waist gently in comfort.
“Yea” I breathe out my eyes closing as I try to get used to the feeling.
My legs are already numb and I’m already questioning why I’m on top.
I start to slowly bounce myself on him. He watches through my phone, his eyes glued to where we connect, seemingly fascinated by the sight.
“So tight for me.” He breaths out harshly trying to hold back loud groans. He was painfully aware of the fact that his siblings and parents were home.
I start to bounce on him more listening to him shower me in praises and compliments.
“Fuck.” His eyes stay trained on the phone screen, but he occasionally glances up to look at me.
I start to ride him harder the compliments and praise only making me wetter.
“God, come on, get yourself off on my dick like the slut you are.” He huffs. His free hand lightly on my waist to help me steady my movements.
He tries not to be too loud, both for the camera and because everyone is home.
I lean forward slightly and take my phone from his grasp.
I film his face and his reactions now.
His hands go to my waist slightly squeezing my skin as I start to rock my hips harder.
“Good boy, be quiet yeah.”
I feel the knot in my stomach tighten threatening to snap. The constant hit to my sweet spot is so overwhelming, and before I know it I’m releasing on his dick.
my hands are shaky but my phone is still angled at him, catching his mouth dropping in pleasure.
I clench around him letting out soft whines and moans, while Chris uses his hands to make me grind on him.
After a second when I calm down he grins. Chris holds his hand out for the phone that I give to him. He lifts me slightly to show the Camera the white circle my cum created around his length.
He makes no move to switch our positions so I just grind into him.
Chris turns the recording off and puts my phone on the nightstand. His hands find their way to my hips holding me tightly.
But before he can switch our positions like he was lplanning to, his phone starts ringing.
I glance ova seeing Eva as the caller ID. I roll my eyes. I feel pretty over stimulated already, but I want her to know.
“Pick up.” I demand under my breath. Our eyes meet for a moment but he eventually complies.
He leans over and takes his phone, picking up the call with a frown.
As soon as I hear her annoying voice i start to ride him again, making sure that the slapping sounds are loud enough.
He tries not to groan at the movements, trying to keep himself together.
“Eva, uh” he pauses his eyes locking with mine once more. He can’t help it when his free hand on my waist urges me to go harder.
“I’m kind of busy right now”
But she doesn’t get the hint and questions him. “Too busy to talk to me?”
Fucking pick me.
“Yeah well” he lets out a soft groan, pulling the phone away so she doesn’t hear it too well.
She starts to yap about some unimportant shit. Chris puts the phone on the side of the bed sitting up.
I stop moving due to Chris harsh grip. He pulls me off and flips us around.
I grab the pillow re- adjusting it so the side of my face is buried in it, my ass up for him.
He grins a soft slap echoing through the room. He kneeds my ass trying to smooth the pain of the slap.
He spreads my cheeks and pushes himself back in. He immediately starts up a harsh and fast pace fucking me into the pillow.
“Are you having sex right now?” Eva questions sounding like a brat who was just denied a toy
He leans over for a second picking up his phone. “No I’m not, why would you think that” he scoffs continuing his relentless attack to my sweet spot.
My core throbs around him, clenching to try and suck him back in.
“Oh my god you are-“ before she can rant about god knows what, Chris hangs up the phone.
He scoffs his grip in my waist tightens as he continues to forcefully pull me back on him.
He goes to the camera app on his phone starting to film once again.
He admires the way his entire length disappears into my tight cunt, and the way he has a white ring around the base of his cock from my previous release.
He picks up pace even more, if that was even humanly possible, until I feel like im going to cum again.
I turn my face and burry it in the pillow trying to muffle my noises. Because honestly I’d be surprised if the whole house didn’t already know what we’re doing.
“Close” I whine out between incoherent moans.
“Me too ma. Hold it for a bit, yeah?” He says sweetly his harsh actions not so sweet.
“Where do you want it?” He keeps glancing between the camera and me, sometimes angling the camera to show my back and the back of my head too.
“Inside” I whine. And that mildly catches Chris off guard.
He only picks up pace tho, his palm meets my butt again, in a harsh slap. I moan at the feeling. “Come on come for me” he demands.
And before I know it the knot in my stomach snaps once more my thighs shaking and my cunt clenching a round him.
The Camera is focused on my cunt. His thrusts get more sloppy and messy until he gives me one last harsh thrust.
Chris releases into me, filling me up to the brim and stuffing me.
We both stay like that for a moment to catch our breathes.
He stops the recording and throws the phone next to me, onto the bed.
He trails his hand over my ass and lower back, before gently grabbing my hips and pulling out.
He lets out a breath seeing his length covered in our combined juices, and me leaking.
He pushes me on my side slightly, so I’m laying down fully. I sigh turning my face into the pillow my arm under it.
“You okay?” He asks softly. Chris kisses my shoulder softly.
I just realized that we hadn’t kissed once. This entire time, his lips hadn’t been on mine not once. And I don’t know if he did that on purpose or not.
“ m’ good” I sigh closing my eyes briefly.
I nuzzle my face into the pillow, breathing out. I blink my eyes open again sighing.
I feel his eyes burn into the side of my face.
“Were you jealous?”
My eyes shoot open and I turn my head slightly to look at him. “About what?” I say simply playing dumb.
“Why do you not like her.” He asks again.
“I never liked her.”
“Right, and you don’t like that she likes me.” He states simply.
I scoff. “Don’t flatter yourself” I huff and nuzzle my face into the pillow.
“You literally have my cum inside of you right now, ma.” He huffs in response.
I purse my lips burring my face harder into the pillow.
“I like that.” He says again making me look back at him. Chris is looking down at me with a sweet smile
“What?” I ask and look at him from the corner of my eyes.
“That you’re jealous.” Chris replies, his smirk ever so cocky.
“Why would I be jealous?” I huff, replying sarcastically.
“Don’t deny it ma. I think it’s cute.” Chris chuckles. He grins down at me victoriously. He lays down next to me staring into my eyes.

i hit 100 followers while i was asleep (absolutely bananas imo but i’m so thrilled y’all are enjoying my steddie dads verse bc i’ve literally never had so much fun writing before) so here's a sneak peek of a wip featuring the Harrington fam
Eddie does not understand sports.
He may be approaching fifty years old and way past his old ways of rejecting every notion that doesn’t perfectly align with his own interests, but even after all these years, the wires in his brain simply cannot wrap themselves around sports no matter how hard he tries.
And he does try because, naturally, he has three daughters, Moe, Robbie, and Hazel, all of whom play sports.
To be clear – his kids can do literally anything they want, bar none.
He’s still in goddamn awe with the whole arrangement that is the life he lives every day – kids and a house and a job he loves and all that with Steve Harrington of all people. There’s no way Eddie would start fucking all that up by projecting his own weird quirks onto his children. He refuses to be the kind of parent that prevents their kids from doing anything just because they don't get it. If the girls want to play sports, they’re gonna play sports. Nothing wrong with that.
Still, sports are one of those things he takes the back seat and lets Steve hold the reins for, especially now that thirteen-year-old Moe is pretty deep into the whole basketball thing.
Steve understands the politics of the game, both on the court — like knowing which refs are gonna be biased towards which team and noting Moe’s play-time each game — and off. He schmoozes the coach, he’s friends with all the parents, all the things Moe, at thirteen, doesn’t even notice and Eddie, while aware of it, doesn’t understand. He still can barely follow the games themselves (and he goes to as many as he can, though he and Steve are outnumbered by one and with the prospect of the girls carting themselves around still a distant fantasy their schedule is insane so he can’t make them all). He does his best to follow his husband’s lead but Steve doesn’t always react to things the way Eddie thinks he will. He doesn’t bat an eye when a kid gets smacked in the face with a ball, nor at the impossibly loud thud when someone hits the deck (look — he gets the floor is hollow, but it is loud). He’s completely unbothered by the fit Moe throws every game whenever she’s inevitably benched for having an attitude with her opponents or her teammates or the coach or the ref or just about anybody who tries to get in her way.
As is what happened at Moe’s game yesterday.
Eddie hadn’t seen it — well, he’d seen it, but seeing something and understanding what he’s actually looking at are two totally different things. From what he gathers, Moe had missed an easy shot and gotten pissed off in her own little way about it, so she’d launched herself at whoever on the opposing team had gotten their hands on the ball after it ricocheted off the backboard. Unfortunately for Moe, the team they were playing had a reputation for being a little too aggressive for a middle school league, so when she’d hit the ground, she hit it hard. Moe had been pulled off the court by her coach (carded, maybe? Eddie still isn’t sure how that works in basketball) and scowled on the bench for the rest of the game.
Steve had tried to reason with her on the drive home (an interesting choice, in Eddie’s opinion).
“Darling,” he’d said, “I totally understand being upset about missing a layup, but I don’t know how to get it through your head that intentionally fouling someone isn’t the way to go about resolving that emotion. I love you and I support you, but I’m getting tired of watching you play for three minutes and then sit on the bench for the rest of the game.”
“Talk to the coach then,” Moe had grumbled.
“About what?” Steve exclaimed, “Moe — you do it on purpose!”
The conversation had ended not long later because Moe decided to give them both the silent treatment (a clear sign that she knew she was in the wrong even if she didn’t want to admit it) and Eddie thought that was the end of it (for that game, at least). Then, Moe threw them a curveball by spending most of that evening in the bathroom throwing up, at which point she admitted that her head had caught more of that fall during her basketball game than she’d originally let on.
Steve doesn’t mess around with head injuries (for obvious reasons), so the next morning he calls Moe out of school and brings her to their pediatrician to get checked out.
A couple hours after Robbie and Hazel boarded the school bus bound for their elementary school, Steve and Moe return home.
“So what's the verdict?” Ed asks as they enter the kitchen.
“She's concussed,” Steve announces.
“Like father, like daughter.”
“No sports, no bright lights, no reading, no school, no phone,” Steve says pointedly, and Moe only scowls harder. She’d been using the incident as a leveraging tactic in her crusade to get a phone. Not being able to play sports was a no-brainer; they’d all seen that one coming, so even as recently as this morning, she’d been claiming that she’ll “die of boredom without a phone,” while she recovers.
Even as recently as this morning, she’d been largely unsuccessful.
“Thirteen-year-old children do not need phones,” Steve had told her, “If someone wants to talk to you, they can call the house, and if it's urgent enough that it needs to be right now, you can get walkie talkies.”
“No one uses walkie talkies.”
“Your dad and I used walkie talkies all the time.”
“Uh, pretty sure it was just the one time, Steve,” Eddie pointed out.
“Yeah! And it worked out great!”

Rumors were an inseparable part of the ton, and you were well aware of that. Every season people found different things to gossip about and you’d had your fair share of being the subject of the said gossip, so it wasn’t supposed to be this surprising that they kept talking even after you got married.
But it didn’t mean you liked this particular rumor.
This was the second time Lady Whistledown had mentioned just how close Margery and Benedict seemed to be with each other, joking and laughing in the park when they ran into each other and even though you knew it was nonsense, you still couldn’t help the discomfort at the pit of your stomach.
Especially now that you were seeing it happen on the other side of the park.
“If I see your parents, I’ll give them a piece of my mind,” Lottie said, making you turn your glances to her. “They show up and make you feel bad all of a sudden? How dare they?”
“Lottie—”
“And to think they’ve been mean to you all this time?”
Well, what your parents had done was a bit more than just being mean to you, but you weren’t going to correct her on that.
“Simply unacceptable,” Lottie said, pointing at you with the cookie she was holding. “I’ll be with you at all times starting now, so that if they dare bother you again, I can handle them.”
You repressed a laugh.
“Much appreciated,” you said. “But you can’t be with me at all times Lottie, you have a wedding to plan.”
A smile brightened up her face. “I do!” she said. “But nevertheless Y/N, you are alright are you not?”
“Sure,” you said. “We don’t even need to talk about it.”
Lottie took a deep breath.
“I hate to ask, you know I do,” she said. “But have you seen Whistledown?”
Your eyes found Margery and Benedict who looked very much interested in their own conversation, Benedict frowning before he nodded at something Margery told him.
“It’s nonsense,” you forced yourself to say, and Lottie pressed her lips together.
“It is, but…” she said. “You know what? I suddenly remembered I had something to say to Benny, if you’ll excuse me.”
“Wait—Lottie no!” you whispered but she had already walked away from you to Benedict and Margery. Benedict turned to her, and raised his brows at something she said, then quickly bid Margery goodbye and followed Lottie as she started walking towards the street vendor to buy some lemonade while Margery walked to Lucy.
“Y/N,” you heard Anthony’s voice and looked over your shoulder.
“Anthony,” you said. “Hello.”
“May I?” he motioned at the spot beside you and you tilted your head in confusion, then shrugged your shoulders.
“Of course.”
“How have you been?”
“Fine—you never ask me how I’ve been,” you said, confusion laced in your voice. “What is happening? Are you sick?”
“No?”
“Are you dying?” you asked, making him roll his eyes. “It would be very thoughtless of you to die before you spend a lot of years with Lottie as a married couple, she’s very much in love with you so if you—”
“I’m not,” he cut you off. “It’s just that, Benedict mentioned a pair of unwelcomed guests.”
You pursed your lips, trying to shake off the discomfort.
“And?” you asked. “What exactly did he tell you?”
“Not much to be honest,” Anthony said with a shrug of his shoulders. “I don’t know the details nor do I need to. I just want you to know that we’re family, so whatever you need, whatever you want, just tell me, alright? No questions asked.”
You blinked a couple of times. “…Easy as that?”
“Easy as that.”
“I thought you would have a thousand questions.”
“I don’t need to hear a thousand answers to protect my family,” he stated. “You’re one of us now. We will always be there for you, no matter what.”
You blinked a couple of times, the back of your eyes burning as a warmth spread through your chest, but before you could say anything, Benedict and Lottie approached you with the lemonade bottles. Benedict pulled his brows together, then motioned between you two.
“No one appears to be stabbed,” he commented. “Is it snowing in hell?”
“Benny!” Lottie elbowed him and he repressed a grin.
“Just wondering,” he said as he held out the lemonade bottle and you took it from him. “Would you like to walk?”
“I would actually,” you said and took his hand, your heart skipping a beat as he pulled you up to your feet, but he didn’t let go of your hand contrary to before. You repressed a smile, then stole a look at Lottie’s maid before turning to Lottie and Anthony.
“Don’t do something scandalous,” you said with a grin, making Benedict chuckle and Lottie gasp, then you started walking beside Benedict.
“So Lottie finally forgave you completely,” you asked him and he nodded his head.
“Took forever but yes,” he said and cleared his throat. “She did mention that Whistledown piece though.”
You raised your brows. “…Oh.”
“I hope you know there’s nothing like that,” he said. “Margery is a very good friend of mine, not to mention I would never do that to you.”
“No I know,” you said in a hurried manner. “I mean if I’m honest, I didn’t even bring it up because it was such nonsense that I almost forgot.”
Well, that was a complete and utter lie, but lucky for you, Benedict seemed to have bought it.
“Right,” he said, nodding his head fervently. “Of course. Lady Whistledown must be running out of gossip to write about.”
“Yeah!” you forced a dry laughter. “I mean you and Margery? Honestly?”
“Unbelievable.”
You took a sip of your lemonade, then motioned between you two. “Because, you know—we’re married.”
“Happily married,” he added in a haste and you nodded.
“Albeit a bit untraditionally.”
“Well—”
“Your mother assumed I was pregnant earlier.”
Perhaps you shouldn’t have said it right when he was sipping his lemonade because he choked on it, pulling the bottle from his lips and coughing before hitting his chest.
“Oh,” he said, taking a deep breath. “And what did you say?”
“Nonexistent Bridgerton remains to be nonexistent,” you joked and scrunched up your nose. “I just said no.”
“Interesting assumption.”
“Uh huh,” you said. “Interesting and impossible at the same time.”
“I’m quite familiar with that concept,” he murmured and you frowned.
“Hm?”
“Nothing,” he said, clearing his throat. “Let’s go by the river, shall we?”
                                               *
After the park, you had decided to go to your uncle and aunt’s house to spend some time with them and Teddy. Granted you still felt on edge especially because you were very well aware of the fact that both your parents knew about their house, and Teddy living there. When you got off the carriage, you looked around and let out a relieved breath upon not seeing either of them, then made your way to the house.
Thankfully, your aunt had no idea about what happened between Benedict and your father because you had only told your uncle at the night of the ball that your father had shown up.
“I don’t know how you and Benedict did it,” your aunt told you, excitement and pride apparent in her voice as a maid brought you tea and biscuits. “But Sir Henry Granville and Lord Gordon Easton! At my ball!”
“They run in the same social circle, auntie,” you said with a small smile. “All artists do, as it turns out. Benedict introduced me to them.”
“Well everyone in my Social Picnic Club has congratulated me for throwing such a spectacular ball,” she said. “I’ve even heard some say that it would be impossible to top it off, can you believe that?”
“I absolutely can,” you said. “It was a wonderful ball, auntie. You put so much effort into it, and it paid off.”
“With your and Benedict’s contribution.”
“We barely did anything other than inviting some friends,” you said. “Will uncle be at the gentlemen’s club the whole day by the way?”
“Mm hm, he’s with his friends,” she said. “Why?”
“Oh no reason, I just thought I could see him.”
She hummed, looking at you over her teacup and you frowned.
“I know that look,” you said. “What is it?”
“Is this about…” she trailed off. “What was on Whistledown earlier?”
You let out a groan. “Auntie!”
She held up her hands, gesturing surrender.
“It was on Whistledown,” she said. “You cannot blame me for being worried.”
“Just because it’s on Whistledown doesn’t mean it’s the truth,” you said. “In fact, it couldn’t be farther away from the truth. Benedict and I are very happily married, and Margery is merely a friend.”
She raised her brows, taking another sip of her tea.
“I heard that Lady Margery is quite charming—not that she’s anywhere close to you!” she added in a haste. “You are the most charming of course.”
“More like harming,” you mused and she shot you a lighthearted glare.
“Y/N.”
“What?” you said. “Just saying.”
“Benedict is completely in love with you, we all know that,” she said. “The same with you obviously, you are very much in love with him, anyone who looks at you for more than a second could see that.”
You blinked a couple of times, shifting your weight.
“I mean I wouldn’t say—” you said with a nervous laugh. “One could assume it’s not as—”
“Obvious?” she completed your sentence for you and scoffed. “Of course it is. Have you two seen yourselves?”
You cleared your throat, then reached out to take a bite from the biscuit.
“I’m just trying to make sure these nonsense rumors do not affect you two badly, that is all,” she said and you shook your head.
“It’s not—” you started but before you could even complete your sentence, Teddy rushed into the drawing room.
“Y/N!”
“Oh hello there,” you said, opening your arms as he flung himself to you for you to hug him tight. “French lesson is over for the day?”
“Yes!” he said and you pulled back to look at him, then tilted your head at the clumsily tied cravat around his neck. You stole a look at your aunt who looked like she was trying her hardest to keep a straight face, and turned to Teddy.
“What is this?”
“It’s a cravat!” he said, excitement laced in his tone. “Benedict always wears them, did you notice that?”
You bit back at smile. “Oh does he?”
“He does!”
“And now you’re…wearing cravats?”
He nodded, his eyes sparkling.
“I want them in different colors because Benedict has them in different colors, I told uncle and he said he would get me many,” he said. “This is uncle’s as well, you see.”
Your lips curled upwards. “Ah?” you said. “And you chose a green one for today?”
“It’s pale green!”
“Pale green, my apologies.”
“It’s alright, auntie told me it was pale green,” he patted your hand as if trying to console you. “We can learn those together.”
You nodded solemnly.
“That would be wonderful,” you said, reminding yourself not to laugh. “And you chose pale green because…?”
“Benedict was wearing a pale green cravat the other day,” he said, proud of himself for remembering it and you pinched his cheek.
“It looks wonderful on you Teddy.”
“Really?”
You kissed the top of his hair. “Really,”
“He is growing up so fast,” your aunt said, shaking her head with a smile. “I fear I will blink and he will be a gentleman of the ton.”
You let out a laugh and Teddy took a sharp breath.
“Y/N, I will show you my new sculptures!” he said, tugging you by the hand. “I made a dozen of them, come and see!”
“Am I allowed to boast about how I was the first one to see them when you’re a famous sculptor?”
“Yes!”
“I’ll be back auntie,” you said with a grin and stood up, letting Teddy lead you out of the room.
                                             *
You had spent more time in your uncle’s house than originally planned. Your uncle insisted you stayed for dinner, so you sent Benedict a short note to let him know, inviting him as well but he politely declined, saying that he was in the middle of a painting. After dinner, Teddy showed you how he made some of his sculptures the way Benedict had shown him so by the time you left there, it was already near midnight and raining. A carriage went past your carriage a minute before you arrived home, making you frown and look over your shoulder, but you didn’t have the time to dwell on it much before your carriage entered through the gates and stopped in front of your house. The coachman helped you out and you thanked him, then rushed home to get away from the rain.
“Ma’am,” the housekeeper greeted you and you smiled at her.
“Hello,” you said as a maid took your cloak. “Oh I must change my clothes, it’s raining like crazy outside! Is Paula asleep?”
“No ma’am, I’m here,” Paula said as she rushed to you and you shot her an apologetic grin.
“Please tell me you did not stay up for me.”
“Alright, I will not,” she said and you let out a giggle, then started walking upstairs with her.
“I don’t know where this storm came from, honestly…” you mused, turning the corner in the hallway before peeking at the other end of it where Benedict’s studio was, but there was no light coming from there. “Is Benedict asleep?”
Paula didn’t answer you so you turned your head to look at her better.
“Is Benedict asleep?” you asked again, thinking she didn’t hear you and she shifted her weight.
“No he’s not, ma’am.”
You stopped walking, a frown pinching your brows together.
“Oh?” you said. “Where is he?”
Paula averted her gaze, making your frown deeper.
“Paula?” you said. “What is happening?”
“N—nothing, ma’am.”
“No, something is happening,” you said. “What is it? Has he gone outside or something?”
“He’s home, ma’am.”
You narrowed your eyes. “Where?”
“He is still in the greenhouse I think,” she said, still not looking you in the eye and you blinked a couple of times.
“Greenhouse?”  you asked, “Benedict isn’t the gardening type, what is he doing in the greenhouse?”
“They went there earlier, ma’am.”
“They?” you repeated. “Who’s they?”
“Mr. Bridgerton and Lady Margery.”
Your head shot up, your heart dropping to your stomach.
“…I’m sorry?”
“Lady Margery came here an hour after your note saying you would be late arrived,” Paula said in a breath, “She left in her carriage just now, but they both went to the greenhouse straight away when she got here.”
It felt as if the hallway was spinning around you, the fire of fury spreading through your veins.
You had to have been an idiot for not listening to Lady Whistledown’s damn gossip, because apparently Benedict wasted not even a second to prove to you she was right. He was in fact sleeping around just as the rumors said, with Margery, right under your nose in the greenhouse he knew you never stepped foot into ever since you had moved here.
You spun around on your heels to go down the hallway where you came from, then rushed downstairs, your heels echoing on the marble floor. You passed through the foyer, then made your way to the back entrance that led to the backyard where the greenhouse was, but before you could reach there, Benedict stepped inside through the door, a look of surprise crossing his face as soon as he saw you.
“Y/N?”
You passed by him without even acknowledging him, your teeth clenched in anger.
“Wait, where are you—?” he started but you stepped outside into the heavy rain, and strode across the backyard, Benedict catching up with you in seconds.
“Where are you going?”
“Greenhouse,” you spat as the lightning struck in the sky and he stopped dead in his spot for a second before rushing to catch up with you.
“No you can’t—”
“Why not?” you asked through the boom of the thunder, “Can I not see your bachelor’s flat you so conveniently and disrespectfully put near my home?”
He frowned as if he was confused.
“My what?” he asked but you scoffed and kept walking, your head almost pounding from anger. “Y/N no, that’s not—”
“I’m such an idiot,” you said, shaking your head. “To think I was telling everyone Whistledown’s gossip was nonsense while you brought your fucking mistress here the moment you heard I would be late…”
“What?” he asked, shock apparent in his voice as you approached the greenhouse and reached out to hold the handle but he grabbed at your upper arm. “Y/N, just wait a moment—”
You could swear your vision went red as you yanked your arm out of his grip.
“You do not touch me!” you snapped. “I never want to see you ever again, do you hear me? I will apply for divorce tomorrow morning, I will—”
You stopped talking the second you slammed open the greenhouse door, your breath getting caught in your throat as you blinked a couple of times, trying to understand whether you were seeing was in fact real.
You had refused to enter the greenhouse just like you had refused to garden when you and Benedict got married and moved here, and before that, you had seen maybe only five greenhouses in total but none of them looked like this. The large greenhouse looked as if someone had plucked it out of a painting and brought it into life somehow, and you felt your body move on its own accord as you took a step inside almost in a haze. It was entirely made of glass with the plants covering the walls –ivy, if you weren’t mistaken- with a sharp arch on the high ceiling. Even under the moonlight, you could tell the various flowers surrounding you were not among those you could find in anyone’s garden, yours included. It looked so magical that for a couple of seconds you could only stand there and stare with your jaw hanging before approaching a Venus Flytrap, still breathing hard.
“I don’t…” you stammered. “What is this?”
“Well,” Benedict said, leaning back to one of the glass walls. “For starters, it’s not my bachelor’s flat because I don’t have one. It was supposed to be a surprise for tomorrow, I figured you could see it better in the sunlight.”
You blinked a couple of times, then turned to look at him. “But Margery—”
“Has been helping me prepare this, along with Mr. Binsted,” Benedict motioned around you. “They know the rare flowers better than I do. I was going to bring you here once it was completed, took more time than I thought it would. I figured since you were outside, it would be easier for the finishing touch. Like I said, I was going to show you tomorrow now that it’s complete.”
You swallowed thickly, all the fury leaving your body as disbelief took over.
“Complete?” you repeated and Benedict offered you a small smile, then nodded towards the center of the glass wall you were close to, making you turn your head to look at the shelf. The lightning struck the sky again, illuminating the whole greenhouse and you took a sharp breath as soon as your eyes fell on the flower.
Middlemist Red.
You had only seen it in the drawings on your plant books, but having spent over a decade wishing you could see it in real life, you would have recognized it anywhere. You weren’t even aware that Benedict had made a mental note of your favorite flower considering you had told him about it only once so many months ago and it was supposed to be impossible to even find it to gaze upon, let alone having it for yourself, for your own greenhouse.
And somehow Benedict had found it and brought it to you.
“It’s not possible,” you rasped out, still unable to look away from the flower. “It’s—it’s impossible to find Middlemist Red, everyone knows that. It’s the rarest flower in the world.”
“I actually sent word around after you told me about it back at the flower exhibit,” he said, making your head turn. “No one knew where to get it but Margery knows someone who knows someone who—well, you get the picture. At first it was just the Middlemist Red, but then we got married and I know you love flowers so I figured maybe you’d like to have all the rare flowers in a place that belonged to you, so…” he motioned around you. “The greenhouse that is.”
You swallowed thickly, still staring at him, both of you completely drenched with the rain pitter pattering against the glass walls.
“It was just a bud at first, the Middlemist,” he added, taking a step toward you. “And apparently you need to be very careful during that period so we had to wait around two months, and they sent it when it bloomed with a gardener who took care of it on the way here, and you obviously would have seen it if you were here so we took it to Margerys house, and she brought it here and I—”
“You had someone grow the rarest flower in the world and then had it brought here just because I told you it was my favorite flower?” you cut him off, your heart beating in your throat, all your body warm despite the storm outside and he nodded.
“I know you said you wouldn’t garden but when you want to, it’ll all be here,” he said. “I actually have people building a greenhouse back at the country house as we speak, I figured you would want one there as well and—”
He didn’t get to finish his sentence when you rushed into his arms and pulled him down to crash your lips against his, standing on your tiptoes. Your head was spinning with excitement, the fire engulfing you in its flames once more like it had when he kissed you for the first time that night. He cradled the back of your head, pressing your body closer to his while you melted into his touch and it felt as if you two were the only people left in the world, as if the storm somehow took everything and everyone away but you two.
But much to your displeasure he pulled back, drawing a petulant whine from your lips.
“I can’t,” he stepped back, making you blink dumbly in confusion at just how tormented he looked. “You have no idea how much I want to but I told you before, I will not touch you until you—”
“I love you,” you cut him off, still trying to catch your breath and the lightning lit inside the greenhouse once again, letting you see the absolute shock on his handsome face. You tried to swallow the lump in your throat, then shrugged your shoulders.
“I tempted fate just a little too much it seems,” you tried to joke. “I do – I love you. More than I thought it was possible, more than you could possibly know.”
The thunder boomed through the greenhouse and you took a deep breath, nervousness pulsing through you as the words left your lips.
“So, my heart is yours,” you managed to say, shifting your weight. “If you’ll have it.”
Benedict let out a breath, then strode to you to pull you into a kiss, taking your breath away. The feeling was so intoxicating that every single fear, every ounce of nervousness washed away from your mind until the only thing remained was him, and his burning touch, his lips on yours. He lifted you up, letting you wrap your legs around his waist without breaking the kiss and pressed you back to the wall, making you let out a squeal upon feeling the rustle of the ivy leaves behind you, one of the pots slipping a little on the shelf when you accidentally hit it with your elbow.
“No, not the flowers!” you exclaimed with a giggle. “Careful with the flowers!”
“Right, the flowers—” he let out a laugh and turned around with you still in his arms, then laid you down on the floor, his lips brushing yours again. You pushed his drenched shirt off of his body, dragging your fingertips over his chiseled torso, the fire of desire burning through your whole body. He looked so mesmerizing under the moonlight that for a moment you could do nothing but stare at him while he leaned on his forearm, his body covering yours, his hand going to your cheekbone to caress it gently.
“We can stop anytime you want, my love,” he murmured, his words making your heart feel like warm honey in your chest. “You know that, do you not?”
You bit back a smile, then leaned up to brush your lips against his.
“Benedict,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. “Don’t you dare stop.”

Summer Paradise* | Part 2
Summary: Day two of their vacation in Greece. Y/N's parents leave for a romantic excursion so Harry and Y/N have to entertain each other all afternoon.
Pairing: bfd!Harry x reader
Word count: 6.1K
Warnings: Kinda rough? Unprotected, almost getting caught, face fucking, squirting.
Support my work by joining my Patreon!
A/N:  My oh my, I can't believe it's already the last day of April, the last day of uploading every single weekday. It's been a wild ride, especially with a car accident somewhere in the middle of all of the fun and me being behind schedule haha. Anyway, I hope you all love this little one shot!!
Tumblr media
The next morning Y/N gets woken up by the feeling of Harry's hard cock pressing into her ass. Rays of sunshine peek through the curtains, onto her face, alerting her that it's morning. Harry's fast asleep with his head pressed to the back of her neck, little snores leaving his lips. She reaches her arm back, setting it on Harry's hip, and she feels his hand twitch around her waist in reaction.
She then presses her ass back against him he lets out a snore, impulsively jerking forward in his sleep. A soft moan leaves her lips as she can feel the head of his length skimming the curve of her ass. The more she rolls her hips back, the harder he becomes, and she decides maybe she wants to wake him up too.
Reaching behind her, she attempts to wrap her hand around him and Harry grumbles in his sleep. “Y/N?” He hums out, sleep lacing his voice, her name dragged off the tip of his tongue. She shushes him in her soothing voice as he kisses the top of his head. He peeks his eyes open slowly, his cock throbbing from her touches, another grunt leaving his lips. “What are you doing, baby?” He whispers.
“Don't you like my hands on you?” She breathes, continuing to pump her hand.
He hums and closes his eyes, letting his head fall into her shoulder as she drags her thumb over his slit. Harry knew exactly what Y/N was getting at, and it was hard to resist with the way her hand glides up and down the length of him. Her thumb makes swirls as she pumps her fist over him, dragging a breathy sigh past his lips.
“I just want to make you feel good, okay? I think you deserve it after last night.” She sighs back, turning herself around to face him. “You treated me so good.”
She slips out of his t-shirt and tosses it onto the floor, the sheets no longer covering her. Her hand pushes Harry on his shoulder so he rolls over on his back. He watches her eagerly as she settles down on his lap, hovering over his length.
Harry's watching her carefully with sleepy, green eyes. He's wide awake, but his actions are barely making any movement. Y/N guides his cock towards her entrance, latching her teeth on her bottom lip and she rubs his head along her lips. “Mm.” She breathes out as she slowly lowers herself down on him before she pushes back up. “Is this what you want, Sir?” She gasps, his hands gripping her waist.
He revels at the nickname falling from her lips. Such a fast learner she is. Such a good girl, too.
Harry helps her slide up and down on his shaft, his cock beginning to throb. “Yeah, baby. Show me how you ride.” He coaxes, stroking the surface of her skin with his thumbs.
Y/N quickly starts to up her speed and his cock is already hitting spots inside her she wasn't aware of. Her back slightly arches, a loud moan leaving her lips. Y/N plants her palms onto Harry's stomach, holding herself up as her body begins to react to his rough, textured skin against her walls.
Her head hangs back and more cries leave her lips, Harry's grip strengthening so he can help her quickly bounce on his length. His lips twist into a smirk and he begins to thrust into her, her head flopping forward.
“Is this how you wanna come?” He asks. “Riding my cock?”
A broken hum leaves her throat, followed by the sound of Harry's phone buzzing twice on his nightstand. Both of them ignore it because they are in the bliss of their intimate actions. All their focus is on one another, even when it starts buzzing again, neither of them stops their movements.
“Mhm, yes. Please make me come.” She whines.
The way her words tear at the lining of his heart. He wishes nothing but to feel every ounce of pleasure emerge from her. Maybe it's the thought of making her completely, utterly overwhelmed that entices him. Like an aphrodisiac, it sucks him in to see what it is that makes her scream, and it may seem strange. It's hot how his entire attention span has spiralled into just her.
“Can you— fuck.” Her voice trembles as her hips swivel, her lower abdomen tensing. “Are you close?” She finally squeaks, her pitch barely above a whisper as she cries.
His eyes shut with a moan. “I can last a little longer, I know you can too, baby. Don't stop fucking me.” Harry encourages, his head pressing against the back of his pillow.
His nails dig into her skin, and the light pink marks form crescent-like markings. More little whimpers, little mewls are pulled from Y/N, Harry's cock doing the perfect job at making her feel thoroughly used. He manages to push her hips down farther on his shaft, a tiny, achy feeling developing in her lower stomach.
“You're so fucking big.” She tells him with a whine as her throat becomes dry, her whines scratchy. The more he presses his nails into her skin, the more eager she becomes. “My pussy can only take so much.” She adds.
“Your pussy takes me beautifully.” He groans, feeling himself coming closer and closer to his release. “You're a good little girl.”
“I'm gonna- fuck.” Y/N moans as Harry bucks his hips roughly into her, clenching around his length. Her jaw becomes slack and she can't say a word, or rather find her voice, as a tingling feeling rises and heats her insides, then slowly pours throughout her body.
“Fuck, yeah, love. Like tha-“ Harry whimpers are cut off by a knock on his door.
“Harry!” Y/N's father says, followed by another knock, loud enough for both Harry and her to hear.
Both of their hips jerk, letting their arousal bleed away, as her eyes widen when she stares at Harry. “Oh my God.” She gasps.
She suddenly feels so exposed in front of Harry as she stares in shock. She scrambles off his lap, then combs through her hair with her fingers nervously.
“Go in the bathroom, we'll be fine.” He chokes out as she hears her father knock once more on his door.
“Hold on! One minute!” He calls, and Y/N throws a hotel bathrobe at him.
He squeezes his eyes shut, trying to compose himself. Harry slips the bathrobe over his naked body, his cock still hard and wet with her juices. Y/N darts across his room and into his bathroom, just as he swings the door open.
“Ah! Finally, good morning.” Y/N's father says, almost way too chipper, but the cheer disappears when he looks at Harry.
“Um, good morning.” Harry replies awkwardly, sweat coating his forehead. His cheeks are stained a light pink and his hands ball up the ends of his robe.
“Are you ready for breakfast?” He asks. “I texted you a few times, asking what time you wanted to eat. But you didn't respond.”
“I haven't checked my phone yet, sorry. Wasn't up for long. Just going to get dressed and I'll join you guys at the restaurant.” Harry gives a crooked smile, his cheeks and nose becoming flushed as the blood rushes to his face. He then realises that his friend is probably going to find Y/N as well. “I'll ask Y/N to come too. You two go enjoy a cup of coffee in peace.” Harry offers, avoiding her father's gaze so he doesn't have to show his reddening face.
“That would be lovely. Thank you. We'll wait for you both downstairs.”
Y/N's father walks away, as Y/N stays concealed in the bathroom. She lets out a breath she doesn't even know she's holding in. Her hands roam her sides, her fingertips wiping the light sheen of sweat away.
“He's gone.” Harry whispers, Y/N's head peeping out from behind the door. “You can come out now.”
She pads out of the bathroom, then into his arms, burying her face into his neck. “Oh my god.” She murmurs into him, her throat dry and voice nearly gone.
“It's okay, baby.” He soothes her. Harry lets out a heavy sigh, Y/N turning her head slightly. “We should get dressed and go meet them.”
She nods quietly, suddenly feeling smaller than she's ever felt before. Y/N bites on her bottom lip, but her hands teasingly grip the silky material of his robe, mischief glowing in her eyes.
“No, no, hey. None of that.” He tells her, pulling away gently to place a kiss on her lips. “We can finish later.”
Y/N groans. “What if I don't want to wait?” She questions, licking a stripe of saliva over his lips, catching him off guard.
“I'm sorry your orgasm was ruined but your father is waiting and we don't want to be suspicious.” He starts. “So go to your room, put on some clean clothes and wait for me there.” He says.
Y/N obeys, picking her clothes up off of the floor and stalking to her room. As soon as she walks through the door, the bathrobe drops to the floor leaving her naked once more. She puts on her bikini and covers herself with a sheer top and jean shorts before she walks out to the hallway to wait for her man.
Harry exits his room in shorts and a white dress shirt. Y/N stares at him in amusement because she knows he is going to hate her outfit of choice. “Jesus Christ, woman. Did you really have to wear, that?” Y/N chuckles as he sets his hand on her back leading her into the elevator. Once the doors close they are on each other. Harry lifts Y/N's ass in his hands pressing her into the side of the elevator. Their tongues battle with one another, tasting the lingering toothpaste on his tongue. Both of them groan as the bell chimes and the doors open. But luckily no one steps in. Once the doors have closed again, Y/N is attacking his neck, sucking marks onto his skin while she rubs her hands under his shirt. Her hands travel down from his chest and squeeze the outline of his throbbing cock. Harry pulls back panting heavily as the elevator opens up at the ground floor.
Once they find her parents, sitting across from each other at a table for four at the lovely outdoor patio. Y/N sits down next to her mother while Harry takes place in front of her.
“Good morning.” They both smile awkwardly.
“How did you two sleep?” Y/N's mother asks and Harry clears his throat, barely able to look her in the eye.
“Wonderful. The beds are comfy and the pillows were very nice too.” Y/N smiles looking up to catch Harry watching her with amused, and slightly shocked, eyes. “I love having all that space to myself, it's definitely better than my bed at home.” She shrugs, trying to play it off as though she didn't spend the night in Harry's bed.
The breakfast restaurant is a buffet-style one where you can make your own omelette of choice, bacon and sausages, toast, and a big bowl of fruit. Her father suggests going and getting their food first, seeing as how they are all hungry.
On their way to the buffet, Harry's hand slides over Y/N's, giving it a quick squeeze. He watches her lift the tray and get her ingredients for her omelette from the displayers, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, slightly envious at how well she managed to hide what had actually happened. He can feel his heartbeat in his ears and Y/N's pink flushes on his cheeks.
They both wait for their eggs while the chef grills and prepares them. Harry looks over his shoulder to see Y/N's parents all caught up in each other out on the patio, giving him the privacy he wants. “Last night was fun. You learned fast.”
Y/N hums and her lips curl. “Yeah?” She responds. Harry wonders if this will blossom into a new fascination for her. “You taught me well.” She adds in a lower tone as her eyes fall to the space between them.
“Of course.” His voice drops as well, mimicking her. He leans closer to whisper into her ear and the hairs on her neck rise. “You looked fucking gorgeous when you came all over my cock.” He sighs, causing Y/N to curve her back as a chill runs down her spine. Harry then smiles. “Loved the sounds you made too.”
Harry leans back and Y/N sees the cheesy grin on his face, the apples of her cheeks burning. “Har, people might hear us. You wouldn't want me to start moaning now, would you?”
He simply shrugs and Y/N raises an eyebrow at him. “I bet you decided to wear this shirt just to tease me.” He says pinching the sheer fabric on her shoulders. “Putting your perfect tits in view. What's gotten into you?”
Y/N smirks. She indeed chose this shirt on purpose, she wants him to look at her and the unfinished business of this morning causes her to want to torture him. “Nothing has gotten into me. You haven't.” She pauses, trying to read his expression.
Harry chuckles. “Still annoyed, are we?”
“Very.” She replies with a sigh.
The chef places two perfect omelettes on the counter in front of them, calling their attention. Before they can go back, Harry grabs Y/N's hand, forcing her to turn around and face him. “Well, as I said, tonight you're going to get yours.”
***
After breakfast, they all make their way to the hotel's beach bar where they end up chilling around until it's time for lunch, and after that, Y/N's parents are escorted towards their activities.
“I hope you don't mind but your mom and I booked the two of us a catamaran cruise for today, so you're stuck with Harry. I bet he'll retreat to his room or just make sure he downs enough vodka soda's and he'll be good for the afternoon.” Y/N's father tells her. “We'll see you at dinner tonight.”
“I'm right here.” Harry replies from behind them, a bitterness in his tone. His words are followed by a loud chuckle. “Yeah. Enjoy your cruise. Don't forget you're not twenty anymore, that booze will give you a hangover.” He warns him sarcastically.
“Oi! I can still drink and enjoy myself. We're going on a cruise, let me live.”
Harry shakes his head, listening to her father grumble under his breath as he walks away. His hands settle on Y/N's shoulders, suddenly having her full attention as he dips down closer to her ear. “All alone with me for an afternoon. Let's make the most of it.” His voice, laced with an obviously suggestive undertone, makes Y/N's breath catch in her throat.
Y/N turns around, both of them still at eye level. “My parents aren't even gone yet and you're already putting dirty ideas in my head.”
Harry scoffs and smiles. “Oh love, you're the one who wore a bikini that hugs your tits just right.”
“Wow, such a charmer you are, Styles.” She giggles, a huff of air reaching the tip of his nose. Harry grins, loving the sound of her laugh. He enjoys this playful and happy aura he's had her radiating since last night and has continued the morning. His arms snake around Y/N's middle.
“We have an entire afternoon to kill. What do you want to do?”
“Hmmm.” She looks around, the warmth from Harry's body shielding her against the wind. It's nice, she enjoys feeling protected like this. “I can think of a thing or two.” She mumbles, leaning against his body as her hand lays on the centre of his stomach.
“You have a filthy mind, darling.” Harry hums, Y/N snickering, knowing he wasn't serious about the criticism. His arms still rest on her middle. “Should we go to the room? Just spend the afternoon wrapped in the sheets?” He adds, his deep and soothing voice making her pulse quicken.
Her lips twitch as she fights a grin. Harry takes her by the hand, his gaze locked with hers and leads them towards the elevator, up to the 14th floor of the building. “Maybe we'll have to check out the balcony.” Harry wonders out loud.
“Are we that adventurous?” Y/N asks as the lift shoots up. Her body lurching.
“I hope we are.”
It's then Y/N finally looks up at Harry's face, finding a mischievous glint shining in his emerald eyes. There's that smile, crooked and amused and causing his dimples to protrude. The same one she finds breathtaking no matter the moment. That smile is almost always there when they're having an intimate moment.
The two of them reach the door of his room and Harry slides the keycard through, letting the door click open. The second he steps in he slams her back against the wall, capturing her in a searing kiss as the door closes, a gasp leaving her mouth as his tongue licks along her bottom lip.
“Take this off, darling. Need to see those pretty tits.” Harry purrs against her mouth, tugging on her shirt, pushing the fabric up over her head and letting it hit the floor.
“Someone's desperate.” Y/N teases, her lips kissing over Harry's jawline and his earlobe.
Harry doesn't answer and instead reaches for Y/N's bikini top, the fabric loosening as he unhooks the strap and slides the colourful material down her arms, discarding the garment. “So. Fucking. Perfect.” His voice low, his hips pinned against hers.
He allows her to peel the thin white t-shirt off him, letting her get a better view of his body. “Even prettier.” Y/N speaks, a cheeky grin forming on her face, mirroring the one that is plastered on Harry's face. Her hand slides down the centre of his body, brushing down his abdomen until she's grazing her palm over his already erect member, letting her index finger caress his length teasingly. She hears a moan spill from Harry's lips as he rolls his head back.
Harry watches with half-lidded eyes as Y/N lets the last shred of clothing that remains on her body fall. The short jeans shorts that clung to her form now leave her completely exposed and wanting more. She looks heavenly.
He's seen her naked before, but never so bare and unashamed. “Go to the balcony.” His tone, nearly deadpan, surprises her but still, she complies and walks outside, not quite grasping his reasoning, but trusting him nonetheless. They are on the 14th story of the building so there's not a single chance anyone from down below will be able to see them. Harry is close behind, doing the quick and easy job of kicking his trunks off before joining Y/N outside, her naked body almost begging for him. “Kneel.”
She complies again, her heart beginning to thump heavily in her chest. She looks up, biting on her bottom lip, as Harry steps in front of her. She drops down with her knees on the solid floor tiles, cold, hard and kind of painful but Harry's gaze is making it all worth it.
“You look gorgeous like this, angel.” He starts. “Let's put those pouty little lips to use.” Harry uses his index finger to trace her top and bottom lip gently. His other hand massaging his length. Y/N parts her lips just in time for him to place the head of his member between her lips. “Suck.” Harry mutters, his thumb pushing up her chin.
Harry feels her soft lips close around him. Her tongue teases his slit while one hand rests on the back of her head. Her mouth is warm and wet and Y/N perfectly bobs her head back and forth. She moans, sending vibrations coursing through him, his groans causing a clenching to start in the pit of her stomach. Harry looks down at the woman, her lidded gaze as her mouth works on him, taking him deeper into her mouth, gagging as he brushes the back of her throat. He keeps watching, his large hand carding through her locks in encouragement, groaning and gasping out her name. “Y/N...fuck.”
“Hmm.” She hums, feeling his shaft slide between her lips. Y/N pushes back the instinct of having to swallow down saliva and instead lets it flow down her lips. It's messy but also hot.
Harry grasps her face with two hands, one on each cheek. His big hands cover her entire face as he holds her in place. Her big puppy eyes look up at him as if to ask why he stopped her. But Harry just holds her in place. “Relax for me.” He pleads before he pushes his hips forward, the tip of his dick gently brushing on the back of her throat. “Fuck...shit, yes.” He mutters, feeling the clench of her throat on his swollen member. Y/N's eyes immediately water and tears begin to run down her cheeks from the discomfort and gagging, Harry watching it all intently. He groans, seeing a string of spit dangle from her bottom lip and hearing the gurgling sounds she makes. His length twitches with the noises and he is too far gone to stop now. He pulls back before he pushes back in, a little bit further this time. Y/N swallows reflexively each time he fucks her throat and groaning each time his tip hits the back of it, her throat so tight and warm, the friction and movement and sight are overwhelming.
“Ahh, fuck.” He curses as he finally pulls his big cock from between her lips and watches as a string of saliva stretches from his tip to her wet lips. Y/N keeps her tongue out, staring up at Harry through her wet eyelashes. A sight that is going to stick with him forever, it seems.
“Darling, you have no idea how hard it is not to make you choke on my cum.” He growls and she responds with a hum, the tip of his swollen member resting on her lips again. “Stand up and turn around, hands on the edge.” He commands, pointing at the balcony railing.
As Y/N moves to her feet, Harry catches the faint pattern of red marks from the ceramic tiles, blushing slightly at how rough he's been with her, hoping she doesn't mind.
Once again, she does exactly as told, stepping forward, pressing the palms of her hands on the cold aluminium and spreading her legs a little. Her ass is now facing Harry as she bends forwards, his cock hardening at the view. The milk glass balustrade, along with the height they're on provides the perfect privacy for the two.
Harry walks towards her, his big palm lands on her ass cheek, squeezing tightly. She lets out a sharp yelp at the contact of his big hand. The cool skin warms up quickly under the pressure of his hand and Y/N relishes on it. “Ready to get fucked out here?” He asks.
“Yes, fuck yes.” Y/N doesn't hesitate, her words dripping with need and anticipation. “Please.” She adds, wiggling her ass on his rock-hard member.
“Tell me you want me to ruin your pussy.” Harry orders as his hands knead into her flesh, pressing his hips against her so he rubs between her ass cheeks. Y/N whimpers, her mind fuzzy with lust.
“Yes, please ruin my pussy, need you so bad, I need you, Har-“ Her words are cut off by a sharp squeal leaving her lips when Harry unexpectedly pushes in and bottoms out inside of her, her nails digging into the railing.
Harry takes in the new sensation of being buried in Y/N's hole. “Oh God.” he growls as his thick length slips easily into her entrance, her warm and welcoming heat enveloping his cock completely. A string of curses follows suit, leaving his mouth as a growl. Harry rolls his hips, setting the pace for them. “Fuck, you're so good, Y/N, feels fucking amazing.”
His hips move back before snapping forward, eliciting a broken whimper from Y/N which soon becomes a moan as the coil in her gut grows tight. Y/N meets his movements, trying her best to keep silent, not wanting any neighbours who might be out on their balcony to hear them. Her head hangs between her shoulders, feeling Harry thrusting inside of her, every nerve in her body burning, his cock stretching her tight entrance wide open with ease.
“Fuck! H-Harry...harder.” Her cries are breathy and whimpering as his dick keeps hitting her spot every single time, over and over again. She's sure she will go crazy if he keeps on hitting there, but fuck does it feel so good. Her knees grow weak and shaky and her arms threaten to buckle from under her weight. Her body tenses under the sensations as they work through her. Harry listens to Y/N and pounds harder, his eyes drawn to the motion of their bodies colliding with every thrust.
His cock slips inside Y/N's tight cunt repeatedly, making the most sinful and filthy sound known to him, wet and slippery and obscene. “Want everyone to know that my cock belongs in your wet little pussy?” He grunts, giving her a sharp slap on the ass, another one quickly following. “Want to scream my name so everyone knows you're mine and mine only?”
“Fuck, you sound so good to me, fucking hell.” Her thighs tremble under her weight.
“Say my name, come on.” He says, moving closer, their skin connecting.
Harry is pounding inside of her, not giving Y/N a chance to process her thoughts. Her moans get stuck in her throat, a tightness growing in her pelvis, about to explode at any given moment. She can't even talk and Harry just takes everything away, ripping it all away with every snap of his hips and making her feel him deeper than any person has ever gotten.
His hand snakes around her perfect body, his fingers sliding down to circle her clit, still managing to move his hips at the same speed. “God, your little pussy is gripping me so fucking tight, baby.”
Her knees are threatening to fail her. Y/N knows her body is already covered in a thin layer of sweat, her forehead is shiny. As his fingers keep circling her sensitive bud and his big dick stretches her pussy wide open, she knows there is nothing she can do anymore. All her body wants is release, craving sweet relief from the pressure growing on her lower stomach, getting unbearable each time his member glides in and out, each time his fingers move fast.
“Shit! Yes! Mmmm, I'm gonna come. Don't stop.” She moans louder than she initially had planned to, a little higher-pitched than usual due to the pleasure she is receiving from his fingers playing with her bundle of nerves and his length sliding in and out of her core.
Harry's hand caresses the back of her thigh. “Come all over my cock, angel, yeah...just like that, darling.”
Y/N leans forward, supporting her upper body with her elbows, her head hanging low, her knuckles turning white as her grip on the rail is strong. Moans and heavy breathing slip from her mouth and the slick sound of him pounding inside of her can be heard from between her thighs. Her hair sticks to the back of her neck and she is a panting mess, on the brink of reaching her climax.
“Oh my god, I-I'm...!” Y/N manages to let out. She squirts all over his thick, pulsating cock, Harry moaning loudly at the feel, both his hands now back on her ass cheeks to hold her steady.
“There we go, good girl.” He soothes, slowing his thrusts to ride her high until she is finished and she finally relaxes.
“H-Holy shit.” Y/N lets out, her voice shaking as she is left boneless and her head spins from her orgasm. She couldn't quite process her thought, her ears ringing and a light buzz taking over her. Her pussy is throbbing, wanting more, needing his fullness, needing to clench around him.
“I knew you had it in you to do it.” Harry sounds proud looking down at his soaking wet thighs and small puddle at his feet. He pulls out slowly, smirking at the sound his cock makes as it leaves her fluttering core. Her wetness makes him groan and swear. His hard dick is covered by her juices and as he strokes himself he is amazed by the feel and warmth it leaves in his hand.
“Did I do good?” She asks, breathless. She had never squirted before and honestly, it makes her feel kind of embarrassed at the mess she's created. Her walls continue to clench on nothing, her skin is sweaty and pink, a flush spreading across her chest, nipples erect.
Harry can't help but laugh. “Baby, that was one of the hottest things I've ever experienced.” He leans to kiss her, his tongue exploring every inch of her mouth.
“Lay on the lounge chair.” Harry mumbles on her lips before taking them back. Y/N obeys again without a single complaint, her heart beats faster when she sits down on the leather lounger, his cock bouncing in front of her face once Harry has stepped closer.
He brings his index finger down to tease her soaking folds. “Wow, you're absolutely dripping,“ Harry mutters under his breath.
He motions her to lift her legs to put her ankles on his shoulders. When she does, he slowly pushes back inside of her entrance, relishing in the way she flinches in sensitivity from the stretch of his length, feeling her stretch around him to accommodate his size and length, burying his length deep within. Her entire body shivers as the pleasure sets in.
“I'm gonna fill your pretty pussy so full and warm.” Harry declares as his length begins thrusting. “Make you feel all my hot cum spilling down those beautiful, legs of yours. Make you carry my seed.”
His words have a hypnotizing effect on her as his hips push faster and rougher. Harry can't stop himself from spilling his dirty words into her ear, having noticed it was a major turn-on of hers and boy, were they doing the trick, her cunt is clamping down on his hard cock in a vice-like grip, so tight, and it is a wonder, to him, that he can even thrust into her at a respectable pace. But as much as it's pleasuring them, he was closer and closer to the edge.
“Come in my pussy, Harry.” Y/N breathes out, looking up to him with such loving eyes it has his balls tightening.
“Say may name one more time and I'll paint that pretty cunt white.”
“Make me all yours, Harry.” She moans and soon, his climax washes over him, hips bucking forward erratically. She whimpers, his hard and huge cock stuttering inside her cunt and filling her, coating her walls with his sticky fluid. Harry rides out his orgasm with his dick buried deep within her tight heat. Y/N hums, satisfied, their bare bodies melting together as one. She's never felt this love, not in a romantic sense, just, so taken care of.
“Fucking hell, Y/N. You're going to kill me.” He pants, pressing his sweaty forehead to hers. His heart is hammering in his chest. Y/N giggles and drops a tender kiss on his lips as she pulls him closer to him with her legs around his waist. Causing him to groan as his cock is being pushed even further inside. “Stop.” He says breathlessly, pulling back just slightly.
He kisses down her chest and sternum. Y/N mews as he reaches her boobs. He suckles a nipple into his mouth before drawing away once more, slowly pulling out, his softening length and Y/N's fluids drip onto the seat below. He loves to admire the picture of her, post-sex, chest heaving and cum-soaked. His work. His baby.
“Maybe we should take a shower.” He says with a gentle smile, one she can't stop herself from returning.
Harry picks her up and throws her over his shoulder, a loud squeal leaves her lips and her heartbeat goes crazy. Her laughter fills his ears. As Harry heads to his bathroom, Y/N enjoys the sight of his round, ass cheeks. ***
After spending the rest of the afternoon in bed, fucking a couple more times and watching a movie on his laptop, they are getting ready to go downstairs again and meet her parents. Y/N just received a text message saying they'd be at the restaurant in about thirty minutes.
“Shit, your bathrobe is still in my room from last night.” Y/N curses. She wanted to put it back on so she could sneak through the hallway without having to wear her clothes from this morning.
“Take the other one.” Harry says, gesturing to the fabric on the floor. “Go get dressed, before your parents are going to complain we're late.”
Y/N puts his other bathrobe over her body and wraps it tightly. Once the tie is secured around her waist, she leaves Harry's room, leaving the rest of her clothes behind. Finally, in her room she gets dressed in a fresh pair of lingerie and puts on a tight black dress, hugging her every curve in the most beautiful way. Her hair is wild, dry and free but the way it frames her face is enough to make any man crumble to the ground for her. She finds a nice pair of black, satin heels from her suitcase and puts them on before she picks up the two bathrobes from Harry's room to bring them back.
The elevator is packed with people on their way to the main floor. That doesn't keep the two of them to basically fuck each other with their eyes and Harry to keep his hands to himself. They effortlessly find her ass, grasping the soft flesh underneath the thin material of her dress.
The doors open and a sigh leaves Y/N's lips once she steps out. It's been way too crowded and her body had already begun heating up, the fact she's feeling sexy in her outfit choice isn't helping either.
Once they're out of the elevator, the physical distance between the two grows, not wanting her parents to see them together like that as they walk into the restaurant. Y/N lets her eyes scan the room, her stomach rumbling due to hunger. Harry clears his throat to get her attention, pointing at the table where her parents are already seated, watching them as they make their way over.
“Good, you finally showed up. I was afraid you got lost in the building.” Y/N's mother teases and pulls her daughter into a hug while Harry gives Y/N's father a firm handshake.
They quickly fall into conversation about all the adventures her parents went on today, enjoying some delicious meals and a few glasses of champagne.
Harry's fingers run up Y/N's outer thigh, bringing goosebumps to her bare skin and her heartbeat skips. A little smile lingers at the corners of her mouth and he knows he's gotten the effect on her he was hoping for. As Harry's palm teases the waistband of her dress, she quivers, heat flooding between her thighs and desire rises within.
“Anyways, enough about the catamaran cruise.” Y/N's mother begins. “What have you two been up to today?” Y/N nearly chokes on her food, panic rising in her.
“Yeah, what have you been doing?” Her father adds.
Y/N keeps quiet, wanting to avoid being a suspect in anything that happened between her and Harry and only keeps smiling at them.
“We've walked around the hotel grounds and then swam some laps before we ended the day in the spa.” Harry takes his napkin and wipes his mouth before he answers her question.
“Sounds relaxing.”
Y/N can't say she feels very relaxed. But knowing that the bed in her own hotel room will be unused this vacation does have her feeling pretty damn good about that.

“So, spill. How was it?” Delilah asked as she eyed Y/N.
“How was what?” Playing coy behind the counter, she did the initial cash wrap check as she avoided her best friend’s eyes. She knew exactly what she was talking about.
“Getting railed half to death.” She deadpanned, making Y/N choke on her laughter. “Don’t play games with me, girl. I can see your literal glow.” She paused, her eyes moving south. “And your man has a nasty habit of biting you.” He did. Y/N knew exactly where the hickey was on her collarbone, but her wrap she had on over her lacy tank top usually hid it. She was just careless this morning and didn’t think about it being on display.
“He is quite bad with that, isn’t he?” She snorted, turning to her friend with giddy light in her eyes. “Great. Better than I expected. Made me really comfortable and I spent the whole night and day.. Y’know.” Her face felt hot as she placed the cash into the register before starting up the POS and making sure everything would be right for when the day ended. “I was worried for nothing. The man is kinda unreal, if I’m being honest. I was taken care of in every way. I shouldn’t be surprised considering he’s been really good to me so far.” Brushing her hair over her shoulder, the drawer was closed and she took note of her green tea, picking it up for a sip now that it wouldn’t burn her tongue.
“It’s what you deserve.” Her friend smiled softly. “You deserve a great love like you read about in your books. Besides, I know you’re going to get it. It’s written in the stars.” She was joking, but also… not really. Delilah knew things without knowing how she knew them, and it was almost always true. “Where is he today? Are we expecting a drop in from him?”
“Actually, I don’t know.” Y/N hummed. He hadn’t replied after his initial good morning message but she wasn’t too worried about it. “He said something about stopping by the bakery. He had today off to go run errands so he’ll be dropping things off but I know I’m seeing him tomorrow. We’re going to that new pizza place.” She was excited about that. There was a flatbread she was looking forward to trying, and Harry had suggested getting two different things and splitting it. It was nice to feel comfortable eating with someone. That was one of the anxiety triggers she had to unlearn as she got older.
“I think we’re going to get a drop in.” Taking one of the baskets they used for restocks, she went towards the tumble table and began to deposit the little baggies of colorful stones and minerals into the correct cubbies. “Have you brought up that Claire woman yet?”
Y/N hadn’t, very well for a reason. She didn’t like the feeling it gave her stomach. Somehow, she was well aware she and Harry had been involved. Somehow, someway. It didn’t seem strong, as she obviously couldn’t be that close to him anymore if she’s unable to contact him but… It still wasn’t a good feeling. The woman wasn’t nice, her energy was rancid and muddy, and she obviously looked down on them for believing in their own thing. That was the exact person she tried to avoid. Y/N knew it was perhaps rude to judge solely off of one interaction, but something told her Harry wouldn’t be happy to hear about her coming in.
“Not yet.” She said sheepishly, spooning a bit of yogurt into her mouth. “I know, you don’t have to give me the eyebrow. I’m just… You know how it is. When you know it’s going to cause an issue.” Y/N didn’t think it would be with her but the idea of upsetting Harry at all wasn’t something she enjoyed. Being so new in the relationship, she wanted that honeymoon stage. It had been so lovely this far, she selfishly wanted to avoid the past and the real world from inserting themselves in her rose colored daydream with her dreamy new boyfriend.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t how life worked.
“Putting it off isn’t doing either of you any favors, Cher.” She gave her another look, hanging up a necklace back on the display. “I trust you to handle it on your own time, but do it soon. I have a feeling she isn’t done sniffing around yet.”
—--
“Hey.” A wide smile greeted her as she heard the chime of the bells on the door, seeing the man that had been on her mind. High waisted black pants with a flare at the bottom and a yellow tee shirt, he walked in with his boots clicking on the hardwood floor. Lifting his sunglasses off his face into his fluffy hair, he extended his arms to motion for her to walk into them. She did so without a question. How could she not?
Falling into his warm scent, she nuzzled her face into his neck and allowed herself to be engulfed in him. Something about them felt closer now. More intimate. Maybe she was making it up but a layer had been shed and he felt even more close to her soul. Lips pecked a few times into her hair, swaying her back and forth as her fingers curled into the hair at the nape of his neck, a relieved sigh leaving the man. “Y’alright, Sugar?”
“Mhm.” She nodded against him. “Tired. Spilled my coffee a quarter through but it’s been a bit busy today so we haven’t had the chance to get away. You win some, you lose some.” She’d rather be a little tired and making money, giving readings, all of that.
“Should have texted me.” His tongue clicked, finally getting a good look at her as she pulled out of his neck. Didn’t she realize he’d do almost anything for her? “Would have brought you some over, sweets. What good is having a boyfriend if you’re not gonna use me?” He was joking, but not really. He knew that he’d bend over backwards for the girl in his arms.
“In all honesty, I didn’t even think about it. I knew you were busy today running errands and we had a lot of walk in readings, I’ve been a little busy.” Her fingers ran through his hair again, liking how it felt between them. He always melted like a pup getting pets when she did it too, so it was a win win. “Did you get everything done that you needed?”
“I did.” He moved on swiftly. “Are you sayin’ you didn’t eat?” His brow raised, making her wince. Sometimes she forgot, but it wasn’t on purpose. It was genuine distraction. “Baby…”
“I had a yogurt and granola bar. I was planning on making some food when I got home, but I was busy. Promise.” She tried her luck at a pout which luckily seemed to break down the glare.
“Too bad.” He sighed. “M’gonna run and get you both food. I don’t like this, Sugar.” Large hands cupped her face, making her feel more delicate than she ever had been. Sometimes it felt hard to lean into that femininity of delicacy when she’d been treated as the opposite most of her life, but Harry had her falling into it so easily. “I know you’re a big girl and you can handle yourself, but it’s okay to ask me for help. I want to help you, I want to be a good boyfriend and grab your things when you’re busy. I know you’d do the same for me.” She already had. The girl had given him a whole welcome basket when he opened his own business, for fucks sake.
“I know. It’s…” Feeling slightly guilty now, she rested her hands on his wrists. “It’s a hard habit to break. I’ve been independent for years now and I don’t like to rely on people.” It was always thrown back in her face. “I’ll try harder, H. Promise.” Turning her head, she caught his palm with her lips and pressed kisses to it. That move melted him completely, leaning down to kiss her lips a few times before peeling himself away.
“Good girl. I’ll be back in a bit. Be good for me.”
Y/N hated to see him go, but she loved to watch him leave. Still buzzing from the affection, she jumped as Delilah came out of the back room fanning herself.
“That man is completely gone for you. Lord…” She shook her head. “What a guy. I’m glad he wants to take care of you, Cher. You deserve it.” Her hand squeezed her shoulder as she slipped past her.
“It has nothing to do with the fact he’s getting you lunch too?” She snickered, watching her friend shrug.
“That definitely helps.”
—--
Y/N’s good mood was squashed just 10 minutes later when a familiar face walked through the shop doors, nose wrinkling at the scent of the incense.
God, why now?
“Y/N, I’ve told you that these smoky scents are going to drive away customers.”
Yeah, that was the point. Drive away customers with impure intentions.
“Hi, Mother.” Y/N sighed, feeling her shoulders tighten as she watched the woman come closer into the shop. Her tumultuous relationship with her mother had a lot to do with the fact that Y/N reminded her of her own. They’d been extremely close, sharing their love of the spiritual world, of magic, all the things while her mom had rejected it. Y/N had been easier to bond with for her grandmother and she knew she held resentment over it for years.
She wasn’t an awful person, was the thing. She liked to support her at school, took her shopping for makeup, taught her how to do her hair and tie her shoes. She held her when she was sick, stuck up for her when she got bullied- but she didn’t realize she herself was her daughter’s first and biggest bully.
“Hello. It’s been weeks since you’ve visited me or your father.” She sent her a look. “Are you well? Do you need money? I know the shop is a bit of a hard venture to keep up…”
There it was. Her mother had always hated this shop. Hated what it stood for, what it represented. Y/N never faulted or judged someone for not believing or being connected in the things she was. It was a calling, she truly believed, whether natural or brought on by a life event. But her mother thought it to be a bit of a waste of time. Always expecting her downfall, though she didn’t think she was cruel enough to hope for it.
“No, we’re actually doing incredibly well.” It was the truth. They were making bigger profits than the years before and she was more than glad about that. They’d paid off the loan they took out and now they were working towards a possible expansion. But her mom didn’t want to hear about that. “I’m sorry I haven’t been around. I’ve been a bit busy.”
Her mom gave her a scrutinizing eye, unsure if she believed her. Y/N wasn’t usually a busy person, despite the shop. She liked a slower lifestyle and she knew that, which is why she understood the look on her face. “Have you gone back to the gym like I asked? I haven’t seen you there. I can go with you, you know. I think you’d love my trainer. He’s very dedicated.”
There it was again. Y/N felt her stomach drop, though she should have expected it. Her mother was obsessed with her weight. She’d been the one to try and get her on diets at an early age, effectively ruining her relationship with food. While she knew her mother was someone who cared about her, sometimes she cared about the wrong things a bit too much. Once Y/N had made peace with the fact that she’d always be a bigger girl, her mother had pushed back at it causing more of a rift. She wasn’t going along with her plans and fad diets anymore, and it felt like a personal insult.
“No, no. I’ve been busy with something else, actually.” With Harry. The pretty, driven, thoughtful man that had her tummy in knots and her head in the clouds.
“Well, what? I’ve sent you dozens of recipes. I doubt you’ve tried them though. It looks like you’ve put on a bit of weight in the last few weeks. I thought you were making progress.” Her frown made Y/N’s stomach hurt. She’d resigned herself into knowing she would probably never get her mother’s approval on her body, but the reminders didn’t do much to make her feel good. Accepting it didn’t mean liking it.
“I may have. I’ve been fine, though.” She sighed, running a hand through her hair. “I’ll come by for dinner next week, I promise. I just-”
The door chimed again, interrupting them both. Her stomach dropped as she saw Harry’s smiling face, something that usually would make her erupt into butterflies- but this wasn’t the introduction she wanted to make. Not quite yet.
“I’m back, sorry. There was a line.” He murmured, going behind the desk and pressing a kiss to her cheek. Her body flushed as she looked towards her mother, her eyes wide as Harry adjusted her hair for her before setting the food bag and coffee tray on the counter. “Sorry, I’ll step out of the way if you’re helping someone.”
“Who’s this?” Her mother’s interest was immediately evident.
“I’m Harry, Y/N’s boyfriend. Nice t’meet you. What’s your name?” He asked, placing a hand on his girlfriend’s back.
“H, this is my mother.” Y/N swallowed, looking between the two of them. She could see his eyes widen, reaching a hand out for her to shake. He was always so polite, so charming, but she couldn’t help but see the look on her mom’s face.
“You’re her boyfriend?” She asked, brows raised. Her voice sounded in disbelief, looking between the two of them as if something didn’t add up. “I didn’t know she even had a boyfriend.”
Thankfully she’d let him know she hadn’t exactly told her yet so he didn’t seem shocked about that, but the meeting was a little unorthodox.
His brows did furrow at her tone and she could tell he didn’t like it. But for her sake he kept a smile on his face, shaking the woman’s hand lightly. “Yes, I am. M’quite gone for her. You raised an incredible woman, Ma’am.” He spoke earnestly.
“Excuse my shock, I just didn’t realize….” She trailed off, still seeming confused. “Y/N does like her secrets, it seems. You’re very handsome. What do you do?” It was likeher mother to be nosy, sniffing out why exactly the man was around her daughter. Y/N could see that she was suspicious and it hurt her because she knew exactly why she was.
She was making sure he wasn’t using her for another reason. For money or something else, because it was hard for her to believe a man as attractive as him would be with her for pure attraction and chemistry.
“I actually own the bakery across the street.” He said easily. “Thank you for the compliment. She’s an incredible woman, so welcoming and kind. Beautiful to boot.” He meant every word, tapping the tip of her nose. “I don’t want to interrupt, though… I brought the girls lunch.”
“Oh, it’s not trouble. I was coming because my daughter forgets she has a phone.” She shot her a look. “Why don’t you come to dinner next week with her? You’re more than welcome. Her father would be more than happy to meet you.”
“If it’s alright with Y/N, I will.” He nodded, showing his loyalty immediately. Harry wouldn’t do anything that made his girl uncomfortable and he was dedicated to the cause. He was already unsure about the woman, but the next words solidified it for him.
“Alright, whatever you decide. Just make sure she doesn’t have too many sweets from your bakery, hm? It’s starting to show again.” She was joking as if it was funny, patting her daughter’s hand before stepping back. “I hope to see you next week, Harry. Call me, Y/N, we have much to discuss.”
Her mother was swift, walking out the door as quickly as she had come in. As soon as she was gone, the energy calmed and her shoulders fell, groaning low in her throat as she moved to hide her face in Harry’s chest again. He knew better than to talk, instead stroking over her hair as he let her recover from that interaction.
Internally though, his view on her mother was soured. How dare she make a comment to not only her daughter about that, but to him? A man she was dating and obviously really liked her? Did she not realize how awful it was to comment on something like that? Y/N had told him that her relationship with her mother had been a weird one but he hadn’t expected her to say something cruel like that. It didn’t even seem to register that she was being mean, she genuinely seemed to think it was funny.
“I’m sorry about that.” She sighed, pulling back from his chest. “She’s… she’s a lot. I promise she isn’t all bad, but she’s got quirks.” Her face pulled in a slight grimace, making him smile sadly at her as he caressed her warm cheek.
“That wasn’t nice to say, but I have a feeling it isn’t something you want t’unpack in the middle of a work day.” It wasn’t something he felt could be properly discussed out here anyways. “We can talk about it tomorrow, if you want…but I just have to say this one thing.” His head dipped to get closer to hers. “I don’t mind if you gain or lose weight. I don’t care about that at all so long as you’re healthy and comfortable. I’ll never restrict you from eating, never make you feel as though you’re too much. I know you struggle with it, but I’m never going to contribute to that. I’m here to support you.”
His words were genuine, eyes shining as he told her his truth. She could feel it radiating off of him and it made her want to tear up, but he didn’t give her a chance to reply to that before he smacked a kiss to her nose and pulled back to open the paper bag that had been stapled shut. “But now I want you to tell me if I did a good job choosing your meal, please. I did the caramel coffee with oat milk, iced. I remembered that bit.”
Y/N wasn’t sure where the hell Harry had come from, but she was thankful for whoever had sent him. It seemed like she needed him now more than ever.

I had a cute idea of the soccer family and it’s like wife reader and Miguel after a long long day and they finally put kids in bed clean the kitchen from dinner and their both ready for bed in their sleep clothes and they decided to watch a movie but the movie its a sad movie when a kid dies or get really sick and the wife reader gets really sensitive about that cause she imaginé the movie kid as her own kids and start crying and Miguel it’s trying to comfort her (I already ask for this in another page but I think you would get this better) I think it’s a cute idea, love your writing. 🫶🫶
Omg, I saw a movie that reminds me so much to this!!! . Not precisely physically injured but yeah. Hope you like! ❤️✨
(If you're into drama, Watch it ❤️)
Tumblr media
The quietness after another successful day in the O'Hara household meant another victory for daily activities. Benjamin was changed into his little blue and red onesie, and put to sleep. Gabriella was tucked in bed; You and Miguel were ready to enjoy a little time together before going to bed.
Miguel had been zapping through the channels, you cuddled him and he put an arm around your shoulders.
His eyes were settled on the tv, the scene of a blonde little girl looking at to what seemed to be her legal guardian, confused as to why there was a new lock in the door.
The movie title displayed on the bottom, 'What Maisie Knew'
"She's such a cutie" You mumbled as you watched the little actress making an appearance in school holding hands with a man as he walked her towards the classroom.
---
As the movie advanced you couldn't help but to cling to Miguel, he was as tense as you were. Seeing the characters fight over the custody of their only daughter and making her to choose gave your heart a doleful flip.
Eyes couldn't help but gloss at a certain scene, the little girl being awaken in the middle of the night just cause her emotionally neglecting mother thought it was a good idea.
Resentment, pain yet understanding were one of the primary things the movie had stirred within your pot of emotions but soon sadness joined.
How could a mother do such thing to her only child? Still was beyond you. You had tried to be empathic with the character, but still, was something your mind couldn't quite grasp.
Her neglect and abandonment was deliberated. Sussan didn't fight for her unless she saw Maisie being happy with others.
Fat tears rolled down your cheeks and Miguel frowned
"¿Estás bien?" (Are you ok?)
His hands pushed you closer to him on his chest as your head shook. He turned the TV off.
"How can she do that? Resent her own child to be happy. Like, she is a child! It's not Maisie's fault she's been an unstable woman."
Miguel gave a deep exhale and rested his head ontop of yours.
"You know that not many parents are meant to be."
"It only makes it worse to know that she is aware of everything that is going on. I just... ugh, I could... I could never do something like that. Marrying someone out of spite, dragging your kid into a grown up fight, and make her choose!"
You hiccuped and he wiped away your tears.
"It's just a movie, mi amor."
"I know. Still... It's so damn awful knowing that parents like these exist. I couldn't help but imagine Gabi like that. And God... I swear I'd fight with teeth and claws for her."
Miguel chuckled, a bit sadly. The sudden image of him and you fighting over Gabriella and Benjamin surely didn't sit right on his chest.
"You know we are far from perfect, right? Marriage wise."
You nodded and clung to him once more.
"But know this. We'd never get to that, ok?"
"Promise?"
"Te lo prometo. You're stuck with me forever, cariño." (I promise)
His lips kissed your forehead.
"Besides, think it as a win for Maisie. She gets to have loving parents that truly look after her wellbeing and those cabrones will think twice before having a kid again."
"At least they know they're shitty parents."
"Cierto. But don't think too much about it." (True that)
He cradled you in his arms and caressed your hair.
"That movie is banned from this household"
Miguel chuckled and nodded.
"Need a glass of water or tissues?"
"Hold me?"
"Of course."

Heyyy I’ve love your Cole walker stories so far! I was wondering if I could request one where readers parent/parents are really mean to her so she calls Cole one night to come save her and he takes her back to the farm house and Cole’s parents love the reader so it’s no problem she stays and Cole just comforts reader and it’s all fluffy <3
broken pieces — cole walter
Tumblr media
pairing: cole walter x fem!reader
warnings: use of y/n and she/her pronouns, verbally abusive parents, one petname used (sweetheart)
a/n: do i dare rewatch mlwtwb..
masterlist !
꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱
cole walter's phone rings somewhere in his bedroom. why he didn't answer it? he was riding custard, mostly to get anger out since he still couldn't play football.
y/n l/n was the one to call the blonde, in order to get out of her house. her parents haven't stopped arguing since she got home after school. of course, they had to bring her into it. her father kept asking why she didn't help around the house, and her mother kept criticising her for her grades and looks. this was normal for y/n at this point.
however tonight, the poor girl had enough. so she called cole walter, who she was now cursing at for not picking up his phone. she tried calling danny next, hoping her theater nerd of a friend would answer.
"hello?"
y/n has never been more grateful to hear danny's voice. "hey- uh hey danny, is cole home?" she tried her best trying to hide to incoming tears and scratch in her throat.
of course, danny picked up on her frazzled state.
"yeah, he's outside what's up?"
"can you get him? please?" she felt so desperate asking for him, but she knew cole was aware of her situation with her parents. therefore he was able to comfort her more than the other walter siblings.
danny didn't even hesitate while slipping on his shoes by the front door to jog over to his twin. he gave cole his phone and the two spoke for a few moments.
in less than five minutes, cole put custard away, changed clothes, and started driving to y/n's house. the girl was thankful the walter's lived close.
as cole was getting y/n away from her parents, danny explained what was happening to his own parents. they both were sympathetic towards y/n, and both only wanted to help. by the time y/n and cole pulled up into the dirt road towards the ranch, the whole walter family was in the kitchen. katherine was trying to explain to the lot what y/n was going through.
cole started unbuckling his seatbelt, while y/n only stared at the dashboard.
"are you okay?" cole asks. "you don't have to go in there if it'll be too much for you. we could uh- go get something to eat? or just drive."
y/n shakes her head, "no," she wipes her nose for the millionth time from crying. "i'll be okay."
the two make their way inside the house, and being met with all the members of the walter family in the kitchen caught y/n quite off guard.
"boys, parker, upstairs now," katherine ordered.
cole was about to follow y/n into the kitchen, but katherine gave him one look and he was heading upstairs after his siblings.
as soon as katherine held y/n in her arms, the girl broke down. she cried more now than she did at her own home. she can't remember the last time she had been given a hug.
after maybe two minutes, the two broke apart and y/n was handed a cup of hot chocolate by george. she thanked him quietly before explaining to both of them what had been going on at home.
to say katherine and george were surpised would be the understatement of the year. they knew y/n didn't enjoy her own house, mainly because she was always over at the walter's with danny or cole. but they never knew it got this bad.
y/n asked if she could be excused. her voice was so quiet she was afraid katherine or george wouldn't hear.
luckily enough they did hear the quiet girl, and she was quick to knock on cole and danny's door. cole opened the door, already knowing who would be waiting on the other side. no words were shared between the pair as y/n stepped forward to hug cole. without a doubt he hugged back, rubbing a comforting hand up and down her back.
that night cole and danny both helped calm y/n down.
cole told her about her day, every single part of it. when he ate four pancakes for breakfast, when he almost yelled at mr. porter because he still hasn't graded his math test, up to when he was riding on custard no less than an hour ago.
danny told her about the new movies he started watching this week, along with how his play rehearsals were going.
sometime later parker came in with a surprise for y/n. she held out a small purple stuffed bunny. y/n remembered the bunny, and smiled when parker handed it to her.
at the last town's fair, y/n had won parker the stuffed animal during a ring toss competition with alex. y/n knew parker's favorite color was purple, so of course she gave the walter girl the prize. and here she is, handing it back to her.
that night danny gave y/n his bed to sleep in. it wasn't unusual for him to sleep on the couch downstairs. and he figured sleeping in a cramped bed with cole was the last thing she wanted.
cole was laying back in his bed, throwing a football up into the air and catching it with ease. he was explaining a certain football move he was always using sophomore year. telling her really anything to get her mind of her horrible parents.
however he stops in the middle of his sentence when he looks towards danny's bed, and sees y/n fast asleep against the pillow. he only chuckles as he grabs the blanket and drapes it over her sleeping body.
cole then leans down carefully, and softly presses a kiss to y/n's forehead.
he whispered so quietly he wasn't even sure he said the phrase, "goodnight sweetheart."

I Love You
felix catton
-In which the reader and Felix are unaware of the twos shared love for each other
UNEDITED (sorry if mistakes)
——————————————————
You tap your cigarette against the rim of the now empty wine glass in front of you, staring into the darkened backyard of the saltburn estate. You had come here every year for god knows how long to spend your summer break. Now, being in your last few years of college, knew that the yearly summer ritual would be nearing its end for you.
You were sure the catton family were all aware of this as well. Though every one of them cherished your presence over the years. God, you were sure Elspeth would take you in as her own if she could, probably hoping you could provide her own children with some stability.. You loved them all, obviously. It was just clear to all of you that your relationship with them would never be how it once was, and that you would soon part ways to live your own life, leaving them stuck in a life they can’t escape. They didn’t have that privilege like you.
Plus, you had already started to feel like you fell off with them the second the summer had started. There was an odd amount of awkward tension, and you mostly spent your days with Venetia. Very unlike the few past years that you and Felix spent hip to hip. Which sucks, because those were your favorite summers. Sneaking in Felix’s room late at night to hangout, swimming in the lake, lying out in the yard after a long day to watch the sunset. Whatever it was, Felix was always there with you.
He was there when you would cry over your annual new fling from your hometown who made you upset, when you argued with your parents and had no where to go, or no one to talk to. And you loved him. So much.
But who didn’t? Who wasn’t completely enamored with the idea of Felix Catton. Everyone was, and he knew that. So telling him you loved him would have no more importance to him then when another random fling says it to him.
“Dinner is ready downstairs, ms y/l/n.” You are immediately snapped out of your haze when Duncan speaks from the doorway behind you. You gulp and slightly smile, nodding. “Thank you, Duncan. I’ll be right down.” You sigh and push yourself out of the chair, throwing the cigarette in the nearest ashtray.
You sway down the annoyingly long stairs, your ringed fingers gripping the ledge. Your long, deep red satin dress nearly making you trip. You catch Felix’s eye the second you turn the corner and make your way towards the dining room, unaware of his eyes on you. You were effortlessly breathtaking. Your long, silky hair running over your tanned arms, dress perfectly falling over your body, hands and neck lined with gold jewelry, complementing you perfectly.
He was completely devoted to you. The thought of this possibly being your last summer with him completely clouded his thoughts since the summer started. He had waited all these years to tell you how he felt , and now his chance was gone. He continued to watch as you neared the table, pulling out the seat directly across from him. He watched as you greeted one of his mother’s friends who had come for dinner next to you.
Still unaware of his stare, you toyed at the cloth in front of you, waiting for food to be served.
____________________________________________
“So, y/n. I heard from Venetia this might be one of your last few years here, if not last.” Elspeth says as she sips on her wine, snapping you into reality. “We were heartbroken to hear this, but it’s understandable. How long have you come here for summer? I mean it’s had to have been atleast 12 years now, right ?” She laughs.
You nod, “yeah, I figured it’s about time to get out of your guys hair, y’know? Move on and do my own things in life.” You give a small smile and awkwardly swish around your glass. This gets Felix’s attention as he stares up at you without saying anything. “and what would that be?” He speaks out lowly. You furrow your eyebrows as you shift your attention towards him, making eye contact until he looks back down at his plate.
“I’m sorry?” You snapped. Felix makes a face and shrugs. “Just a question. What do you expect your life to be like if you just go on and leave?” He snickers. Elspeth is quick to scold him as you laugh quietly, shaking your head and bring your attention to your plate. You start to zone out as Elspeth changes the subject, but not before taking a quick glance at Felix’s already staring eyes, sending him a dirty look.
You head to your bedroom balcony the second you’re dismissed from dinner, slamming the door behind you. Your eyes well up as you recall Felix’s backhanded comments at dinner. You quickly light a cigarette as you stare blankly into the trees ahead. You didn’t understand him, what had you done to make him so distant. Was it something you had said? Or possibly something someone else had said to him about you? Or maybe he had just grown plain sick of you.
Your face stays blank, but tears continue pouring out of your dull eyes. You wipe them away quickly, embarrassed of how upset he made you feel. You stiffen as you hear the doors behind you open, quickly blinking before whoever it was could see your glistening eyes. Felix stays silent, staring at the back of your head as you hold your knees tight to your chest. After minutes of silence, he moves to sit in the chair next to you.
You watch out of the corner of your eye as he stares at your face, waiting for you to look at him. You won’t, you keep your attention on those trees because you know if you even glance at him you will start crying . He sighs and taps on the ledge in front of him.
“Are you really not gonna come back?” He says so low, it’s practically a whisper. “does it matter?” You shoot back. His head whips your way as he furrows his eyebrows, not speaking until you make eye contact. “what’s that supposed to mean?” He tilts his head.
You don’t answer, just staring at him as the pink sky reflects onto his face. You wish at this moment you could just pull him to you as you cry into his arms, just for one more time. Your eyes well up again, warm tears threatening to pour out. Felix’s heart wrenches as he watches your lips curve down into a frown. You take a shaky breath as you look away. “I’m sorry, y/n. You know I didn’t mean that, there’s just a lot going on right now and when you were talking about moving on it’s just-“ he begins to choke on his words and his voice quivers, “I just wasn’t ready for things to be different, y’know?” He lets out a small laugh as a tear runs down his cheek.
You giggle as yours begin to fall aswell, physically trying to keep a choked sob from coming out. You reach out to wipe his tear away, taking a deep breath. “I just think it’s time for me to move on.” You shrug and focus back towards the tree line. You didn’t want to stop coming, but you didn’t see yourself even having your parents in your future and if you were still coming to saltburn that wouldn’t be possible.
“I know, and I know you. You’re gonna do great things with your life. I hope you know I didn’t mean that at dinner at all.” He says genuinely as he takes your hand in his, squeezing it slightly. “I know, fi.” You whisper as you move towards him, laying your head on his shoulder. You hold him tighter as you hear his small sobs begin to escape. “please” he whispers against your shoulder.
“please what, fi?” You move your head back to look at him. His eyes are now red and puffy, his eyelashes sticking together with tears. He sniffles and pushes his head back into your shoulder. “please dont go.” He sobs. You sigh and smooth his hair, blinking and holding your head up to stop the tears. “I have to” you choke out.
He stands up and wipes his eyes. “You don’t. You can stay here, you don’t have to see your parents. You can just continue your life here.” He moves his hands around as he rambles on, but you just shake your head. “I can’t, Felix. I need to move on by myself and I can’t do that here. I can’t be around them anymore.”
He stares at you silently as you stare into the yard. “I love you” he whispers. You stiffen, the words playing over in your head. “what?” You turn your head towards him. His face remains blank as his tears roll down your face. “felix what?” . He sighs and turns for the door behind him, stepping through back into your room.
His tears continue to flow out as he walks away in defeat, you running after him. He stops infront of your door when you yell his name and turns his body towards you. He forces a smile and shakes his head slightly. “it’s okay y/n. Goodnight.” He says and turns back towards the door. “Felix I love you.” He freezes and removes his hands from the door, turning back towards you. His cheeks stained with tears and his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
“I love you Felix. So much.” You cry as you stand hopelessly infront of him, waiting for him to speak. “I don’t know what to do anymore, fi.” You whisper as you rub your eyes with the back of your hands. You hear as he moves towards you and remove your hands from your eyes, looking up at his eyes as he stands directly infront of you, tears still falling out of his eyes.
“Neither do I.” He sighs. You reach your hand up to wrap around the back of his neck, pulling it down to press your lips against his. He kisses you deeply and pulls you tight against him. After a minute pulls away and presses his forehead against yours “I’m so in love with you.” He whispers.
“What are we gonna do?”

on sakura in reborn au
i was considering team 7 dynamics and going into it, minato & kakashi both assume the issues will be a sasuke-naruto thing. they annoy each other, and naruto considers sasuke a romantic rival and will actively pick fights with him, and sasuke is ready and willing to escalate those fights. minato & kakashi knows naruto likes sakura and sakura likes sasuke (because naruto won't shut up about it), but i don't think they've considered sakura's role in the dynamic beyond "idk, maybe she'll act weird around him"
i think a lot of sakura's canon annoyances with naruto were organic (as in, she just found him annoying, regardless of any social cues about how he was Bad News she was additionally picking up). aside from that one awful comment she made to sasuke, the only times we see sakura being "mean" to naruto are after he's been obnoxious to/around her. she tells him off for trying to prank kakashi because she's a teacher's pet, but she ALSO privately thinks this is funny. we also see multiple instances in part 1 of her actively trying to protect him. in the manga, she tackles naruto out of the way to save him from zabuza. she is ready and willing to tank her own promotion to chunin and sasuke's in order to protect naruto's dream of being hokage (she's told they can't retake the chunin exams if they fail the written test, but they CAN retake if they drop out, and even though she's confident she will pass, she starts to raise her hand to drop out so NARUTO will get a second shot). she gets beat up in the forest of death trying to protect naruto (and sasuke) and then afterwards attempts to protect naruto emotionally by telling him she cut her hair because she "felt like a change" and not explaining what happened (i don't think not telling him is a good call, but i do think she did it because she wanted to protect him). i think her awful comment about naruto not having parents was maybe something she felt was socially normal/acceptable to say because everyone did hate naruto, which was why she thoughtlessly blabbed it to sasuke. she'd maybe even heard other people saying similar things and thought this was just how she's supposed to think about him. but i don't think she ever truly hated him; she just found him kind of annoying
the point of all this is that i don't think sakura dislikes naruto the way some people write her to. but she doesn't like him hitting on her, and she doesn't like when he does crude stuff around her.
so, given that, now imagine a situation where there's not random society-wide shunning of naruto. he's still loud and obnoxious, so i think sakura would find him grating even if she secretly thinks some of his pranks are funny. she doesn't even consider returning his crush. that is not on the table for her. she still likes sasuke. she still breaks up with ino because i maintain that that was an act of sakura trying to make herself an independent agent from ino and not ino's sidekick. but. but. she has fewer overall problems with naruto. naruto is the class clown but he's not a pariah; he's the hokage's kid and he has social clout
so maybe. consider this. sakura does not return naruto's crush, but his attention is now sort of fun and exciting. she's twelve, after all-- this is new to her, and she's feeling out what she likes and she's not necessarily mature or emotionally aware enough to not be a huge brat. it's fun when naruto brings her flowers and she gets to turn him down in front of other people. it's fun that everyone knows the hokage's son is in love with her, and that she doesn't have to love him back to keep this attention on her.
it is extremely fun when naruto sees her sighing over sasuke and then goes to fight him and then sasuke escalates.
kakashi gets his team and is told there might be some typical twelve year old crush drama, but sakura's personality is predicted to balance out naruto and sasuke's tendency towards fist fights.
and then kakashi watches her intentionally goad them into a fight and then fucking preen and he's like. oh. oh no.

Daddy Lessons
dad! Reiner x Reader
summary: “With his right hand on his rifle, he swore it on the Bible, Oh my daddy said shoot!” // Some of Reiner's life lessons for your children. Specifically for your daughter.
cw: established relationships & family dynamics, mentions of guns, fluff (?), light angst, Reiner is just a good dad, guys!
a/n: Inspired by that Beyoncé song! Duh! Also, on ao3.
wc: ~2k
Tumblr media
For the most part, Reiner is the quintessential gentle giant and an overprotective dad. There is no way in hell his children would ever get hurt, physically or emotionally, regardless of whatever gender identity your child chooses.
But when he found out that you two were expecting a daughter, he felt a wave of both excitement and anxiety. As your little family grew, Reiner dove straight into fatherhood without hesitation. He would introduce your daughter to his interests: blackjacks and classic vinyls while also allowing her to find strength in femininity. Learning how to respect her rules at the tea parties Reiner was so graciously invited to. Making sure that she listened to the smartest women he knew (you) amongst other things. He aimed to raise a strong, confident, and compassionate young woman. Granted, this got your daughter into some sticky situations at school regarding fighting bullies, but the only things that Reiner would ask when he picked her up from detention were:
“Did they deserve it?” And if she nodded yes, the most important follow-up question would be, “Did you win?”
You didn’t condone violence in any form, but you’d be lying if there wasn’t a swelling in your chest when she said that she won.
Reiner was acutely aware that he could never fully understand the trials and tribulations of being a woman. Babysitting Gabi and her gaggle of friends showed him that. However, he did try his best to warn your daughter about horrible men (something that his many years of playing recreational hockey made abundantly clear) and things to be cautious about. Reiner often looked down upon locker room talk and cringed at how some of his old teammates carried it so casually in their everyday colloquialisms- with Floch being the worst of it.
Sure, he knew your daughter would grow up and start dating one day. He understood that he couldn’t vet every single person she’d dated. Reiner sure as hell knew that you two were more than capable of teaching her how to protect her heart while also keeping an open mind. But he felt obligated to teach your kids how to court a person properly. He instilled some lessons: flowers, gifts for the parents, staying a little longer at invited parties to help clean.
So when your daughter brought home a new boyfriend, Reiner tried to accept that his little girl wasn’t his little girl anymore. By now, she was mature enough to approach Reiner and you for any advice. However, Reiner couldn’t shake this feeling that her new boyfriend was nothing more than a grade-a-loser—something he would always bring up to you as soon as your daughter's boyfriend left the house. Reiner tried to like him the first few months, but his interaction with people never sat right in his spirit.
Quite frankly, you agreed that your daughter’s boyfriend is slightly off-putting and over-compensating with bravado. It did nothing more than hide the stench of insecurity he secreted. But the way your daughter’s eyes lit up whenever she had the opportunity to talk about her boyfriend (albeit praising the bare minimum he did occasionally) made it challenging to deter her.
However, in the quiet moments, you attempted personal discussions with your daughter about ‘keeping her options open’ and ‘not settling too quickly.’ Hoping to prevent countless similar dating disasters before you were blessed with Reiner’s love. But when her cheeks started reddening with annoyance, and the conversations started to veer towards debates, you and Reiner decided to drop the topic altogether, much to your dismay.
When ‘the boyfriend’ took space in your well-loved home, Reiner would go so far as to start openly talking about how he owns several rifles, although being a ranch owner and hunter gave that away. It also had a sign that said, “God Lives Here,” courtesy of Karina and begrudgingly endorsed by your mom, predominantly hung on the gallery wall amongst the family portraits. This was a subtle but all too loud declaration to any potential visitors.
Of course, he’d be courteous- never outright told your daughter’s boyfriend that he’s a jackass. But he kept a mental note of every slight, all noticed and usually brought up by you. The first red flag was that the young man didn’t even greet you two at the door, not even a halfway smile! Just a bee-line to your daughters' bedroom up the stairs and to the right.
The second was that, after two years of dating, he never gave either of you two a Christmas card. What was more irritating was that your daughter never missed an opportunity to provide the Forster’s individualized presents, no matter the occasion.
The third and less obvious one was how he spoke about other girls when you or your daughter weren’t around. Reiner didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but the way that scrub spoke about women- and to his son, no doubt!- made Reiner consider installing an electric invisible fence where his stupid pickup truck usually parked.
“Love, please just drop it. Maybe he’s just tired,” you’d whisper in the kitchen while fervently rubbing his arm.
“Fine. But if he stays here another night—Forster’s kid is paying for the water bill. How many showers can he take and still smell!” Reiner let out an exasperated sigh before addressing your son. “Listen to me, if you wanna impress whoever’s parents you’re dating, don’t be like your sister’s boyfriend. That kid is a dunce.”
You shoot Reiner a cautionary glare while urging your son to continue his homework and keep in mind what Reiner said.
“Look, love, I think we’ve taught our children well enough that if anything happens, they’re capable of handling things. They will come to us when they need it.” You say and soothingly brush away some of his hair.
Reiner eases his stance a little, uncrossing his arms and wraps one around your waist. He kisses your temple and gives you a small smile. The crow's feet from the luxury of living a life getting deeper as he looks down at you. The sounds of farewells break apart the moment between you two.
He peers through the archway before turning back to you. “I’m going to talk to her once he leaves,” he says.
“Don’t overdo it!”
Reiner gives you another quick kiss, his five o’clock shadow rubbing against your cheek; before he leaves the room, Reiner pours a small glass of whisky and a cup of tea to bring to the front porch.
“Good luck, Dad,” your son says, giving Reiner a thumbs-up. Reiner returns the gesture and gives him a wink. Reiner maneuvered through the front room before taking a seat on the front porch. A creaky door and a clink of the mesh screen announced his arrival- causing your daughter and her boyfriend to jolt and look up at Reiner’s imposing frame.
He nods in acknowledgement before trying to look casual and not eavesdrop on the heated but whispered conversation in the driveway. The cicadas begin their choir singing as Reiner makes himself comfortable placing his drinks on the wooden coffee table. Your daughter’s usual smile is replaced with an apathetic expression as she waves her boyfriend goodbye, choosing to make her way up the stairs instead of electing to see him off until his headlights disappear into obscurity.
“Have a good night, kid,” Reiner waves and sips his drink.
“You too, Reiner. I’ll tell Dad you said hi.”
What absolute nerve this young man has not even to call Reiner ‘Mr. Braun!’ That is the bare minimum!
“Floch is almost always welcome here. You two, come stop by now!” Reiner bites his tongue and tries to remain composed.
Over his dead body, would Reiner let that helmet-headed freak Floch visit his ranch, but he had to pretend for your sake. Even if you also agree that Floch was definitely the reason his son is the way that he is. As her boyfriend pulls out of the gravelled driveway, your daughter plops a seat next to Reiner on the sun-bleached fabric couch. Reiner gives another halfway wave before letting his smile fall when the truck is no longer in sight.
“Congratulations on getting into your dream school sweetheart.” He takes a sip from his whiskey-infused tea.
“Thanks, Daddy.” Your daughter smiles but keeps her head down, tucking her feet into the couch cushions to shield her from the cool summer breeze. “I’m really excited,” she hums, conveying no other particular emotion. Reiner takes this as an opportunity to say his peace and clutches the ceramic mug tighter.
“You know, you’re a smart kid- You should think about YOUR future.”
She sighs heavily, “Dad-”
Reiner raises a hand to finish his thought: “I know, I know. But let me say what I need to say. I want you to be smart, independent, and—” He grabs your daughter’s hand, giving it a firm squeeze: “Baby girl, that boy is playing you.”
“Daddy!” Your daughter groans and rolls her eyes, knowing this conversation all too well. She sinks further into the couch. “Please!”
“I don’t plan on dying any time soon—but remember what I said about fighting?” he asks, never letting his gaze break away from the delicate dance of the sun and moon across the horizon.
“It’s my Second Amendment,” she mutters, picking at the dry skin on her thumb.
“Exactly.” Reiner let her hand go, pouring more whiskey into his tea, “You are a tough girl. That’s why this is the last time I will ever bring this up. I promise.”
“Okay.”
The cicadas are screaming a little louder. Reiner and your daughter enjoy the sunset on the front porch. His gaze follows the creamsicle-coloured sunset, which disappears behind the rolling fields. Your voice cuts the silence, urging Reiner and your daughter to enter. “Love, your potatoes are done! Come inside so we can finish plating dinner!”
Reiner slowly gets up from his wicker chair, his calloused hands opening the creaking door. “Come on—I also made your favourite.”
Your daughter doesn’t move, instead looking out to where the sun once was. “Come on, baby girl. You know how your brother gets.” Reiner softly urges.
“Daddy, he cheated on me. I-” she choked on her words, “I don’t know what to do.”
Reiner softly closes the door. From the corner of his eyes, he can finally see the steady stream of tears cascading from her eyes.
“Reiner! Hurry, please!”
“One-second love!” He calls out to you, “I’m sorry, baby girl.” Reiner thumbs your daughter's tears away before roughing up her hair.
Almost as if you sensed a shift in the air, you urge your son to help with dinner instead- much to his dismay. After two minutes of whining, the sound of an oven door closing and plates replace your son’s protests. Your daughter's sniffles fill the air, and the aroma of dinner mingles with it. “It’s fine.”
“It’s not.” Reiner glances halfway before patting his pant pocket down in search of something. The depths of his muddy denim work pants rattling.
“Daddy what are you doing?”
“Good. I have my keys.”
“For what?”
Reiner throws his keys to your daughter. “You have your license?”
“Yeah? I drive to school everyday?”
“Not that one.”
As if she finally understood what Reiner was saying, her lips curled into a little smile.“You don’t have to go out and fight.”
“It’s my Second Amendment.”
Reiner nods before turning back to the door. As he’s about to enter the house she runs up to him giving a tight hug. He pulls her into a warm embrace and waves her goodbye. Your daughter rushes to the red pickup truck with anticipation. Reiner feels a swelling in his chest that only his little family could ever elicit.
He grabs the now-empty cups and heads inside the house, kicking off his outdoor shoes at the entrance and changing into his slippers. When Reiner enters the kitchen, he rinses and places the cups in the sink to be washed later. Sounds of the truck engine starting and a slamming door snap you away from the conversation with your son.
“Is she not going to eat dinner?”
“She has an errand to run—just to check something out.” He pulls out his chair and gives your son a little pinch on the cheek. “Let’s say grace."

First Impression
Pairing: Yelena Belova X Fem! Reader.
Summary: Yelena takes you to meet her family for the first time.
Word count: 1.8K
Warnings: none
Type: Fluff
Translation: Dorogoy (Darling), Detka (Baby),
AC: This is a request from my old blog!
Tumblr media
“Baby?” Yelena’s soft Russian filled voice spoke as you were cuddled against her watching TV. “Yes love?” you replied sitting up slightly to face her. “My family want to meet you” she said, bring a smile to your face. “Really?” you were slightly shocked. Yelena had already met your family and would often come to your family events, and they loved her. Yelena spoke little of her family when you guys first met, there was many things she took her time opening up to you about. Red Room was one thing but her family, that was another. She was very protective of her family and would always speak highly of the good times they share before she was taken away with her sister, Natasha.
“Of course,” she smiled, “only if you want too, I do not want to make you feel uncomfortable” she added.
“I’d love to meet them” you reassured her. “Well then, how about tomorrow?” she asked. You nodded, “sounds perfect” you leaned in and kissed her softly. “They will love you, I promise!” she smiled against your lips.
Being with Yelena wasn’t easy at first, she was never this affectionate towards you. It took a lot of time and care to show Yelena you were no threat in any way and now here you are, basically sharing an apartment with her.
The first time you met Yelena was when she came into your place of work, she looked confused, nervous, and kept her eyes on everybody who was around her. You watched her from behind the counter as she looked at the racks of clothing, she was captivating like no other. “Can I help you with anything?” you asked her with a welcoming smile. Her eyes were quick to focus on you, reading you facial expression, “I don’t think so” she replied after a few moments. A week later, she came back to the store and brought a jacket that she had being eying off in her first visit.
“Are you ready baby?” Yelena asked as you touched up your make up in the bathroom. “I’ll be out in just a moment love; you can start up the car if you’d like” you said as you fixed your lipstick. You were nervous, Yelena had told you that Natasha was an Avenger, you knew who Natasha Romanoff was because of the stories that were told on the news but you weren’t aware that she was Yelena’s older sister. From what Yelena told you about her parents, they seemed protective and smart, although you didn’t agree with the things they did to Yelena and Natasha it wasn’t your place to be mad. Yelena had forgiven them, even Natasha for leaving.
“You look beautiful” Yelena smiled at you as you got into the passenger seat of her car. She always managed to make you blush, no matter how many times she complimented you. “Thank you” you reached over and kissed her cheek as she interlocked her fingers with your left hand. She always loved to hold your hand whenever you’d go on road trips, you found it sweet that she found comfort in your touch.
An hour into the trip your nerves were high, and your thoughts were playing scenarios about how today could go. “What are you worried about my love? My family will love you” Yelena broke your thoughts, “Uh? I’m good, I’m sure they’ll like me…I hope” you squeezed her hand. “They’ll love you, I promise. Besides, they should be the ones who are nervous” she said with a chuckled at the end of her sentence. “Yeah right, assassins who are nervous to meet me, a check out chick at a clothing store” you replied sarcastically. “Hey, you are not just a check out chick, you are my check out chick” Yelena smiled as she raised your hand and kissed the top of it softly. You smiled while watching her focus on the road before she made a left turn into the driveway of her parent’s home.
You took a deep breathe before Yelena slowly let go of your hand and unbuckled her seat belt. “Are you ready dorogoy?” Yelena looked over to you, you nodded with a smile before you both got out of her car. Yelena took your hand as you both walked up to the front door, you squeezed her hand tightly as she knocked on the door. “Relax detka” she whispered before kissing your temple. You heard footsteps behind the door before you saw it start to open.
“Yelena, about time” A dark brunette woman spoke with a thick Russian accent, embracing Yelena. “Mom, this is Y/n” Yelena spoked as they parted, “Y/n, this is my mom, Melina” she added. You left go of Yelena’s hand and reached out to Melina who looked you up and down. “It’s lovely to meet you” you smiled at her, she gave you a very smile but noticeable smile back, “Please come in” she spoke, leaving your hand hanging. Yelena stepped into the house as you followed her action right after. Melina closed the door behind you. Yelena turned back to her, “Your father is at the diner table” Melina hinted to the dining room. “Is Natasha here?” Yelena asked.
“She will be here shortly” Melina responded, walking past the two of you. “Alexei, Yelena and Y/n are here” you heard her announce. Yelena took your hand once more before leading you to the dining room.
“There you are!” Alexei raised from his chair, hugging Yelena tightly. “Dad, this is Y/n, Y/n this is Alexei” Yelena introduced you, once again you raised your hand to shake his. To your surprise, he took it. “It’s nice to finally meet you” he smiled, “likewise”.
“Please, take a seat!” he insisted. You took the seat next to Yelena, placing your hand bag at your feet. “Drink?” Alexei offered, Yelena nodded, “just one, I have to drive” she told him before his eyes looked over to you for an answer, “uhm, sure, thank you” you said nervously. Alexei poured the three of you a shot of Vodka as Melina came in and out of the kitchen placing food in the middle of the table. “Thank you” you said once more as Alexei handed you the shot glass.
“I’m here! I’m sorry I’m late!” A voice called from the front door. Alexei, Yelena and you downed your shots before the woman’s voice made and entrance into the dining room. “Natasha, you are late” Melina walked back into the room, placing a plate of small bread rolls before taking her seat at the opposite end of the table to Alexei. “I did tell you I would be slightly late” Natasha spoke before her attention turned to Alexei, she hugged him before she hugged Yelena. “Natasha, this is Y/n, Y/n this is Natasha” Yelena introduced you to her older sister.
“About time I met the woman who’s made my sister all soft” Natasha smiled, shaking your hand. “Hey! I have not gone soft” Yelena objected causing you to chuckle. “It’s lovely to finally meet you, Natasha” you spoke as you all finally took your seats again.
“So, Y/n, what do you do?” Melina asked sternly as you all started to help yourselves to the food in front of you. “I work at a retail store, it’s actually where I met Yelena” you explained. “Oh so you sold her that vest then?” Natasha asked, you shook your head with a smile. “Leave my vest alone!” Yelena argued. Natasha laughed at Yelena’s response.
After lunch, which was filled with questions thrown at you, Melina slowly growing to like you, Alexei already loved you and Natasha, she was still sitting on the fence about you. Melina showed you some childhood photos of Yelena and Natasha as you answered more questions she had. She wanted to know all there was about the woman dating her youngest daughter, some questions you didn’t know how to answer. “Mom, leave her alone with the 100 questions per minute” Yelena groaned as she watched you flick through the photo album. “What? I just want to know her intentions” Melina spoke.
“Yes, what are your intentions with my sister, Y/n?” Natasha’s voice was stern, serious and scared you. You swallowed the lump in your throat as you closed the photo album and looked up at Natasha. “Don’t do that Natasha” Yelena spoke, seeing the nervous washing over you. “No, I want to know, it’s been how long since you guys started dating and we’re just meeting her now?” Natasha argued. “That is my fault, I knew you’d be like this!” Yelena snapped. “Girls! No fighting, let the woman talk” Melina butted in. Alexei sat watching the scene before him before he looked to you, all eyes were now on you.
“My intentions…uhm, well I’ve been seeing Yelena for 7 months, but I knew her for 3 beforehand. I think she’s wonderful, she’s caring, loving, and strong. I admire that the most about her…. She always speaks about how much she loves you guys. My intentions with Yelena is to show her how much she means to me, how worthy she is and I want her to know how she makes me feel whenever she’s around. I don’t’ want to hurt her and if I ever did, I can promise you that I would hate myself every second of the day for it” you explained.
Yelena looked at you as she stood next to Natasha. Natasha was silent as she studied your words until she was satisfied that you meant every word. “They are young and in love” Alexei broke the silence, you smiled softly at the comment. “If you ever hurt my sister, it won’t just be us 3 who you’ll have to answer too” Natasha finally spoke, “Natasha, enough. She is no threat” Melina backed you up, giving you her first genuine smile of the day. “I understand” you looked back to Natasha, “good” she nodded.
The rest of the evening was easier. Things went more smoothly and you were having more normal conversations with Yelena’s family. “We better head off, it is getting late” Yelena announced, you looked at her and nodded. “Yeah, I best get back to the compound” Natasha added. You got up and grabbed your hand bag as Melina and Alexei waited to walk Natasha, Yelena and you out. “Will you be coming to dinner next week?” Melina asked you, with a smile and nod, “of course I will”, she smiled back before giving you a hug.
“It was lovely to finally meet you, I apologise for Natasha’s behaviour but I’m sure you understand her meaning” she added. “It’s fine, no stress at all” you replied.
The drive home was a relief, you loved meeting Yelena’s family but you were nervous for most of the time. “I don’t you that they would love you” Yelena smiled. “I hope I left a good first impression” you said. “Baby, my mother asked if you wanted to come back to dinner next week, I think you’re good!” fell chuckled, “well, I wouldn’t say she asked, more like demanded” you laughed. “Thank you for letting me meet your family baby” you added, Yelena kissed your hand like she did on the drive to her parents, “you are important to me, I want to show you off detka” she said.

And I'm petrified of being alone, now |
Part Twenty-Three
Matty Healy x reader
Summary: She’s just trying to get by, really. What with being a single parent to her four year old son whilst simultaneously trying to kick start a successful career as a radio presenter. She’s got everything she’s ever wanted though, friends close by, a mum who’s merely a phone call away, and of course her baby boy. What else is there to wish for? But then, it’s not long before her relatively normal life gets upended and turned on its head, and she’s suddenly forced to deal with situations she’s never even thought to imagine.
What happens when one mention of a certain controversial singer on her show sends a flood of unexpected challenges her way?
Authors Note: Another update this week?? I'm as shocked as anyone else, but hopefully this one will make up a little for the last! It's longer and a little less, um, idk, I can't say emotional?? because that would be a lie:/ Still, there are some developments! Also, it'll make sense a lot later but the 2nd image and the use of a Ride song are used in this one!
Hope you enjoy! Also thank you for all the love on this current series, it means a whole lot and keeps me writing xx
Warnings: similar to that of the last post! so pls look back there if you'd like to know!:)
> Last update: look back here if you'd like!

“I said no.”
Stressed was a feeling beyond words at this point. The past couple of days all I’d had was press hounding at me, calling and texting, emailing at all hours of the fucking day. They wouldn’t let up, even after I’d stayed silent. Adi reckoned it was mostly down to Teddy’s involvement in the whole thing. I didn’t want to think much more about it, although I knew she wasn’t wrong.
“Give me a reason at least?"
I shot a scathing glare over my shoulder before turning back to the filing system I’d taken to reorganising. It was my first morning back at the studio since... yeah, well Finn had Teddy- another factor to my current load of stress- whilst Adi was off doing something or other. I hadn’t asked, fearful of putting more of a strain on her current friendship- relationship??- with Ross, so instead I’d just chosen to tidy and rearrange the entire setup we had going on here. Because that was perfectly normal. And not a fucking way to evade talking or thinking about the mess that was my life. Okay?
“I don’t need a fucking reason, I just don’t want to.” I retorted, hissing slightly when I suddenly cut my thumb on the edge of a document. I withdrew my hand quickly and raised it towards my mouth, letting my eyes slip close for a moment when I heard a footfall step closer.
“Let me see.” Jamie sighed, probably thinking I’d done something worse to my hand than just a papercut. To be fair, the cabinet was old. One of them filing types from the ninety’s that we’d gotten for a score down at some boot sale, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of us did eventually end up losing an arm.
I shook my head and pushed the cabinet drawer closed, “It’s fine, just a papercut.”
Jamie huffed an amused chuckle before settling down on the edge of the desk nearby. It was Adi’s, you could tell from the sheer amount of shit she had accumulating it.
“One thing after another with you.”
My head tilted towards him with a deadened expression, “Ha ha.”
The older man raised his hands up in a mocking surrender, showing he hadn’t meant any real harm. “Too soon?”
I kicked at the toe of the leather boots he wore in retort as I moved towards the kitchenette, aware that he was just trying to lighten my horrendous mood but not really in the right mind for it.
“You want a brew?” I asked, not bothering to give him an honest reply to that question of his. Too soon? Yes, that was all too fucking true.
“Have a coffee if there’s one going.”
I dipped my head in a slight nod, filling the kettle and setting it to boil before snagging the coffee often reserved for guests on the show from a shelf nearby.
Jamie moved to better face me on Adi’s desk as I did so, wearing that same expression he’d turned up in, all concerned and weary. It bothered me a bit, seeing as though it was all I had garnered since the press had had their field day with my life, but I could also understand why. They all just seemed to feel for the idiot stupid enough to fall into another of Matty Healy’s traps.
“Stop.”
“Stop what?” He wondered around a light chortle at my demand, hands falling to rest between his thighs.
I gestured towards his face whilst I poured a splash of milk into my mug, “Looking at me like that, like I’m gonna break or something.”
With a sigh, he pressed his lips together. “You know it’s not like that.” I rolled my eyes in return but he just bounded on, “You know it’s not, I just care is all.”
I forced out a breathless chuckle, “That why you’re here trying to get me to hear him out then?”
To be fair to him, Jamie had come right out with it when he’d first popped by, having messaged me asking after my whereabouts earlier this morning. I’d told him, having spoken to him quite a bit over the last couple days, and then found him on the doorstep.
Jamie had been good with everything. He’d let me vent, rally against one of his friends and clients, question his own motives- and hadn’t even complained one bit. But now he was here asking me to give Matty a chance, a lot like he’d done that first time around in that small cafe all those months ago.
“I know you’re angry, you have every right to be.”
“Of course I’m fucking angry!” I immediately shot back at him, the rattle of the teaspoon ringing out as I dropped it into a mug, “I wouldn’t care if it had just been me he’d gone and fucked over! But he brought Teddy into this shit, Jamie. My son! So tell me, how am I supposed to hear him out after he’s done something like that and then lied about it? For weeks, mind you.”
Jamie looked back at me, wearing that ‘this meant business’ mug of his. I slumped at the sight, pressing my knee against one of the lower cabinets to continue stirring the drinks. I didn’t care, I didn’t care, I didn’t care.
“There’s a lot you don’t know, Mouse.”
My eyes slipped closed at his words and I took a second to just breathe. Because I wasn’t angry, not really. I was hurt and humiliated, and just so fucking sad. Fed up with it all, if I was being honest. Enough so that I knew that Jamie was being truthful here- and not just because it was a fact that I hadn’t spoken to Matty since things had fallen apart, but also because I hadn’t had the heart to ask Teddy about things yet. Or if ever.
The kid was four. Four, and asking after a man every night before he fell asleep and then as soon as he opened his eyes the next morning.
He knew something was up, he was smart like that. But what was I meant to do- to say? When I was just as confused as he was.
I’d ended up leaving him with Finn today, having had no other choice in the situation because the nursery was closed for an inset day, or some shite like that, and it seemed I had no other friends than the few around me.
Could quite literally count the lot of them on one hand.
But still, Finn and I’s relationship had still been rather rocky after that whole incident with him and Matty, and hadn’t improved since. In fact, he’d been a little unbearable about everything, always one to toot his own horn whenever he was right about something. But it was always slyly and I couldn’t help but feel as though it was a constant dig, like even when he wasn’t commenting on it he was still thinking it whenever he looked at me.
Which felt so horrible to think, let alone say out loud. He was my best friend. So I’d kept my mouth shut and just dealt with it, like I did everything else in life.
“He’s messed up about it.” Jamie then spoke, his voice having startled me a tad, breaking me out of my musings. He was watching me again, only when he did it, it didn’t feel as condescending as everyone else's. Like he understood my position. And I guessed that he probably sort of did.
“I bet.” I scoffed quietly, an airy titter escaping through my nose, and then I turned to toss my teabag away.
“It’s true.” Jamie shrugged, then nodded in thanks when I pushed a coffee his way. “He’s been ‘round Ross’s ever since shit hit the fan, hasn’t left the flat. Driving the lot of us mad, but he’s torn up, Mouse.”
Tongue in cheek, I wrapped my hands around my cup and propped my hip up against the counter, staring into the still swirling liquid. “Serves him right, I guess.” I replied with a soft shrug of my own, though we both knew I didn’t quite mean it.
Jamie looked over towards one of the windows to the right, most of them were either way too long or too tiny for the space, an odd build, but this particular one gave way to the skyline lying over the remainder of the city. I often wondered what the lower levels might look out at, thinking it was probably the majority of the surrounding buildings, and couldn’t help but feel a little thankful that we’d managed to snag this unit.
When he glanced back over at me, I took a sip and let him speak.
“A lot went on, that much I know, and it’s your choice how you deal with it. But, I saw the two of you. I saw him change. Which is stupid to say, I know, but it doesn’t stop it from being true. He was different with you, he actually tried in other aspects of his life and not just with the band and the music. He looked genuinely happy.” He smiled softly at the eye roll I gave, but it didn’t appear to deter him. “Don’t get me wrong, I know you didn’t fucking cure him. Don’t work like that, does it? But you helped. You and Teddy both.”
I looked away then, back towards the window, unable to really help it, and instead allowed my eyes to trail over the clouds which powdered the dusty blue sky.
“It was different. Things were different, and I know that there was love there. There couldn’t not have been. The way he looked at you…” Jamie shook his head ever so slightly as he breathed out, unaware of just how deeply his words had cut. But then he peered over at me and I found myself already looking back, air caught somewhere in the swell of my lungs.
“Don’t.” I choked out, the grip on my mug having tightened tenfold. “Just,” I shook my head.
Jamie put his coffee down on the desk and moved to stand, hands raised to convey he wasn't a threat. “I’m not saying this to hurt you more, love. Just telling you how I saw it.”
I licked at my lower lip, casting my eyes downwards. Our silence stretched and all could be heard was the odd car horn and chirp from beyond the walls of the studio, until-
“Anyone here?”
I blinked back the tears which had started to well in my eyes and sniffed, head shooting up just in time to spot a familiar giant ducking their head under the beam of the doorway, limbs following right after.
George entered but then stopped short when he spotted his manager stood by me, and I laughed to myself at the way the pair of them seemed to eye one another, before stepping in, “Didn’t hear you ring the buzzer.”
Kind eyes darted over to find my soft smile then, welcoming him in, and so George finally moved in closer, laying the jacket he wore to rest over one of the armchairs.
“Yeah, someone was just leaving and let me in.” He answered my unasked question, shrugging as he added, “Dunno whether they recognised me or if they just let anyone up.”
“Probably the second,” Jamie piped up, seemingly having broken himself from his previous bout of surprise, “This lot ‘round here don’t give much of a shit about crap like that.”
I rolled my eyes, but was glad to have a reason to smile slightly. “Or they spotted the BFG making his way over and wanted to avoid pissing him off.”
Jamie cackled whilst George just shot me a narrow-eyed look, “Hilarious. That pot just boiled?” He asked me as he wandered over. I nodded in turn and moved to grab him a cup, only faltering when he lowered my hand with his own and shook his head. “I got it.”
I dipped my head slightly, blinking before taking a step back to let him work. He made a quick go of it, rummaging around the cupboards briefly to find what he needed and only asking for the spoon I still held for some odd reason when he was near done.
Jamie appeared to have been watching him too, a calculating glaze to his eyes, and he chose that next moment to speak up, “How you been anyway, George? Not seen much of you lately.”
Something unspoken passed between them when George glanced over at him, but I couldn’t tell what.
“Good, busy.” Was what the taller decided on, throwing Jamie a quick smile when he crossed to toss his own teabag in the bin before settling on the counter to the left of me. “You?”
It almost sounded sarcastic, not how he said it but simply because he’d asked it at all, knowing everything that had recently occurred. It must have been a right nightmare for Jamie these last few days, what with him being the band’s main man.
Jamie just laughed though, goodnaturedly, though it was apparent that he was still trying to suss out what was going on, what with George’s sudden appearance. Seeing as I’d never once mentioned him to Jamie.
See, things with George had all started after that studio session Teddy had attended, followed by my wishing him a happy birthday just before Matty had gone and done what he did best. Wrecked it all.
Teddy had become all too smitten with the drummer since he’d first been introduced to the band and their many songs and music videos. He enjoyed the guitar he’d been gifted an awful lot, often playing with it and practising, but each time any sort of song played on the tele or the radio, or even in the car, it wasn’t hard to note the way Teddy instantly mimicked George’s swift movements, pretending to drum along to whatever beat heard.
George had messaged me on Instagram later that same day, seeing as how apparently Teddy’s appearance at the studio had stuck with him, and asked after him a little. It seemed strange worded like that, but George reckoned that Teds had a real streak of a musicality about him, even as young as he was, and wanted to see if Teddy would be up for learning some more.
Which had been a Godsend, honestly, what with how the next couple of days had gone down. I’d given him my number via dm just before the storm had started and then the afternoon that had followed the plethora of articles he’d called.
He’d asked how I was at first, almost consoling me in that easy way of his, so full of little words, which had been all too refreshing in truth.
I’d had texts and calls off of practically everyone I knew, even Ronan, the utter prick. And none had managed to soothe me quite like George’s had, seeing as the man had been there too. Not quite in my position, sure, but near enough. He’d even let a little of it slip when he’d popped on over that same day, bringing a bag of takeaway and a roll up drum mat as a gift for Teddy, who had been cooped up with me on the sofa for most of the afternoon.
The two of them had bonded over it rather quickly, Teddy having been caught off guard by George’s sincerity almost as much as I had been. But then I'd found myself getting to know the drummer too and very much appreciating the unnecessary gesture he’d made for me, even with the pair of us not knowing one another as well as we could have.
I had no idea what was going on between him and Matty, I hadn’t had the balls to ask, but he’d mentioned he hadn’t heard much of anything from him since the night of his party, as well as the fact that his girlfriend, Charli, had been just as annoyed with everything that had gone down.
I knew he’d be stopping by at some point today, we’d made plans to get lunch once he’d heard I was back at the studio on my own, but not recording. I reckoned he was concerned and this was his way of showing it, but it was hard to tell with him most of the time seeing as he’d made it out as though I was doing him a favour here. An effort I came to find I much appreciated.
“Work, you know how it is.” Jamie replied after a long pause. He was still standing in the same position he’d been in since George arrived, but seemed to move then, picking up what was left of his coffee and pouring what remained down the sink. “But I’d best be going, got a couple calls to make. You gonna be at the studio tomorrow?”
George hummed around his next sip, pulling away with only a dip of his chin. “Should be.”
Jamie smiled, nodding, “Good, I’ll let the rest of them know then.”
I caught George’s slight wince at that, though he didn’t protest his manager's comment. It made me wonder.
Jamie turned to me then, shucking on his jacket. I perked up, not having realised that he really was rushing to leave now. “Remember what I said, alright?”
I blinked, but then nodded. How could I forget? I wanted to ask, but instead said, “You don’t have to head out so quick.”
He sent me a reassuring grin as he flipped over the collar of his coat. “You won’t miss me much,” He then teased before roping me into a hug, “Weren’t lying when I said I had a couple calls though, so it’s best I get out of your hair whilst I still can.”
I smiled softly at the sound of his lighthearted chuckle and nodded before following him over to the door, “Stay safe.”
Jamie rolled his eyes, all too used to my typical parting now, though amused by it all the same. “Can’t promise anything.” He retorted with a smirk, shuffling over the threshold whilst his eyes flickered back to where George still stood once more. “So, about before?”
I inhaled shakily, though Jamie didn’t seem to notice, fingering the pockets of his jacket in search of his mobile. “I’ll think about it.” I told him.
He flashed me a grin at that, pleased, then let his heel trail over to meet the top step of the metal grating. “Talk to you later then.”
I nodded and watched for a second as he descended the staircase, head bobbing down the first set before he turned and disappeared from view. Sliding back inside, I shut the door quietly behind me, taking a second to steel my nerves before facing the room again.
During that time, George had seemingly gone and made himself comfy on the settee, his mug settled on a coffee table coaster. I moved to join him after putting both mine and Jamie’s cups under the tap to rinse before just leaving them to soak.
George was fiddling with something when I sat down beside him but shuffled over a tad to allow me to get more comfortable, “So what was that about?” I questioned.
“With Jamie?” He asked and I nodded, even though I reckoned he already knew what I was on about.
He shrugged slightly and I noted the way his finger trailed over a slip of folded paper, it was creased as though it had been played or fiddled with a dozen times too many. My brow seemed to furrow at the sight of it.
“He tried phoning a few times but I’ve not been too keen on answering, learnt that I’ll just get dragged into the drama if I do.” George finally answered, and for some reason I felt a wad of guilt pool in my stomach upon hearing it, even though I hadn’t been the one to cause this mess.
Or maybe I was just kidding myself.
“Sorry.”
George huffed as he turned to peer over at me, elbows resting on the tops of his knees. “Nothing to be sorry for.” He told me and then gifted me a sweet smile, “None of this is on you. Just thought we were in the clear, you know?” He looked away at that and his smile dimmed into something smaller, almost sadder. “Figured I wouldn’t have to go dodging my mates calls anymore, or be roped into cleaning up everyone else’s messes.”
He reached a hand out to settle on my knee then, probably having noticed the way I was chewing on the insides of my cheek, or maybe the fact that my lip was now trembling. I’d never felt so shitty. So at fault for something I hadn’t really seen coming, nor could I prevent.
“Not your fault, remember?” He reiterated to me, squeezing my joint softly before pulling away. I sniffed before looking up at him with a tiny smile.
“Promise I don’t usually cry this much. Just been a shitty week is all.” I told him, laughing pitifully as I toyed with the hem of the jumper I’d put on earlier that morning when I’d purposefully avoided the hoodie that had been left on my desk chair, as well as the cupboard full of clothes that didn’t belong to me.
I felt the settee dip slightly before I found him sitting right beside me, lifting an arm to wrap me up in a hug. His cheek came to rest on the side of my head and I felt my heart break that little bit more, because it reminded me that in a second, or two, I wouldn’t have that sense of protection he now offered, shielding me from the rest of the world.
“You’ve been put through the wringer.” George murmured and I had to laugh just a little bit, he laughed too, the sound of it reverberating through his chest to where my head rested. “Fucking cry if you want to, alright? No judgement here."
I spluttered a little on my next chuckle, smiling as I wiped at my eyes. George’s arm just tightened its hold by a fraction, as though he knew it would make things that little bit easier. We both sat there like that for a while, and I appreciated the fact that he was okay with a bit of quiet. That he didn’t run scared from it or try to start up an awkward conversation simply to fill it.
Silence was something I’d come to realise that George often favoured. Because sometimes that was all you really needed.
I don’t know how long we continued like that before he shuffled and pulled that same piece of paper from earlier back into view, holding the corner of it between his forefinger and thumb. I pulled away slightly, looking down at it and then back up at him with a small frown.
“What?”
George merely blinked, staring down at the paper with an odd look before he finally placed it in the hand I had resting on my thigh. My frown only deepened.
“What is it?” I asked him, finger trailing over an edge just as he had done when I’d first spotted it. When I went to unfold it from the opposing corner, he stopped me.
Confused, I turned to raise a brow at him, only to find him already looking back at me. He bit into his lower lip and then flattened his mouth into a stern line, “I found that when I was last in the studio.”
My chest tightened for some reason, but I was still so baffled. “Okay?”
We were sitting up better now, George’s arm having slipped from my shoulders to come to rest in his lap, fingers trailing over his left hand’s rigid set of knuckles.
“I figured you should see it.” He added in his usual drawl, though his eyes flickered up from the paper to catch mine then and I realised it must've been important. He seemed wary enough to warrant it.
I went to unfold it once again, but then his hand really reached out to stop my own, “I don’t know if I should be here when you do.”
That alone made me even more curious, although there was an edge of caution that now warred at me. “Why?”
George gifted me a gentle smile, the hand that still laid over top of my own squeezing kindly. “I’ll go grab us some food, alright? If you want to open it then do, if not. I won’t mention it again.”
He moved to stand then but my hand shot out to grab at the sleeve of his arm, “George.” But I didn’t know what else to say, I knew I was fearful though.
His fingers moved to meet mine, resting there for a short moment, “It’s your choice. Just, I couldn’t keep it from you.”
I swallowed thickly as he pushed to his feet, the scuff off his heavy boots bouncing off the hardwood floors. Slowly he moved to grab his jacket, giving me time to say no, to deny his offer. But I couldn’t, I couldn’t do much of anything really.
The door shut behind him with a soft click a minute later and the quiet of the studio suddenly consumed me. When I glanced back down at the paper I held once more I saw the slight tremble of my hands. I forced myself to exhale, but even that was shaky.
I was careful as I unfolded it, listening to the rustle it made before scrawled lines that had bled through to the other side caught my attention. Pausing, I took a moment to just look at them and then thoughtlessly hurried to reveal the rest of it, taking in its full form. My throat tightened at the sight of familiar scribbles.
You had me from the start  Pulling all the stops out  On the down low, secretly  But I think you knew your psychology  Was working on me  Infatuated  And doing this all wrong  You've got  My number and my name  And you've got me going  Yeah, you've got me going  Can I see you every day?  Do you love me  Like I love you?  Ah, you've got me going  Yeah, you've got me going
(Song: Ride - Future Love)
It was as if something in me had shifted and then turned, sparking itself its very own flame on a bone too sharp and growing and growing until its singed edges burnt and blackened every part of me.
I must've sat there staring down at it for ages. Crying silently and alone in an empty room, something I’d been avoiding doing since this had all started. Though I supposed it had been inevitable.
His words. His thoughts. Bared to me on a single page. Him none the wiser to any of it. Probably having not even realised it was gone, or missing. And George had read it. He’d seen it and still, after everything, had given them to me.
A tear dropped from my chin then, blotting the page and I could only watch on as the dark ink appeared to cling to it, seeping further and further into the paper. Smudging the ‘Do you love me’ enough so that my breath stuttered and I was suddenly moving all too quickly for my mind to catch up with my thoughtless actions.
Not even a second later my phone was in my hand.
Messages now To: Jamie O (glasses!) When can he meet me?
Matty had always had a thing for Sundays.
There was just something about them. Not all that Godly shite that people preached about it being holy and the first day of the week, ‘cause to him Monday would always hold that title- and Monday’s fucking sucked dick.
No, it was because there was just something peaceful that settled on Sundays, it took him back to simpler times, of days when he’d just been a kid and roast dinners were spent ‘round his nana’s house. Or when Newcastle would play on afternoons and his dad would finally be home to watch with him.
There was just something about them, you know. He didn’t much believe in luck, typically only the bad sort. But if someone held a gun to his head and told him he had to claim a day which would forever work in his favour, it would just have to be Sunday.
Still, he was unsure on where he currently stood with that sentiment as of late. Seeing as how he was currently in the backseat of a cab, jittery hands clinging onto shaking knees whilst rows of houses, broken up by hues of green and blue, rolled on past him.
It hadn’t been a last minute thing, but it felt much like it. The anticipation was getting to him, he knew that much, sweat licking at the back of his neck whilst his shoulders worked their way up to the lobes of his ears.
Jamie had somehow managed it.
Called him up late last night just before Ross had headed off to bed to tell him that she would finally see him. Jamie’d asked if he’d be alright going alone or if they’d prefer a buffer there, but Matty had immediately declined. So he was doing it alone. Though he couldn’t help but wonder if that had been a misstep on his part, if it would have made things easier on her having someone there, or maybe just given him some semblance of relief as the car slowly drove its way over to her house. The very place he hadn’t stepped foot in since the night of George’s birthday party.
But he hadn’t earnt that reassurance. Felt wrong to bring somebody else along either way. So he was stuck, toying with his phone, hoping or praying that a text wouldn’t come through saying that she’d gone and changed her mind.
It had been just under a week since he’d last seen her. But it felt as though time had dragged out slowly, mocking him or maybe even torturing him for all of his many wrongdoings.
He fretted over what she might say when she caught sight of him, he himself having only spotted the state he’d worked himself into when he’d been getting ready that morning.
There were heavy bags set beneath his eyes from where he hadn’t really slept and his cheeks were hollowed in that way that they used to revert to when he’d have a particularly hard weekend way back when. If the papers caught wind of him he already knew what the first articles would say, what they would so obviously claim. But he knew the truth, just hoped that she would know it too.
He was startled from his mind at the jerk of the car pulling up onto the nearest curb. His eyes widened in sudden alarm when he realised just what that meant and then caught the look of dismay that crossed the driver’s face when the bloke looked back to announce that they’d arrived. If the man didn’t already think he was on something, then now he definitely did.
Matty swallowed stupidly and then tried for a smile, struggling to undo his seatbelt with the kickstart of shaking that overtook his hands. The driver took pity on him though, turning away to fiddle with something up front that probably didn’t need fiddling with, and finally Matty’s thumb managed to catch the button.
Releasing himself from the confines of the car, he paused just before the door could slam close behind him, handing the man a couple notes in tip, if only to apologise for his edgy behaviour or buy himself a little more time if the driver had somehow managed to suss him out even with his hat, hood and scarf. “Cheers.” He said.
The man blinked at the onslaught of cash and then nodded repeatedly, “Yes, thank you.”
Matty exhaled shakily and then dipped his chin in another goodbye, stepping back onto the curb and watching the cab pull away before he found himself alone once more.
This was it, he supposed.
The street hadn’t changed much in a matter of days but his mind made it seem as though it had. As though suddenly he didn’t belong. The odd man out.
He shoved his hands into the confines of his pockets, pivoting on his heel to face what he’d come here to do. But nothing had prepared him for the way his stomach suddenly bottomed out at the sight of her front door.
The sound of a car horn a way away spooked him, causing him to jump, but did eventually force him forward off the curb and onto the cracked pavement. He stared down at all the dips and curves they had to offer him the entire way up the path until finally, he reached her front steps.
If anyone asked, Matty would tell them it was as though he’d been working on autopilot when he pried the silver knocker up from the wood and let it rap twice. Though that would be an utter lie. His head screamed at him the whole while and his fingers blurred before him when he’d raised them up to grasp at the chilled metal.
He’d never felt so sick, just standing there, the seconds slowly trickling into minutes, or perhaps even hours. It honestly felt as the day was slowly growing colder the longer that he stood there, staring at a coat of familiar paint, before finally hinges creaked and the door opened, revealing a sight that would’ve surely cured sore eyes, if only it hadn’t gone and broken his heart first.
It wasn’t immediate, the effect the past couple days had had on her. It was more in the way she held herself, the sadness which clung to her every fibre, the way she wouldn’t quite look him in the eye.
She stared, caught in a standstill, and for a long moment did nothing before silently and slowly she withdrew enough to allow him through.
Matty didn’t dare utter a word, let alone breathe. Careful to avoid brushing against her or stepping on her toes as he slowly crossed over the threshold to get in, though the hands he’d hidden in his coat pockets curled into fists to keep himself steady.
The first thing he noted upon first entering was the significant state of the flat, it wasn’t messy or untidy by any means, but looked nothing at all like a house typically inhabited by a child should, or at least a monster as chaotic as he knew Teddy to be. It was almost as though Mouse had been expecting a letting agent to pass through with a couple dozen couples, what with how clean it was. He almost reckoned that if he were to crouch down right there he’d probably be able to make out the seam of his jeans in the reflection of the floors.
“You can just hang your-”
“I know.” Matty whispered, not intentionally meaning to cut her off but unable to help himself anyway.
It hurt, feeling as though he was just a guest in a place he had practically considered home not too long ago. He coughed lightly and shrugged off his coat to do so anyway, hanging it up where he usually did, something which made him pause for a split second, wondering whether this could possibly be the last time he’d have the privilege of doing so.
“Right.” Mouse murmured somewhere behind him, snapping Matty out of his thoughts. She stepped on by him just after, eyes trained on the end of the hallway until they reached the living room, “Erm, I’m just starting on a brew. You can wait here if you want.”
He wanted to follow after her, to fall down onto his knees and fucking sob there at her feet, but he was scared he’d dirty her floors or more than likely end up looking like a total knob. He would. Fucking felt like one just from thinking it. So he did as instructed, moving towards the sofa, taking note of everything and anything the room had to offer him.
Matty’s eyes flickered over to the kitchen doorway when he realised she’d stopped there, fiddling with her nails before she caught him looking and dropped her hands. “Just realised I didn’t ask if you wanted anything.”
God, it was so fucking strained.
He took a short breath in and attempted to smile, “Tea sounds good.” Was all that he said, and watched on as her brow wrinkled, head tilting with it.
“Uh, I still have that coffee you like. The one you brought over, if you’d prefer.” She told him and he recognised her confusion for what it was, or maybe it was just her weariness over letting him know that his stuff was still where he’d left it. Or, maybe, just fucking maybe he was reading way too much into everything.
“Tea’s good.” Matty murmured, feeling a little less tense now that he knew that she was sort of sitting in the same boat. “But thanks.”
Her chest rose and fell with her next breath and he watched her nod with difficulty at him, still not meeting his eye. “Right, just be a sec then.”
She disappeared past the door with that, whilst he simply stood and listened to the run of the tap and then the flick of the kettle, feeling stupid for having missed something he hadn’t even realised he’d taken note of before.
But that was just typical, wasn’t it? To miss something so mundane now that it was no longer expected.
Once he heard the clink of mugs Matty allowed his gaze to roam, trailing over the bundle of neatly folded throws settled on the wicker basket by the sofa, ones he knew that if Teddy was here would still be scattered all over the floor before the tv.
There were a couple of coasters laid out on the coffee table, though the fruit bowl had since been removed, something he knew Mouse did whenever there were only a few pieces left or none at all. There would probably be grapes or something of the sort in the fridge though.
She had a couple of receipts left out on the shelf below the mirror she’d hung up on the wall when she’d first moved in, and the picture frames beside them were still the same. Only one was missing, and he knew which.
He noticed that the candles over by the lamp were new though, expensive if he remembered rightly because he was sure that he’d spotted them round someone else’s place recently. He wondered briefly over who could’ve gifted them to her, knowing that she much preferred her usual scents, only ever splurging on the larger Yankee Candle jars they had to offer in the local Debenhams.
He found himself smiling at the thought.
It was then that she shuffled back into the room though, stalling his observations. She carried two mugs in her hand and a small plate loaded with biscuits on her forearm. Immediately Matty moved to help her, taking the plate from her even with knowing that she had it handled.
“I could’ve managed.” She murmured, though not unkindly, and then thanked him quietly once she’d gone and placed the mugs down.
Matty followed her lead, settling the biscuits near the edge of the coffee table, between the two coasters, before fumbling for a second over where to sit. Squeaks seemed to take to one end of the settee so Matty perched on the other, though closer to the middle crease than the arm.
“You got hobnobs?” Matty finally asked, breaking the silence again, eyes flicking over to the plate he’d just held before shooting back over to find her.
She blushed faintly at his comment, then shrugged. “You like them, don’t you?”
Matty scoffed lightly, a soft smile limning his lips, “Yeah, but you hate them. Once claimed that they were like digestives only after being shat out.”
She wrinkled her nose at that, though Matty was quite sure he could spot the mirth that flickered across her face. “Want them or not?”
Rolling his eyes in fond exasperation and knowing not to push it, he picked one up and settled in a little more comfortably into the sofa cushions.
The silence would’ve been almost unbearable if she hadn’t had the foresight to have turned the tv on low before he’d arrived. So whilst a documentary played on one of the many BBC channels, Matty struggled with himself to find the best thing to say. Though he needn’t have bothered, she was always one step ahead.
“So, I think I should start by saying that I um, I know I held a lot of expectations.”
Almost simultaneously, Matty frowned.
She just wrung her hands together once before thinking better of it and laying them flat in her lap. Matty merely wished to reach out and take them in his own. “And I get that it must’ve been a struggle for you, to basically go from like one end of a scale and then jump right off the other side. But, I-”
“What are you on about?” Matty interrupted, unable to help himself in truth, so beyond baffled by the sudden speech she’d started. She stopped and blinked over at him, finally looking him in the eye. At last.
“What do you mean?” She retorted with a pinch between her brows, “Listen, I planned this all out, alright? So can I just get out what I want to say?”
Matty stared, then forced out a breath of air. “Squeaks,” She shuttered at the name, closing off slightly, enough so that Matty took quick note and wished he hadn’t said a thing, but yet, he still carried on. Desperate to save any blundered attempt he’d make. “Look, this weren’t on you. None of it was, okay?”
Her eyes trailed back over towards him at that, though her expression was almost unreadable. Matty struggled with that bit the most, he’d always been able to read her for the most part.
“So, this crap about expectations and me struggling with whatever idea you’ve made up in your mind is stupid.” Her eyes narrowed then and he watched her work her jaw, obviously none too happy about his retort. He withheld a heavy sigh, “I’m not- Look, I’m not trying to be difficult I’m just saying that- What I’m trying to say is, that every relationship has goals or expectations, that’s normal. But nothing you ever did forced me do what I did. That shit? It was all on me. It was me being insecure and scared, yeah? So, don’t go trying to excuse it. Because I’ve had people do that for me for far too fucking long now and hearing it come from you...”
He sort of felt himself slump at that, a little bitter and resentful over the fact that she’d since come to think of it that way. As though his mistakes were all just down to her and her inability to do right by him. He realised though, belatedly, that if anyone else had done exactly that, or even attempted to, in any other scenario he just might have taken up the offer and ran with it. But this was her, this was Squeaks.
She was quiet for a time, then she picked up her mug, eyes trained on the movement of it before, “What then?”
“What?” Matty frowned once more, shuffling forward in his seat in an attempt to catch her eye again.
“Why did you do it then? Why’d you lie, why didn’t you tell me about Teddy?”
That knot he’d been feeling for weeks now. The one at the very end of his tongue, all tied and tangled in the back of his throat, suddenly shrivelled up and slackened, leaving a bitter aftertaste and a plethora of guilt behind.
Matty’s gaze wandered over to the window, to where Teddy’s guitar sat in its stand just before a heavy set of grey curtains. He withheld the urge to pick at his nails as he searched for the right words to give her, wanting so honestly to tell her the truth, to give her a play by play of what had happened in detail, as well as every thought that had gone through his mind.
“It wasn’t what it looked like for a start.”
Mouse scoffed a little at that, and Matty couldn’t be mad at it. If he was sat on the other end of this he’d been doing more than just that, he’d be up in arms, tossing shit about and raving to all who would listen.
Still, his eyes trailed down to where his hands now laid in his lap and he pressed his thumb to his palm. “We were on the highstreet, on the way back here.” He started, voice quiet as his stare tracked the faint lines of his hand, “The guy you saw in the pictures came out of nowhere really. Me and Teds had just been at that ice cream shop a way down, I didn’t even spot him until he was there, in my face.”
Matty wet his lower lip, mouth suddenly going dry. Mouse just waited.
“Teddy was quick to hide behind me, you know? The loudmouth didn’t even really notice him until the last minute. But you have to know, all I wanted was to get him out of there. To avoid staying too long and attracting the wrong sort of attention. Okay? So I’d said I had to get going as soon as he'd spoken, told him I didn’t have time to stay and chat.”
He took a quick breath with that, eyes still centred on the deepest groove of his palm. “But then he, then he brought up Luke. Said something about the funeral he didn't go to and wanting to celebrate his life.” Out of the corner of his eye he saw Squeaks’s hands still from their previous bout of fidgeting. “But I told him I was clean. He didn’t believe me at first, which,” Matty huffed out a self-deprecating laugh, “Well, I can’t blame him for that, what with my track record.”
He heard her inhale then and looked up, it seemed as though she was going to say something but thought better. So Matty bit down on the insides of his cheeks to keep from asking before he exhaled slowly, digging a nail into that groove.
“He got a bit aggy, started calling me a toff and whatnot, because I 'spose I was just a rich boy who bought him a couple grams of coke every now and then.” He clucked his tongue thinking about it, but eventually shrugged. “Then I don’t know, he must’ve looked down or something ‘cause that’s when he,” Matty paused and his gaze shot over to her, then away again, “That’s when he spotted Teddy.”
Mouse wrinkled her mouth, then tried to nod, obviously wanting him to continue. Though she kept her eyes trained on the rim of her mug.
“That’s when he said some shit and I reacted.”
“Said what?”
Matty startled a little at the sound of her question but was hasty in his attempt to answer. “Just, he reckoned that Teddy was mine and that I had to have knocked someone up. So now they were just using me for the money.”
Her eyes slipped closed and her fingers tightened their grip on her cup.
Swallowing thickly, Matty went to continue, “I shoved him and told him to do one- that’s what they caught in those photos. I didn't take anything he offered, I didn't even look back after. Just walked away, thinking of Teddy, trying to get him out of there. The bloke, he kept on shouting, saying some crap about this and that. But I carried on walking.”
Matty was proud of that fact, even with everything that had happened since. Not too long ago, a different version of him would have handled it all too severely. It was a step, a tiny one, sure, but it was progress.
“Then what?” Mouse voiced, prompting him along with just a look.
“Then we walked home.” Matty replied, feeling that familiar cloud of shame dawn over him. “We didn’t really speak, I- I was a bit of a mess, trying to figure out what to do next, what to tell Teddy, to say to make it right again. But Teds, he,” Matty hauled in his next breath, all too fucking close to bawling, that he could admit. “He called for me and I looked down at him. All I could say was sorry, Mouse.”
She nodded tightly, the knuckles she had wrapped around her tea cup had whitened.
“He,” Matty felt the corners of his mouth lift as he remembered the bittersweet memory of Teddy trying to soothe him, “He told me it was alright, that we were okay, but I just kept on saying sorry. He said that the bloke was just a bad man, and I assured him of that. Wanting him to know that we were okay, that the guy was long gone. But then he-”
Matty stopped altogether then, a picture of Teddy's little face coming to the forefront of his mind, and Squeaks immediately took note.
“Then what?”
Her eyes were so full of emotion, but which ones he wasn’t too sure. Still, the sight tightened every muscle in his chest as he forced himself to finish what he’d started. “He said we couldn’t tell you.”
Matty knew he couldn’t have imagined the sharp inhale that sounded from her then, as though she'd just received a blow to the chest. And he so desperately wanted to reach out, to wrap her up and just fucking hold her. But he couldn't. It wasn't his place.
He watched on as she licked at her top lip though, blinking back the wetness that shone in her eyes, “Why?” Her voice cracked on the question but she did not cry.
It was a simple answer. “He didn’t want to hurt you.”
Mouse stood then, placing the cup down with some force before she hastily made her way over to the front window. Matty stayed seated, unsure if he’d be welcome near her.
“It fucking broke me, Squeaks.” He admitted after a moment, his lips now tingled with the sheer amount of effort it took for him to not let his emotions get the better of him. “I didn’t know what to do.”
“You should have told me.” Was her reply, sharp and cutting, enough that it fucking wounded. Because Matty knew that she was right.
“I know.” He answered.
“You should have fucking told me, Matty!” She repeated, turning then to face him. He saw the tremble of her shoulders, the curve of her mouth and how it quaked. He stared, couldn't bring himself to look away.
“I know.”
He swallowed, throat almost aching as much as the hole that made up the majority of his chest.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
“I don't know.” He murmured, mostly to himself.

part 1
full masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Carlos definition of a date in his mind was a normal casual dinner date, not a date where the both of you would’ve enjoyed because right now while waiting for both of your food to arrived, there was a thick air of tension surrounding both of you.
“will you explain what is going on or are we supposed to sit here in silence?” you spoke, cutting off his train of thoughts
not far from your table you could notice the presence of the trio that was peeping towards your table, it’s not a secret when they’re out there wearing the exact same thing that you last saw them in.
“i’m aware lando have told you i’ve broken up with her” nodding your head agreeing to the statement
“I’ll appreciate if i could rekindle this situation, slowly”
now, you’re laughing because why now? why rekindle after a year?
“that’s funny sainz, the last thing i’ve heard from you was that you threw away our friendship over, just because you thought this marriage would meddle in to your relationship”
“you would’ve done the same thing, y/n. you don’t understand”
What did he meant that you wouldn’t understand? what about the nights you sobbed to him about how much you’ve loved your ex, but your parents would never approve of him which led the both of you to part ways
“i would’ve done the same thing carlos, but i couldn’t. it’s different for me because i’m not the head of the family, i’m just a woman who has to listen to everything my father says. I loved him, but i couldn’t do it anymore so i truly understand carlos. I’ve never once threw away our friendship but instead you, you’re selfish and you’re unaware of it”
you expected a reply but all he gave you was a slight nod agreeing to whatever you’ve just told him
“let’s just eat, we’re here anyways, and it would be great if those trios of yours join us instead of trying to hide themselves, because it’s not working”
Tumblr media
it’s been two weeks since then, there was an improvement in carlos attitude towards you, he would pick you up daily from your shifts, asked you out to dinner and he’s actually treating you like a wife should have been treated, which was odd but it did healed a part of your heart knowingly this is exactly the way you wanted to be treat as a wife.
“you’ve been nothing but glowing these past few days, what’s going on?” you’re currently on face-time with your best-friend, casually keeping up with each other gossips
“it’s carlos, he’s been treating me differently ever since that dinner date” setting up your phone on your table, while you’re removing your left over makeup
“well that’s great isn’t it? you guys are married so, least he could do is start treating you like a wife”
your best friend have always had a grudge towards Carlos, ever-since you’ve told her about both yours and Carlos rough past
“yeah and i guess im still getting used to it, but she’s gonna come back anytime sooner, this isn’t the first and surely would not be the last”
sighing while removing your makeup, from your phone screen you could see your best friend shrugging her shoulders agreeing with whatever you’ve just said to her
“he does that everytime, y/n. it’s all up to your choices love”
just then you heard your front doors open with voices trailing behind, “i think he’s homed, i’ll text you in a while, love you”
with that you ended the call with your best-friend and walked to your living room only to be greeted with carlos and his friends
“is there something going on today?” you were confused, you weren’t aware of the invitation of his friends over to your house
“they were just stopping by for dinner, would you like to join us?”
“It’s alright, your mom came by and brought over some food. I’ll just heat them up for you guys”
with that, carlos left the kitchen to entertain his friends
you weren’t particularly fond of his friends, other than the three who’s always around the both of you, these friends were different
you knew the friend group that he sticks by has been there for him since childhood and they’ve particularly were more fond of her rather than you.
there were many times you’d eavesdrop their conversations and those times were when you’d listen to their bad remarks about your marriage.
you knew who carlos ex girlfriend was, you’ve met her multiple times due to carlos and your family gathering that’s on-going for every year.
you’d be lying if you think she wasn’t beautiful because she is, no one knew but you’d sometimes compare the both of you because clearly she was the better looking.
your train of thoughts left your mind when you felt hands snaking around your waist
“what’s going on with that mind of yours, i’ve been calling for you to join us”
you could smell that strong perfume of his and a tint of sweetness which you for sure know it’s neither his nor yours because the perfumes you wore were always citrusy scents, and that was one sign you should have never choose to ignore

We're A Family Part 24 (Steddie X You)
Tumblr media
A/N: So I am calling this the final part just because it IS the final part of the main story but I'm not done with this little family. I still have a few ideas for them so it won't be the last we see.
Warnings: Dads SteddieX Mom Fem Y/N, SMUT of the passionate tender variety that comes with these three, No real ANGST, Dylan going off to college and the three parents here dealing with that. Some flashbacks of Dylan and the reader struggling with Charlie.
The biggest feels here will come along with anyone who has experienced empty nest syndrome so be aware of that.
FLUFF, The guys talk a lot about how much they love their son and vice versa <3.
Word Count: 4965
Good Neighbors/ We're a Family
Your eyes run along newborn Dylan’s little sleeping face as his tiny hand holds your finger. Charlie had passed out long ago, curled up on the makeshift bed as he softly snored. They could be twins.
“I’m glad you’re finally here. Your daddy and I have been so excited to meet you.”, you coo in a gentle tone. “I promise, baby, you are going to have the best life. I’ll do anything I can to protect you and make you happy just like my dad did. I wish you could have met him. He would have adored having a grandson.”
Your voice cracks as tears sting your eyes at the thought. Dylan wiggles a bit in your hold as if he was getting more comfortable as his head turned towards your chest.
Tilting down, you tenderly kiss his forehead and inhale his baby smell.
“I love you so much.”
***
“Hey, sit your little butt down.”, Eddie teases as he lightly tugs on Aurora’s skirt, ushering her to sit beside him.
“But then I can’t see Dylan!”
“Thankfully the ceremony hasn’t started yet so there’s nothing for you to see.”
Vivian chuckles above him as Ro sticks out her tongue and the metalhead does the same.
“She’s definitely got some personality.”
“Yeah, she gets that from her mother.”, Steve jokes as he shifts James in his lap while the little boy continues to play with the man’s tie.
You smile his way but quickly focus back on the students in their seats on the lawn a feet away from the bleachers your family was sitting on. Dylan was laughing with his friends around him and occasionally winking at Daisy from her seat down the way. God, he had picked up way too much from Eddie.
This was a lot harder than you thought it would be. It felt like you were just holding him in arms feeding him a bottle and now suddenly he’s graduating high school. In a week he would be in a completely new state and living his own adult life.
Why did he have to grow up so fast?
The feeling of fingers brushing your hair behind your ear brought you back to realty before you were being pulled to Steve’s side.
“I know, baby. I know.”
A ringed hand encapsulated your own as Eddie kissed the back of it and didn’t let go till the end of the ceremony. Feeling little hands play with your hair, you tilt your head back to see Brody beaming wide before giggling and kissing your forehead.
“Yeah, he’s been doing that lately and we can’t figure out why.”, Vivian’s new boyfriend explained as he lifted him onto his lap.
An accountant, this man was definitely different from Charlie which having been a partner to him as well you understood why she would go down that route. Eddie and Steve liked him even though the metalhead would tease him from time to time when he got a bit too excited when talking about numbers. You and Dylan made sure to remind him that he was the exact same when it came to D&D and he immediately shut up.
“Ed here used to hug people when he was a toddler. Pure strangers, he would just run to them and give ‘em a hug.”, Wayne chimed in making Steve chuckle at the thought.
Your mom and Mrs. Harrington weren’t able to make it to the ceremony due to previous commitments they were unable to squeeze out of but Kierra promised to record everything which she did with her phone held high in the air. Wayne and Mrs. Harrington were honestly surprised Dylan wanted them there.
“They’re my grandparents to. Why wouldn’t I want them there?”
Steve’s mom cried when he told her and Eddie’s uncle turned into the equivalent of goo as he blushed.
Even after the months that had passed, your son followed through with not having Charlie there, the three of you sitting with him in his room as he made the call. He texted you after asking if it would be ok to swing by at least before he left for college and you told him you were ok with that.
Everyone quieted down as the principal walked across the stage and began the graduation ceremony.
###########
Your eyes shift between your husband and your four-year-old son as they pick at the food on their plates. Charlie’s fingers moved quickly along his phone and it killed you. You hated that thing and how much time he spent on it.
“Baby?”
“Hm.”
“Charles.”
“What, Y/N?”, he snaps.
“Why don’t you put your phone down, huh?”
“I’m talking to my boss.”
“Ok. Can he not wait until after dinner?” When he ignores you, your worried eyes glance towards Dylan whose wide observant ones immediately focused back down on his plate. “Charlie, come on. I’m asking for one hour.”
“Jesus.”, he whines as he slams down his device making you and your son jump. “I’m dealing with a big important thing for work…to make us money…for you and Dylan but sure! Let me put everything on the back burner! How was your day, honey?”
Throwing a scowl his way, you try to ignore his sarcasm but he persists.
“No, hey. My phones away, let’s talk! No? Ok, hey, Dil. How was your day?!” Without saying a word, your son gets up and runs to his bedroom. “Well that’s great.”
“What do you expect when you talk to him like that? Why is it so hard for you to be here and present with your family?”, you hiss.
“What the fuck do you want from me, Y/N?! Do you want this fucking roof over your goddamn heads?! That cost money, baby! Whatever. I’m fucking done with this conversation.”
Your jaw tightens as you listen to him get up, grab his jacket, and slam the front door as he leaves.
***
“Dylan? Weirdo, are you ok?” Your heart breaks when he doesn’t answer, pressing his little face further into his pillow. Sighing, you climb in beside him and run your fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry, baby. Daddy didn’t mean to snap at you like that.”
Rolling over, he wraps his arms around you and you rest your head on his as you hold him tightly.
“Daddy’s always angry.”
“But never at you, Dylan. He loves you so much.”
“And you?”
“Does daddy love me? Yeah, honey, of course.”
“Den why he so mad all da time?”
You genuinely had no idea how to answer that question as you kissed his forehead. Your brain began to wonder as you thought about what would be best. Divorce popped in occasionally but you immediately shook away the notion. You and Charlie both lost your dads. You didn’t want that for him.
You can make this work. Maybe there’s something you could do to get the man you fell in love with back so the three of you could be happy.
***
Dylan excitedly runs in your direction but Aurora and James cut his parents off as they get to him first. The boy effortlessly picks them up with each arm and Steve grins as he takes a picture.
“I’m free!”
“We’re so proud of you, babe.”, Vivian praises as she kisses his cheek before Brody does the same making your son laugh.
“Very proud.”, Wayne smiles, thrown off when Dylan places his siblings down and gives the man a hug. Eddie chuckles through his teeth as his uncle lightly smacks his chest before wrapping his arms around the boy.
“How dare you make me feel old.”, Kierra playfully scolds as she kisses his face.
“A high school graduate and on your first go around!”, the metalhead jokes as he leans in for a hug. “You’re amazing, kid.”
“I guess I can’t call you ‘little man’ anymore.”, Steve says as he takes the boy in his arms.
“You still can and you can never stop calling me ‘weirdo’.”, Dylan replies gesturing towards you.
“You’re always going to be my little weirdo.”
He softly smiles as he bends to embrace you allowing you to circle your arms around his neck as he lifts you off your feet.
“I love you, mom. Thank you for everything.”
#############
A seven-year-old Dylan clings to your neck as you hold him to you against the wall of the pool at the apartment complex. Eddie insisted he could beat Steve in a race and the former swimmer promptly took the challenge.
“1! 2! 3! GO!”, your son shouted, giggling as both men splashed water everywhere as they took off.
“I told you!”, Steve gloated as he beat the metalhead effortlessly. “You went to school with me. You should have known better.”
Eddie pants as he finally reaches the wall beside you.
“Jesus, I need to stop smoking.”
You and Dylan laugh at him as the other boy pulls his body out of the pool and leans down to take the small boy from you.
“I’m starving. Munson is buying dinner since he sucks—lost—I mean lost.”
Scowling his way, the long-haired man helps you out of the water and wraps a towel around your body.
When you four make it back to the apartment, Steve sighs as he realizes he has a couple of missed calls.
“It’s from the store. I just need one minute.”
Dylan’s head hangs as he wraps his towel tighter around him and heads for his bedroom to change. Grabbing his arm, you stop him and move some of the hair that had stuck to his forehead.
“Hey Keith, what’s going on?...You need me to come in…” Eddie’s chocolate eyes watch both of you intensely as you cup your son’s face in your hands. “Ok, well, I’m not free today but if you call Robin she can help today and I can come in tomorrow.”
Your son’s head shot up to look towards Steve as he gave his boss a few more uh huhs before finally turning around and throwing his phone back down on your couch.
“What?”, he asked when he realized you three were watching him. “What’s wrong, little man? Everything ok?”
“Y-You…you don’t have to leave?”
“No? I’m spending the day with you, bud. Why would I even want to leave?”, he chuckled a bit confused. Tears leave the small boy’s eyes as he runs and practically tackles Steve’s legs.
“Thank you.”
“Hey. Go change so you can come back and tell Eddie what you want him to buy you.”, you instructed as you tickle his neck with your finger.
As soon as he disappears, you tackle your arms around his waist and lean your head on his chest.
“Thank you.”
“I’m not quite sure what I did but you’re both welcome.”
Tilting back, you softly press your lips to his.
“Thank you for being you.”
***
After putting Aurora to bed, you stepped outside on to your back porch where Eddie was already into his second cigarette with a beer in his hand. As you sat beside him on the steps, you scanned him over truly taking in how much he had changed in almost 12 years. He looked incredibly handsome in his button up short sleeve shirt and tie with black slacks that Steve insisted he wear to look more formal.
He had his hair pulled back for the ceremony but now it was down around his shoulders. As he brought the cigarette to this lips you couldn’t help but admire his wedding band that blended in perfectly with his other rings.
Visually, he still more or less looked the same with a few new signs of aging in his face and more laugh lines around his eyes but what really shifted was his demeanor. While Eddie always had an air of confidence, he seemed to carry it differently now that he was older. Most of the burdens he held before he no longer had because he was finally genuinely happy. He had everything he could have ever asked for and more.
Silently, he handed you his half-finished cigarette that you eagerly sucked on as he took a sip from the bottle in his hand.
“What are you thinking about?”, you ask as you lean against the rail beside you.
“You.”, he smiles. “Steve. Dylan. Ro. James. My family.”
“Anything in particular?”
His lips pout out slightly as he shakes his head and continues looking off towards the lake.
“When I caught Charlie and Vivian, I remember going off on him and then running out the door. I felt so lost and confused. I didn’t know where to go because I knew if I went home my mom would make me feel bad. I was too embarrassed at the time to go to Kierra’s and I didn’t have any friends I felt comfortable with. I pulled over on the side of the road and sobbed.”
Eddie’s hand reaches out to intertwine with yours making you smile as you glance in the distance was well. You both listened as shoes scooted along the wood, sliding over a chair as Steve exhaled taking a seat. The metalhead lifted his bottle in the air that the other man took and chugged back the remaining liquid.
“If you had told me then that I would be here in this big house where my two other kids are sleeping after seeing Dylan graduate high school and with two men who are not only fabulous husbands and partners but phenomenal dads to a little boy… who just wanted to be appreciated for who he was…”
The metalhead wiped his eyes as the tears began to flow from them both.
“I know…you said once that its easier for me to hold it all in when it comes to him but… Y/N, when his principal said ‘Dylan Munson-Harrington’… it all just hit me. All the memories and the fact that he’s leaving in a week. I mean this kid has been with us since the beginning.”
“Since day one.”, Steve added. “Shit. If you had told us the night before that tomorrow I would open the door to a little boy that would change everything… Y/N, growing up the thought of being a dad scared me but it always felt easy with him.”
“He always wanted to learn and asked me constantly to show him how to play my guitar.”, Eddie laughed. “I remember one of our first conversations was when we came over and I hooked up the video game system. I asked him what kind of games he liked and he just lit up, sweetheart. When he told me Charlie never liked the things he did or played with him he made me think of my dad. Allen was the same way and I didn’t want that for him.”
“And that’s just the beginning. Don’t even get me started on all the other feelings about how he’ll be the first Munson to go to school and get a degree.”, Eddie laughed as he leaned back against Steve’s leg. “I’m so proud of him but I’m really going to fucking miss him.”
“Me to.”
“Me to.”, you add. “Thank you for being you.”
##################
“Dad? Can I ask you something?”, a twelve-year-old Dylan inquires as Eddie starts to walk past his door after putting his sister to bed.
“Yeah, kid. What’s up?”
“How did you ask a girl out when you were my age?”
“Oof. I had all the girls lined up around the block to date me! Oh, wait, that was Steven.”, he teased making his son laugh. “When I was your age I had this huge crush on a girl in my English class. She was one of the popular kids and I was terrified to say anything. But one day we got paired up for a project and I made her laugh. Just started acting like a total dork and she loved it.”
“So…be funny?”
“I mean, there’s a bit more to it but…” Eddie pauses as he starts to panic, fearful he’s giving the boy the worst advice. “Look, Dylan, my dad wisdom to you? Just be yourself. Steve and I had an ex that was so uptight. She hated that I ‘couldn’t be serious.’ Truth was she didn’t like me for me. Your mom on the other hand loves my nerdy ass and my sense of humor.”
Dylan beams as his dad pulls him in for a hug.
“Can I find out who this girl is? I swear I won’t tell Y/N.”
 “It’s, um, I kind of…really like…Daisy.”
Eddie tries to contain his giddiness at his son’s admission. Steve had called it a long time ago and you had mentioned how cute he seemed to get every time Daisy would come over.
“Dude, come on. She definitely likes you for you. I see you make her laugh all the time and listen to her when she seems upset. You offered to help her with school. You’re a good dude.”
“But what if she only wants to be friends?”
“Then that’s ok to and you know no matter what the three of us will be here with pizza and beer to cure your heartache.”
“Mom won’t let you give me beer!”, Dylan chuckles.
“Meh, you’re right. Ok, Steve and I will sneak you into the bar then.”
***
It was so soft you barely felt it at first, both their lips kissing and sucking on either side of your neck. When your eyes fluttered open, you took in the scene before you. Eddie and Steve were pressed against your sides, their arms thrown over your body as palms rubbed along your tummy and chest. There was a neediness behind their subtle movements that had you whimpering as you arched your head back to allow them more access as their mouths opened wider to run their tongues along your skin.
Steve was the first to move, placing his body on top of yours and pulling down his boxers enough to free his cock. As he leaned back on his heels to remove his shirt, the metalhead’s lips mingled with your own, his hand cupping your cheek to keep you facing him. After wrapping your legs around his waist, the other man guided himself into your entrance and Eddie mewled as you heavily exhaled at the feeling.
Steve’s large, soft hand traveled to your breasts, kneading your tits as he rolled his hips at steady pace. When his palm finds your throat, his eyes meet yours and you nod earnestly granting him permission before lightly squeezing it between his fingers.
Jumping to the side, Eddie hastily removes his clothes, stroking his cock at the sight of you both as he crawls back in beside you. Opening your mouth, now desperate to taste him, he accepts your invitation, moaning loudly as your tongue plays with his tip and your head bobs.
Slanting his lower half till he was hovering just above you, Steve thrusts into you harder and faster as his own tongue extends out to help you lick his husband’s length. After readjusting himself, the metalhead clung to the other man’s hair as he pumped his dick down his throat causing him to slightly gag and constrict around him while you clung to Steve’s shoulders smothering your moans against his skin.
It was almost too much as your pussy quivered around him and you came, his palm immediately coming to cover your mouth as he fucked you through your high. Eddie laid back down on his side, tilting his head to kiss the lips of the man he loved as he grunted and his warm release filled you up.
Taking you in his arms, the long-haired boy maneuvered you around until you were on top of him with your back against his chest. You couldn’t help but shiver against his body as he ran his leaking tip through your dripping folds, grazing your clit and making you whine.
As soon as his cock entered you, he set an animalistic pace as his dick slammed into your sensitive spot repeatedly.
“Oh, fu--!”
Eddie’s ring covered hand cut you off, covering your mouth as you started to scream at the sudden feeling of Steve’s tongue flicking your bundle of nerves. Your own hand rested on his as your fingers intertwined with the one he had gripping your stomach.
The way he groaned in your ear, you knew the pretty boy was altering between you and Eddie as he played with your nub and sucked on the other man’s balls. It drove him wild as he pushed against your back, forcing you to sit up as he grabbed both sides of your hips and guided your movements.
Steve’s fingers slid into your mouth, hoping to silence you as he continued pleasuring you both. As you neared your climax, it wasn’t enough and Eddie flipped you over so you could shove your face into the pillow and shout as you fell over the ledge. Lying flat against your back, he held your hands as his forehead leaned against your shoulder warming your skin as he panted.
Grunts filled your ears and with a few more rough thrusts, he emptied inside of you.
You laid there quietly until Steve motioned for you both to follow and guided you two in the shower with him. You allowed them to clean you as you watched them carefully, Eddie closing his eyes as he leaned his head back under the hot water and Steve sighing as he pressed his back against the cold tile.
“I’m proud of you two.” Their heads lifted to look at you as you continued. “He may be the first Munson to go to college but he learned that hard work ethic for you, Eddie. You own your own store and work hard to take care of everyone not just us. Steve, you showed him he could achieve anything he wanted by following your dream and becoming a teacher.”
“My son was always a good kid but because of you two he’s happy. I’m going to miss him but I’m not worried about his future because of everything you both have done for him. I’ll never be able to thank you properly…”
As the tears start to flow arms wrap around you from behind and Steve promptly tugs you both forward as he presses your head to his chest.
“I would hold that thought…we still have two kids left to fuck up.”
You and the man in front of you giggle at Eddie’s comment as the heavy air breaks and you shake your head as you turn around to give him a big hug.
#############
A six-year-old Dylan smiles up at you from his place in bed as he waits for you to tuck him in.
A couple of nights ago, Eddie and Steve had come over to spend time with him when his father bailed and that night you three were intimate in their apartment after he had gone to bed. It had been two days since you saw them and you couldn’t stop thinking about them.
“Mommy? When are we going to hang out wit-wit Eddie and Steve again?”
Softly grinning, you climbed in beside him and he promptly curled up at your side.
“You liked spending time with them?”
“Yeah! Mom, Eddie is-is-is so funny and Steve said he would play basketball wit me. I love them!”
“Oh my goodness!”, you tease as you pull him close and kiss the top of his head. “Yeah, they were fun to hang out with and they told me that you’re an amazing kid.”
He blushes as you smile, turning off his little lamp as you continue to run your fingers through his hair.
“Do you like hanging out wit dem?”
“Yeah, baby, I did.”
“Good cause…you seem…different…around dem…”
“Different how, weirdo?”
“Happy.”
***
James and Aurora clung to Dylan’s neck as their dads finished putting the last remaining boxes in the U-Haul.
“Guys, I’m not going away forever and you know I’ll call you both every day.”
“You promise you’ll come home for Christmas and my birthday?”
“Of course, Ro. Unless you get a boyfriend you’d rather hang out with.”
“I didn’t hear that.”, Steve teases making them laugh.
“Love you, bra-der.”
“I love you to, kid.”
“Ok, guys we have to let Dylan go.” Your voice cracked as you lightly pulled on your daughter’s curls. “Rara, why don’t you and James go watch some TV and I will make you guys lunch in a minute, ok?”
After giving them one last kiss, he drops them to their feet and both kids wave before running inside the house. He grins down at you as you wrap your arms around him and he holds you tightly.
“I love you so much.”
“I love you to, mom.”
The sound of the truck clanging shut pulled you both apart as you kissed his cheek and he playfully whined as he lightly pushed you. Both men shuffled slowly around the corner as they waited for their turn to say goodbye.
Smiling their way, you scooted towards the porch and sat on the steps so they could be alone.
“So, let us know when you get there and that you and Daisy are safe.”
“And if you need anything and I mean anything just give us a call and we’ll fly right over no questions asked.”, Eddie added making Dylan grin.
“I know you would and that’s why you’re my dads.”, he replied. “I don’t remember a whole lot from their marriage but I do remember my mom was always trying to keep it together. Always carrying this burden that she thought I couldn’t see. The first time I ever saw her genuinely smile was that first time you two came over.”
“Daisy and I have been talking these past couple of weeks and she feels bad about leaving her mom here with her dad. It wasn’t until she said it that I realized, I don’t have that problem because I know she’s safe with you.”
“Jesus Christ, kid.”, Eddie chuckled as he tried to hide the tears that had fallen. “Still the fucking kid spy for the CIA or some shit.” Everyone laughed including you even though you couldn’t hear their conversation. “You’ve always been really smart and so fucking kind. I know you always used to say how much you loved that we listened to you and cared about things you were into but you have no idea how much it meant to me when you did that for me. The way you listened to me babble about D & D and guitar—”
“Hey, now, the guitar is awesome.”
“Yeah it is.”, the metalhead grins. “What I’m trying to say is I was always afraid of becoming Allen but you taught me that as a father and a man I could be like Wayne… I love you, kid, and I’m so fucking proud of you.”
He leans in to give his son a hug and you smile as you picture the small kid that played video games with him 24/7. The young boy that ran into Eddie’s arms after his talent show where he had taught him to play the guitar. The little boy who in his most terrifying moment called the metalhead first to come help him because he felt safe with him.
“I know I can be a bit overprotective but…”, Steve laughed breathily as they beamed at him. “…Like Ed said, you were such a good kid and I hated, fucking hated, when Charlie would hurt you. No one ever stood up for me when I was growing up. I was always alone in our big house and anytime my dad was an asshole I just kind of absorbed it. I didn’t want that for you…any of you three. I knew I wanted my kids to have a happy home where they felt safe coming to me. Dylan, you were my son before you even started calling me dad. Even if you had decided to keep your last name and kept calling him dad, you would still be our son. I love you to, little man.”
As they embrace and your oldest begins to cry against his shoulder, you see the six-year-old that clung to Steve when he was in the hospital sick with a fever. The small boy who stood down an adult like Mr. Harrington and scolded him for being rude to “his daddy”. The young man who held him tightly as his own biological parent broke his heart and he listened to the man he now saw as his father defend and protect him.
“Ok, ok. Come on. You have to go. Daisy is waiting for you.” Steve lifts the boys head and wipes his tears with his thumbs as they both grin at him comfortingly. “And you’re right by the way. She is safe with us. Nothing bad is going to happen to Y/N or your siblings, ok?”
Nodding, he gives you one final wave as he hops into the truck and slowly begins driving down the road.
“Are you ok?”, you ask as you come up behind them.
“Yeah, sweetheart. You?”
“I’m sure I will be.”
“Yeah…”, Eddie agrees as he pulls your back against his chest and rests his head on your shoulder. “At least I get my guitar room back.”
“Oh really?!”, Steve shouts as the metalhead takes your hand and the three of you head towards your front door. “I thought we all agree I could have an office.”
“Yes, Steven, because grading papers requires a whole room for you.”
“Eddie, stop it.”, you giggle as you push up on your toes to kiss their lips.

Here to share Hien thoughts today.
Tumblr media
One thing that defines her is that she’s very capable. She’s the highest ranking in the squad after Maizuru so her confidence is in part because she does have that senior coworker &/ leader authority to her, confidence which is very much earned.
If I had to dig deeper at her beyond just what we’re shown I’d go with the angle that… She was born into the Nakamoto household and being a ninja servant, she grew up there, she doesn’t know anything else beyond the job, and it’s a job she does well, traines to get there. She’s here to do her work and she’s content with her life being how it is, not that she knows anything else. I don’t think she’d be self-aware about it all? Both because this really is pretty normal for Wa and it’s her normal, and because, while she doesn’t fold her spine or care for things like cosmetics, she does mold her attitude to be both capable and respectable. Her home, the Nakamoto household, is simultaneously a professional setting, it’s a 24/7 thing.
She’s critical of others, including her superiors and she doesn’t shy from it. Everyone shittalks Toshiro’s father regardless, but she also gets reprimanded by Maizuru for seeing Toshiro as vaguely unreliable, again likely influenced by their history as childhood friends, sasses Maizuru when she goes off into an anecdote again, etc. Even as a kid with Toshiro, doubtlessly after starting her ninja training already considering that Toshiro started his at ~5yo, she told him it was unbecoming of him to cry. She’s the one both with the job and the will to keep others in check, like when it comes to Izutsumi not doing her tasks, etc etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her childhood friend relationship with Toshiro only grew more professional with time, to her surprise but seems to be more about the thought of it rather than it affecting her emotionally. With the way her extra comic lays it out, it seems she expected to become Toshiro’s mistress because of history repeating itself, in a "it is what it is" way more than anything, which is in line with the reading that she’s more go-with-the-flow and "anything that I’m tasked with I’ll accomplish, as a matter of course". She’s not really social, and keeps herself ready to act at beck and call. She’s not uptight but she’s hard-working. So yeah like, taking pride in your skills but also keeping your identity mostly molded for efficiency. She doesn’t really think about it all, she just is and she’s fine with things as they are, going from one task to the next.
I think it’d be neat to look at her relationship with her parents… They’re both servants at the Nakamotos’, so while maybe busy like Maizuru was at times while raising Toshiro but still taking the time to cook for him (which, parents that prioritize work over her would make sense with how she became how she is), I wonder what their relationship was like, how much time they spent together, how Hien feels like towards them… I assume they’re a part in molding what her definition of normal is, after all if they are longstanding servants of the Nakamotos she has that much less reason to question such a life. But like… Have they ever had hard-hitting discussions, or is she pretty distant even with them? Did they push her into working harder, or were more hands-off? Does Hien maybe want to earn recognition by being capable? Hien has a younger sister that she gets along "so-so" with…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hien’s younger sister seems to smile more, be more social and a bit nonchalant, such and such. Could be a point of tension that points to the "so-so", that they’re dissimilar/Hien thinks she doesn’t behave right or takes things too lightly, that she’s "unreliable" maybe. Or it could also point to some difference in how they grew up… Like oh I bet there could be tasty angst with mertocracy and siblings favoritism with her family thrown in there… Having to earn the love, earn your keep, earn your spot in the hierarchy (in work and family both)
To me she shines best as a foil, like to Beni, but like. She’s got neat stuff going on If you’re wondering where I took half of what I referenced from I recommend looking at my masterpost on the Nakamoto party, info and extras are compiled
