there's a certain vibe to quarantine music videos that i really can't unsee: the home-done greenscreen, how we got super into cartoon backgrounds for a while (we had no choice). wildflower is part of a generation and a community also containing things like keith urban's superman. these songs could all be part of one same visualisation MTVesque ABC Kids/CBeebies inspired playlist. it's such a mark of the times and I kind of love the art that came out of that era

Its so fucked up that i have to be studying for an exam and then doing the exam and then moving out of my dorm and then starting my job. I should be. Thinking about tabletop rpgs forever

Garden Report 23.07.08

This is not a work order but rather a post about relaxing enjoying the nature of the garden! I love to go out the front before the birds start their morning chorus and settle in on the bench with a warm cup of something. I sniff at the predawn breezes to see what message they bring: the murmuring as the tide turned, how the dampness of the fog caresses my face, the gentle aromas of the plants perfumes dancing between the dewdrops ... and then the call and response starts the roundelay. I close my eyes and feel the morning gently begin and unfold through the birds’ song.

Later in the day, I gather things for a round of watering, pausing to nibble on the berries that the birds have not obliterated. I gather the ruined fruits for the hens. A little bird flies amoung the flowers and brambles, resting on a twig here and there to question my appearance in his garden. He talks and I respond and so the conversation goes around and around.

Evening settles in the garden; there an occasional bat passes through. The butterflies of the night , a flight of moths, dance through the settling dusk. Amazing the different sizes, shapes and flight patterns... they float away about the time the Swifts start clicking and diving.

I never grow tired of the garden. It is a reprise for me and the little creatures on wings, like a little habitat island. As the seasons change, my habits change, the birds and insect visitors rotate in and away for a time. But in the summer, living is easy and moments are to be enjoyed for they are all temporary. Seasons come and seasons go and we all are just temporary ... but so much more enjoyable being in harmony with the garden, to enjoy the moment if we can.

It was...odd. Realizing that he was falling for a mortal. It was human nature to grow, to age as the sands of time moved through their souls. And by definition, he didn't.

He'd remain, just as he was now. He'd have to carry their soul away one day, when the time came. Even if by that time, those feelings were long distant memories...it...he couldn't put his finger on the emotion. What that reminder of ephemerality made him feel.

It was the cost of eternity, he supposed.
