Look, until Elodie shows up, I want to believe that the reason she doesn’t talk about her coward, frog husband is because her grief is too much.

She is a princess, with a beautiful golden ball that fell into a pond, that when the time came for her to step up and defend her people against giants, she fucking stood up. She is a princess with a golden mace who did everything she could for crown, country and people.

Elodie fell in love with the flower boy next door and it was true. She knows it was true because Gerard was always a little soft and silly but he made her laugh, proved to her that she wasn’t a shallow, spoiled princess, and when she kissed the top of his frog head, he turned into a handsome prince.

How do you explain that story to a group of women whose princes never showed up during the times of darkness?

Gerard, despite the fact that he flinches at loud noises, doesn’t like dogs, and snaps way too quickly at the staff, is a prince who showed up and their story is mostly about falling in love.

Elodie can relate to Snow and Cinderella when it comes to battles and dead mothers and living for a cause to thwart destiny but I have to believe she is grieving the loss of her true love.

And that’s not something the other princesses have had and lost. Elodie isn’t twice upon a time yet. She might have been enlightened in some way but she’s still the previous world’s Elodie.

Which makes her unique.

No wonder Gerard is able to put his book away and hope that he has a chance at being a part of Elodie’s story again. Their story was good the first time. He knows what it is that they have to lose--they both do.

And maybe, that is a destiny worth stealing from the authors.

But what do I know? I’m just a hopeless shipper romantic.

I posted on 小红书 and there is is many nice people on there but some people are really mean for no reason.

Like someone called me “内个” ; like what’s the point?

But other than that they are just calling me cute lol. It’s making me very anxious though how much interaction it’s getting. But at the same time I also believe that nothing matters in the end.

All the people calling my braids “dirty” and just genuinely insulting me are such losers like do something better with your life.

I also don’t care about hate comments because truly they don’t really affect me. I just, Don’t care.

It makes sense

I want to mention one wise phrase: "Home is not a Place, but People". It's true. Sylvie is now tying herself to the Place, but those who care about her and love her are at TVA. She has built a barrier between them. Learning to trust is important.

Loki made his choice not for TVA, but to protect her. Sylvie needs to understand this move. "McDonald's" is a comfortable bubble where she continues to hide. It's a lie. She is still running, from herself, from the truth.

TVA did bad things. But this was done by its leader. TVA is now deciding on changes to Timeline Protection! The people who work there change. Sylvie must understand that TVA is no longer an enemy, but a defender. This also applies to her trust issues.

"No one bad is ever truly bad, and no one good is every truly good".

This is character growth, this is her past, she has to accept it. This is also important, Loki, Mobius, B-15 and others are worried for her. They want to protect what she fought for so long. She must understand this. She taught Loki some things in Season 1, now it's her turn to learn from him.

I want to explain why I like it. The moment is very tense and sad, but that's because I can relate to Loki and Sylvie so well. I can feel what they both feel, and I think that's important.

Okay I did get distracted by a grade being posted and I am about to be both a nerd and a millennial but god ngl I do hate classes where you get full points on all your assignments but don't actually get any actual feedback on them. What is the point. If it's a class where everyone gets passing grades for making the effort but you get actual feedback and comments, that's great! But I would genuinely rather get points docked and get extensive comments on what I did well and what needed improvement and why than this.

#what is the POINT #like at that point it feels like busy work frankly! it doesn't feel like anyone's worrying about whether or not I learned something!#and like I can self reflect on my own learning. I'm good at that. that's fine. but a) not everyone can #and b) it REALLY does not help the perception that a degree is something you pay for but don't actually need to learn anything to get #which is a MASSIVE problem rn. there's no actual value placed on LEARNING THINGS.#like I know for a FACT that I have turned in B+ average assignments at best in this class.#just cuz I only have finite time and I gotta stay sane and it's not an area I'm going to go any further than surface level in.#the overview is good and important! but the work I'm doing is reflective of my investment and frankly it should've earned a B+ at most.#like at least if you're docking a point and telling me what for I know you READ the damn thing. christ alive.#you may ask yourself 'oh my god why are you like this' and the answer is. have you looked at my blog.#anyway. okay nOW I'm going to bed.
