Holy hell, y’all, tumblr finally figured out how to restore lost accounts and I have access again! It’s a miracle!!!

I have so completely decamped to sdwolfpup.tumblr.com at this point that I’m not going to come back to this, but I will use this opportunity to preserve this tumblr at least and may post some of the many things I had in my drafts to start clearing it out.

So. It appears that I have, through a series of extremely unfortunate events, gotten locked out of my tumblr account everywhere but on my phone app, and I cannot get back in for really dumb reasons. I’m going to keep at it, but prognosis looks grim.

I can’t just do tumblr from my phone. It’s impossible and some day I’m sure I’ll accidentally get logged out and then it’s all over. The app is terrible for posting any original content, anyway, or editing existing content, or really anything besides idle scrolling, which is the reason I had it at all. This all means I will need to sunset this account I’ve had for over a decade because @support won’t help me. (Thanks for that. I’d still love to figure something out - you have my ZenDesk ticket, gang, reach out any time.)

I am frustrated and upset at losing all that history and followers and access to my own damn content. Not to mention having to set up YET ANOTHER email address so I could set up this account. The shenanigans I have gone through already istg.

My favorite non-sense and probably not canon theory about Brienne’s mom was that she was related to the Reynes since we don’t know if Roger had kids. I like the idea of Brienne having a legacy from her mother’s side that she is re-claiming as well as being an heir to Tarth, Castamere, & a relative of the royal family. Plus, it would fit with Tywin’s legacy backfiring. The massacre he gained fame for wasn’t as successful as he thought and now that line will continue through his preferred heir.

(Cont.) Plus, it seems like a GRRM thing to do to have a family feud end in marriage and a sort of restorative moment. Also, it would further fit into Brienne being the YMB since she is also robbing Cersei of the idea of her father being this bloody, mighty lord that all feared and respected, except this is the second time enemy family members slipped past him. Ellyn tried to be a lasting Lady of the Rock and failed, so it would be the 2nd time Brienne’s ancestor had a failed love with Jaime’s ancestor.

I had this ask in my inbox I wanted to answer mostly because the idea of Brienne’s mom being a Reyne is so big brained I can’t even. I hope GRRM is out there somewhere listening.

JB Festive Fest Stocking Stuffers

The Stocking Stuffers collection is open!

FAQ

1. Who is allowed to participate?

Anyone! Writers, fan-artists, interpretive dancers and anyone else in between, you are all welcome to contribute a stocking stuffer to the festive fest. This also includes those who haven’t signed up for the exchange, for whatever reason!

2. Where are the prompts

The prompts are here, HOWEVER, keep in mind that everyone who joined the Festive Fest gave three vibes and three triggers/do not wants. Some are labelled clearly, but some are not, and I don’t want anyone cheerfully writing a fic for someone only to find out that it’s a big no-no for them. They’re all fairly obvious if you look at the two prompts each participant left, but if in doubt, please contact @slipsthrufingers​ and she will help you out.

3. Is this anonymous?

Nope! Once your gift is published, the recipient will know it’s you. The Stocking Stuffer exchange is open now, so if you really wanted to create something today and gift it, then you’re welcome to!

4. Is there a limit on how many gifts someone can give or receive?

Nope! If you want to fill a prompt for everyone, you can (though you’d be an absolute maniac). And if you notice someone has already received three gifts and you already have one prepared for them, then that’s fine. I will ask, though, that you try to spread the love around if you can! I want everyone to enjoy this silly season, so please consider trying to fill a prompt for someone who is yet to receive one.

5. When will the collection close?

Sometime in the New Year. I haven’t quite decided yet and it will depend on whether there are any people who haven’t received a gift in the main exchange.

6. How do I post my gift?

Click on the main collection page here and click the tab at the top that says ‘post to collection!’. From there you create your work as normal. Just make sure that you include the right recipient in the respective field so that they get the notification. You can gift to multiple recipients if you like!

7. Why were you born so beautiful, slips? Why were you born at all?

Because I had no say in it, no say in it at all.

A very chill reminder that the Jaime x Brienne Festive Fest exchange will open on the 25th AEST (this will be the 24th for a lot of folks)! You have from then until the 1st (though I will probably be a bit more chillaxed about this) to publish a Very Chill Fanwork to the collection. Please get in touch with @slipsthrufingers​ if you foresee any problems!

Also, I will be opening a second collection in the coming days probably today and making all the prompts public so that everyone who missed out on the chance to join, or wants to create something else for festive funsies can. Anyone will be able to publish a fic to this collection, even if you didn’t sign up for the exchange.
