Bonnie is one of the survivors of the feed store cruelty case, where the owner left 360+ animals without proper nutrition and medical care. He pled no contest to misdemeanor animal cruelty. Bonnie and her buddy Clyde have been integrated into our main flock. Bonnie likes pets and glaring at people.

Cleo saved the lives of 360 other animals. She was being mauled by other, larger piglets at a local feed store. We investigated and reported them. Several other individuals also reported the feed store. A welfare check found hundreds of neglected birds and almost all were confiscated. The owner ended up pleading no contest to misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Cleo's ears were so damaged, large parts of them had to be amputated. But look at her now! What a difference a few months of good care and love make!
If you see something happening to another animal or human that makes you uncomfortable, do something.

Rabbits need outside time and the freedom to run and move around. No bunny should spend their entire life inside a cage or a hutch. All of these rabbits were saved from the meat and vivisection industries. Oh yeah, and Monty Python was right. All the more reason to treat rabbits with respect.

Lucas lives at our rescue and adoption center and has been patiently waiting for a forever friend, since his bestie Gemini passed away. Enter Emma, a Boer goat mauled by dogs. She was rescued by an individual who wanted to help her but unfortunately Emma was a bit bossy with the other goats. Good thing Lucas doesn't mind being bossed around! Lucas wasn't able to integrate into our permanent sanctuary herd and because of his anxiety, we decided our Rescue Ranch facility would provide him the security he needs.

Jazzy (left) and Magnolia aren’t so sure about us meeting them way back in their pasture. They didn’t turn down the back and neck rubs from us, though.

Bertie was found tied up in a plastic bag in a park. In the meat industry, she is considered a “broiler” chicken, and would be killed at only 42 days old, while still a peeping chick.
Despite the cruelty she has and will continue to endure in her unnaturally large body, Bertie loves humans and will climb into your lap and let you pet her until she falls asleep.
