You’re at the bottom of the pit next to these famed men and women, only a noble secretary assistant to your elite boss. Feeling out of place, you quickly excuse yourself from the conversation your boss is currently in, sliding through party guests left and right to enter the bare living room.

Except it isn’t bare. It isn’t empty. You aren’t alone.

You let out a piercing scream at the sight below your feet.

The mansion owner is on the floor. Arms spread. Eyes closed. 

A slit on his throat and his stomach gushing blood.

15 minutes later, and you’re suddenly a detective. Eight suspects, downpours of evidence, a mansion full of liars.

Can you escape the Killer King?

This is an interactive series, with many choose-your-own-path options. You, along with the rest of the participants, will make a decision between the two choices laid out after each part. The majority vote wins. (Think of it like skz purge on Twitter!)

Because some participants do not have Tumblr accounts, and because some votes may not go into my inbox, you will vote through a Google form. If you are still not able to vote for any kind of reason, feel free to DM me or send me an ask.

[×] It all started small. Like a crush, or as friends.

That was a no-brainer. Minho started crushing on you ever since freshman in high school and it took him ages to admit it.

He remembered being so stubborn about it. It was stupid. He had vowed to never fall in love with anyone because of the mini people-hating phase he went through back then. His mentality to not fall in love was to keep up with the aloof, cold reputation he built up for himself.

It took Changbin a lot of mischievous teases, and finally, it was the charming smile Chan flashed you during lunch that sealed the deal for him. Something about Chan’s dimples and just his overall attractive demeanor irked him so much. Minho had no problem with Chan being literally the nicest person on Earth, but he would like it much better if Chan could go be nice to somebody else instead.

It is pretty ironic now that he thinks back to it because, despite the promises he made to himself, he still fell in love at the end. Not to mention it was during freshman year too.

[10:24 a.m]

“Welcome! …Oh, it’s you.”

“What do you mean, ‘oh, it’s you’? Aren’t you happy to see your best friend?”

“Are you skipping classes again, loser?” Your friend’s voice left his lips in a teasing tone as he brought his attention back to the display rack he was refilling, his comment made you raise your eyebrows and cross your arms against your chest. You had just entered a little convenience store not too far from university; since you didn’t have any morning classes you decided to go grab some snacks to eat later, but you ended up finding Chan, your best friend, on his shift that day. The store was empty, the distant sound of the radio playing some pop music was filling the whole place and you just walked around, somehow feeling like you were home since you always went to that store, and started grabbing some snacks, chips and a box of strawberry flavoured milk. Chan left an empty carton next to the cashier and got another one full of bags of chips to fill another display rack.

“So, how’s life?” You asked, looking at him as you left the few things you got on the counter by the register. He took his time to finish his task, exchanging a few words with you and he then checked what you were going to pay for.

“Strawberry milk, again?”

“Don’t judge the choices of a customer, Chan.” You jokingly said, pouting. 

He knew how much you loved strawberry flavoured milk, he would often get you a box whenever you felt sad, or whenever he wanted to ask you a favour. The two of you had known each other since you were children, you always ended up in the same class and grew closer and closer until you became best friends, feeling completely comfortable with each other’s presence, sharing so many memories you could literally write a book about it. You never expected friendships would last so long but there you were, now in your twenties, the both of you attending college and him even having a part-time job to save some more money for his little passion in music. You were really proud of how far the two of you had come, but you somehow reached a point where you couldn’t ignore a weird feeling that kept messing with your heart. You had always tried to keep it quiet and hidden, you had never wanted to ruin such a bright and precious friendship because of some lame feelings, so even if it meant you had to see Chan in a relationship with someone, you had to accept it. You had never talked about it with Chan and you probably were never going to, since you couldn’t break that huge sense of pride that had always accompanied you. Also, saying that you ‘fell in love with your best friend’ sounded so dumb, Chan would had never taken it seriously.

a/n: i deleted promises pt.1 when deleted my dad!skz series like an IDIOT so this is a stand alone scenario but you still get the gist

“Han Jisung, what the fuck is this?!” you exclaimed.

Jisung rolled his eyes, “my office.”

“It’s literally a shit dungeon,” you said, grimacing at all the food wrappers and bits of paper strewn about, on the side table, a collection of empty cans, “this can’t be a good place to work, Ji. How about I clean it, hmm?”

“How about you get the fuck out and don’t take control of my office like you have to rest of the house?!” Jisung yelled.

You looked at your husband, shocked.

“Jisung—“

“Get out,” Jisung sighed.

You swallowed a lump in your throat, leaving the room and walking straight to the living room where your daughter was sat.

“Haneul, you alright baby?” you asked the 5-year-old.

Haneul looked up at you with a smile and you smiled back, wiping away the tears that threatened to spill from your eyes.

“Daddy was very loud,” Haneul said.

You nodded, “and he said some not very nice words that you can’t repeat, okay?”

“Yes, mummy,” Haneul said, climbing onto your lap and cuddling into your torso.

“You’re adorable, baby,” you smiled, taking her hair out of her face, “gonna go to bed soon?”

Haneul nodded sleepily, paying more attention to the cartoons on the TV than your words.

You sighed, thinking of when you’d used to do this with your dad. He’d passed on only a year ago, and so the scar was still fresh and was still very much there. For the few months after your dad had died, Jisung had been the sweetest he’d ever been, taking care of Haneul and not even caring if you didn’t shower in days, understanding that grief needed time.

But like all good things, it came to an end. Another Stray Kids comeback approached, and Jisung’s work was put ahead. And now here you were. You’d barely seen Jisung in almost four weeks, he’d been in and out the house at god awful hours of the day, and even now, when Chan and Changbin got him to stay home, he didn’t leave his office.

“I want Daddy tonight,” Haneul said, resting her head on your shoulder, “I want him to sing to me.”

You smiled, “I’ll ask him, baby. Why don’t you go and get comfortable in bed?”

Haneul nodded, jumping off the sofa, excited at the thought of being put to bed by her dad.

“Jisung?” you called, knocking on the door.

“I said get out!” he shouted.

You sighed, holding back your anger, “your daughter would really appreciate it if you could go and say goodnight. That’s all.”

Jisung closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he surpressed his stress. Upon hearing your footsteps getting further away, he opened the door to his office and ran up the stairs, into his daughter’s room.

“Hey Haneul,” he smiled, “you all ready for bed?”

Haneul nodded, already snuggled into her blankets, her toy dog buried in the crook of her arm.

“Okay, well goodnight my love, sleep tight,” Jisung hummed, kissing her on the forehead and going to turn off the lights.

“Daddy, wait!” she whined.

He sighed, “you alright?”

“Can I play with your hair?” she asked, a strange habit she’d had ever since she was a baby.

Jisung paused, “just for a minute, okay? Daddy’s very busy at the moment.”

“I know,” Haneul said, carding her hands through Jisung’s dyed blonde hair, “you go to bed late, Daddy.”

Jisung nodded, chuckling slightly, “I do.”

“That’s not good. Cause– Cause then you can’t wake up and have a good day,” she said, nodding wisely, “that’s why you shout a lot.”

“I shout a lot?” he asked, genuine confusion on his face.

Haneul nodded innocently, “at mummy.”

Jisung opened his mouth to protest, but stopped himself. Without even meaning to, he’d let himself get so immersed in his work he’d been pushing away your attempts to try and help.

“You’re right,” he nodded, sighing in regret, “I do. I– You know I don’t mean it, right? I love Mummy more than anything.”

Haneul nodded.

“I love you too,” Jisung said, his voice quieter now, “you gonna sleep now?”

The five-year-old nodded, letting go of her dad’s hair as he lent down and gave her another kiss.

“I love you so much, Haneul-ah,” he smiled, “sleep tight.”

Haneul had already closed her eyes, drifting into sleep as Jisung flicked the light switch.

He sighed, walking back down into his office. The door was open and the main light was on. In confusion, he stuck his head round the door to see you. In one hand, you had a plastic bag and with the other you were cleaning out all the rubbish.

“Jisung!” you gasped, “I- I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have. But it’s just not healthy to work in somewhere like this. I’m sorry. I’ll g—”

“Oh my god,” Jisung whispered, “I’m really the worst person, aren’t I?”

You looked at him in confusion, your voice softer now, “what?”

“I’ve been treating you like shit when you’re just trying to help me,” Jisung sighed, walking forward and taking the stuff out your hands, pulling you into a hug, “I was about to put our daughter to bed in the shittest way possible before she protested. God, why didn’t you shout at me?! Tell me I was a dick?!”

“I knew you were stressed, Ji. Everyone gets stressed sometimes,” you said.

Jisung sighed, “thank you for being the best person ever. I– I love you more than you’ll ever know.”

You shook your head, pulling away and placing a hand on your husband’s cheek, “I know, Ji. Don’t worry.”

“I promised your dad I’d take care of you and Haneul and I promised him that I’d never do anything to hurt you,” Jisung said, “and I’ll keep that. I really will.”

Your eyes filled with tears as you pulled him back into your arms, “I love you, Jisung. I really do. I just wish you’d take care of yourself.”

Jisung’s arms tightened around your waist as a tear fell from his eye, “I know.”

You swallowed a lump in your throat, taking a breath as you pulled away, “shall we clean?”

Jisung smiled, nodding, “I think that’d be best.”
