Cold hands, cold skin, cold eyes

I just want to feel warm

like a sunny day in the afternoon

No, not like a sunny day,

more like the warm soup my mother used

to make me every time I was feeling sick

It used to warm me up inside and

make the feeling of sickness dissappear

"The secret ingredient is love" - she would say

Love - her cure for my every little wound

And here I am, wearing the shoes of a grown

woman, still craving the warmth of the soup

and the carelessness of a sunbathing bird.

And I wonder when did everything turn cold

How many tears flow in the process of growth? How much skin needs to be shed to complete the transformation? The clock is ticking, the hands are getting ahead of each other but it feels as if this clock is broken. Cell, tissue, organism - they eat each other. The walls are narrowing, there is no air in this room.

My soul is too wild for this little box. I just want to slide down the colored spiral, but the thread of reality is wrapped around my neck like a noose - if I fight against it, it tightens even more. There is no air in this room, in these lungs.

Here I am again alone in this room with no air. I can't speak but my thoughts are bullets.

A victim and a villain. Fragile as Lily of the valley, tough as a forest beast.
