I love the way you did his little face. It's so derpy it's cute. I truly think you did a great job, and you are not alone. I always feel a little relaxed when I'm making something cute even though my family will claim I have resting concentration face.

The gateway drug for me while doing that quilt hop with my Mom was these little addictive beauties:
42 squares of 2.5 inch precut fabric. (6.35 cm)
As a comparison, if you’re going to grab precut fabric “squares” for quilting you’re normally reaching for “fat quarters,” which are 18 x 22 inches. (~45 x 55 cm)
I saw those and I was all “Yes!!!! I can make quilts, end up with something an eighth of the size, and have an excuse to rely on hand sewing over the machine! [because i’m nuts that way…]”
The road to eternal torment, for me, is paved with miniatures you can balance on your finger and pretty fabrics….
