The Cactus siblings! Y’all ever say you love certain characters and then never draw them? I also have headcanons for the siblings:

Cactus Gunman’s name was Cereus and Cactus Girl’s name was Carmen. They are from Mexico (duh) and are Yaqui natives.

They arrived in 1911 after Gunman’s failed assassination attack on the dictator of their country. Gunman arrived at the hotel trying to hide from persecution, leaving Cactus Girl all by herself. She arrived at the hotel about six months later after trying to find Gunman. She doesn’t like talking about those six months where she was by herself.

Cactus Girl loves horses, and is fond of My Little Pony.

When they arrived at the hotel, Cactus Gunman felt relieved that Cactus Girl was able to experience some semblance of a childhood.

There is thirteen years between Cactus Gunman and Cactus Girl.

The rooms that the siblings live in are alive and have vines and flowers blooming on the walls and ceiling. Whenever Gunman gets a new crush for the week, he’ll pick some flowers off the walls to make a bouquet with.

Cactus Girl is in this friend group with the other kids in the hotel, but tries to fight over leadership with James.

Cactus Girl and Catherine have this relationship similar to an older sister/younger sister dynamic, and Catherine had been a “positive” female role mode for Cactus Girl.

Cactus Gunman dyed his hair blue one time and grew to like it.

Cactus Gunman’s first dream date is going on a picnic as the sun sets.

Cactus Gunman loves to serenade with a guitar but he is not good at playing it.

Cactus Girl has severe separation anxiety from those six months being by herself.

Cactus Gunman is actually a really good singer.

Dylan says Free Palestine! Because the children in Palestine deserve to go to bed to lullabies and bedtime stories tucked into bed with blankets to their favorite characters, not wake up under rubble because of air strikes and bombardment. The babies deserve to grow up and grow grey hair, not die after being alive for an hour. The mothers and fathers deserve to watch their children grow up, not watch them be buried. The young adults deserve to live their lives and film their adventures, not the genocide of their people. The families deserve to spend gatherings and celebrations in warm and safe home, not in a tent or on the street. The Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank deserve to live their lives like all of us.

Fight for the children, fight for the young people who had their lives take away, fight for the parents who have lost everything they had. Fight for Palestine!!!
