See one draw back about having so many non-binary friends is that when I gossip I can't go "girl, let me tell you -" and I can't go "*Girl*" / "*Boy*" with a slightly sarcastic and exasperated tone whenever they say something wack and I fumble every time

How can I be a chatty/snobby bitch while being respectful of gender identities? What are some good nb terms to use when my friends are being stupid or I have to tell them about work place drama

Percy's acts and perceptions of Loyalty

So I am watching the show and I KNOW Percy's fatal flaw is loyalty and I am just eating up (and writing down) all of the subtle hints to that as the episodes come out.

- Sure he's mad at Poseidon for neglecting him, but he is TWICE as pissed at Poseidon for abandoning Sally. "I don't care if he ignores me, but he can't just ignore you" and "Im gonna make him see us both"

- "You are Poseidon's son" "I'm Sally Jackson's son!"

- Percy wasn't going to accept the quest to the underworld UNTIL he heard about his mom. He ain't going for the gods. He's going for SALLY

- His absolute LACK of hesitation when picking Anabeth for the mission. Like I know it's cause he thinks they can't be friends but i also think it's cause she actually did help him at camp (in her own weird Anabeth way) and he respects that.

- The way he trusts Grover above everything, even despite what the Oracle said (I know the "friend" is Luke. But still.)

- in an odd, but similar vein he clocked Luke and Anabeth and said that he DIDN'T choose Luke because he thinks that Luke would be too Loyal to Anabeth and if she decided to stop Percy from his quest he thinks Luke would have helped her

-when he was arguing with Anabeth he told her to stop bringing Grover into this because "he's on my side. He's my protector"

- he trusts his mom's stories, which lead him to trusting Medusa.

- He was defending Anabeth when Medusa was bad mouthing her in the kitchen despite thinking they could never be friends

- Medusa ALMOST had Percy on her side by playing to his affection for Sally, but the MOMENT she suggested that he should betray Anabeth and Grover and insinuated that they would betray him he was like "Aight, gotta go"

- Percy understand the importance of motherly connection and immediately dropping the idea of burying the hat because it's important to Anabeth and then giving it back to her when he shipped the head

- "Medusa said she'd help me find my mom if I betrayed the the two of you" "and what did you say?" "I cut off her head"

- in the preview of the next episode he's seen moving Anabeth and Grover to safety before what looks like attempting to 1v1 the chimera.

I'm so normal about this. The perfectly normal neurotypical act of writing down every scrap of what I think is foreshadowing shall continue as more episodes come out.

Liara in Mass Effect 1: I am very quiet and not used to conversation with people. I prefer to be alone but perhaps being on a ship will allow me to get more accustomed to speaking with people. I am shy when it comes to speaking my mind and I worry how people will look at me due to my mother's actions.

Honestly the entire Mass Effect Trilogy is so unbelievably wild. It is a fantastical game with introspective story lines from various standpoints. It talks about how all of the choices we make - minor or small will end up affecting the world around us. It brings up the moral standpoint of forsaking being humane for the innovation and betterment of humanity. It talks about a parent will always affect the child - whether they are there or not. It talks about how doing something you thought was right in the past can absolutely be wrong and bite your ass in the future. It talks about family and love and loss and how grief can make a person do unspeakable things to themselves and others. But this is also the same series that looked us dead in our eyeballs and went "yeah this character has to have a medically designated boob window to help him breathe better"

Ever since I started being active on Tumblr again I have remembered why I stopped being active on Tumblr. My art posts dont get a lot of traction because its mostly original art, and since I've started posting again I've gotten 4, count em, FOUR messages from porn bots in my inbox. So the great purge of 2017 was HELLA useless.

That is not the point! My point is that it is so incredibly jarring to have a character with a set design for multiple seasons and then change it. Like I can get over him looking whiter than rice frozen to a paper plate in a snow storm and I will admit that sword and fashion is iconic but it's the fact that they changed his whole fuckin facial structure???? I mean they could have just kept the old facial structure and gave him a lighter pallet if he's meant to be that pale because he hasn't been in the sun in a while???

He looks like he's meant to be in a different anime compared to everyone else and it does not look right.
