I lurk through the Genshin tag every night in bed and there are a lot of x reader posts which is based as hell but like. What is the self aware au. I don’t get it at all. Like, okay so the characters know they’re in a game and can see the player specifically? But like, only YOU the player not the other thousands of people who play the game. And every character worships you like a god even though there ARE literal gods in the game and even they don’t get that kind of reverence.
A lot of it feels out of character to me and also it gets weirdly sexual weirdly fast. Not my cup of tea.

I'm so angry I hate how much I care about Scara. He is literally one of the best characters in the game. Turned to pure cruelty and spite after believing those he loved betrayed him. Only to learn centuries later is was all manipulated by the very people he used to work with. So in a spiral of self-loathing and impulse he tries to erase his existence from the world. There really is such a softness as Scara speaks when he meet him through Haypasia and when we meet him in the interlude quest.
And then we meet him in the altered world and he's just a wanderer. He never knew the kindness of family or companionship because those memories were erased. To his knowledge, he's just been wondering empty for his entire existence. Then he learns he has a past. He has connections. Some form of a heart. And even though that heart was evil, he longed for one so much he took it anyway. He took those memories and now exists as a mix of both The Balladeer and the Wanderer.
His personality is harsh, blunt, and and unforgiving. Yet there is still that softness before. He's an excellent cook. He likes to sew. He made a doll for himself to travel with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In many voice lines he reminiscences over the past, almost fondly. He moves forward knowing that his human family never betrayed him at all. He's bratty and loves to tease. Look at this!
Tumblr media
This is his sense of humor! And the genuine chuckle in his voice as he asks "wait, did you think I was being serious" is SO good.
I am not a long time Scara-fan. I was not waiting for his release since he appeared in the Unreconciled Stars event. I was not keeping up with his lore when Inazuma came out. AND YET HERE I AM sitting on the bandwagon adoring this absolute bastard of a man.
Tumblr media
Actually fucking fantastic. He did the fandango.

Name
Characters: Wanderer/Scaramouche Scenario: He asks about the new name you gave him. Notes: Spoilers for Interlude Chapter Act III! I hate how invested I am into this sadistic man - Mod Cake
Tumblr media
After successfully erasing himself from the world's history, the former Fatui harbinger now found himself with all the time in the world. His only goal is to take his revenge on The Doctor himself, but that is far out of reach for now. Since it seemed you'd remain in Sumeru for the time being, he took it upon himself to travel with you.
Now, it was late. For some stupid reason, you chose to sleep out in the wild instead of using the magical teapot realm with fully furnished homes, but who is he to judge? He sits on a log, watching the fire between the two of you. After a moment, he speaks.
"Traveler."
"Hm?" You look up, having been taking stock of supplied. "What's up, Niwa?"
"Why did you give me that name?"
Your face grew red. "O-Oh, I'm sorry! Do you not like it, or...?"
Folding his arms, Niwa sighed. "Tch. Don't answer my question with your own." Despite everything, his tongue was as sharp as ever. "I took it, didn't I?"
That...was a good point. Though he looked surprised at your suggestion back at the sanctuary, he raised no objections. After thinking for a moment, you noticed Niwa still glaring at you.
"Well?"
You explain your reasoning. Niwa was someone important to the puppet once known as Kunikuzushi. And once he learned that important person never betrayed him at all, the puppet tried to make things right. Even if it didn't work, and the Niwa who once befriended him was still killed tragically, the effort should be remembered.
"I thought it would be a nice way of honoring him. And to maybe give you another connection to him." You spoke with such an genuine smile, it made him sick to his stomach. The fact that it was genuine made it all the worse. Despite knowing all the atrocities he's committed as The Balladeer, you still find room in your heart to actually care.
"Hm." Niwa grunted, standing up and heading over to his cot. Not the first time he's slept outside before. And with your weird love of camping, it certainly wouldn't be the last.
"Is that alright?" You called, wanting to make sure you didn't offend him in any way. Sure, you'll call him names all day. Sometimes it seemed like you could barely stand to be around one another. But when it came to his personal history and the hurt he felt, you never wanted to trivialize that.
"Like I said-" Niwa spoke, laying down after removing his hat and turning away from you.
"-I took it, didn't I?"

Run Away
Characters: Beidou, Kazuha, Venti, Klee, Kaeya, Xiao
Scenario: For one reason or another, home does not feel like home. Despite the comfort of a familiar environment, it has become unhealthy for you. You want to leave, but are scared. Can someone give you the push you need? Or perhaps give you comfort to survive just a bit longer.
Notes: I was fantasizing about leaving a bad home life and going on some kind of adventure and this happened. Enjoy my self indulgent writing. - mod Cake
Tumblr media
Home was suffocating. It felt as if your life was going no where. Of course, it would eventually change, but that scared you even more.
How would you make money? Who would you work for? Where would you live? Despite the endless possibilities ahead, the future was unknown and terrifying.
One day, a ship came into port. The Alcor, head of the famous Crux fleet. And with it, it’s fearless captain - Beidou.
You somehow ended up getting to know her. And for a time, life at home was a bit more bearable. Occasionally you would tell your friend about your life, and she would comfort you when she could.
Being a pirate, however, Beidou would have to leave soon. When she mentions the date, your response is immediate.
“Can I come with you?”
She blinked, and you expected her to deny your request. After all, you aren’t a sailor. What could you provide to the crew? And yet, that was not the answer you heard.
“If that’s what you really want, sure.”
Blinking, you couldn’t believe it. There was an exit. All of a sudden you broke down, and you found yourself in the arms of the uncrowned lord of the sea.
Beidou would help you prepare. Packing your bags, telling everyone you knew goodbye. Your family was shocked, a little hurt, but Beidou promised them you’d be safe.
Finally, you stood on The Alcor, watching the port grow smaller and smaller. Until it vanished over the horizon.
Once again, tears fell from your eyes, curled up against the railing and sobbing. What was it you felt? Relief? Sadness? Guilt? No one, not even yourself, knew.
The crew was more welcoming than you expected. They all told you their stories, many of which were similar to yours, and they sang all night until they passed out.
It was comforting. You were still sad, but it suddenly felt like the unknowable future was a little less scary...
Tumblr media
Traveling the world has always been an attractive idea to you. Partly because of all the stories you read growing up.
The other part was due to the turbulent environment that was your home.
You had no marketable skills. At least, you didn’t think so. So you lived with your family. Even then it feels as if you’re the one taking care of them.
For the last couple of months, Kazuha has been in your town. You’ve grown close, and even invited him home for dinner a few times. It is in those times he could see how stifled your growth has become.
Kazuha brings it up on occasion, but you don’t want to talk about it. He respects that, but part of you wishes he would push the subject.
You want him to solve all your problems. But you realize that’s what your family does to you. It isn’t fair.
Sitting under a tree, watching the sunset, Kazuha speaks up. An idea that takes your breath away from shock.
“Why don’t you travel with me?”
Staring, you search for any hint of sarcasm. There was none, of course though. He’s serious.
“I cannot promise it will always be comfortable, but moments like this...” He watches the sun vanish behind the horizon. “...they will always be here to set the heart at ease.”
“What about my family...?” You mutter, concerned. Kazuha didn’t have that stress when he left his homeland.
“Your concern for their feelings is admirable. However, this is your choice, Y/n. Not theirs.”
The weight of his statement settled in, and you just stared at the darkening sky.
“Yeah...” You mutter. “Okay...”
Tumblr media
Just packing up and traveling the world is not as easy as one would think. You have to prepare to survive. To travel. Find food. Find shelter.
Home no longer feels like home. Your physical health was never in danger. Yet emotionally, every day was a struggle.
Sometimes you would wonder out to Windrise. Sometimes you were tempted to stay there. But you can’t survive in the wild. Not to mention it would break your family’s heart if you just vanished...
“Seems my faithful disciple is longing for freedom.” A voice rang with a strum of a lyre. Looking up, you saw Venti the bard, aka Mondstadt’s own anemo archon, Barbados. He jumped from the branch of the large tree and floated down to where you sat.
“What troubles you, dearest?” His voice was as airy as the wind he held domain over.
Your thoughts are jumbled, hard to make sense off. They’re full of conflicting feelings and dead ends. Yet, Venti listens all the same. Never speaking a word of judgement.
“When it comes to interpersonal troubles, I’m afraid I’m not much help...” Venti speaks when you are done. “The most I can offer is a shoulder to lean on and a song.”
You nod, smiling sadly. That wouldn’t fix your problems, but for now...it sounded like enough. Leaning closer, your head rested against his chest. You felt a chuckle rumble as the bard began to sing.
Calm washed over you. Everything was still so confusing, but you found solace in this single moment. A friend. That’s what you needed to get through this.
Tumblr media
On occasion, you would find yourself playing with the famous (or infamous) Spark Knight.
But today, she finds you in a very bad place. You left the house after your mother started shouting, and you needed to be alone.
“Hey, Y/n? What’s wrong?” The girl asked. “You don’t look so good? Are you sad?”
There’s no way you could explain everything going on. Such complex feelings aren’t for a child her age (even if you felt like this when you were her age as well). So you simply nodded. “Yeah...I’m sad.”
“Is it something I can blow up for y-” “No! No, no it’s not that kind of problem!”
Klee sat down with you, looking up with her big, round eyes. “Whenever I’m upset, Big Brother Albedo says he’ll listen to me. He listens, and then I feel better!” She smiled. “If you need to talk, then you can talk to me.”
“Thank you, Klee...” Pause. “I’m...not very happy at home. But it’s the only home I have.”
The little girl frowned, and it seemed she was thinking hard as to how to help. Eventually, she jumped up. “Let’s run away, then!”
“What??” Oh god this could be bad.
“You don’t like your home, so how about we make our own home! I know just the spot!” Taking your hand, she drags you outside the city gates. Eventually, she stopped in a small clearing in the woods.
“This can be our home!” She exclaims with arms spread out. “Over here is the kitchen...” She points to a pile of rocks. “And that can be the bedroom!” A pile of leaves. “And, and we can do whatever we want here! And there’s no bad stuff allowed.”
The child’s earnest effort brought a smile to your face. “Yeah... I like this.”
For the rest of the day, you played ‘house’ with Klee. When the sun started to set, you walked back to the city together, hand and hand. She waves goodbye as she enters the Favonius HQ, and you left feeling a bit lighter than before.
Tumblr media
Living in Springvale was peaceful. And yet, there was no peace within your heart.
You’re still trying to get on your feet, living with your family for the time being. And yet, it feels suffocating. They argue, shout, get mad at the smallest of things. It’s draining.
More than anything you want to leave, but your conscience won’t let you. Leaving your family would break their hearts, and actually taking that leap of independence is paralyzing.
Angel’s Share was practically your home at this point. You never got drunk, but a few drinks were nice. It was there you met the Calvary Captain years ago.
Somehow the two of you became good drinking buddies, and close friends. You’ve had to help him back home several times in the past.
So tonight, when you seem especially troubled, he asks what’s on your mind. After explaining how you feel, Kaeya leans against the counter, palm in his hand as he looks at you.
“How’s about the run away together?”
You nearly choke at his suggestion. “W-What?!”
“Think about it. It would be a rather romantic way to vanish, would it not? Besides, your main concern seems to be supporting yourself. I know my way around both the wilderness and the underbelly of society, so survival is no question. We could thrive, in fact. Create our own nation, even!”
The suggestion was audacious, and you knew it was just him teasing. And yet, part of you couldn’t help but long for something like that... Kaeya could see it in your eyes.
“If you needed help, you should have asked.” His tone is slightly more serious. “Home is meant to be somewhere you feel safe. If you don’t feel safe, it isn’t home.”
Your eyes widened. It isn’t home. Turning away in embarrassment, you felt tears come to the surface. Kaeya speaks again, his voice sounding closer.
“That’s what you needed, isn’t it? Someone else telling you it’s okay to feel the way you do?”
Nodding, you just hid your face. The bar was quiet, something you were thankful for. Kaeya asked the bartender for a glass of water, handing it to you. After a while, you were able to calm down.
“Were you serious about running away together...?” You asked quietly.
Kaeya smirked. “If you want me to be.”
Tumblr media
You have met the guardian yaksha many times before. Once you found out where he “lived”, you would visit Wangshu Inn often. He tolerated your presence.
Verr Goldet tells you that while Xiao would never admit it, he always seems a bit happier after running into you.
One day, you went to the inn. What was unusual is the fact you actually checked into a room. Verr Goldet asked where you were going, but you avoided the question.
Going to the balcony at night, you rested on the railing and simply sighed. Your secret wish came true, as you heard a voice speak beside you.
“This is an unusual time for you to come.” Xiao says. You make no response, and he glances over. “You are running from something.”
The way your body tenses tells him he’s correct. He huffs, simply folding his arms and looking forward. But he did not seem mad. In fact, it seemed to be an invitation for you to speak.
“I... Home is bad.” You admit. “I love my family, but...but I hate being with them. I’m stressed and upset and it feels like nothing I do is good enough...” All of it spills out before you even realize. Xiao is a good listener.
“If you are unhappy there, you should not return.” He states bluntly.
“But I love them...” You respond. “That would break their hearts!”
“They are harming you, are they not?”
Your mouth opened, but you had nothing to say. Frowning, you just...deflated. You stared out at the marshes of Liyue, counting the lights coming from campfires, house lights, and more.
“Human relationships make things more complicated than they need to be.” He speaks. “If those relationships bring you sorrow, you should cut them off.”
“But...” You looked at him, and he stared back. You found no retort. Sighing, you looked down. “I’m scared...”
“You’ve already taken the first step.” Xiao turned, walking towards the stairs. “Verr Goldet can provide more assistance than I on this matter. If you need my help, call my name.” And like that, he vanished.
He...was right, in a way. More right than you wanted to admit to yourself. So before bed, you talked to the innkeeper, and started making a plan.

Memories of First Life
This is platonic, obviously. I just adore my little zombie bby and I think she deserves more spotlight. - mod Cake
Tumblr media
You’ve known Qiqi for a while, and it seems like she trusts you. In fact, she seems to favor your company more than Dr. Baizhu. The man himself sees no problem with this, and seems genuinely happy she’s been able to make a friend.
From day one you knew she was a zombie. Which meant she was once a living person, but now dead. How was she brought back to life? Did she even remember what happened?
Finally, you asked. While sitting just on the side of the road feeding birds, you asked what she remembered about her previous life. If she remembered at all.
It took the girl a long time to respond. For a while she stared blankly at the finches before her. At one point you were worried she was stuck on some kind of order. But before you could stand to cancel, she spoke.
“Qiqi has been gathering herbs for a long time. One day...my leg hurt. So I hid. But then everything hurt. It was cold. And then it didn’t hurt anymore.”
She stared forward still, reaching into her bag of seed and tossing more out to the birds. You, meanwhile, reeled with what she just told you. That was her death. The cold...must have been her vision appearing.
“Then-” Qiqi began again. “-I was awake. It didn’t hurt anymore, but something felt bad. I fell asleep. Then I woke up. Then I went to pick herbs. And...I met Dr. Baizhu.”
She turned to look at you, her expression has neutral as it normally was. “The end.”
You just...stared. Your lip quivered slightly even. You will never know all the details about this child’s death, but what she told you was more than enough.
Qiqi tilted her head. “Are you...okay?” She asked, grabbing the fabric of your clothes with a cold, tiny hand.
“Are you...?” You asked, tears welling up even as you tried to hold them back. Qiqi blinked, then paused for a moment.
“Yes.” There was a bit more spirit in her answer this time. “Thinking is hard. But I think...this second chance is good. I am very happy. Because I am a zombie, I can protect people. I can sit and watch the finches. I can sit here with you. My...friend.”
The tiniest smile appeared on her stiff face. Nodding, you just pulled her close, hugging her tight. She hugged back.
“Mm...” She hummed. “Good warmth...not rotten...”
“Yeah... I’m glad.”

the sibling talk
feat. Childe, Ayaka, Kaeya, Ayato
Tumblr media
CHILDE
When Childe said his sibling wanted to meet you, you were expecting one of his older siblings to interrogate you. But to your surprise, it was Teucer who insisted on meeting you.
“You’re dating my big brother, right?” Teucer asks, staring at you with eager eyes.
“Yup, I am!” you answer, your enthusiasm was enough to cause Childe to sport a bright blush.
“And you like him a lot?” Teucer asks once again, and your heart nearly bursts at how adorable he is.
“Yes, I like your big brother a lot. So much!” you giggle.
Teucer studies your expression for a moment before letting relief wash over him. The little boy motions you to kneel down to his level. He cups your ears so his older brother won’t hear his words.
“Please don’t break up with him. I think he likes you a lot too. Like a lot a lot,” Teucer’s words were so innocent yet so earnest. You saw it in his eyes that he truly meant everything he said. You didn’t think anyone could be more adorable than your own boyfriend, yet his own little brother was proving you wrong.
“I promise,” you reassure Teucer, holding out your pinky for him.
Teucer fulfills your pinky promise, sighing in relief that you’d honor his wishes.
For now, the two of you keep it a secret from Childe. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, of course.

Isekai AU! Started writing this a while ago and only just now finished. Scenario: You’ve completed the Monstadt story and are now on the way to Liyue Harbor. But you are a normal person and very scared, so you take a break at Wangshu Inn, and get some help along the way.
Collapsing onto the bed, you were given a moment of rest in Wangshu inn. Luckily you were able to take on the elements just like the traveler does in the game, leaving you to wonder if maybe you’re the traveler in this version of Teyvat. Anemo and Geo were now both under your command. But unlike the traveler, you didn’t have Paimon to help you understand these powers.
Anemo was easy enough, having the god of said element teaching you personally, but the city of Liyue Harbor was still a ways to go. Not to mention, with Zhongli planning to fake his own death as Rex Lapis, you doubt the Lord of Geo will have much time to tutor you. Knowing what’s about to happen and the battles you’ll have to face...it’s a lot.
With a frustrated groan, you sat up. Laying here lamenting at your situation would do nothing! Not only that, but there was a chance to make an ally in Liyue.
It was quiet at this time of night, and you made your way to the highest balcony. You saw no one there. Frowning, you swallowed hard, trying to find courage to actually speak his name.
Xiao. Having him on your side would be a boon to say the least. But his personality, especially towards strangers and mortals, was rather sharp. Frustrated, you tried to work up the courage, until-
“What are you doing here?”
A familiar, gruff voice spoke from behind, and you turned to see the golden eyes of the adeptus staring at you. Slightly narrow, he scans your form.
“Xiao!” You shout, surprised, excited, flustered, everything. A brow raises on the man’s face, curious as to how you know his name. But he brushes it off. You probably read any number of old stories.
“Keep your distance, mortal.” He walks past you, resting his hands on the banister of the balcony.
“N-No, I actually really need your help!” You assure him. “I just...please, listen...please? I’ll get you almond tofu later. I just...” There was a tremble in your voice, one you tried to suppress. All the same the yaksha examined you closely.
“Speak.”
Looking up, your eyes lit up. “O-Okay, okay um...where to begin...”
You started explaining as simply as possible. You’re from another world, where Tevyat is simply a story. One you love. And somehow you ended up in the place of it’s original protagonist. You are no warrior. You are no hero. You are an ordinary person, early in your life, and now you fear it is over. You’re in this world now, and you don’t know what to do.
Xiao was silent for a time. You were scared that he wouldn’t believe you, but seeing as he listened to the whole story, you hoped it was because he did believe you.
“I’m...scared.” You admitted. “I...have some scary fights coming up ahead... Fights I don’t think I’ll be able to avoid. And I just...need someone on my side, I guess...”
There was a soft hum that came from the deceptively young looking adeptus. Looking up, his gaze was set on the moon in the sky.
“Does the name ‘Xiao’ mean anything to you?” He asks. Blinking, you were thrown for a loop.
“That’s...your name...” You nodded. Another pause.
“This name was given to me. I was told it comes from another world... It’s the name of a spirit who encountered great hardship. Are you familiar with it?”
There was a slight panic in your mind. You skimmed Wikipedia about the Xiao spirit before, but nothing substantial. You shook your head. “Sorry, no...”
“Hm.” His gaze shifted. With a sigh, his spear was summoned. “I have a job to do. If you are ever in danger, speak my name. I will appear.” And like that, he vanished.
That went...much better than you expected, honestly. In the end, you did get his seal of approval. Maybe he can give you more combat lessons. With the weight on your heart now ever so slightly lighter, you went back to your room, and curled up in bed.

hi! may i request ei taking care of her s/o who has a high fever? i don't think she can get sick so maybe her cuddling by readers side? have a nice day!
Tumblr media
While staying in Inazuma, you had fallen ill. Typically this was nothing serious, but at the moment you felt like death.
You were staying at the Kamisato estate until you got better. Mainly because they forced you to stay and you didn't have the strength to fight back. Still, word eventually reached the Raiden Shogun, and in concern, she took the time to visit.
Laying in bed, Thoma knocked on the door. "Y/n? You, uh, have a visitor." He sounded a little nervous. Why? Rolling over, you saw none other than the electro archon herself.
"Ei..." You muttered. She thanked Thoma, who bowed and closed the door. Ei walked over to you, kneeling by your side.
"Y/n, how are you feeling?" There was something nervous in her tone and expression.
"Terrible..." You muttered into your pillow, curling up. "Everything hurts..."
"If you require...I could get you the best doctor in the nation." She offered. You mumbled a bit, telling her it's alright. Thoma's been an amazing nurse, and Ayato already made the same offer. Right now, all you need is rest.
Frowning, Ei went silent for a moment. An ache shot through your spine and you moaned, curling up and reaching for your friend's hand. She blinked, pulling you close. You head rested in her lap, blankets now only covering your legs.
"For all my skills and strength, I am powerless to help you now." Ei lamented, hesitating only for a moment before beginning to stroke your hair gently.
"You're helping..." You muttered, looking up at the other. "This is nice..." She could feel the heat radiating from your skin. Moral life is so fragile...
Ei watched as your breaths slowed, and you fell asleep once more. She could not find it in her heart to leave, so for now, she stays with you in this moment.
Meanwhile, the entire staff of the Kamisato estate is freaking out.

Oh my. No one's been giving you requests. Ooh, that sucks. Let's see...
Maybe a modern day kind of reincarnation soul mate piece? Like Zhongli/Morax's soulmate was killed during the Archon Wars and then reborn into 2000 years later in the present? Like Reader goes to Liyue after hearing that Rex Lapis is dead?
I hope by "modern" day you mean the time frame of the game! I don't normally do soulmate stuff but I can have a little fun with this~ mod Cake
Tumblr media
You were a completely average person, all things considered. Though you haven't been granted a vision, you felt a connection with the earth all around you.
Mythology was something you were fascinated with, so you practically memorized all the old stories about the archons. Despite not growing up in Liyue, you felt a strange connection to Rex Lapis, god of contracts.
So when you heard of his passing, something resonated within you. It felt like losing something you never actually knew. Still, you felt the need to go and pay your respects to the fallen deity.
On your way to Liyue, news of Osial's resurrection and subsequent defeat by mortal and adepti alike reached you. That was good, at the very least. It seemed that Liyue would continue to thrive, even without it's archon.
With the ship docked, you stepped into the land of contracts. Liyue Harbor was a bustling city of business and culture, and you were a little overwhelmed, in all honesty.
You eventually ran into a man by the name of Zhongli. There was a moment where it felt like he was looking right through you, but then he acted like nothing was strange.
"You seem lost. Are you new to the city?" His voice was deep, friendly, and familiar.
You explained to him the purpose of your journey. There was a subtle change in his expression. It felt almost...sad? Nostalgic, maybe. Sympathetic? It was hard to read.
He lead you up to Yujing Terrace, to the site Rex Lapis fell. There was some incense in the middle. Having brought your own, you went over and offered a small prayer.
"A compassionate heart, you have." You heard your new companion speak. You explained your reasoning, your fascination with the supernatural and a strange connection to Morax.
"I see..." There was a fond smile, before the man offered to show you around the harbor. Naturally, you said yes.

Happy Birthday Xiao!
Tumblr media
You asked Xiao over and over for him to tell you when his birthday is-, but you would never get an answer. Finally, you gave up and went to Zhongli.
The old god tells you that Xiao does not see his day of birth as anything worth celebrating, and he does not like to be reminded of it. However, if it’s you, he’s sure Xiao won’t mind.
You don’t have a lot of time to plan, but you use what time you do have to it’s fullest.
The day comes. You asked Xiao to meet you on that day. He thought nothing of it, since there was no way that you could have known.
Surprise. You knew. You greeted him on the balcony with balloons, a cupcake with a candle, and some almond tofu, since you knew he would prefer that.
He’s flustered, unsure of what even to do. First thing he asks is how you found out. “Zhongli told me” You said.
And just like that, Xiao considers blasphemy against his savior for a moment.
As you talked, he felt blood rush to his face. This was too much. “I don’t have time for this-” He turned to leave, but you grabbed his wrist.
“Wait-!” You could feel his gaze searing into you. Biting your lip, you let go and went over to the table where you had the almond tofu, as well as a present. “At least...eat this...”
Now you sat at the table, fidgeting slightly as the adeptus ate the dish you made. Finally, you slide the wrapped item over. “Here...”
He raised a brow, putting down his spoon, Xiao carefully unwrapped the paper to reveal a charm. A carving of a small bird.
“You gave me a good luck charm for my birthday! And I wanted to do something for you. It doesn’t have adeptus power imbued or anything...but I hope you like it.”
His expression was as unreadable as always, but his fingers delicately ran across the curves of the wood. Down to the connected tassel, lightly ruffling in the breeze.
Seemingly deep in thought, you were worried that he didn’t like it. But without saying much, he moved to attach the charm on his belt. Along side his mask and other ancient items, was your small, hand crafted charm.
“Thank you, y/n.” He spoke quietly, going back to eating.
A smile grew on your face. “Glad you like it!” You beamed, unwrapping the cupcake that ended up being for you, as you thought.
Xiao glanced away, something you didn’t think much of. But to him, you shined so brightly. So warmly. He wondered if he deserved to be with you like this? For now, as a gift to himself, he’ll be a little selfish...

Reminder that while I typically write the reader in PLACE of the Traveler, these writings are SELF INSERT!! Using the Traveler is just a starting point for why characters even meet in the first place. - mod cake

Can we also add Albedo to the tending to sick traveler who deliriously mistaken a them to being their missing sibling? Crap I can’t believe that I forgot about him🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Raven and I will probs split up the first one to make sure the post isn't too long, as well as pick the ones we write well. But this one I can do on it's own~

You had been pushing yourself too hard. Fighting in the rain, working past your limits. It ended in you collapsing while taking a commission in Dragonspine.
Paimon was in panic, flying to Albedo's camp and praying to the archons that he was there. Thankfully, he was, and the two rushed back to you. Albedo gasped when he saw your weak form.
"Y/n, hold on!" He picked you up, rushing down the mountain. You were burning up, face red and eyes glassy. As you stared up at your savior, though, you didn't see Albedo. You saw your lost sibling...
"Hey..." You muttered, weakly reaching for the other, your hands grabbing his sash. "Why...why did you...leave...?"
Albedo glanced down, realizing you were delusional. "I'm not leaving now." He replied, sliding down the snow to get to the camp at the base of the mountain.
Once there, a crowd formed. Everyone was concerned. A carriage was quickly assembled, and you were rushed back to the city. Albedo never once leaving your side.
In the Favonius HQ, you rested in bed. Panting, whining, wanting your sibling to return...
Albedo sat beside you. After Barbra visited, he promised to keep watch. In your current state, if would be dangerous if you tried getting up.
Placing a wet cloth on your forehead, you glanced over, weakly smiling. “Hey...” Your hand reached forward. “Let’s...l-let’s go....home...” Your hand fell before reaching Albedo.
Softly, he too that hand into his own, thumb massaging the back gently.
“Of course...” The chalk prince mutters fondly. “We will go home together...but for now, rest...”
