Hi! Seeing your Sample Backgrounds has inspired me to create one of my own, and I have a couple of questions about using The Homebrewery:

1. How do you create the tables for Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws? When I clicked on the "Add Table" option, the resultant table only had 5 rows, and I couldn't figure out how to expand it.

2. I see that there is an option to save your creation as a PDF, but how do you get it to save as an image like you do?

Hi! I'm glad you found inspiration in my work!

1. You can add more rows to the table by adding more "| | |" at the bottom. Just type the text between the | |'s.

2. As far as I know Homebrewery indeed doesn't have an option to save as a png right away. What I do is I download the pdf, and then put it in this converter. It should give you a zip file with every page as 1 image.

Random roll table: 1 kofi for every 10 options (or 2 for more complicated topics)

(magic) item: 2 kofi

Spell: 2 kofi

(Sub)race: 3 kofi

Background: 3 kofi

Subclass: 5 kofi

Class: 8 kofi (+4 kofi for each additional subclass)

Hiya! Recently stumbled across your blog and absolutely adore your work. I’m playing a Mercer Gunslinger in an upcoming campaign, and I’ve especially loved your Upgrade and Gun Champion homebrews - here’s hoping some more gunslinger inspiration strikes sometime soon! Keep up the great work ^^

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy them! As someone who's playing a gunslinger himself right now, I felt making those homebrews (especially the gun upgrade one. I feel like the gun champion might need revision) was interesting and important, as gunslingers don't usually get many new weapons in game (unless you're playing in a setting where firearms are common). Ngl, I hope more inspiration strikes soon too. It's been a while since I homebrewed anything.

How would you go about the sylvan halflings elven parent being a wood elf? Like how would that affect their abilities?

Most of the half-races where one parent has subraces are geared towards being an average of the race. So, for example, the elven side in the sylvan halflings is supposed to be an average of elf subraces.

That said, if you want to make it more wood elf, you could, for example, exchange the proficiency in persuasion checks for a proficiency in insight (as wood elves get a wisdom bonus). Or, you could exchange the Quick Reflexes skill for a base speed of 35 feet. 

 Or you could do anything else, of course! I am not the authority on this. If you're a DM, you know best what fits your game. If you're a player, I suggest asking your DM what they think is the best option. Like I said, most half-races are meant to be an average of both parent races, so they don't take subraces into account. What you do with them is up to you!
