To get this stalking ass monkey out of her ass, he only now knew it after that mission) so yeah, he's back, annoying, clingy, and prob will apologize until she forgets what he... done. To her, But! First of all, why do you even hate Wukong. I know he's popular in the fandom, but I've met more Wukong haters than lovers, and the excuse is always "he's a horrible mentor."

Wukong might have lied a few times, but he's an idiot. He lied to keep MK and his friends safe, because he thinks he can handle it. You can literally see it in the show; him not wanting to tell MK about the Bone Demon, him unintentionally keeping the fourth ring a secret hoping there was a safer method to release it.

I don't know who's this 'abusive' Tripitaka you guys refer to, because it sure as hell isn't the one I know.

Firstly, they don't imply he is abusive in the show either. I still don't know where that came from, but I've seen people say "well, obviously we don't mean the book version we mean another version." I personally, haven't consumed other JTTW media, so if he is portrayed as abusive, then...wowzies.

But book Tripitaka and LMK Tripitaka aren't abusive, he wouldn't use the circlet to hurt Wukong for something silly as 'spending time with his partner 🥺🥺", like stfu already.

I've rewatched s4 repeatedly since it was released, and not once I've seen it implied he was a piece of shit to Wukong. The show definitely have changed some things, but Tripitaka being a prick isn't one of them for sure.

And JTTW Tripitaka, again, wasn't an abusive piece of shit either. I've read the book and spoilers; if you gave him a chance he'd cry over a fucking bug. That's how much pathetic weak cat energy he gives off.

Yes, there is no denying he used the circlet on JTTW Wukong, but to be fair, Wukong wasn't exactly the same LMK Wukong you guys know. He was insufferable and out of control, and may I remind y'all Tripitaka is a human who's just trying to get some scrolls. The only other time was when Baijie thought it was funny to make Tripitaka use the circlet, but in that same arc he promised to never use it again, and he didn't.

As a matter of fact, the one time he uses the circlet again was when Macaque showed up, and that was pretty much it.

And since you guys might try to defend yourselves with saying, "but JTTW and LMK aren't the same-" you're right they aren't. LMK is taking a different approach from the book, that much is very obvious when I started watching it.

But you guys sure as hell seem to like using it in certain arguments, especially when saying Tripitaka is abusive, using EXAMPLES of the book to show your point, so I'm also using examples from the book too to show that Macaque is a fucking piece of shit that ate the little monkeys on Flower Fruit Mountain.

Again, even if you're trying to say they're different, there's still no denying that Macaque is a piece of shit. Don't get me wrong, he's an interesting character, but some of y'all need to chill and stop making this guy an uwu emo baby when he's just as crappy

You guys need to stop mischaracterizing these characters, please. Just say you don't understand them instead of placing them in these stereotypes.

Wukong isn't a shitty, selfish mentor. He's trying his best, and it's proven time and time again he'd do anything for MK.

Macaque isn't some innocent good guy that was murdered by his ex best friend for no reason. He very obviously tried to hurt people that Wukong and even MK cared about before 'turning over a new leaf.' He is just as responsible for MK's trauma just as LBD and the other villains, and Wukong had every right to kill him. I stand by my statement.

And no, Tripitaka isn't an abusive asshole who demands Wukong to be with him every second. He's not going to hurt him in a fanfic if he has a partner. He's a crybaby and a human who's scared of being hurt by demons that want to eat him or fuck him for immortality. It wasn't his idea to put a fucking circlet on Wukong to begin with either.
