Should my path be blocked by thorns, bandits, beasts, weeds, hills, ravines, and fire, I will still go forward. What good is a life without scars to tell story’s about? What story is worth telling without a bit of struggle?
I plan to fall. I plan to be pushed down. I plan to trip and make mistakes. Sometimes it may take me a while, but I will always stand back up and continue to step forward, pausing only to tell the stories of those bruises and scars.
He entered my life like a whirlwind; suddenly and with great excitement. Then, he tore me apart like a tornado; flipping my world upside down and inside out. Finally, he left like summer rain; warm and cold, heavy and light, intense then softly carried on the wind.
We crossed paths many times and though I never looked you in the eye, I felt close to you. Now, I’m sorry to depart first. I’m sorry to leave you alone.
I like that idea (and the way it kind of validates what I thought) but what if it's just life force that they're taking in?
Vampirism tends to be more like a curse than anything else, and curses run on energy, right? They have to have power to be sustained. So really what they're doing is feeding a curse the life and energy of other people in order to keep them alive. The "hunger" that they feel would be because the life and energy inside them is actually being consumed by the curse, urging them to go out and get more.
Idk. I really just need to not read books, or watch movies about vampires when I haven't slept... or in general. 😅
I want to start this by saying: I haven’t slept in more than 60 hours and my brain function is a little screwy, so I may be totally off base here but…
There are a lot of vampire novels out there, but fairly few of them actually say why vampires drink blood. Well, I was just thinking about why exactly vampires would need fresh blood. They’ve got the anatomy of a human, but their hearts don’t beat. That doesn’t mean they’d need blood though. But, if their hearts aren’t beating, then their brains are not getting oxygen. Brains need oxygen to function.
Maybe they drink human blood because it’s already oxygenated?
Okay, so I suck at sleeping. Falling asleep, staying asleep, having a sleep schedule... It's all a big mess of "Not happenin'" especially this week. I have had a total of 8 hours of sleep for the last 6 days, with last night having achieved zero hours.
So when I was scrolling through my Tumblr feed, I found myself laughing at a joke that wasn't a joke at all, but actually two separate posts. To make matters worse, it wouldn't even make sense if it were a joke, but I laughed anyway.
