Mission Accomplished! This Workshop is clean… kinda… I had to fully replace the fluorescent lights completely and decided to spend the extra money and get adjustable LED lights… I also discovered that my Shop Stereo had played its last tune… sad since I’ve had that for over 15 years from my army days, but that’s not too bad considering I think I bought it for $30 back in the day at Walmart or the PX… I replaced that with another incredibly cheap stereo but this one has Bluetooth :) All of the tools, clamps, etc… are all safely back in their homes and I have the new shop vac (my old one +20 year old had gone up to the big Hoover factory in the sky) is out and working like a champ. I think I’m going to need to look into creating some sort of modular saw dust collection system in the near future to prevent the shop from ever becoming that messy again… next up, I think to commemorate the fixing of the shop I need to redo the Shop Sign out front… it’s barely legible anymore and doesn’t really fit the shop philosophy anymore… more to come on that… stay tuned. #workshop #workshops #mancave #woodworking #woodshop #makerspace #craftroom #workshoporganization https://www.instagram.com/p/CgapC8MO66g/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Okay… not too proud of this picture but this is my workshop… for the past year I have been staying in my studio and avoiding it like the plague… it’s not that I don’t appreciate it, but the lights blew and had only one barely working fluorescent bulb, and no it wasn’t the bulbs I wasted money replacing them… on top of that the shop had become so cluttered and then messy after a major project that I rushed to finish I never cleaned and knew I had a daunting task ahead… well today I decided to face the demon I created and to spend the whole day returning my beloved shop back into a semi functional workspace… more to come on that… I need a serious shower and bed. #workshop #craftspace #mess #craftroomorganization #carpentry #woodworking #project #diy #makerspace https://www.instagram.com/p/CgYjzxku1C4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Doing some prototyping in the studio… I borrowed a Holly Carburetor from one of my Dad’s associates and scanned it with my new 3d laser scanner and then after some digital clean up and rendering I 3d printed the models at a fraction of the original scale as a test… the goal being to render these highly detailed models at 1/18 and 1/24 & 1/25 scale for car modeling… I will also be using this technology to build 3d printable DnD terrain in the future, but I needed a test subject.
