I have very specific headcanons for Cedar's sexuality and they mean a lot to me and i want to share.
So at some point in one of the books, (i dont remember which and i dont have them with me to reference. yay moving) we see Cedar's life outside of school and her friends and family and town and everything and we see the Blue Fairy who enchanted both her and her father to life.
She talks with the blue fairy about her emotions and how she feels they're ridiculous because she's not actually real, she can't feel real emotions, they're just magic. The blue fairy tells her something along the lines that even if they're made by magic, that doesn't make them any less real.
I view Cedar as being asexual-aromantic. Partially because people like to say that humans are sexual in nature. That something must be wrong with you to not have sexual or romantic feelings.
I feel like Cedar would have that view of herself. Saying that yea, she doesn't like anyone in a romantic sense but when she becomes a real girl, then she will.
But then she does become real. And she breathes for the first time, and feels pain and feels her heart beat in her chest and her hair stand on end and every feeling comes rushing in at once. Except for romantic love. That continues to be something she doesn't feel. And her lack of sexual or romantic feeling doesn't make her any less real or human or deserving of good things, deserving of a happily ever after, like many are led to believe. She just exists. Just as she is. Nothing wrong. Everything as it should be.

okay i know i’m new to criminal minds and i’m only on season five but i was SO SAD when elle greenaway left the team!! idk if anything happened behind the scenes, like if the actress was focusing more on other projects or if something happened to get her removed from the show, but i was honestly really upset to see her go, especially in the way she did
i know trauma is a powerful thing and the constant stress of that coupled with the case that eventually made her quit was probably a lot but UGH i can’t stop thinking about how well she would get along with rossi and prentiss! how happy she would be that penelope has a loving boyfriend!! how she would give jj’s baby all the love in the world!!! HOW GOOD HER CHEMISTRY WAS WITH REID AND MORGAN!!!! she was literally becoming my favorite character and then she was just gone :(

i actually never even thought about it like that, but yeah!
obviously men do it all the time too but i feel like it’s so much more normalized for guys to watch something just because “she’s hot”, where as i was tormented for two years straight by this guy in my high school when i said spider-man was my favorite avenger because he was fully convinced i only liked the franchise bc tom holland played him.
and honestly that’s how it started. i wanted to watch spider-man homecoming because tom holland is attractive and he was the main actor, but then i watched it, actually liked the plot, and became completely immersed in the MCU.
the double standards are insane tbh
i’m so tired of men saying “you only watch [insert name of show / movie that is “for men”] because [insert name of attractive actor] is in it” as if that’s not a completely valid reason to watch it! like they don’t just draw names out of a hat to decide who is gonna play the main character, it’s someone’s JOB to cast the perfect person in the perfect role.
and don’t get me wrong, i absolutely watch movies and shows for the well written plot and incredible directing and phenomenal videography.
but also. i’m just a girl. i will watch a movie just to see a super hot actor. AND IM TIRED OF ACTING LIKE ITS SOMETHING TO BE ASHAMED OF. WHOS WITH ME!
