I’ve been sick for the past week and I think the only cure is asking more mozzie man questions. More questions yay 😃

Anopheles is a bug-man, but do mosquitoes still go after him? If they do does he consider that cannibalism/betrayal? 

Last time I asked about Mozzie tripping over his cult members, what about the reverse? A little kid just crashes into Sir’s leg accidentally - let’s pretend it caused a domino effect and suddenly 10 others have fallen onto their butts. Do they all have a laugh or should they start running because Anopheles is about to make an example out of someone? 

For whatever reason one of the younger followers has to get a shot, but said kid has a terrible fear of needles, how does our masked mosquito man handle the situation? And no, this isn’t a kid that’s just really nervous, this is the kid that tried to make an unsuccessful escape attempt out of the building screaming that they’d rather just get sick for a few days. < true story, that child was me. But little me was caught and sat back down onto the exam chair before I could take another step.

4. Can Anopheles answer: “what does the appendix do?”

Returning with some answers as always😌

1. Anopheles has mosquito-like features but he isn't necessarily related to actual mosquitos. Without his mask he just has mandibles and wings, he plays into the mosquito thing with his mask and the way he dresses. He takes care of them with bug spray, and he'd make jokes about it but he doesn't feel any particular way about killing them. (I mean he kills people, killing a mosquito is nothing to him.)

2. Depends on Anopheles' mood. If he's in a good mood he'd laugh about it, but if he's in a bad mood he's more likely to get angry and lash out. Depends on how the situation unfolds tbh. And if he is gonna make an example of you, the cult members don't run cos that makes things 100× worse. May as well let him be done with it than getting worse consequences.

3. He'd probably get the other cult members to hold them down, and he has operating chairs that shackle people to the seat. If this cult member is kinda known to be super scared, if he's feeling nice he can put them to sleep for a bit until he's done giving them a shot. But if he's in a bad mood it's not so nice.

Love your webtoon Smoke!! I’ve been reading it over and over again for a week now. Despite everything he’s done, Anopheles still remains one of my favorite characters. 

I do have a couple of questions though: 

What does he do if he has to look down, like chin to chest, wouldn’t the mask get in the way? 

The taller you are the less you’re aware of objects below a certain height (speaking from experience I’ve almost run over a little kid and I’m only 5”) So how does mozzie man avoid kicking his vertically-challenged cult members into the stratosphere? You can’t tell me he’s never tripped over one, there’s +400 kids running around.

On the Pine Wood Camp flyer it said for ages 12-22. Why that age range? Kids younger than 12 would be easy to feed ideas to, and 22 seems a bit old. Was there a specific reason Anopheles chose 12-22?

1. The mask absolutely gets in the way! He usually has to kinda awkwardly bend over or turn his head to avoid this. Usually he will do this sort of thing when he talks to shorter members, makes it easier for everyone:

His mask gets in the way of him drinking things normally too. In a later scene its shown he drinks his coffee with a straw😭

2. He avoids kicking vertically-challenged cult members cult members (most of the time) because his cult members know to move out the way when he's passing by. Generally they see it as disrespectful to get in his space or walk in front of him, and he gets annoyed if people do. So, usually you gotta just let him know you want to talk and then it'd be alright to be close to him, and he'll know to not trample you while you're walking lmao

3. The age range is generally because that's the actual age range for the cult members in the cult. It's mostly due to them growing older while being in the cult itself. The oldest member is 22, and that's the maximum on the flyer. But generally Anopheles has a process where he almost "interviews" new recruits to see if they'd be a good fit and actually be loyal to the group. The most common age recruited are 12-16 years old. 407 is an exception since he's around 10 (which will be explained later on in the comic😉)

Yeah! He does sometimes unconsciously, mainly in his sleep. It's kind of like a snore for him honestly.
