We all know by now that Scott Hope broke up with Buffy Summers because he found out that she’s been cheating on him with Tall, Dark, and Sexy, Who Also Wears a lot of Leather and Hangs Out at The Bronze All The Time #2 (the girl) (Summers really has a type doesn’t she?) (can’t believe it took Scott this long to figure it out) but something about how Scott’s taking it is weird to me.

Like, obviously anyone would be taking this whole situation pretty badly, but the way he talks is like he’s jealous or something of Buffy. Like he has this tone when he says things like “now she’s free to show the whole world how gay she is”. Like he’s bitter but also like jealous or yearning or something. I know this might be a bit of a leap and he could just be jealous that his ex is with someone else, but that doesn’t really seem to quite fit to me. Their relationship did not seem that serious. I think Buffy and Scott were in some kind of double-beard situation and Scott decided to out Buffy after an argument or something but now it’s backfiring on him. Like he sees how cool everyone’s being about first Larry and now Buffy as well and now he’s jealous that he can’t bring himself to come out yet.

Scott Hope if you see this know that it’s never okay to out someone for any reason (even if it was already pretty obvious) but if you do ever decide to come out that you’ll have the full support from the vast majority of the school

yep! Well said can’t think of anything else to add. I’ve never faced any shit for liking girls. I guess we’re too busy with the unexplained deaths.

I’m obligated by law to post about this since it’s (I believe) only the 4th fic to actually make me cry real tears. That honor goes to the second story in the series (and very nearly the third). The first story isn’t super spuffy, but is obligatory reading due to how amazing the relationship between Spike and Dawn is in it.

The prose seemed a little off to me for quite a bit, but that’s probably just my ADHD talking since I did start to get used to it and then I didn’t even notice it eventually. The story was fantastic and made me stick it out despite having to reread paragraphs when I got lost. I think that’s what made it all the more shocking when I just suddenly started crying during an earlier chapter in ‘Blood Kin’. I didn’t see it coming and it hit me hard.

If you like the potentials (and OC potentials!) and if you like Dawn and some wacky vampire shit - this is the fic for you. It’s got some excellent hurt/comfort which is my food of choice. So much hurt/comfort throughout and I just adore it. The Spike characterization was my favorite- some side characters felt OOC on occasion, but was still immensely enjoyable.

It’s also epic! I love epic long fics. Right when I thought I’d read all the big Spuffy ones, here comes this series. Kept me well fed for days. Wild how I’ve been in this fandom for so long and always seem to miss the huge things.

I’d stop at the 4th story, unless you’re a greedy little masochist (like me!) and just need to read all there is no matter how much it will break your heart. This last story would have also been amazing, I can tell. Unfortunately, as the author is no longer with us, there isn’t even a tiny hope that more will come. I’m so glad that she got to leave us with this beautiful story

jw really went I’ve got it!! I’ll have the narrative and the other characters call out Spike’s bad behavior and he’ll actually own up so those fuck ups and will therefore need to make it right to be forgiven and that will tell the audience HE’S BAD AND EVIL AND YOU SHOULDN’T LIKE HIM 💀

This is so on brand with every narcissist I’ve ever had the misfortune of interacting with because the lengths they’ll go to avoid taking accountability for harm they cause are truly out of this world. Only a man hellbent on never owning up to or acknowledging the harm he causes would think this would make us like Spike LESS when we’ve been dying for the kind of accountability we get from him from every other character except Buffy (who has been taking accountability for everyone else’s mistakes as well as her own for the entire series) for 4 seasons!!!

The thing is I think we’re ultimately supposed to understand that Buffy was emotionally closed off from Riley and was keeping him at a distance, even if she wasn’t aware she was doing it. We certainly don’t see her opening up to Riley or leaning on him the way she did with Angel or later did with Spike. The problem is Riley and Xander are such self-righteous assholes about how they present this information that I deliberately choose to believe they are wrong.

Yes, he does; it’s his shop, Willow! If you take his inventory and don’t pay for it, that’s going to show up on the balance sheet. And they could have just had her using a nonperishable item that she could put back after. Like if instead of taking the herbs from the shop, she had borrowed the mortar and pestle she was using. Because then it would still make sense for Anya to be upset, like this is a shop not a library and what if a customer comes in that would have bought that but can’t because you’re using it, but we can also sympathize with Willow thinking Giles wouldn’t mind she can clean it off and put it back in a couple minutes.

This episode trying to frame Willow & Anya’s constant fighting as stemming from a protectiveness over Xander and their relationship with him, and I don’t know, maybe that is what was fueling Willow’s behavior, but anything Anya did was only a response to Willow being a bitch to her.

Just watched the episode Angel last night and I'm so insane and not normal about it. Its so bad. Its so good. Its everything to me. Buffy asks Angel if he's been following her and why he would keep an eye on her. He says "Maybe I like you." She smiles and says "Maybe?" And girl I cant even blame her. If a person I was vaguely attracted to came into my home when I was 16 and told me they were watching me bc they like me i would have immediately been dtf. But can you tell me why at at 240!!!! Angel is saying insane shit like this?????? Image being an adult and some GUY is like "I was watching u bc i like you teehee" restraining order. IMMEDIATELY!!!

Angel also has so many goofy ass lines in this script I genuinely feel a little bad for David bc we all know hes a bad actor especially at the beginning but him saving Buffy from The Three with the line "Good dogs dont bite" ?????? what r u talking about bestie. what is that. I will however fault him for the fact that he will just smirk at the most inappropriate times. what the fuck is that. "No buffy I didnt read ur diary 😏 ok why tf would u say it like that?? or when he grins after saying the slur for romani?? like hello??

Also just the way that they intro his history is SO funny. Buffy shows up to kill him and he's like "why wouldn't I kill your mother I'm just a creature, right?" my brother in christ you are literally. the only single vampire in the entire goddamn world that has a soul. why would she. the vampire SLAYER. have any reason to believe that ur just a normal dude??? And the way he talks about the curse like so nonchalant with his little smirks.... personally I would have simply killed him based on the attitude. the vibes alone.

Then we have the absolute genius of this ep!! Darla with the guns?? *chefs kiss* are you kidding me thats SO funny. So effective. She clocked Buffy as being a bad ass slayer and despite 400 years of wrecking havoc consequence free she said hmm ok I cant take her but two (2) guns probably could. Thats why shes been alive so goddamn long. I love her.

And Willow's bravery?? Literally the shyest girl in school seeing Darla with the GUNS and still shouting to Buffy, to protect her from not only physical but emotional harm?? Obsessed!!

And finally, the last scene with the Bangel kiss. Listen. I am not a Bangel lover and we know this!!! But the way my man pressed into Buffy the whole time despite the cross burning into his chest??? I have been obsessed with that scene since day one. Whoever wrote that ate and left no crumbs I fear. Delicious.
