Summer Day

Synopsis : It was a stupid question really but now you just can't help but wonder, what if...nvm, Satoru just broke the moment again.

It was a normal, summer day. Lolling out on a bench in a park with ice-creams and rolled up sleeves to keep the heat out as flecks of sweat slide down your cheeks.

It was a normal day...until it wasn't.

Watching pairs of couples walking past you had given you the bright idea to question the grumbling white-haired boy, your bestfriend a question that you would never have asked otherwise.

"Satoru," you start, turning to look at him sprawled out with his head thrown back over the bench and an empty ice-cream stick sticking out of his mouth..."should I even bother-" you think, rolling your eyes at the sight with a sigh.

Satoru lazily turns to look at you, tilting his head a little and you can see his cerulean blue eyes staring at you," hm?"

"Quick hypothetical question. Hypothetically, if we ever become a couple how do you think our chemistry would be like? Like our...y'know what I mean!" You huff from frustration with the lack of words, your melting ice-cream slowly dripping down the cone.

"What's with the sudden idea?" He questions amusedly, leaning his head back on the bench to look at the branches of the tree overhead. "Just the couples around making me wonder what it'd be like," you shrug, taking a bite of your ice-cream.

He hums as he thinks and you're left surprised at the lasting silence, you didn't expect him to actually think about it this hard. So, you say nothing and continue taking small bites of your cone allowing him to think in silence.

"Our chemistry, huh? We'd be the power couple, for sure," He finally answers, stretching a little as he sits up and turns to look at you with a shit-eating grin," We'd be the type of couple that they'd write stories about, the kind of couple that would make the best romance writers have writers block just trying to write one that can top ours."

You gape at him, the melting cream dripping down your hand and onto your shirt," Me with my badassery and you with your sassery," he continues, flicking his empty ice-cream stick at a nearby trashcan.

" Sassery isn't a real word," you giggle, that being the only word you processed. Satoru quirks an eyebrow at you, his usual smug smile back on his face," Sure, it is."

"No, its not,"

"It does exist,"

"Since when?"

"Since now," he retorts, standing up and stretching his arms. You scoff at him and he turns to look back at you," You're getting ice-cream on your uni," he quips, pointing at the soaking cream prints on your shirt.

You cuss a little as you reach for your weapons bag and search for tissues, not noticing the fact that Satoru had come closer to you. You find the tissue and hurriedly turn back to face your ice-cream only to come face-to-face with a smug Satoru, your confused face reflected against his tinted glasses as he bends down and licks the melted cream off your hand, starting from the base of your hand and working his way upto the top, your thumb.

He pulls away and looks at you from beneath his sunglass with a smirk before turning to the side," Would you look at that, Suguru and Shokos here too!" He quips, waving at the two figures as he picks up your half eaten cone off of your hand, gobble it up in a bite and start to walk towards the two...leaving you stunned, sitting and...ice-creamless.

A slew of curses directed at him pours out of your mouth as realization hits you, furiously wiping your hand and shirt with the tissue but all you can hear is Satoru's echoing laughter.

You reach for your weapons bag.

Bonus:

Satoru licks his lips, the lingering sweetness and tingling sensation in his lips was creating flutters in his stomach," Took you guys long enough," Satoru pouts, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Your ears are turning red," Shoko deadpans, not bothering to look up from her phone. "Just the summer heat," Satoru mutters, consciously touching the tip of his ears. He looks at Suguru and narrows his eyes at the smug, knowing smile resting on Suguru's face.

"Suguru" "Yes?" "Shut up"

"I didn't even say anything!" Suguru protests as he leans to the side and looks behind Satoru, his eyes widening.

"Satoru" "Yea?" "What did you do?"

"Nothing, why?" Satoru replies, mockingly offended as he turns around only to see you run towards him...with a katana in hand and your weapons bag slung over your shoulder.

"That's my cue to leave," Satoru mumbles, running away with an angry you in tow, curses spewing out like water from your mouth.

"Should we-" Suguru starts

"We should," Shoko sighs, she could only hope for a living Satoru once you were done with him .

fuck. she retreated. is that supposed to happen?? i feel like maybe im on a neutral route now. im not sure if she was supposed to retreat or not, she also mentioned how like. shes glad we attacked early cause she would've told us where everyone else is. you know what i think im gonna retry the battle

interesting... if i apologize multiple times i get new dialogue. is she gonna spare us?

nevermind it doesnt do anything special it just. skips her boss and puts on neutral i suppose?

im gonna try apologizing and getting to her LAST line of dialogue and just. shooting her . eheheh

update: almost gave myself spoilers trying to see if there were any strategys (specifically for the part with the falling objects. god i hate that part)

so i just wasted time repeating the bossfight AND almost gave myself spoilers!! ..uwahhh

so. since i wasted so much time on martlet. i'll give some personal insight onto how the attack is.

God awful

most of her attacks are easy, *especially* since if you look at the crosshairs, it shows you what direction the attacks will go in/come from.

so all you need to do is just stand there.

with the boxes, you just have to stick to the ground. its safest, just make sure not to get crushed by objects/incoming boxes. the WORST attacks in my opinion would be the feathers exploding into 3 extra feathers attack, and the wind attack with falling objects.

the first of the two is easier, just stay away from the big red feathers and treat it all like a bullet hell.

i still havent figured out a strategy for the wind attack, i honestly just hope i dont get a bad combination of objects and usually heal right before the attack arrives.

but, yeah! i also noticed if you apologize and then attack right after, she seems to skip a line of dialogue and also maybe an attack? its hard to tell.

so yeah! apologies for rambling

moving on!

i like the fact you can see flowey during this cutscene

i'd also like to ramble once more; i like how all of these locations and characters clover meet are kind of implied to exist at the same time as the other monsters?

like, the dark ruins: frisk wouldnt encounter it because she never falls into the dark ruins.

the other part of snowdin? it makes sense it exists; we took a different exit out of the ruins, and if you look at the base game, you can overlook a HUGE forest. who knows how many more monsters there are around?

i think im gonna feel the worst about killing him. look at him. a little guy

HIS ATTACKS ARE AFFECTED BY HOW DAMAGED HE IS..

CAUSE ON THE ATTACK WHERE HE GOES UP AND DOWN THE SCREEN HE JUST. STAYS AT THE TOP WITH A SAD EXPRESSION..

also for some reason they remind me of. binding of isaac enemies. i dont know why.

Spoilers for Fionna and Cake ep 8

SIMON AND BETTY everyone is dead except BMO

Okayyy this episode was bonkers we can start to see that it's coming to an end.. I do have a couple theories and things that I want to point out so here we go

With this new episode Simon Fionna and Cake are in a deserted Ooo, totally absent of life, it took me a while to see that this is Ooo but it's thrown at your face instantly as you see this:

Yup, our beloved Treehouse is nothing but sticks and death.... with this much we can tell that this death thing happeen during the main series runtime, cuz its not either a long gone future nor a distant past.

Then we have a thing that confirms this theory even more which is IK tapes, when at the Ice Kingdom Fionna and Cake see old IK tapes, and during the last one you can see this frame here

And this is where my ideas start to make sense... So from what is told to us throughout the episode, everyone died, SUDDENLY and during a time in which Ice King still is Ice King and Finn and Jake live in the Treehouse.

The point that I'm trying to make here is that this is probably an Ooo affected by Lich's wish at the episode Finn The Human, a place in which all life was killed, and only BMO and Lich prevail...

Oh nvm BMO died...

Aight, so then we get to see Lich, he's older, bored, with Billie's half skin still attached to him... Golb, if this is it then it all makes sense now.

The subplot of this episode consisted in Simin telling Fionna how he met Betty, it's actually wholesome and it's funny to see these two nerds interact with each other.

Not only that but most of the artifacts shown in AT are present here, the Armor of Zeldron and the Wand of Dispersement and even the Enchiridion,(HE WAS GOING TO GET CURSED WITH THE SHEEP THING HE IS DUMB) we even get to see the moment when they took the photo of our Silly man Simon

Nevertheless I think this was the best episode in the whole mini series so far, I loved the contrast between vibes, it was so interesting to see this Ooo and especially this Lich... In a way I don't want old Ice King back... maybe he can talk the Prismo's Boss??? somehow????

I think that majority of players don’t even know that chen is one of the main character in game that it’s sad. I see a lot of people complaining about her appearing in stories after reunion arc even though her screen time is already a lot less than amiya and kaltsit… I think yj already forgot about the main characters concept lmao but her getting new outfit at different region is cool i guess but why are those outfits so weird- (sorry this is just my personally ranting…

actually... have they mentioned the whole 'kaltsit = past, chen = present, and amiya = future' thing outside of CN or did i dream this i feel like they said it somewhere...i can kind of see how people would think amiya is the only protag seeing as there are people who unironically think the doc is the (sole/main) protag and chen/kal acting so antagonistic early on probably didnt help lol

2. yea its sad but as always if chen has 1 morbillion fans i am one of them if she has one im that 1 fan etc drinking their salty tears 🫡🫡🫡

3. uhhh went on a little costume design ramble sorry. my outfits copium is basically telling myself she's really getting the 'dad who does not really understand fashion buying(designing) clothes for child' treatment anime-style (like what can i say other than point to the night and day difference of dossoles chummer e2 fit vs the ice cream collab fit)

i have my personal nitpicks for every outfit but (looks at gavial2 summer skin) a 8.8 is so much better than a...nvm i'll refrain from grading. but for all the nits i pick i think they still pass the baseline of costume design because of the storytelling they do

base chen: cop who likes to yolo a bit too much, leave that one button undone so roll up her sleeves, give her gloves, give her a walkie talkie/earpiece etc, e2 makes that jacket even bigger and has that yummy rhodes teal

CNY skin: still of the opinion/hc that its the dress fumizuki mentioned which is why she looks like shes wearing it grudgingly, it has shorts though at least !!

chummer: shes (trying to be) on a holungday so bring back her epic tourist c cap and make her existing recognizable jacket more summer-y, also the duck heart emoji

victorian arc: cop sideclass(?) to sheriff detective or something, embracing her cringe but free era by leaving her collars up now has the sense to tuck in her shirt and wear actual pants, better coverage against the elements etc etc thank terra nevermind the fact theyre so tight fitting this is just like khr also she looks flatter in the animated PV smile i'm reminded of a wb comment that went sth like 'why are you dressing like this when youre already 30' on this fit and shes not explicitly 30 etc etc but i really like the 'chuuni(cringe but free) at 30' vibe

yumen: passing-by traveler with the cape!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍 i really like how it looks in the cg lol with the thinner/darker stripes on the outside, ngl no fucking idea what that green box is but i appreciate chen still having a little green and yellow on her outfit, the shortness of the dress? bothered me at first but ive come to the terms that chen is a shorts enjoyer so

10k mountains: youxia-core with the hat and cape👍👍👍👍👍👍 and keeps the plastic part from chummer jacket as well as the checkers (i think they were zips but you know, the black and white alternating…lol remember how her current thing is supposedly dealing with the reality of being grey or whatever as little sense as that makes. we are in full hc territory here but its so much better than adding another 20 belts) the heels dont exist to me though

like idk it's not even a high bar honestly just nail down the role/silhouettes first before adding your morbillion belts/fanservice 😭 looking at a certain bunch of characters anyway this is why swire has the best track record for outfits 1/? ill stop here before i start tambling about her summer drip

anyway everyone should look at this Canon(as in camera brand not the other meaning) ad ft. real cormorant im convinced they got the designs from HG early because they dropped a photoshoot ~bout a week after the 4anni livestream and they got the 2hu-style sleeves right that you can never see unless you look at the sprite sheet, uh

cool stuff i like in video games that is cool

i LOVE the vibe of the unexplored. searching through an ancient temple to find new things. finding a land that defies all logic. thats the important part, it has to defy logic. I don't want to explore your lame ass lightly forested plains if i already know what i'm gonna find there. break my expectations. destroy your own precedent over and over again.

lets take a look at some examples of games that did this for me (minor spoilers for zelda totk and mario wonder ahead, but theyre small enough that you can make the judgement call. they probably won't ruin the game for you.)

zelda twilight princess. I didn't play this when it released, i played it much later on the wii i have when a friend gave it to me because he decided he didn't like it. it certainly isn't part of what most would consider my "childhood". it was my 3rd zelda game. (my first was botw and my second alttp) yet it executed this vibe im talking about (and probably explained poorly) so well. after the whole "chase down and eat bugs" section, i was surprised by the 4th section, the ice one i forgot the name of, because i thought the world wouldn't get any larger. doing "the 3 things" is usually the end in modern video games. they like to follow consistent patterns. this game did NOT do that and i love it for that. i got surprised when i could go to the city in the sky. i got surprised when i could go to gerudo desert. holy shit exploring places like that and exploring the TWILIGHT REALM?? heck yeah. this is what i buy video games for half the time. exploring weird and unconventional places. heck, in this case, even the temple of time kinda fulfilled this "exploring the unknown" vibe.

anyway enough of twilight princess. totk did this wonderfully as well, at least until i got used to how the sky islands are laid out. finding weird and interesting puzzles in the sky is such a joy. again, its a strange place that defies logic and convention. its hard to get to, so getting there is all the more rewarding. that is to say it had that joy UNTIL i got used to it. that's the important part, if you're going to defy logic, you have to do it repeatedly, or you'll just be following your own logic again. i need to not expect what comes next.

hell, even what mario wonder did with the deep magma bog overworld map. its mostly hidden until you walk to it, and each part is a slightly unique take on the magma feel. this is the bare minimum you can do to achieve this vibe. its weird and different for the average lava zone in mario, so it feels mysterious and magical.

i think that's kind of where this all is going. each of these things feel magical. this magical feeling is created by a lack of understanding, and by not immediately imposing a "logical conclusion" upon it. in these spaces in these games, the player allows the game to violate their understanding of the rules. that's what makes it magical.

anyway, that's enough rant for now.

!! Well my friend gave me the new wof ‘guid to the dragon world’ book for Christmas so I am PREPARED for this question!!

one of my favorite things ever is just to see how a dragon is suited to its environment— not just wof, but all brands!! Drakes that have no wings but are expert runners, tundra dragons with different ways of dealing with the cold— with either fur or other methods which are barely (if at all) scientifically plausible. I just like the different types and learning them all!! As of right now I’m really biased towards tundra dragons bc i really like ice wings lmao, but I also love the variety possible with dragons living in the ocean— I mean, there are so many different kinds of fish to base them on!!

Mainly in dragon designs I like to see a mishmash of different animals combined with maybe a little bit of camouflage to their environment— for instance, if I were to make my own design for ice wings I might their talons a bit more like polar bear paws, while other ice wings might have tails like seals for markings like orcas. I like variety within a species of dragon, if you couldn’t tell.

and in worlds that feature dragons, I really like it when they go over their relationship to other animals or humans!! Are other animals of the same mental caliber to dragons? Can they have conversations with with a snake or perhaps a crocodile? Do the dragons discover any methods of communicating with humans? Do they become friends? I would love it if they became friends 🥺

(in fifth grade I obsessively read the equivalent of horse girl books but for dragons. Yk, girl meets wild creature, they understand each other, girls family says NO WAY but in the end the girl and the dragon’s bond is tested in some way and the family is like NVM it can stay) (I just realized I could have shorted this my like 100 words if I just said “you know, like how to train your dragon” but WHATEBER)

And of course, I love dragon culture. How do dragons dance? What do their instruments look like? I saw someone create a design for dragon puppets that I ADORED (can’t remember the name but if you loo through my ‘bagel loves dragons’ tag you should find it somewhere bc I went on a ramble in the tags LMAO). And what sorts of religions do they have as well, and how is it affected by their environment? In Wof, the Pantalans worshipped Clearsight bc of her prophecies, but in other worlds like totk (or going to a real religion like the Buddhist pantheon) the dragons are servants to a higher power! and oh I just like dragons so much. Sometimes it gets dicey bc there aren’t too many limits on what a dragon is (me and a friend of mine once got in an argument over whether something could have a dragon or dinosaur (not smth real, just art) because we have differing autisms and we both had to just sit down away from each other bc we were so unnerved by what the other thought), but anyways I just love anything dragons and it’s so hard to define what my favorite things on dragons are because I like them ALL!! It’s more easy to say what I don’t like (overly cartoony, implausible proportions, ugly colors. Also lots of cartoonists give dragons an insane underbite for some reason?? That one isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker but it confuses me)

also a little bit ago someone asked my about my hc wof au AND I PROMISE I DIDNT FORGET I just got nervous ❤️❤️ I will talk about it more later and hopefully I’ll have art but I want to practice other dragons first bc it’s been a hot minute

I feel like playing co-gender volleyball with boyfriend!Ushijima and boyfriend!Bokuto would be two very different experiences. Toshi would never let you touch the ball. Knowing how hard his friends spike, he'd work double hard to make sure you don't get hurt and that your team still wins. He knows that he can't get all of the balls, but when he sees you shake out your arms after bumping a powerful receive, the look that he would send the other team would make them dread the next time he was set to serve. On the other hand, Bo would be yelling at you to go for every ball that comes remotely your way. When you feel bad for bringing the team down, he'd get the rest of the team to hype you up and Aakashi can't help but laugh at how the tables have turned.

Wendy: Ohhh, just a silly little thought while walking my dog!

Also Wendy: *proceeds to send me brilliant fully fleshed out idea that she definitely needs to turn into a fic bc i'd devour it immediately*

this is actually part of my birthday fic a little bit hehuehehe. well, not exactly this, but ushi teaching her how to play volleyball :) .......nvm, it's not like this at all bc ushi teaching her how to play volleyball is so obvious FAJDFHAJSK im running on iced tea and goldfish rn

Toshi would ABSOLUTELY be getting every ball he possibly could to make sure you didn't have to do anything. You're his precious little one, his lil angel, his baby. He knows all the pain that comes with volleyball and he will be DAMNED if you're going to also feel that pain.

You would notice he was trying to protect you like the perfect prince he is, and you'd be like "Toshi, I can get the ball. Let me get it!" and he would SOOOOO EXTREMELY HESITANTLY stand back and let you receive it, and the serve was HARSH so now your arms hurt :(

the other team might as well have turned to ash with the way Toshi glared at them. but he doesn't want you to SEE he's glaring at them,,,, because he's working on being more smiley and emotional for you and you alone

(you had teased him and said 'do you even know how to smile, toshi?' and when he did try to smile big it was very endearing but very awkward looking and you started crying from laughing so hard)

anyways he only glares at them when you've switched out and you're not on the court anymore and you're taking a little water break, and in the .002 seconds he has of you turned around, the whole other team wishes they were dead. they just wanna forfeit the whole game so they dont gotta deal with whatever wrath they're about to face from him fahdjfhasjklfads Toshi just wants to protect his lil angel

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm bokuto on the other hand.......... your biggest hype man. For literally everything.

You're brushing your teeth in the morning? He's hyping you up. You're eating breakfast? He's hyping you up. You're doing a chore? He's hyping you up. He's like your own personal cheer section. He's all of the cheerleaders and fans and noise makers and poster board signs all in one person.

so obviously this carries into volleyball. of course, HE is getting balls too, but he's so PROUD of you that you are also playing the sport he loves so much and getting better at it every day, so he's encouraging you to go for every ball that comes to you, he's hyping you up so hard just like he does at home and when the other team gets a point and its TECHNICALLY your fault, he's squeezing you into a bear hug and telling you its fine and that you'll get the next one and he gives you little kissies on your cheekies to make you feel better

and you're like "bo, come on, you cant do that here..." all embarrassed BUT HE JUST GIVES YOU MORE KISSIES BC THATS WHO HE IS, BABY, HE CANT HELP IT

and when your team wins, he's the reason for the winning point but with the way he's like crushing you when he picks you up and bounces you up and down in the air its like you made the point yourself and he's telling you how proud he is of you and how great of a job you did and how much he loves YOUUUUU IM SO SOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTT wendy you beautiful lil thing your ideas are always so good

/ polyamorous-elevenv2 here! so u did have a bad time, so I decided to try to work something for u. like part of the collab. I didn't start it, bc I asked if u have any idea for the prompt for that collab but u never responded. but well, anyway, let's start.

It wasn't anything unusual. Max was spending a lot of time lately with Lucas and El. It was normal. El was her best friend, and Lucas was her boyfriend. It was okay. They hang out a lot as a trio, they went to the movies, on ice creams, they even taught El the beautiful art of judging people together!

But today, well, today was different.

Last night, the trio of them decided to go to Lucas' house because it was still bright outside, even though rain was raining like crazy. They ended up on his couch, choosing one of the videotapes Lucas had in his home, and decided to watch it. It started with comedy movie, then they switched to horror one, and at the end they have chosen... romance, yeah. But it was funny. Characters were straight up dumb, but El was loving it, looking at the screen with bright eyes, making both Max and Lucas smile.

And Max didn't want to think about it then, but... it wasn't an 'El is such a silly friend' smile. No. It was a 'she's so cute, isn't she?' smile, that smile that usually is directed at people you love. Not friends. And she knew that Lucas loves her, stars know that she knows it, but-

No. Nope, not now. That's not a problem right now.

Max's problem right now is that she is in need of peeing.

Why won't she just go?

Because the night before, after watching a romance movie, they switched to some boring drama and,,, well,,, next thing Max know is waking up squished between El and Lucas' torsos.

its morning and she woke up having all the couch by herself with soft pillows in her head and a blanket on top of her. she wonder where Lucas and El, she than smell something heavinly coming from the kitchen she got up and goes to the kitchen, finding Lucas cooking and El helping him.

El and Lucas notice Max standing quietly at the corner, El called Max and greet her good morning while smilling cutely, Max feel her heartbeat getting faster, she smiled and also greet El. Lucas also greeted her and Max also greet him to, she sat next El and they start to chat, after 5 minutes the food is ready Lucas already handing them their food for El she have; chicken and waffle and a milk, for Max she have a pancakes,bacons and a coffee and for him he have ham and chess omelete and orange juice.
