#... sorry i'm still mad about the ending.
// novel spoilers (side story 3 / chp 406)
... okay yes charlotte is cute. lloyd influencing her into making contracts for everything was very him and him setting cheek kisses as the reward for the "contract" was very sweet- :>
... but how the fck did charlotte also get the system?? "... as though it was fated." what part of fate needs to be more involved in making what's soon to be the world's most overpowered child who's not even 7 yet??
like they already said she has her mom's swordfighting capabilities and her dad's wit and intellect, not to mention also having fcking javier the grandmaster as her mentor- I don't think she needs the system's help??
and all that for just a special summon for her birthday gift?? that's wild. (I'm not saying it's a bad thing but like. for why-)

Serious chaos one-shot snippet
“Hey, Dami?”
Boy hadn’t looked up from kittens he was bottle feeding but let out hum indicating he listened.
“I think about trying out more girlish style. Do you think it would suit me?”
Well, Damian had no idea but if Dani wished to give it a chance, then, well, the only appropriate course of action was to offer his aid.
Also features: Dani and Damian working at an animal shelter, Steph being fashionable, and Batman's rouge gallery and no, it's not a spelling mistake :)

Ngl, I really think that these bylers that are crying 24/7 about "purity culture" or whatever, are playing dumb when they start with their "but Nancy and Steve were 16 and 17 in that scene of s1!!!1" like... We got introduced to these characters at that age and the people playing them were already adults. So yeah, sorry but I think it's easy to see why most viewers would be uncomfortable with a more sexual scene of Mike and Will and it's not automatically homophobia, I think that would be the case with any of the kids since we got introduced to these characters when they were 12 and the actors were babies as well. We literally saw those kids grow. And I'm not saying byler should only get to peck or hold hands, It'd be cool if they have their epic kiss or whatever, but Will hasn't even had his first kiss yet and some of these people are already talking about sex scenes, like... Be for real 😭
funny you should say that...because i've used the nancy was 15-16 in season one argument (last tag) before while also saying that i understand why people find the sex part of their sexualities uncomfortable to discuss. and i wanna reiterate that, again, i totally understand that people feel like they've seen them grow up etc etc and that they still think of the actors themselves as children even thought they're not anymore.
i don't think it's all homophobia because like you said, people would probably feel the same about lucas and max and discussions of sex (i don't know if anyone is discussing that because there's much less discourse to have there and you can't argue that people are homophobic if they disagree with you) but i don't think it would be justified either. the "but we knew the characters when they were little" argument makes me think me of an ancient disney channel/abc show that old people and girl meets world fans who watched it for the first time in the 2010s will know, boy meets world (1993-2000). classic comic of age show, look at these kids. and eric in the back (he's fifteen).
they're eleven at the start of the show and then, what happens in any coming of age story happens, you guessed it...
they grow up. this is them in the later seasons, when the main characters are still in high school i think. they grow up, they talk about sex and about having sex at prom in season five and then they don't have sex right away because they figure it's not the right time yet or something like that, and then they have sex later and get married, the details don't matter. but my point is, who watches a show for five seasons, over years and years and gets upset at the main characters having sex because "this is crazy they used to be children"? isn't that the point of coming of age stories that cover multiple years or that focus on the latter years of adolescence, that they're not children forever and that at one point the characters "come of age" which usually includes their first sexual experiences?
i don't think the having sex part is particularly important in stranger things but also it doesn't have to be for it to be portrayed (see jonathan and nancy), teenagers have sex, it's just the way the world works. i'm not advocating for sex scenes of any kind especially because stranger things isn't a show that features a lot of sex in general, the only "explicit" sex scene being nancy and steve in season one with cuts to barb dying, but i genuinely don't think the duffers would have any qualms about portraying teenage sexuality in general with the party. if they did, they wouldn't have included erica threatening lucas to tell dustin what she found under his bed (it wasn't the communist manifesto) and they wouldn't have had max looking at a shirtless steve for an amount of time that's supposed to make the audience laugh. it's been 7 years. if they do a time jump, the babies will be about 17, played by actors who will all be around 20, the age natalia was when filming season one. the characters are teenagers, babies grow up. it happens to the best of us. i get why people would find it uncomfortable and maybe i would find it uncomfortable too but i wouldn't be scandalized. the duffers had no problem having a child actor portray everything will goes through in seasons one and especially two, i really feel like sex is fine and...not traumatizing or hard to watch compared to every single thing will's gone through lol. and again, i'm not even expecting them to have sex lmao, but i wouldn't cry myself to sleep if they revealed that everyone in the party actually knows what sex is.
last question: do we have any indication that jonathan had talked to more than one other girl (the girl at the halloween party being the one girl i'm counting for him) before he got together with nancy. i'm just asking because of your last sentence, because if we don't he should have slowed down also😭

the way people are ready to throw away morals just because the wizard boy was important in their childhood. how selfish can you be if you know that supporting that franchise is directly harming the life of trans people since the author literally funds organization against them WITH the money earned from it. doesn't matter if she's already rich why are you even helping on making her richer, just because of nostalgia? because of an emotional attachment? because your feelings are more important than trans lives? if you're gonna support that show in any kind of way please do me a favor and unfollow me and block me because it cannot be that fucking hard to put the lives of actual human beings over your feelings and emotions

The innovation of a 3D-printed device from the University of Edinburgh could pave the way to the abolition of animal testing.
The plastic “body-on-chip” device contains human cells from five major organs — the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver — and simulates chemicals moving through the circulatory system by using positron emission tomography (PET) scanning.
“This device is the first to be designed specifically for measuring drug distribution … essentially, allowing us to see where a new drug goes in the body and how long it stays there, without having to use a human or animal to test it,” Liam Carr, inventor of the device, told The Guardian.
Future models could also show how organs in different stages of disease react to medicine — as well as how everyday items like foods, aerosols, and cleaners affect the human body — improving precision in biomedical experiments.
This device is an example of innovation in biomedical models that could replace animal testing. It could also be cheaper and faster than testing new drugs on live animals.
“This device shows really strong potential to reduce the large number of animals that are used worldwide for testing drugs and other compounds, particularly in the early stages, where only 2% of compounds progress through the discovery pipeline,” said Dr. Adriana Tavares of the University’s Centre for Cardiovascular Science according to WION News.

beating a dead horse but I still get so baffled and confused that at the ending. I thought "So Patty at some point had an epiphany that all she wants from Allison is friendship? That's dumb, and rushed, and completely without the proper foundation".
And then MHI and Valerie were both like "no Patty still has secret unrequited feelings but that's fine for some reason : )"
No that's WORSE how do you not see how that's WORSE at least my interpretation blamed clumsy writing that could be attributed to an early cancelation don't act like this was the plan all along because it's so much WORSE

I saw someone complain about how apparently raine was created only to be eda's love interest and op was like hoho ofc the only nb character is a love interest with no character development and like.
I'm sorry I am physically unable to see this as a problem. raine is good representation, like they just are. not ever queer character needs to be incredibly important to the plot to be good rep? also it's not like raine is a side character that was thrown in in the back for cheap rep, they have an important role for eda's developpment and theyre literally the head of the rebellion against belos (aside from eda who rebels against everything). and THEY'RE NOT THE ONLY NON BINARY CHARACTER EITHER?? masha I think is their name is nb too (and they are a very very side character but we already have raine it's not like they're the only nb character again) and the collector uses he/they pronouns im pretty sure. good lord.
I want to bang my head against a wall. how do you Live.
it reminds me of when I saw someone saying TOH is shit queer representation and racist (??? somehow) because it doesn't do enough? bro? the main character is a neurodivergent OPENLY bisexual black latina girl. what do you want MORE. she's in a relationship with her lesbian girlfriend, the world girlfriend was said, trey kiss and hold hand. They put so much diversity in this show it got fucking canceled.

A little midnight rant (??) more of a ramble actually.
But anyway, I kept getting a lot of "Feminist" videos when they are actually Terf videos disguise as feminist videos or just flat-out Terf videos but don't want to use the word Terf because "it's a hateful thing to say." When really... no. It's not, it literally means Trans Exclusion Radical Feminist.
But anyway, I digress, my question, when did the word feminist lose its proper meaning?
There's a reason why I don't put feminist on my bio because many folks already (sadly) have come to the assumption that feminism/feminist means an all-women club aka "bio women" only.
When... no... feminism was started by women but only because in the working force women were really seen as stay-at-home wives. But because of the women's rights movement is when the law became more lenient in allowing women to work.
Feminist also means helping others such as men of different races as well to get proper jobs and payment as well. That sentence is gonna confuse someone sorry, to ramble more on what I mean. You have to understand the payment system. It's still a problem in today but way way back then, it was a lot worse. Many foreigners that came to America weren’t getting proper payment or not paid at all. But were really taken advataged at the fact they were aliens so their boss would make threats to them such as getting them deported or worse.
Because of the feminist movement, women realize they weren't the only ones getting mistreated by the system so we, feminist, would stick with them and fight a fight for equal rights. In which we won but obviously still need more work.
There is so much more history in which I can't really type all of that here because that would derail this post purpose on my question.
As a true feminist (ew, I don't like that I have to call myself a true feminist just so I don't lump myself with the falseys), knowing the history of what a feminist is... When did the word feminist lose it proper meaning?
I'm not chronically online as I use to be in my teen years (but knowing that bad habit messed up my mental and physical health).
Please explain to me like I have been living under rock. Don't explain to me that undermine my intelligence (I've had people that done that to me before it's not fun) but in a way that is like high school teaching. Except take out the censoring bit.
I wanna know the

i am not asking for your sympathy but man, it has been a rough year and change for ibustans. people being shoot terrible to/about ibushi (and his fans) bc of the title unification (that he pretty obviously didn't like either) was the *nicest* thing that has happened to him since about ~March 2021. compared to what followed, that was actually some zany giggles.
and also i am not asking for your sympathy but i realized it was time to reach out for support when i was sitting here considering making an 'ibushi in skull end' gifset.
i just want all my fellow ibustans to know i support you and send my love. i hope you are coping okay. like ~it's just wrestling, but damn. it's been really really bad, huh.
