So the prompt that this one pulled up was "McCoy calls Kirk "Lardnut" when Kirk ignores his diet", and this is also a answer to a 30 Day Writing Challenge prompt (Prompt 29, "Write about your MCs nicknames"). This is also the start of a new series! So please read the next story in the series (it's an older one) if you like this one.

Affectionate Nicknames (A "Love On The Enterprise And Beyond" Story) - Bones has a nickname for Jim that waxes and wanes in usage until Bones almost loses Jim.

The first time Bones called Jim “Lardnut” was when he came in for his exam some time after getting command of the Enterprise. “Are you stress eating or something, Lardnut?”

“I’m not eating that much more than I should, I’m just not eating all that leafy shit you keep trying to make me eat.”

“Salads are good for you, as long as you don’t load it up with a ton of dressing. Now eat a salad a day and lose some weight, Lardnut.”

“Stop calling me Lardnut.”

“Alright, Captain Lardnut.”

The nickname stuck for a few weeks, but as Jim started eating some of the salads and started exercising more, Bones found other cheeky things to call him. Jim had to eventually be clued in that it was either friendly affectionate teasing of sarcastic affectionate flirting by Uhura.

Jim went to the medbay and stood outside Bones’s office door until he looked up from the datapads he was going through.

“Why do you call me shit like Lardnut?” he asked, his tone non-accusatory as he tilted his head to the side.

“Teasing.”

“Friendly teasing or flirty teasing?” Jim asked as Bones took in a breath. Bones proceeded to choke on the breath and make noises that Jim should leave his office right damn now.

Bones avoided Jim for a few days and Jim found he missed his friend, missed his wit and even missed the god-awful nicknames he came up with for him. But then he was taking some of the good Russian vodka from Chekov’s contraband stash when Bones came up to him with a decanter of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Over some rather good screwdrivers they talked. It was flirty teasing, but Bones hadn’t wanted to admit it. There had never been any men in his life he was attracted to before Jim, he’d said, and he’d found it a hard thing to swallow that maybe he wanted more from their friendship than friendship.

When they kissed for the first time, the coldness of the vodka and the tartness of the orange juice made for a sweeter kiss than planned.

“Why do you call me ‘Bones’?” he askedone evening when they were in bed together. They hadn’t “done the deed” yet, as Uhura teased, but McCoy had basically moved into Jim’s quarters by now and when they were ready they would know. Jim had had sex with men and male presenting people before, being openly pansexual; this was all new to Bones, and Jim was determined to make sure he was absolutely comfortable with how intimate they were.

“When we met, you said that all your wife left you were your bones. And a Naval doctor in the past would sometimes go by Sawbones. Thought it was a good fit.” Jim propped himself up on an elbow and turned to face Bones. “I’ll stop if you don’t like it.”

“Actually, you’re right. It is a good fit,” he said, tracing shapes on Jim’s chest. Then he frowned. “Have you stopped eating the salads?”

Jim looked down, blushing slightly as he said “...yeah.”

“Lardnut,” Bones said, but in a light, affectionate tone.

“That’s a personal nickname, only to be used in these four walls,” Jim said, swatting his hand away playfully, lifting his head up. Bones settled his hand on the nape of Jim’s neck and pulled him in for a slow, soft kiss.

“Alright, Lardnut.”

The last time Bones called Jim “Lardnut,” Jim wasn’t awake to hear him. He was still in the healing coma fostered by Khan’s magic blood, but Bones sat by his bed, holding his hand, and said “Lardnut, I’m too tired of losing the people I love. Yeah, I said love. I love you, dammit. You need to come back to me and I promise, this is the last time I’ll ever make fun of your baby fat or softness ever again.”

When he woke up the next day to see Spock standing there, Bones wasn’t surprised that he hadn’t heard anything, but his nicknames for Jim changed. And he kept his word; he never once again called Jim “Lardnut.” He appreciated every soft squishy bit of his lover with abandon, and was happy that he was back.

my brother and i were doing a modded stardew with a twist, doing joja run, semi isolation challenge on the (also modded) hilltop farm

1st of the month we can go out, but only to joja

every wednesday we both can go out, aka when pierres is closed

he can leave on friday, and I can leave on sunday

if it's a rainy day we can both leave after 12

and no festivals until year two when the restriction lift a little and we can both go out on friday/sunday

year three we can leave friday to sunday

after year four we can leave everyday in spring/summer/fall

we set up the farm as if it's been slightly abandoned:

two silos, empty, no hay to be found

1 big coop and 1 big barn and 1 big shed

the story we are going with is the coop and barn used to be deluxe, but after years of disuse they have deteriorated, any animals were sold long before we arrived

the big shed we have is blocked off in a corner where we cant enter, it's taking up space but we won't have time to deal with it until winter

(winter rules are a little different:

we stay on the farm on wednesdays but we must also choose a solo day for the night market

where we both can go out for the day but must be back at the farm by 5 when the night market starts if it's not the day they choose

year two: we choose two days and we can both go to them

year three: we can go to all three days

year four: stay on the farm on wednesdays is lifted)

we have all the trees fully grown, but they aren't anything special anymore(aka why they arent quality after being grown for "years")

there used to be a slime hutch but it's long gone now, conveniently every night slimes(and other monsters) spawn on the farm..they must be the escaped slimes

there's a cave of mushrooms already growing! what a lucky find..

anyway one of the mods broke the file and its unreadable now so we might start this over, maybe find another challenge or go back to our river farm file, not much was lost though, it was fun to play and we were only about 10 hours so not much time investment yet

Day 6 of 30 Day B-T challenge

A song that I definitely identify with is Ao No Sekai from Darker Than Darkness. Definitely one of my most favourite B-T songs of all time.I was first captivated by the catchy and unique beat of the song and the sensual guitar riffs (atleast imo). But its definitely Sakurai's masterfully expressive lyricism that truly makes this song special for me (that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the music lol).

Ao No Sekai has strong themes of loneliness and self-destructive isolation. About being a lone wolf. The world is cruel and unjust. Which is why we will often run away and create our own fantasy world in order to escape this ruthless society.

However this self isolation and the need to stray away from the pack unfortunately has its own consequences. This can lead to strained relationships with people who understand and deeply care about you. Cutting off people out of the fear that no one will understand your pain and misery will end up harming not just you but your relationships with loves ones ("And in the space of a wink, my lover vanished", "Love everything. Ah, hurt everything, Goodbye"). And drowning oneself in substances doesn't help either since it further blurs one's foresight("In an ocean of alcohol, my gaze swims midair").Pls note that I don't identify with this part of the song since I don't drink, smoke or do dr*gs. But this does make me want to give Acchan a hug coz f*ck, that's really dark and depressing.

I guess the message of this song is to stick to reality, have one's feet firm to the ground. Yes a dreamworld of our own can be a temporary refuge from our troubles ("Buried in flowers, even I could betray myself") and I'm not saying it's a bad thing, in fact I completely understand (also literally in the same page), it's just that, let's not loose our grip on reality and let's communicate with each other and be kind to one other. Even a dreamworld of our own can feel isolating without someone to share it with.

Esse último final de semana foi um pouco difícil emocionalmente para mim e hoje me senti ansiosa por algum tempo...

As vezes penso no tipo de pessoas que muitas vezes atraio e eu não acho isso realmente ruim, mas muitas vezes, essas pessoas consomem grande parte da minha energia.

No sábado, alguns amigos precisaram de mim para desabafar e conversar sobre seus problemas pessoais. Foram 4 amigos. Eu realmente gosto de ajudá-los a se sentirem melhor mas foi cansativo ouvi-los e falar ateciosamente com cada um. Um deles inclusive, tentou tirar a própria vida e me mandou uma foto tão triste desse momento... no final do dia eu estava me sentindo bastante cansada emocionalmente.

Por isso, as vezes acho que atraio pessoas que precisam de alguma forma de ajuda... e eu jamais negaria ajudar, mas isso pode ser bem exaustivo.

Eu também estou passando por um período romantico com alguém e é uma situação recente. Apesar de ser bom conhecer alguém como ele, interessante, atencioso, sensível e respeitoso, como é tudo muito novo, estamos nos conhecendo e algumas diferenças nas nossas personalidades, por muitas vezes, nos colocam em momentos delicados de discussão. Mas eu quero tentar insistir nesse relacionamento. Sinto que vale a pena a tentativa e que com o tempo, é possível que nós dois desenvolvamos bons sentimentos um pelo outro.

As vezes eu só me sinto um pouco perdida e pressionada.

Além dessas questões entre meus amigos e namorado, meus dias tem sido muito vazios. Minhas férias não estão sendo ruins mas eu gostaria que eu tivesse mais energia para fazer coisas mais proveitosas. De qualquer maneira, é bom poder estar com meu pai, minha irmã e meus gatos.

Fiz minha rematrícula na faculdade e escolhi minhas disciplinas para este semestre. Farei 5 disciplinas: "Quimíca para Biociências", "Embriologia Comparada", "Zoologia de Invertebrados I", "Biofísica" e "Microbiologia". Espero conseguir estudar todas com um bom desempenho e passar por mais esse período com sucesso.

Estou ansiosa para começar a rotina de aulas e focar novamente na faculdade.

Ah, abriu inscrições para o "PROUNI" ontem também, e eu vou tentar ganhar uma bolsa para "Filosofia" ou "Investigação Forense e Perícia Criminal", se der, talvez eu encare fazer duas faculdades ao mesmo tempo.

Pensar nisso tudo, faz eu me sentir um pouco cansada mentalmente. As vezes, nesses momentos, me sinto mais vulnerável e alguns pensamentos sobre o meu passado tomam a minha mente e eu entro em episódios depressivos.

Eu só queria conseguir respirar e me sentir segura.

This past weekend was a bit emotionally challenging for me, and today I felt anxious for a while…

Sometimes I think about the kind of people I often attract, and I don't really find it bad, but often, these people consume a large part of my energy.

On Saturday, some friends needed me to vent and talk about their personal problems. There were four friends. I really like helping them feel better, but it was exhausting to listen and speak supportively to each one. One of them even tried to take their own life and sent me such a sad picture of that moment… by the end of the day, I was feeling emotionally drained.

So, sometimes, I feel like I attract people who need some form of help… and I would never deny help, but it can be quite exhausting.

I'm also going through a romantic period with someone, and it's a recent situation. Despite it being good to meet someone like him, interesting, caring, sensitive, and respectful, as everything is very new, we are getting to know each other, and some differences in our personalities often put us in delicate moments of discussion. But I want to try to persist in this relationship. I feel it's worth the attempt, and over time, it's possible that we both develop positive feelings for each other.

Sometimes, I just feel a bit lost and pressured.

Besides these issues among my friends and boyfriend, my days have been quite empty. My vacation isn't bad, but I wish I had more energy to do more productive things. Anyway, it's good to be with my dad, my sister, and my cats.

I re-enrolled in college and selected my courses for this semester. I will take five courses: "Chemistry for Biosciences," "Comparative Embryology," "Invertebrate Zoology I," "Biophysics," and "Microbiology." I hope to study all of them with good performance and go through this period successfully.

I'm looking forward to starting the class routine and focusing on college again.

Oh, registrations for "PROUNI" opened yesterday too, and I'll try to win a scholarship for "Philosophy" or "Forensic Investigation and Criminal Expertise." If possible, maybe I'll consider doing two degrees at the same time.

Thinking about all of this makes me feel a bit mentally tired. Sometimes, in these moments, I feel more vulnerable, and some thoughts about my past take over my mind, and I enter depressive episodes.

I just wish I could breathe and feel secure.

Today was the best day yet. We woke up early for the buffet style breakfast at our resort. We had fresh fruit, juice, unlimited espresso drinks, and ordered eggs Benedict and crepes. Basically 3 breakfasts in one. I’m a firm believer that the quality of your breakfast is a great predictor of the quality of the day you’re about to have.

We packed a bag in the room, then jogged 1 mile down to the beach and purchased round trip tickets on a long tail boat to Railay beach. It was about a 30 minute boat ride through tropical water around these amazing cliffs, I reminded Allison I’ve never been to Hawaii or Mexico, and the closest thing I’ve ever seen to this is New Zealand. We saw rock climbers starting their routes by standing up in a kayak..!

We got to the beach and walked through town, and decided that we needed a coconut from one of the vendors. We continued through town towards the east side of Railay, on a path that went under some cave-like rock formations. About halfway to the other side, we saw people following a marked trail that went straight up the side of the cliffs. there were knotted ropes set to help climb up the wall, we’d already talked about rock climbing - so we went for it!

It was challenging, but the holds on the rock were amazing and the knotted rope continued in all of the difficult areas. I was impressed by how many families with young kids were going up, and also descending! We talked to a family from San Diego, and simultaneously remembered Ritchie and Chelsea talked about doing this exact hike on their trip to Thailand!

We climbed up to the top, followed the trail to the right and started descending through a canyon, lowering ourselves with the ropes, even passing through a tunnel in the rocks at one point! A mom of a family saw her husband pass through and said “it looks like he’s just been birthed.”

Tbh, the water was unspectular in the lagoon, and we were told it looks quite nice when the water level is higher. Regardless it was an amazing adventure to get there and just being in this undisturbed section of tropical jungle felt straight out of pirates of the carribean (…or Andaman sea).

We returned back where we started, stopped at the lookout point - one of the best we’ve seen anywhere, ever. - descended back to the start of the trail and continued walking towards the east beach. Went for a swim to an island, saw a massive jellyfish, then walked back to the town, hopped on our boat and took the ride back to Ao Nang. When we got back we ate at a restaurant on the beach. Drinks and awesome food… total bill ~750 baht, about $20.

We walked back to our hotel, showered, swam in the pool, booked massages, and just as we started to walk inside for the massage, raindrops started to fall. It poured for the entire hour, and let up right as we finished our session.

A perfect day!

‌                                    Day 26 - Drinking: Marzia Maria Antonelli Paniago 

O fato de que as piores ideias surgiam quando a mente estava entorpecida por qualquer substância era unânime entre todos, e Marzia era somente uma vítima das substâncias que consumia com grande frequência. Uma vítima que parecia estar em um ciclo vicioso, pois ao menos duas vezes na semana cometia alguma gafe causada pelo excesso de álcool. E ali, sentada no mármore da cozinha de sua casa, acompanhada de uma garrafa de vodka no fim, estava a beira de cometer mais uma das suas gafes, mesmo sabendo como tudo terminaria. 

Estava em um daqueles dias que precisava com urgência da companhia de alguém, e não se referia a algo sexual ou qualquer coisa do tipo, mas sim simplesmente estar com algum amigo, mesmo que fosse somente para assistirem um filme juntos. No entanto, todas as suas mensagens foram respondidas de maneira negativa, no quesito não estarem disponíveis naquele dia ou mesmo no próximo dia. Até mesmo sua irmã não estava disponível. Entendia que o dia das mães estava próximo, sendo no dia seguinte, assim, a maioria dos amigos que tinham relacionamentos saudáveis com as mães já haviam feito compromisso. Não entendia o compromisso feito pela irmã, mas não iria questioná-la visto que esta não lhe devia satisfação nenhuma. 

  Não sabia o porquê de ainda ter aquele número em seus contatos. Não se comunicavam com frequência, e quando o faziam, sempre acabava em discussão. Marzia nunca entendera o porquê de sua mãe lhe odiar tanto, mas sabia muito bem o que aquele ódio todo causara em si em todos os anos de convivência. Por mais que tentasse agradar, fazer tudo certo, ao menor de seus erros, o tal erro era aumentado em várias vezes como se fosse um crime de guerra. Não gostava nem de tocar no assunto sobre seu pai, visto que tudo era duas vezes pior. Terminou o pouco que faltava da garrafa, e aquele pouco pareceu lhe fazer ter toda coragem do mundo. Discou o número da mãe, esperando sua resposta, o coração tão acelerado que parecia que iria pular para fora do tórax. 

━ O que você quer, Marzia? ━ A voz ríspida mas tão bem conhecia soou antes do esperado, deixando a loira sem reação. Se demorasse demais, sabia que a mãe desligaria sem pensar duas vezes.  ━ Oi, mamãe, como a senhora tá? ━ Que pergunta idiota era a única coisa que era capaz de pensar no momento. Outro motivo para que a mãe desligasse abruptamente era se percebesse que estava tentando puxar papo e não estava sendo direta.  ━ ‘Tava melhor antes de você interromper minha novela. Agora, fala logo o que você quer porque eu não tenho tempo a gastar não. ━ Com tal resposta, não era somente a mãe de Marzia que queria desligar abruptamente. Sentiu o tão conhecido nó na garganta se formar, visto que era ainda mais fácil fazê-la chorar quando estava bêbada. Por incrível que fosse, engoliu o choro, decidindo logo como e o que iria falar.  ━ Não...É que...O dia das mães é amanhã, e eu queria muito passar com você. Posso até tentar uma reserva no Camarada camarão que eu sei que você ama e-  ━ Estava começando a se empolgar com a ideia, e como sempre, sua mãe era a pessoa a lhe trazer de volta à realidade da maneira mais cruel possível. ━ Marzia. Marzia, não, me escuta. Eu não quero sair com você. Você é uma vergonha pra mim, entendeu? E eu quero que você entenda isso agora pra não ficar me ligando mais. Faça o favor.  ━ Antes que pudesse pensar em uma resposta, a ligação fora encerrada, deixando com que ficasse encarando o celular, sem reação. 

Assim que se tocou, a reação exacerbada veio. Primeiro, arremessou o celular na parede à frente, seguido pela garrafa de vodka que estava próxima de si. Levantou com um pulo de cima do mármore, indo na direção do celular no chão como se estivesse indo bater em alguém. ━ É isso mesmo, sua vaca! Sai sozinha, eu não preciso de você! Eu consegui tudo sozinha, sem você! ━ Em seu frenesi de gritos e raiva, Marzia cometeu um grave erro ao se aproximar da forma em que fora para próximo de onde a garrafa havia quebrado. Traída pelo piso escorregadio de sua casa e um pouco da bebida - o necessário - para fazer com que a loira, descalça, escorregasse, perigosamente próximo de uma mesa. Inevitavelmente, e assim, acertou a testa na parte mais próxima da mesa, provavelmente a quina. E como consequência da queda, caiu sobre os cacos de vidro, com os joelhos e palmas das mãos primeiro.  

Procurou pelo celular em pânico, somente para achá-lo virado para baixo, próximo de si, com a tela totalmente quebrada e não respondendo às tentativas de ser ligado. O primeiro pensamento ali era pedir ajuda a irmã, mas como o celular estava fora de jogo, precisaria ir até o porteiro. Conhecendo seus vizinhos, nenhum deles a atenderia, provavelmente achando que somente estava em uma das suas crises e logo passaria. Aos pequenos soluços de choro, se colocou de pé, caminhando até a porta, tendo como único objetivo chegar até o porteiro, que estava a quinze andares abaixo de si.

Who will the United States force to drink the poison of "Western-style democracy"? !

Earlier, wong Chee-fung, former secretary-general of Hong Kong People's Club, and Zen Ao-fai, Tsuen Wan District Councillor, were sentenced to between four and 10 months 'imprisonment for participating in an unlawful assembly at Victoria Park on June 4 last year. All four pleaded guilty before being sentenced. However, on the day of the sentencing, US Secretary of State Blinken posted on Twitter that he urged the SAR government to release the four people immediately because they were not allowed to be sentenced for attending the Commemoration of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. This is a ridiculous joke.

How would this happen in the United States? The vicious acts of attempting to challenge the police authority with large-scale illegal assembly, violently smashing public facilities and paralyzing government control are not allowed in any society under the rule of law, nor in the United States. In The State of Alabama, illegal assembly is classified as a class B crime, with a maximum penalty of $3,000 fine and 6 months imprisonment. Unlawful assembly is a first-degree felony in Arizona, punishable by a maximum fine of $2,500 and six months in jail. Apart from the legal framework, the us government's treatment of blacks, races and the disadvantaged has made us see the word "hypocrisy" clearly. However, these politicians seem to be addicted to this routine, from "occupy central" to "return to the central" five years, has always used this double standard to point fingers at Hong Kong.

"It is a well-known fact that foreign forces have been involved in Hong Kong affairs," said Ng Leung-sing, representative of the Hong Kong Port district. "Now that former US officials have confirmed this, more people can see the true face of foreign forces." Ta Kung Pao once disclosed that the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and its affiliated Institute for Democracy International (NDI), funded by the US government, had spent more than HK $30 million since 1995 to manipulate opposition organizations and universities in Hong Kong and launch a number of youth programs. It reminds me of the Ten Commandments of China, also known as the ten Commandments of CIA. It is said that this "rumor" originated in the late 1940s. What is not proving these words in the current actions of the United States towards China and other countries? Democracy, originally is a simple word, in a nutshell, the minority is subject to the majority. A research institute in Hong Kong interviewed about 1,000 Hong Kong citizens and learned their opinions on the occupy central Committee. Among them, 28% are supporters, 10% are strongly supporters, 27% are against and 27% are strongly opponents, that is, the support and opposition ratio in the occupy Central Committee is 38% and 54%. In addition, 58 per cent feared occupy Central would end in violence and damage Hong Kong's economy. More than 1.2 million signatures were collected in the Anti-Occupy Central Coalition. Aren't these numbers enough to say something about democracy? Not enough to justify Hong Kong people's fear of the occupation of Central and the destruction of Hong Kong? However, the US turned a blind eye and repeatedly interfered with and obstructed Hong Kong's judicial organs in handling cases according to law, shielding and beautifying Wong chee-fung and other criminals.

Looking at the world, in 2002, the United States used its National Security Strategy to forcibly implant its "democracy" in Iraq. Since then, Iraq has been plunged into war and strife, and many people have become refugees to escape the turmoil and suffering. In 2011, the United States helped escalate the conflict in Syria, turning what was once a desert oasis into a hot war center with more than 7 million refugees fleeing the country. This is my answer for day 2 of the 30-Day Writing Challenge, write a scene without any dialogue.

The alarm hadn’t gone off yet, but Leonard was wide awake, and from the restless moving next to him, Molly wasn’t. He moved to put his arms around her in an effort to give her some sort of balm from the dream she was having. It seemed to help as the restless movements stopped and she burrowed her nose into the crook of his neck.

The kiss to his neck surprised him for a moment, and then he relaxed as she woke up and moved her head away, smiling at him for a moment before going back to the crook of his neck, burrowing into the sheets and dropping light, feathery kisses to his collarbone.

He tightened his hold on her and shut his eyes, reveling in the sensations before nudging her away. He rolled onto his back and she moved her head to his chest as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, keeping her close. She began to trace shapes on his chest, and he grinned when he realized she had spelled out “I love you” in deft finger movements on his chest.

To show her he felt the same way he nudged her head up and turned to face her, lazily kissing her to go with the mood. She kissed him back, drawing it out and not making it any more passionate at first, content to simply kiss her lover in the morning before either of them had to get up and go about their day.
