10 years ago, Michael Schumacher had his tragic skiing accident and we all don't know how he is now. But one thing is sure, he isn't the same as before anymore, otherwise we would've heard from him, after everything that happened.
Michael Schumacher always was my childhood idol. Everything was about Schumi for me. And he still is one of my two biggest idols. Everytime I was asked, as a kid, what I want to be when I'm grown up, I alsways said "Schumi". I hope we will some day hear from him, even though I doubt it. I wish him and his family all the best.

My mom today is asking me who is Carlos and why she hasn’t heard of him before. She doesn’t follow sports so the only names in F1 she knows are Alonso and Hamilton. Now she knows Carlos Sainz.

bestie PLEASE share your tinhat brocedes thoughts,, even under a read more or something. pls.
ok im fully aware this is delusional
everyone thought lewis' move to mercedes was career suicide... he was going from a team he won a championship in to one that had their first win in 50 years in 2012 (thank u Nico), the team schumacher went to get beaten by a rookie in. going from a mclaren which scored 378 pts in constructors to merc which had 178 in 2012....... like it was clearly a worse car, a very daniel esque move and everyone at the time speculated it was for the money.
Lewis' own reasoning was "Mercedes were a part of my team before. So it was McLaren and Mercedes throughout my racing career, and then they went and bought their own team."
his mercedes connection? driving Mercedes' Benz Mclaren, the karting team keke made so that nico and lewis could be teammates.
nico had a pretty unremarkable career until merc domination era, it took 200 gps for him to win a race. mercedes as a midfielder was the best he was gonna get and no one could predict merc unflopping itself in the hybrid era. actually when he wins monaco for the first time, (his real home GP), he says on the radio, "what a car you guys have given me." and you can hear the awe in his voice. this isn't relevant but it's a happy memory for me.
the point is nico did not have the career mobility lewis did in terms of changing seats. lewis took a gamble for merc, and it worked out better than anyone could've ever imagined. a true leap of faith. a lot of factors influence a move like this, not just one thing -- not just money. ultimately you have to believe it's the best move for You.
I'm not saying lewis moved to merc for nico. I'm saying they wanted to be teammates in f1 since they were kids, and become world champions. The Prophecy. and however small it was, it probably made a difference in who his teammate was going to be, finally, once again.
"come on mate, we haven't got long before we maybe team mates again!" -2003 Lewis Hamilton Team mate 2000-01 MBM

That (soon to be without a seat) Ferrari driver’s fans are insufferable. They’ll agree with that man who likes to name drop Lewis’ name whenever he feels like it.

I don't see the point in ferrari. If they're moving to hamilton as their main guy why keep charles instead of carlos? Didn't everyone said carlos was there to be the second driver? So why not keep him then.
you can thank elkann for this decision and ask him what his thought process was there
