New F1 Sprint procedure and regulations

The sprint format changes again in 2024. This time the qualifying on friday will be the sprint shootout, so it will determine the grid positions for the sprint race. That sprint race then will be held on saturday morning, while the qualy for the main race keeps it's spot from the standard weekends, on saturday afternoon. Also there will be two parc fermes during sprint weekends. One from the sprint shootout on friday until the end of the sprint race on saturday morning. Afterwards, the teams are allowed to work on their cars and change some setup things. Then there will be the second parc ferme from the beginning of th qualy on saturday until the end of the main race on sunday.

Overview of a sprint weekend

Friday:

(morning) Free Practice

(afternoon) Sprint shootout (start of parc ferme 1)

Saturday:

(morning) Sprint race (End of sprint race = End of parc ferme 1)

(afternoon) Qualy (start of parc ferme 2)

Sunday:

(afternoon) Main race

Also the teams are allowed to use 4 engines instead of 3 this season, to compensate the additional load of the sprint races. And the F1 is discussing to allow the teams to assemble a third chassis more completely than in the previous years, to make it possible for a driver to take part in the main qualy if they get involved in a big crash during the sprint race.

Have to share what I dreamed last night and the fact that it finally happened to be about formula 1 and not skijumping or random shit.

In my dream the drivers somehow found some fanfictions in which some situations that happened in reality were described pretty detailed. This made them think that it's probably impossible that the author is just a random fangirl/fanboy and they started to ask everyone about it.

Some day the author published a Webonso Oneshot that was based during the times were Mark was at Redbull with Seb and after Fernando read the story, he immediately tried to find Mark and asked him whether he told someone about this certain situation or not. And Mark confesses that he told Seb about it, but no one else.

So Fernando runs back to the drivers and when they all are together, Fernando drops what he found out and that Seb might be the one who writes all those stories. Everyone was shocked and they all debated how they'd deal with that.

In the end they decided to call Seb and tell him everything they know and thats in his hand to stop, but they also don't care as long as he doesn't write about explicit situations he whitenessed, especially not about those that happened in the last two season with relationships that still last.

And Seb was like "Thanks for letting me be a fan" xD

Now that the season is over I'm still sad that Mick won't have a permanent seat for next season but I'm more than happy that he left this sh*t team.

Today they proved once more that he deserves so much better and that they treated him like sh*t.

Stopping him from talking to other teams and giving him false hopes, sabotaging his races and stuff. And especially Steiner didn't stop talking bad about him. Like his lack of experience and he needed to be carried by the team. First of all you signed a rookie what did you expect?! 🤡And to the second point how did he managed to finish before Kevin several weekends when you didn't sabotaged his race? Yeah Mick made mistakes but like I said he's kinda still a rookie and therefore he makes mistakes...

Hope Mick will comeback stronger in 2024.

I don't really have anything against Hülkenberg and Kevin but I hope Haas will collect very few points next season and instead will collect a lot of DNFs, some very expensive crashes (where nobody gets hurt) and maybe some bad vibes in the team because Nico and Kevin won't get along or something like this

Charles race pace is superior in the majority of races

He finished more races on front than carlos.

More quali in front than carlos

Despite carlos winning last year, charles still finished on front of him in the standings, despite having more misfortunes out of his control.

You speak about charles mistakes or crashes, but if you actually look at the data, carlos number of mistakes and crashes last year is pretty much equal. It's just never given attention for some reason. And when it comes to 2022, everyone talks about charles crash in France but carlos gravel moments are forgotten

Over the whole three years, that's correct. I still see a trend since 2023 that's more going into the direction of Carlos. Sure he also did make mistakes, but most of the times, they weren't in such important moments than it was with Charles (France 2022, Imola 2022 for example). Like I said, for me, both drivers are almost equal with the slight upper hand for Carlos. I simply would've kept both of them instead of hiring Lewis.
