Background: Sent to Beta III to establish and observe of the first Deep Space Colonies. The Colony was powered by a prototype AI invented by the head of Starfleet's Advanced Research Division, Doctor Cornelius Landru. His true goal was an experiment in population control where he would rule the populace as a god. When Landru's true plans were revealed the crew of the Archon tried to stop him, but Landru's technology was so powerful it pulled the Archon from the sky. The only survivors were those on the ground who had not yet succumbed to Landru's control. They built a temple to Landru out of Archon's remnants. The entire mission was scrubbed from Starfleet records and only existed in rumour.

I need you to know your dash is peak vibes for me. But since this is for asking questions, I'll ask this: How do you compare Shatner's Kirk (TOS movies and TV shows) to Chris Pines's Kirk (Kelvin Timeline movies/AOS movies)?

Oh thanks! 😊 And I kind of view them as separate and like them for different reasons, so I don't really compare them per say. I mean if I had to pick I'd pick TOS, but I'm not one of those fans that hates the AOS movies either

Just posted the first chapter to my new AOS academy-era mckirk fic!

Summary:

Starfleet Academy is hosting a formal dance, and Leonard has little interest in attending. But once he lets it slip that he didn’t go to prom in high school, he suddenly begins receiving anonymous letters from a mysterious secret admirer. If that weren't bad enough, it’s made worse by the fact that Leonard already has a crush, and there’s no way some secret admirer is going to sway his interests away from Jim Kirk.

Name: Galileo

Type: Shuttlecraft Year: 2258 Background: Starfleet shuttle, attached to the Enterprise. Spock led a mission with Galileo to investigate the Murasaki 312 Quasar. Mission Crew included Chief Engineer Scott, Doctor McCoy, Pilot Latimer, Yeoman Rand, Officers Geatano and Boma.

The shuttle crashed landed on the surface of Taurus II due to ionic interference. With their chance of rescue low Spock ordered the attempt to repair the shuttle, using their phasers to restore a bare minimum of power. Latimer was speared by a local. They recovered his body but the native population attacked the shuttle with their considerable strength. They were dissuaded from further attacks by an electric pulse from the shuttle.

The Galileo was able to take off but their weight was too heavy to establish orbit. They were spotted by Uhura, who had a stolen a shuttle in an attempt to find them directly. The Galileo was presumably abandoned on the surface and destroyed.

Fic summary:

Chapter 3 summary: Leonard works on his midterms, receives another letter, and starts to wonder how much of his personal information Gaila is passing onto this stranger.

This chapter is dedicated to the best sandwich I ever ate.
