They know it logically, of course. Yet Euryphaessa does not feel the heft of its weight until the first time it manifests. The rush of their aether taking form in the glyph painted over their face in an echo of the newly forged red mask upon their chest. A symbol they once looked upon with reverence, now shining upon their own features.

Azem-- theirs is now the seat of Azem. They who have never aspired after such lofty heights, now stand amongst the tallest; the Convocation itself.

Would that they could be worthy of the honour.

Venat: - What beautiful beings. Such fragile, but I feel an incredible amount of aether. For what purpose? Or should I wait for your official presentation of this concept?

Azem: - I did it just for you. Venat: - For me? But... Venat: - Azem! What does all this mean?! This is... Azem: - This is my soul.

Venat - You have gone completely mad! Such experiments with the soul can destroy you! What were you thinking about?! Azem: - I was thinking about you. Azem: - Don't you like my gift? Venat: - How can I like it ... Azem: - It doesn't hurt. And it's not difficult. Just to tear off a part of the soul, to always be with you. Azem:  - Even if my physical vessel is destroyed, I will always be able to protect you. And our beautiful world. Azem: - Centuries will pass, but I will stay with you forever.

AzemApril Day 6: Pandaemonium

“Now, Iris,” Ares said, drawing his greatsword with a practiced ease, “You don’t have to hold back your power within the confines of this place, so don’t insult me by going easy on me!” Flames rippled across his frame as his aether ignited, licking their way up his blade as he settled into his stance. “Rest assured I won’t,” he growled.

Iris nodded, her brow lowered in a determined expression as she concentrated, willing a rapier to form in her clenched hand. This was Ares’ home field, this prison of creations deemed too dangerous to wander the land unattended, and now it would be her proving ground, where she could develop her skills to become worthy of the mantle Venat had passed to her. “I’m ready,” she declared, and before Ares could answer she was summoning more swords around her, ready to pierce at the flick of a thought.

Ares’ lip quirked in a faint smile. Her raw power was impressive, but it taken many weeks of training to hone in on and develop her talent to the point where she could summon tangible objects and not just lob balls of pure aether in vague directions. This promised to be an interesting spar indeed.

#AzemApril Day 2: Name

Talia enjoys having an unusual name, even if it has resulted in a lifetime of explaining that it isn't just a different spelling of Thalia and is pronounced Tal-ee-a. With Amaurotine society being the way it is, her name makes her memorable from the start!

As for surnames, her family name is Asev. Since Hythlodaeus took Hades' last name when they were married (which was before they met) after she joins their marriage she takes it as well and becomes Talia Moiraios.
