Happy Birthday to Hazel Levesque

I never read these books. I don’t read a lot of books by white men and I think I missed the window or whatever. I didn’t even realize there were Black people until some time in the last few years, when I noticed that Pearl had this one as one of their mains. I began to circulate the content, even though I don’t go here, because there is DOPE art for this girl. But, even though I have gone through a whole thing of reading books for a much younger audience, those are almost always Black books and authors, and I knew I wasn’t going to have a great time, because I kept seeing the girlies say how the fandom is racist.

Now... a few folk lied to me and said that wasn’t the case, but then we all seent it, didn’t we? We saw that young girl get attacked by them fiends, thus proving, what I already believed about the fandom from the girlies. But the girlies deserve things, and today is for the PJO Girlies (and Others that ain’t girlies, even though I mean girlies nongendered, I know that ain’t for everybody, so for the Black folk down at the PJO Fandom). For Pearl Nem.

Happy Birthday Hazel!!! The first character birthday I’ve done with their own shoutout. This also serves as a birthday present to Pearl, who is also a Sagitterrorist Sagittarius. Hopefully, this may help me to rebrand today, which is annually one of the hardest days of the year for me. I want this day to stop having power to make me miserable and instead, have the power to bring some joy.

Let’s talk about it. Once again, I do not go here. Idk if my baby sister ever watched this, but in passing, while curating this page, of course I stumbled across it, and noticed a few of them girls was looking a little bit of color, so here we are again.

Briar Beauty: I know that looks like a redhead white girl, but it’s the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and for me, that calls to mind Audrey Rose.

Hated Descendants, but I’m rooting for everybody Black, so Audrey had a Black granny, got some Black in her, and I’m claiming Briar Beauty too. I even got y’all a Briar Beauty face claim: Ruth Righi. Though I will admit, I got the idea from this post, upon realizing this is Sleeping Beauty’s daughter, I immediately was on board. I picked all teenagers for the FCs.

For the purposes of this list and on this page, whenever I say “dark skinned,” I mean a traditional brown crayon or darker. I grew up around Black people, so the words “dark skinned” do not mean the same thing to me as it do to some nonblacks.

This is absolutely a placeholder for me to fix all these tags whenever I have time for housekeeping. Little note: I have some gingers in my family, perhaps because we got a sprinkle of Irish in our ancestry (we do), or whatever other reason that genetics have for doing the things genetics do. I always liked the aesthetic of gingers and Black gingers in particular are not appreciated enough and Black women truly can rock anything, so whether natural redhead or artificially colored, I wanted red hair to have a space on this page and since today is National Redhead Day, I collected the tags I have right now.
