Holy shit bookfangeek's batch is terrible. It's one thing to modernize a classic theme like Alice in Wonderland, but these are all quite literally generic ass dainties with over stuffed patterns to make up for the lack of actual substance to the source material. Mad Hatter is the only one I can recognize without reading the names, and Queen and Jabberwocky is the only good ones.
Why is Alice being themed around a bird and skeleton? Why is the White Rabbit- who's character heavily revolves around clocks and time- being themed around poison mushrooms? Chesire Cat's been boiled down to a bunch of ghosts, and what the hell is going on with Caterpillar's arms? It looks like one of them is clipping through the dress.
Bottom row at least looks like effort was made to fit them to their inspiration, but all the obnoxious patterns on Hatter makes it impossible to like.
Art quality isn't stellar all around and none of these are worth the price tag. This is also the biggest solo mod batch we've gotten right? Really looks like someone's overcompensating for their lack of design skills and knows they wouldn't be able make a lot from an auction like one of the better artists on the mod team.
Sorry about the long rant, I was really excited because this is one of my favorite aesthetics and stories.
Honestly I would've loved to see mysthetic or hell even candylashes tackle this theme I feel like they could've popped off with it

Escapist Fiction is a magical girl comic about a lonely college girl named Tammy. To cope with her loneliness, Tammy took the appearances of a few random people around her college campus and put them (and herself) into a magical girl manga.
Everything was fine until Tammy accidentally brought her comic to life, overwriting the REAL people she included in her comic with their fictional personas. Now the group must work together to break the curse so they can get their memories back, while also making sure the monsters Tammy created don't take over the world.

just dropped by to say it’s crazy how not a single one of the bookfangeek mod batch designs serves even a little. I cannot believe they’re going to sell for 100 bucks a pop just because they’re dainties because they’re some of my least favorite mod designs in a while.

And yeah, I think 100$ each is ridiculous for any on-base design. I also think it's kind of unfair to other mods who only got to do like 1 or 2 adopts though
