can we talk about Phil and Jaiden today and their interactions after Jaiden finally shows her wings because I’m going crazy.

Jaiden showing off her wings for the first time to Phil, and Phil both happy for her and also insanely jealous, because why did she get to keep her wings, while his got clipped so badly he needs his backpack to counterbalance the weight he lost - or at least the weight he looses having to keep them close to his back.

and the whole time they’re talking in a group, hanging around spawn, Jaiden is perched somewhere above the group. up in a tree, moving from branch to branch, or against the wall, or right on the top of that lamppost. Phil, on the other hand, stays sat on the bench the entire time. grounded.

and every time Jaiden hops from perch to perch, he looks specifically at her. zooms in whiles she’s sat on the lamppost even as he continues conversation. its such a small detail but really helps punch in just how much Philza can’t let it go, can’t stop wishing that he could do the same.

Okay but a thought of mine given new rise by the animated intro after having it niggle at the back of my mind for months now are Ludinus and Otohan as villains and who’s going to be standing as the final big bad at the end of the campaign, the way Vecna and Lucien did for c1 and c2.

Because the obvious answer is Ludinus. He’s the instigator, the leader of the cult, a villain in the making for 2 whole campaigns and over a thousand years (not to mention the one who's actually interacted with the party outside of fights). But Otohan is the one standing center stage of the villain line-up in the opening. She’s the one shown actively fighting the party. And, more importantly (as narrative matters more than barely glimpsed easter eggs), she's the one tied to the history and setting of Marquet, who has actual stakes in the people there and has fought for (and against) them before in the Apex War (while the place Ludinus called home was torn down centuries ago, leaving him caring for seemingly nothing but his ultimate goal since). She’s the one who’s actually Ruidusborn, and she’s tied to the Luxon as well with her strange magic. And despite all this, she’s mostly passed under the radar so far, given very little developments or motives or history or even personality. She’s little more than a cool aesthetic and a handful of threats.

And here’s my thought: maybe that’s on purpose. Ludinus, in his great arrogance, has placed himself as the greatest threat, and he’s being treated as such by the Hells. But is he? He steals immortality, appropriates the very concept of being Ruidusborn while holding a secret resentment for lacking the very powers it grants. He barely knows what he’s doing, and certainly not what he's about to unleash. And is there anything more satisfying than seeing a deeply arrogant and hubristic villain taken down by his own folly in underestimating those around him? So what if, as the final fight edges closer, the person actually holding the powers Ludinus pretends to steps up out of the shadows she placed herself in, keeping her motives to herself, barely remarked upon by Ludinus or the Hells or the audience, and personally cuts him down and takes her place as THE exalted Ruidusborn?

since rosquez r biker boyfriends i thought it wouldn't be fair to not talk about whos the backpack and whos actually controlling the bike if they had to share a ride since rosquez is a relationship so lopsided in terms of height either possibility is hilarious but im more inclined to thinking vale would be the backpack just for the funny factor alone imagine his scarecrow ass hanging off the back of a bike a literal half a head taller than marc even sitting down marc all serious in like black riding gear and vale with a giant yellow smiley face helmet but also that aside vale would looove to just sit back and let marc boss the bike around its hot and his hands would never leave marc's waist other than like to squeeze a tiddy or marc's thighs they r 100% that pda couple who both do bikes u know the ones and then marc would miss a turn because he got distracted which vale thinks is soooo funny they're not in a rush anyways...marc hears vale's muffled laugh through the helmet even over all the traffic and decides to get him back by braking hard at the next stop signal...vale's hands clamp down and he slaps marc on the helmet once they come to a complete stop but marc knows he's joking. theyre both so in love.

I have finally posted Kirby's kids in that AU good god. The smaller one, Nova, yall've already seen, on day 9 prompt and some asks with Tiff and Tuff in this AU - it's Nova, or Lil' Nova, the first Astral born after purifying Void Termina. They're adopted by Kirby and just so happen to share his unique quirk of having Copy Abilities.

The bigger one is Chiffon, Kirby and Fluff's daugther! They've made her via Yarna method of combining threads, so she ended up being mostly an Astral with some Yarna traits - like the whip tail, for example. She's the princess of Patchland but REALLY doesn't want to become queen any time soon.

I just love amenities!!!! We need more of them!!And tbh this love mostly comes from wanting to not feel like I need to pack everything for the day into a tiny fanny pack & be dressed to run a 5K in order for my outfit to feel "practical"! Give me somewhere to put my damn hat & coat!!
