Broke my sewing machine so I couldn't make plush ornaments like I planned but these little frames have been sitting in a desk for over a year.
Don't ever let anyone tell you hoarding craft supplies isn't worth it 🤣

I finished all the ornaments from my festive stardew valley cross stitch pattern. The bead work took forever... and now I'm decorating my Christmas tree

I’ve been working on these for a while, but took a break to do the pumpkins. I really love Mill Hill kits and these have been fun to do.
Not sure what I’m going to do with them yet 🤷♀️
I’ve finished the first two sets and I’m working on the third.

As promised, here's a Google drive containing a free pattern for a blackwork ornament, with instructions and images showing how I assembled it. If you make one of these and post pictures, I'd love to see them!
Stitches used:
- back stitch
- double running stitch
- ladder stitch
- blanket stitch
Materials:
- Aida cloth (I used 18-count)
- embroidery floss (I used 6-strand cotton DMC floss in colour 991)
- cotton sewing thread
- stuffing or fibre fill
More ornaments I've made this way are here, here, and here. Here's a set assembled the same way, but using cross stitch rather than blackwork.
