Scottish TV
I recently found the series Dr. Finlay on TV. I have been a fan of David Rintoul (not his given name, I know), and received a signed photo of him from his management way back in the 80s, after I first adored him as Mr. Darcy on the PBS version of Pride and Prejudice. I first saw part of Dr.Finlay in the 90s. And now I have seen the whole series.
My photo of David is hanging in my "Rogue's Gallery", and I have seen later photos of him with a white beard. But I still saw him as the man I first saw back in 1975.
One note about Dr. Finlay; I got to see his naked backside in one episode, and he was wearing a kilt, and I just melted at the look. I need to search out his real name, and then look up my book of tartans and find out what tartan he was wearing in this photo from the 90s.
If any of you Scottish folk have any further information about him, please let me know. Especially if he is still living (I think he was a couple of years younger than I am) back when I first met him.

is the flight of the heron tv show good? or is it a waste of time?
Good Question. It's Definitely A Television Show That You Can Hypothetically Watch*
...I have mixed feelings on it - it's definitely not comprehensible without having read the book, which probably explains why it remained obscure, and the lighting can often make it hard to parse, since it's shot in black and white. I have a bit of a fondness for it, since the costumes are pretty well-designed (which isn't as often the case in more recent eighteenth-century tv) and the actors are doing well/at least interestingly with a somewhat dubiously paced script.
if you feel the need for more FotH, I would say it's worthwhile to give it a try, but it's not necessarily anything to write home about. to make a long story short, it's not Wonderful but it did make me cry multiple times, albeit because I watched it when there was hardly any art related to this book in my area of view and just Seeing the characters with my eyeballs was enough to make me overjoyed. thus, take anything I say about it with a grain of salt.
*I assume you mean the 1968 show - if you've found a way of watching the 1976 one**, I'd be overjoyed to hear about how exactly you managed that!

@anghraine has sometimes complained about the Jane Austen fandom's tendency to insist that Darcy must look like Colin Firth. So I thought I'd see if that same tendency is common on Tumblr or not.

this is so important to me
I love pride and prejudice. It is hard to explain how much I adore this story. I collect pretty copies of the book.
I know that people have opinions about this, and goodness knows I have 👏plenty👏 but I will spare you. Please vote for what your favorite is, and if you have thoughts, share those too! I would love to hear y’all’s opinions.
