The Search of Mr. and Ms. PWD 2023 is all set in Dumaguete

DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- Persons with Disabilities' Affairs Office (PWDAO) and the local government unit (LGU) of Dumaguete City is all set for the upcoming coronation and finals night.

Six groups of individually selected barangays to be participated and locally held during the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week from July 17th to 23rd, 2023.

Not only for this local pageant event, Dumagueteños and Negrosanon people are witnessing whom will be the 1st Mr. and Mrs. PWD 2023.

On the other hand, a hometown PWD representative of Brgy. Pulantubig named Rhayniel Saldasal Calimpong, who was a freelanced news writer, online broadcaster, founder of OneNETtv Channel and a digital news presenter of OneNETnews is participating the event at the Tayada sa Plaza stage, beside Dumaguete Press Club under Choy Rodriguez Gallarde (a radio reporter of 96.7mhz DYEM-FM's Bai Radio and anchor of SkyCable Dumaguete's Balita Karon Negros). Pulantubig president of PWD named Antonio Seroma takes part it, while a potential Motong PWD president to collaborate their tandem of pageant individuals.

As they are preparing to represent all the local barangays of Dumaguete, the 1st Mr. and Mrs. PWD 2023 will be held at the Patawan People's Park, a few meters before Rizal Boulevard on July 23rd, 2023 at 7pm (Dumaguete local time).

Cash prizes will soon to be determined from the officials and who will be on top to the fullest for the next Mr. and Mrs. PWD 2023.

Ajusté cuentas con el pasado y con mi cicatriz, pero aún hay cosas que siento que tengo que decir, me convertí en un guerrero, pues empecé una guerra y me dio igual llevarme por delante lo que fuera, el lema era que "el fin justifica los medios" y no había nada más; tal vez estaba ciego, demasiado implicado, ese fue el fallo, hoy sé lo que hice mal, joder, ahora ya no me callo. Intenté abrir un circulo que a primera vista estaba cerrado. Mi parte racional se había nublado, ni siquiera pensaba si lo que hacia estaba bien o mal porque eso daba igual ¿dónde está mi moral? hice amistades solo por la puta conveniencia de sentirla cerca, poder verla, conseguir tenerla, un cabrón sin escrúpulos y egoísta que no hacia nada mal al menos desde su punto de vista; manipule y mentí para pasar tiempo contigo, me enfrente furioso a mi familia y mis amigos, sin duda tenia que haber sido mucho mas listo, leer entre lineas lo que hacías para haberlo visto, perdone lo imperdonable, sin pensar seguí adelante sin dudar de ti, joder, ni un puto instante; llore más cuando me dejaste que cuando se fue mi abuelo, que injusticia que tú siempre fuese lo primero.

Después de tanto aquí me ves reflexionando sobre en ti otra vez, sobre lo que en el pasado no pude entender, sin pensar en lo que pudo haber sido y no fue.

Lo imposible cada vez estaba más cercano, tanta lucha poco a poco fue menos en vano, sin embargo el camino seguía siendo veneno aunque ya estabas tú para allanarlo y que costase menos; tan perfecta que daba miedo creer que fuese real joder, yo por esa princesa tenía que luchar, lo vi todo tan claro, no había nada malo, me enamore tan fácil que me asusta recordarlo, fuiste difícil, casi inalcanzable pero al fin después de tanto cambiaste el no por un si, me prometiste un siempre claro y yo me lo creí, y recuerdo que entre llantos gritaba "Lo conseguí" triunfará el amor dijimos, convencidos, seguros de nosotros, casi comprometidos; veía un horizonte despejado y claro, pero el siempre que salio de tu boca se quedó en el pasado, te fuiste sin darme ninguna explicación, te alejaste como  lo hace por la noche del sol, adiós futuro, adiós mis sueños, adiós lo que se dijo, adiós a los nombres que pondríamos a nuestros hijos; te entregue el universo que me pediste y me dijiste ya no quiero que luches por mi ¿no suena triste? no te vayas por favor, no escondas lo que sientes, prométeme que volverás si te arrepientes.

Si pudiese no volvería al pasado, hoy día soy feliz con lo que tengo al lado, ahora veo todo lo que paso con perspectiva, si tenia que pasar así, pues que la vida siga. Puse una balanza y así pude darme cuenta de la realidad y todo lo que me dio esta experiencia, y he aprendido a ser paciente, a no desfallecer, a ser constante y tener claro en lo que quiero ser; no me olvido de todo lo bueno que me diste, no te guardo rencor, sé que de verdad me quisiste; soy consciente de que tú también sufriste, luchaste aunque llegando a la orilla te hundiste; me motivaste a querer ser mejor persona y lo lograste, puedo ver mi evolución ahora, me he vuelto exigente y procuro cuidar mis pasos, sigo luchando por lo mio, atrás quedo el pasado. Después de tanto hay varias cosas que saco en claro, di absolutamente todo y lo digo bien alto, no dejaré que el miedo se apodere de mi, solo porque ese sueño no lo conseguí, siempre estarás en mi recuerdo y serás especial, pasar página no va ligado a olvidar, después de tanto he comprendido que nunca jamas entenderán todo lo que tú y yo vivimos.

I HAVE A THEORY

Okay so I’ve been playing No Straight Roads lately.

Obviously, as it’s all I draw right now.

AND WHILE I WAS PLAYING THROUGH

Something odd came to my attention.

Now, we all know Zuke. Mellow drummer man with blue hair and a funky beard.

This is where we start. My theory is that his hair might have not always been blue.

“But Camo!” you may say “How do you know?”

The answer, my friends, lies within the character sprites. My theory is that...

...Zuke dyes his hair.

This may seem like an odd thing to make a post about, but I have too much time on my hands. anYWAYS.

What could possibly have given me this idea? Nothing in the game is ever said about hair dyem so how did I draw this conclusion?

One word. Eyebrows.

Now, in his 3d model, his eyebrows are blue.

But in his CHARACTER SPRITES, as I will show with an image...

The colour is just TOO DIFFERENT to be natural. Now, they look sort of purple in this shot, but in others they looked kind of reddish brown.

So, I think Zuke used to be a redhead. Why he dyed it? No fuckin clue. 

But maybe it has something to do with his brother? Who knows!?

Anyways, TL;DR Zuke was a red head before college and I think it’s cute so expect me to draw him with red hair sometimes.

It’s not even your birthday but I feel like it’s a nice time to write you something. Maybe you’re wondering why I liked your very first photo on instagram earlier and what was I even doing on your profile in the first place (hahah). It reminded me so much about our time together in college.

How we share the same room. Share the same first times. First time we wore our uniforms and how you were so good at tucking yours in and mine completely looked like it was my first time. Celebrated birthdays together. Missed each other’s 18th birthday which was so sad but I felt like it was so necessary. It only lead us to finally realize how important we are for each other. How we took a really great amount of time thinking about where to eat next because we were too shy to suggest or we’re just really not capable of making decisions about where to eat. Wasted our time playing the kardashian app. You’ve seen how I always sleep on our movie nights and pretended that I know what happened when the credits were finally rolling hahaha. And every minute we spend our time laughing so hard about literally everything kagaya nalang nung time na may Lasallian Test something and we really have to take the exams because it was ‘that important’.I shyly admited to you na sobrang sakit ng tyan ko that time and I couldn’t even think straight while taking the test so I took some courage to ask the proctor if pwede ba akong mag CR and after that I went all in HAAHAHAH. It was hilarious and NAKAKAHIYA!!! Walang available bidet sa JRN/JRF that time so just imagine what happened. Sobrang tawang tawa ka nalang and you told me that it was completely normal to feel those kind of things during exams. You we’re always there to laugh so hard about my screw ups and YET you are also the one who completely understands and you always comfort me nonetheless. I really miss those times!!! I also love how you were so worried about you missing my birthday because it was also your graduation day and you messaged ate Nell to check if I replied to her. I still have the chat saved in my photos and it made me bitter-sweetly laugh. I know I never said it before but I guess as one of my true friends you know that nag-tampo ako. But I really don’t want to admit it hahha coz ma-pride char!! But that time was also really emotional for me because it was a start of something new for the both of us. It was the start of lives living apart. Building our lives far away from each other after 4 solid years of being together!!!! Life was tough that time.

But even thought it was the end of something, it brought us new beginnings. I started to focus solely on my classes, you started applying and finally getting your first ever job. I found new friends, you found new colleagues and a boyfriend!!!!!! We finally have some space for different things. But despite our long lost time together, even if we are in our own separate ways, you still have a special place in my heart. 

I love you!!! Even if I don’t say it every day or for the next 123456789 years!!!! miss you!!! Let’s catch up soon.

I always and still believe you’ll go places, my precious as a ‘Dyem’ stewardess. <3

DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- One of the only longest-running weekly community provincial newspaper in Negros Oriental dubbed as The Negros Chronicle (TNC), celebrates its 50th Golden Anniversary. Founded in mid-June 1973, the ages of the Philippine Martial Law, only lasted for a year and a half of its 17-year rule, during the administrative presidency of the late Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralin Marcos Sr.

To kick-off a golden anniversary celebration, Dumaguete Mayor named Felipe Antonio Ipe Remollo congratulates to TNC during a public dinner Monday night (June 12th, 2023) outside the Dumaguete Press Club (DPC) on Rizal Boulevard, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental - around few meters before Pantawan People's Park.

Following a frequency swap and a radio transfer of ownership to DYMD-FM 93.7mhz of Ultrasonic Broadcasting System Inc. (UBSi) aside their issues of propaganda, TNC's family is headed by Station Manager of DYEM-FM 96.7mhz's Bai Radio (formerly Energy FM, per current founder of independent music, talk and news FM radio station of Negros Broadcasting & Publishing Corporation or NBPC), former flagship president's founder of the DPC, and a newspaper editor & publisher named Ely P. Dejaresco.

TNC's provincial newspaper company are all affiliated by the Philippine Press Institute and the National & Dumaguete Press Club.

We personally obtained an exclusive newspaper copy at 106 E.J. Blanco Drive, Brgy. Piapi, the said city and later relayed to the news stands of Hi-Top Newsmag & General Merchandise in Dr. V. Locsin Street. The newspaper tabloid costs PHP20 (around 40 cents U$D).

All of these years spent in the newspaper industry for print media are part of its historical journey like us. Numerous things have happened up to this point, both good and bad times. With a variety of fair and impartial viewpoints to the world of Negrosanon... Some pioneer of journalists, entrepreneurs and Dejaresco himself will continue making and delivering local and regional news to your traditional doorsteps in Negros Oriental that makes a bit sense of it all.
