literally losing my MIND rn over my inconsistent comma usage in my older prose (and probs my recent prose too lbr). i've somehow both overutilized them in countless run on sentences AND neglected my darling the oxford comma. like, it's fine for shitposts or texting or speaking or whatever bc who gives a shit abt grammar there, but for my own writing where i want to clearly convey my story without pesky mistakes?? it's absolutely essential!

i'm DEEP in english grammar hell rn and fighting for my life to wrangle this into something that i'm happy with. i've googled literally SO many fucking grammatical questions and words in the last week. i like to look up synonyms a lot so the word part is not unexpected, but i'm now paranoid abt checking definitions as well bc i've encountered SEVERAL blunders where i used a word that has an entirely different definition. usually it's uncommon homophomes or near-homophomes that i've mixed up, but sometimes it's just entirely different in meaning from what i thought it meant?? fuck my stupid baka life and fuck my stupid baka prose and FUCK my stupid baka native language

So...AO3 has kind of decided to side with the AI 'writers'. Saying their work is still 'transformative' even if a human didn't write it. I know the post on AO3 homepage has many in depth debates in their comments.

Many saying that it would be impossible to hunt down AI work, and encourage writers to not tag their work as 'written by ___(insert AI)'.

Others say the site allowing AI work is inherently spitting on the work writers put into writing. As the AI likely scanned sites like AO3 to train the platform.

Below, I am only asking if you (assumed AO3 author) will be locking your work to registered users to prevent AI from being trained from your work. If you want to elaborate in the tags, I would love that, but I couldn't think of a way to frame answers without my own bias.

#now for me i write 1-2 scenes. outline a scene/arc thats like a checklist. basically i slowly make my way through the checklist #some of my notes are vague about the plot. others are pretty explicit. #and because of that new scenes can get added. moved up. or moved for later. #i don't know i just won't remember ANYTHING about dialogue or the way the convo should flow if i don't write it out somewhere #but theres also plenty moments where i edit dialogue/remove dialogue/change the direction of the conversation after i take screencaps #because seeing the atmosphere and visuals can make me think differently. #but either wayyyyy i have a script to follow
