Answering some questions. Here we go!
Last song: esoragoto spiral in the Mikagura School Suite series by Last Note. Honestly, I'm surprised because I haven't been into the series for a while, but I was in the mood to listen to Gumi's songs lately.
Favourite colour: Any pastel colours! But mostly light pink!
Last movie/TV show: I haven't watched anything for a while, but I guess Stephen Chows' Justice, My Foot!
Sweet/spicy/savoury: I like sweets and savoury! But not much on spicy! ...Save for mild curry and wasabi (fun fact: I lost some bets and was made to eat a teaspoon of wasabi as punishment...)
Relationship status: Was in one, but single now. It was fun and still friends btw.

🍺 Minerva
Lousy clients and higher-ups have incessantly irked her days. Her fingers have cramped from all the constant sliding and pressing they do at the keyboard. Her back is strained from keeping a terribly arched posture while she wastes away at her cubicle. Her eyes have dried and reddened due to the bright light coming from the monitors, subtly shining over her face. Exhaustion and bad habits she repeats in order to maintain a ‘perfect’ workflow have got the best of her. But none of that matters anymore. The weekend has arrived, resetting the pains of the hellish 9 to 5 Minerva has become so accustomed to.
To celebrate the arrival of the upcoming two-day break, the techie and some coworkers decided to get some drinks at a nearby bar after work, though Minerva soon came to regret this decision since she knew she wouldn’t be able to back down from the plan later. Still, showing some childish signs of rebellion, she arrived at the bar fifty minutes later than what her work associates had agreed upon.
Handling her alcohol wasn’t an easy task for Minerva nowadays. She wasn’t the same old college girl who liked to party back in those times. She was getting closer to her thirties each day, and every time she went out to enjoy a pleasant night of drinks with her work buddies, she could feel her alcohol tolerance decreasing. A raging headache was not in her plans for tomorrow. Plus, she had grown too apathetic, mostly thanks to her current labor situation, to spend her free time with people who she associated with that terrible, terrible place. Not to mention how bloated she usually felt afterwards. At least she could drink her problems away for the night...
It would only take a couple of sips from her first drink for the chubby IT worker to temporarily forget her worries and lose her inhibitions. Soon, she was giggling at the silly comments a coworker made, or merrily humming the tunes of the poppy songs that played at the bar, all while prompting others to cheer and drink for whatever insignificant reason she could come up with. By the time Minerva was done with her first drink, rosy cheeks and a permanent goofy smile were already adorning her round face.
“Aaaaw! Don’t be a sourpuss! We all know you can handle more than that! Here. Take a sip from mi-hic-ne. Ehe!”
Oh no. Everyone knew that the moment the hiccups came out of Minerva’s mouth, it was over. The hefty programmer was what anyone would call a total lightweight, less than half a glass of a Mimosa or a Mojito being more than enough to get the techie tipsy.
“Let’s have another drink! Cheeee-Hic-eeeeeers!”.
Margaritas, Sex on the beaches, Sangrias, and Daiquiris were all ordered and downed, the amount of alcohol Minerva had consumed turning her from merry and giggly to straight up drunk as the hours at the bar went by. One by one, her coworkers would begin excusing themselves from the gathering, arguing they were too tired or that something had come up at home in order to leave. Truth was, they were more than a tad embarrassed to be seen with Minerva at the moment. It had been a while since she had downed that much alcohol in one night, and they weren’t willing to discover how the tubby techie acted when she was that intoxicated. So, Minerva was left alone with another coworker that didn’t have enough power or social skills to keep the techie restrained.
After chugging another pair of drinks, Minerva spotted a group of frat boys at the other side of the bar. She easily noticed that one of them had her eyes glued to her. The young man didn’t look too bad from the techie’s inebriated perspective. He was muscular enough and he had a handsome smile. Thinking to herself ‘Whatever!’ and going against her office partner's pleas, she clumsily stood up from her stool and ungracefully walked up to the group of college kids.
“Heeeey, handshome. Hic! You’ve kehpt your Hic! eyesh on little me all night loooong, haven’t youuu? Sho, Hic! you like older women? You jusht can’t he-Hic-help yourshelf, huh? Need shomeone to mommy you?”
At that point, anyone else would have been able to tell just how uncomfortable the young man felt by the whole situation, but Minerva was too wasted at the moment to even figure out how many fingers she had in total. Instead of stepping back and apologizing, she pushed herself against the man, grabbing him by the bicep and pressing her sloshy gut, which was pushing the buttons of her blouse apart, against his side.
“Ish okay, gilly soose. Let Mommy Minerva take gooood care of you. Ehe!”
Sweating up a storm, blushing madly, and not knowing what to do to combat the awkwardness of having a stranger’s plush belly shoved against him, the frat boy pushed Minerva to the side as gently as he could, excusing himself, and walking away from the bar with his friends before they could order a single drink.
The drunk woman almost tripped with her own feet, struggling to keep her balance. She had been rejected and humiliated. Tears welled up in Minerva’s eyes, quickly rolling down her puffy cheeks, as she gritted her teeth and clenched her fist in anger.
“Ooooooooooooh?! Sho you do like older women, but you don’t…you don’t even.. Hic! don’t like ‘em when they have a bit of eshtra meat on their bonesh?!
To emphasize her point, this ridiculously drunken version of Minerva lifted her blouse, allowing her overbloated belly to smack against her vast lap, squeezing the orb with both of her palms and giving it a firm shake.
“Walk away then, losher! You’ll never have your Hic! hunky hands over any of THISH!”
It wouldn’t be until the next day when she woke up on her coworker’s bed with her head buzzing that Minerva would realize just how much alcohol she had downed at the bar. And once her colleague told her about the not-so-little fit of embarrassingly drunk rage she had, Minerva would want nothing else but to disappear off the face of the Earth.
Her life was a mess. She was way messier...

Oh shit, it's over. I finished my Farscape rewatch (haven't seen it since I was a kid, so I didn't remember most of this stuff.) I actually really liked The Peacekeeper Wars! It wasn't perfect but considering that they had to condense a season into just a couple hours, I think they did really well.

Yes to all of this, though! They are both very much fucked up, emotional - what they both really need is some good therapy and a bit more of a steady lifestyle with a good support system. They don’t really get that, though (well Dante gets a kind-of-support-system).
Like, let me ask this - what the fuck did they do since Eva died? They were children. We see them again when they are near adulthood. Who took care of them? There was also nobody to help them work through their trauma, or to protect them from further attacks on their very lives - how the everloving fuck (excuse my language) are they supposed to grow up with a healthy and stable mentality? Right, not at all.
So they both kinda shove it all into a chest, shove the chest into a corner, bury it there, and never look in that general direction again.
Dante cracks that chest open and let’s a bit through when meeting Lady, because suddenly there is someone who could understand, who could relate, someone he can talk to. At least a bit, because let’s be honest, Lady isn’t that good at talking, either, she went through similar shit as Dante did and has similar issues.
Aka boys need hugs, need a blanket and a hot cocoa to take a break with and some really damn good therapy.

003 yeet!!! a lot of my rp partners don’t like renner and scarjo as clint and nat, and with good reasons too like i understand!!!! but...... as a film student u guys i feel like???? renner and scarjo really nailed it emotion-wise? for so long. for so long, we have arcs of both of them, at least for natasha, being sort of this? emotionless figure? or at least: this person who had to keep it together, or keep it 80% stoic. it’s nice to see scarjo being able to translate a more vulnerable side to natasha. and it’s also nice to have been re-established that clint and natasha are the true soulmates, platonic or romantic.
004 listen. i. i don’t agree with the whole steve/peggy thing. i actually? don’t mind their relationship as a whole? and i understand why it’s reasonable for the filmmakers to make it happen. for movies-after-movies, steve has always... pined over peggy. he never stopped, you know? i get that. buuuuuut i’m a big thing for like, the moving-on trope. no, i wasn’t entirely into steve/sharon either, but hey! at least boy’s trying to make something, you know? i feel like. and even though i COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND where steve is coming from, and that, after so long of fighting, he deserves THIS GOOD LIFE, but. i feel like, steve could really be a good, healthy symbol of: hey, so i’ve lost almost everything. but i won’t let that stop me. i have my best friend, i have a new life with new friends. peggy is the one i love, but she had her own life and she lived it till the end pleasantly, i buried her, and i can make it. i can move on, and i can be good while i’m at it. it won’t be easy, but i’ll try.
to be honest lmao and this might just be me, but steve going back to have a life with peggy truly destroys all of the characterisation that he’d had throughout the winter soldier ( since he started exercising + adopting latest trends, i.e. all of the signs that he was finally getting comfortable with the modern world and is adapting well ) and then, later, in civil war, when he’d finally accepted sharon as a romantic interest. it also clashed a lot with what they’ve pre-determinedly set for peggy in mcu:
peggy talked about a husband whom steve saved in the war.
peggy had already had two children with, i assume, said husband.
peggy, in her tv show, ended with her fully accepting that steve is gone. she’s moved on, as well. it wasn’t easy, but she did it. and she found a new love interest who she seemed to be so happy with.
not to mention, by re-establishing steve/peggy, they also destroyed my good boy’s daniel sousa’s whole character development. which, i guess, nobody but me cared about, but yeah. the lines:
“nobody would trade in a red-white-blue shield for an aluminum crutch.”
direct at sousa was a big insecurity factor to daniel’s self-esteem when he’d wanted to get peggy’s attention. but later, in spite of that, daniel rose in rank. he was promoted, recognised for his leadership, and through his hardwork and caring nature, he did manage to win peggy’s adoration. it was so, so good. and then mcu is telling me that suddenly daniel didn’t matter at all. i’m not saying that daniel/peggy were truly endgame because hey, maybe they broke up. maybe sousa didn’t make it and fell in the line of duty, and thus ending the relationship. buuut. i don’t think it was very nice of them to do that? like just? casting a lot of ALL THREE (steve’s, peggy’s, daniel’s) character development away? however, they wanted to put a bow and wrap steve’s story (also steve??? just leaving bucky like that??? im??? i have QUESTIONS). so. understandable, i suppose. bye, steve lmao.
005 tony stark and the whole stark clan broke my heart. tony immediately going by “potts”? amazing. i love him. i cried for him. my friend sobbed after him. AMAZING. it was a GREAT journey just growing up with rdj’s tony and i am HONOURED to be apart of this.

They're heeeee-eeeeeere! I never thought I'd be a Figure Collecting Person tm but I have been missing them since wrapping up Part 5 and could not resist the beautiful colorway on this set. For when you’re a gang, but you’re also a goth. (Why yes, Abbacchio is my favorite... why do you ask?)
Some things: I am not the original owner and my set was loved by someone else before it was loved by me. I imported the figures as a complete set from Japan and they did not come with boxes, which I don't care about personally - I do not buy things to resell them and don’t have BNIB mad money. (It is however why I was fretting a little bit about getting some surprise bootleg nonsense like the smooshed-face Giorno pen. Bless his heart.)
As such, I believe that wiggling during shipping is where the little bit of paint transfer on the backings came from, with little harm to the boys themselves. I'll clean it off when I put them on a shelf proper but I wanted to get some photos with good lighting. Also TOO EXCITED must assemble NOW.
And so I did.
Some things of note:
• Bruno’s zippers come off/go on/are the only real point of articulation here. They come helpfully numbered on the back but are a little precious about coming out.
• Panacotta’s little strawberries are delightful. He is, in particular, killing it.
• Bruno’s standing like a kid waiting for the bus for no explained reason.
• I neglected to take a picture, but the backing of Bruno’s figure is different than the others on the reverse. Instead of sharing the same rectangular pattern from the mold, it has triangles. This tracks with other photos of this set I have seen. Because he is standing on thoughts and dreams the peg on that wall is also set at a jaunty angle. (I thought it was broken... it was not broken.)
• They all line up quite nicely, except for Abbacchio, whose foot hangs over the edge because he is the biggest boy. You can put him on the end or he can please encroach into someone else’s personal bubble.
From what I can see comparing it to other photos, I can add my untrained experience to the belief that there are likely not commonly counterfeit, or at least this set is not. I love it and it makes my heart sing, but these are not complex figures with extremely fine molding detail like I am accustomed to seeing on pieces with substantially more expensive original retail price points. They are wonderful for what they are, which is I have read is a set of claw machine prizes from the early 2010s. There are so many beautiful details on the set, but there are still little blips like overspray on Mista’s figure in particular... that’s really it. The sum of the things I went “Aw peas.” over and then immediately forgot about 10 seconds later was that. Unless you have these a foot from your face, you will never notice.
I have now written a paper on these figures. May it do someone else some good. A thousand thanks of course to @cockneydio of course, whose knowledge of this set ran so that I could vaguely saunter.
