Ghost!Barbatos Headcanons

A/N: Day 3! This would be if Barbatos was a ghost in a non-devildom world. Just some silly little Barbi HCs

In this, Ghost Barbi just doesn't want his haunted residence to be bothered and disturbed.

He's a mostly civil roommate for anyone who moves into his space

unless the human moving in is messy and disrespectful

then he'll scare them out

throw some knifes

try (but not succeed) to smother the person with a pillow in their sleep

it was harmless

and they humans would leave in the middle of the night leaving with only a small bag

that's nice and all but now he was angry because his space had not only been disrespected but it was dirty

no ghost appreciates their place of death to be disturbed

when ghost hunters or just random people try to investigate, he would humor them with little tricks

whispers

tapping on objects

random dirty dishes suddenly disappearing and reappearing in the cupboards clean

y'know

ghost stuff

but should they get disrespectful, he takes out the trash

literally

he grabs them and throws them out the door

keeps his space clean from the filth

and so no one comes back for a long while

but you

when you move in

he doesn't give you a chance

he makes it known that he does not want you there

slams door in your face

you react with a "The wind is pretty strong today"

he writes on your steamed mirror

again, you respond with "That's neat."

it's infuriating to him that you've not taken off in fright

he'll have to try harder

he starts to give you nightmares while standing at the edge of your bed

or in the corner of your room

but yet you still stay

he hates you

he enjoys how the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as he whispers "Get out" in your ear

it angers him when you drop your mug and its contents spill all over a very old carpet

he lets out a chilling shriek

"I'm not leaving. This place is all I can afford."

he was surprised that you were cleaning up your mess

humans that came here were horrible

but you

you were pretty decent

you even put out traps for rats

he appreciated that

and he felt something in his heart for the first time since his death when you did a complete deep clean of the entire place

maybe you and he could co-exist in the same place

you must stay

forever

Estinien has no idea what he's doing

dies while trying to square up with the ghost

he forgets that he can't fight the ghost in-game

gotta find the ghost and tell him to go look in the cursed mirror?

he will

but he'll hold it for too long and cause a cursed hunt

honestly Estinien would be the one to mess with the cursed objects at first before realizing what they do and gets his teammates killed by accident

it's very important to note that he never dies during these cursed hunts

how? no one knows

often is the reason why the ghost is hunting

he's always messing with the cursed objects

by pure curiosity at first

but on purpose later on

he doesn't light the candles because he doesn't care to

he never has a lighter on him

the Ouija board, he just touches as asks it where it is

but never says goodbye so the board breaks

he pushes pins on the voodoo doll cause he doesn't get what it does

he uses the tarot cards cause he found them and can pull them

kinda pulls them like someone pulls the pulls petals from flowers

always pulls the death card

somehow never pulled the hanged-man card

with the music box, he just picks it off and turns it on or he chucks it

honestly he must have some plot armour cause he just never gets hunted

doesn't turn off his flashlight

but uses bits of speed to loop the ghost

somehow survives

he also buys so many items just in case

and blows all of his money

he does however get freaked out by the giggle of children when he's playing

in this setting in particular, it is unnerving

Blu stops in front of the water fountain. “Holy shit-”

She thought the motel room was a blood bath, this was even more fucked up. Instead of water, the fountain is running red with blood. Two bodies are thrown across it, even more on the ground. The doors to the church are wide open, with blood splatter all over them.

She only looks a moment longer before following the group inside the church. Inside there is more blood and death.

Bishop examined the room before turning his attention to Luz, “where is he?”

“I don’t know - I don’t feel him right now.”

Bishop points at her, “as soon as you feel something, you fucking tell us, got it?” he leads the way out, “we got 8 hours of sunlight left, come on.”

Realised I never posted about Frightfest 2023 and seeing Failure!

I won't write much but it was a fabulous weekend and I got to meet some really awesome people 😄 Failure! Itself was a great watch and I'm so happy to be one of the few fans to have seen it at this point!

Alex did a really great Q&A at the end , if I wasn't so tired I would have joined for the after party but London was so taxing on my social battery plus I had an early train back home 🥺

Happy New Year from JamieBamberDaily!

As a new year approaches, it’s time for our annual review of Jamie and his year!

The early months were quiet and it wasn’t until March that the first thing came in the form of a brilliant interview with Mark & Me Podcast. Earlier in the month, both Jamie and Kerry joined Kerry's former Bad Girls co-star Vicky Alcock at her acting class. According to a post over Christmas, "Jamie came to join us at Acting Up having written a fantastic screenplay 🤫 He shared his work with the actors- we did a full tableread then improvised some of the scenes over the month. Kerry Norton and Jamie then came back to watch what the actors had created. They were extremely impressed by their creativity, focus and understanding. Both Jamie and Kerry gave them advice, experience and understanding of what is required within the industry."

April was a busier month for Jamie. He celebrated his 49th birthday which we once again marked with a birthday video. The following couple of days saw Jamie travel over to Cannes to appear at the 5th Canneseries Festival with Lucie Lucas and Tamara Marthe to discuss his upcoming role in Cannes Confidential. Then April 21st saw the release of Titanic 666 on Tubi TV, the film was released exactly 110 years to the day of the original sinking of the Titanic.

May was also a chaotic month for Jamie and his work. May 2nd saw the release of the first episode of two of Jamie’s projects which were filmed last year; Signora Volpe and DI Ray. DI Ray continued for the following three days on ITV and Signora Volpe episodes released the next two Mondays. Also on the same day, Jamie started the first day filming of Cannes Confidential.

June was less busy, with only the announcement of his involvement on the judging panel of the Faber’s inaugural Imagined Futures Prize.

Filming on Cannes Confidential finished in late July after a incredible 3 month shoot. While DI Ray released on DVD in the UK.

A quiet few months followed until late October when horror film, The Lair released in the US after a few rounds at a few film festivals including FrightFest in London.

Finally, December saw the announcement of not one, but two Jamie roles for the new year. BBC’s spin-off to Death In Paradise, Beyond Paradise which he filmed around September-November in Cornwall, and Who Is Erin Carter (also known as Palomino) which was filmed in Barcelona, Spain in mid-to-late August. Also in that month Jamie returned to the stage for one night only in Uncle Glen’s Menagerie which took place at the Arcola Theatre in London, the event was in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are very much looking forward to Jamie’s projects to come in 2023, and with three announced already to come, we’re sure it’s going to be another busy year for him!

So to end the year, we would like to wish you all a very happy new year and a positive 2023!

The crucifix and the salt ironically. He likes them because of what they are, and what they could technically do to a demon like him if it was real. And he was interested in how they worked in the game.

None. He doesn't want anything to do with any of these objects. But he does like the van cause he ain't gonna leave it! But if he had to pick one object, he would choose the video camera because he can watch from the van.

He likes the parabolic microphone and the UV light. The motion sensor is a good way to tell where the ghost is. And the UV is good for looking for fingerprints. He would imagine himself to be fearless and cool with the objects like in any of the many paranormal anime he watches (example: Help! I Fell in Love with a Ghost when I was a Ghost Hunter and Now They Won't Stop Haunting Me!)

An object? Cursed objects count right? If so, the Monkey Paw. He loves to lock Lucifer in the room with the ghost. However, out of the basic objects, he would choose a thermometer. It is so fascinating for it to work the way it does in the game.

He likes the ghost writing book. He loves getting little messages from the ghost in the book. Like, the ghost's handwriting is just so elegant!

The spirit box was maybe his more favourable item. But that may be due to no one else wanting it. The sudden voices would scare or shock his siblings, but not him. So he would be sure to always take it.

The pillows in the bedroom.

. . .

If he had to pick an item, he might enjoy the candle and lighter. The candle he can just put down and leave, hoping the ghost will blow it out. Withe the lighter, he can can go light the candles of the summoning circle.
