the most irritating thing about Hope isn’t even about her directly. Obviously Klaus gets no time with her all of that development goes to Hayley. When he should at least idk had one those time jumps with Hope. If that’s the way they HAD to write that family. But in the same stance we’re told Hayley is a good almost perfect mother. Yet we don’t see that either.

Can I request poly!Mikaelsons when they find out Reader is pregnant. I loved the headcanons.
Yessssss let's go boys!
Warnings: Fluff, Soft!Mikaelsons, Protective!Mikaelsons
As much as it annoyed them, your lovers let you go on this little adventure of helping Hayley. The wolf had became your close friend after you lost the Scooby gang because they couldn't let go that you were seeing the Originals.
"I'll be careful Elijah. Hals won't let nothing happen to me." You tell your noble boyfriend who frown as Klaus rolled his eyes.
"No offense love but you are unbelievably dumb when it comes to trusting people."
"Niklaus!" Elijah said as you blinked tilting your head as Klaus raised an eyebrow.
"No.....I just like people."
"And there is nothing wrong with that baby." Elijah says softly kissing your head as Klaus smirked.
"Besides if you are harmed I'll tear the little wolf's thoat out." Klaus says as you shivered shaking your head getting peppered with goodbye kisses from Elijah. Both Rebekah and Kol gave you their own goodbye making Hayley blush watching Rebekah give you a heated kiss your face was burning as Kol chuckled kissing your cheek.
"Marking territory sister?"
"Just letting Hayley know who our bunny belongs to."
You and Hayley made it down to New Orleans looking for some leads about Hayley's birth parents and pack. You were in awe with the city as you made sure to call Elijah and Rebekah gushing to them how you were falling in love with the city and how you may not leave.
"So the witches think your pregnant with Klaus's baby?" You ask Hayley as she nodded. You and Hayley had been taken by witches as they believed that Hayley carried Klaus's child even though she was never left alone with Klaus.
"Damn it she isn't the pregnant one."
"What if the other one is." The witch named Sophie said and all the witches turned to look at you. Another witch you learned was named Sabine grabbed you pulling over to Jane Ann. They did the spell again then looked at your abdomen.
Klaus was pissed hearing that witches of New Orleans was plotting something against him so the hybrid travel down to the city which would allow him to be left alone with you. Elijah had followed to find you since you hadn't called in awhile and also to find out just what the witches were planning.
"I'm Elijah. You heard of me?" Elijah asked Sophie after saving her from vampires. After talking to the witch about her sister, Elijah was taken to the cemetery and the witches couldn't stop you from running to your vampire.
"Elijah!" You shouted throwing your arms around Elijah who growled feeling you shiver as your sundress wasn't doing much to keep you warm. Elijah took off his suit jacket placing it over your shoulders and Hayley walked out seeing Elijah and her heart fluttered with how handsome the vampire was.
Hayley met Klaus, Rebekah and Kol so it was his first time seeing Elijah and found Elijah every attractive. Hayley felt a little jealous seeing the vampire cupping your cheek seemly showering you with affection.
"Why do you have my little wife?" Elijah asked his tone having a dangerous tint to it as his eyes darken keeping you close rubbing your back. Both Hayley and the witches were surprised watching you look up at Elijah muttering something and Elijah raised an eyebrow.
"You think she is pregnant?"
"Come inside where we can talk." Sophie says Elijah followed after with you by his side. Elijah stood with his hands in his pockets as you sat with Hayley.
"My sister died proving that Y/N is pregnant with Klaus's child."
"You do realize Niklaus will slaughter you all about this little lie."
"It isn't. Listen to the heartbeat! When he woke his wolf side, it made a loop hole." Sophie told Elijah who narrowed his eyes but did as told. Elijah's breathing hitched hearing the heartbeat.
"I need to find Niklaus. Hayley make sure Y/N stays safe." Elijah said walking out as you sat feeling like crying as Elijah was hard to read and you were scared. It didn't take long for Elijah to come back with Klaus.
"Don't look sad, my Queen. I'll take care of these witches." Klaus said looking over you as Elijah was trying to stay calm as Klaus had placed a hand on your abdomen smiling softly as Hayley got to see the full fury of two of the most dangerous Mikaelsons.
"So you hold my Queen and unborn child as hostage to make me do your dirty work?" Klaus said smirking devilishly eyes darken as Elijah moved to in front of you almost guarding you from the witches.
"We want Marcel gone and you are the one to do it." Sophie said grabbing a knife as the witches were nervous as having two dangerous Originals in the same room.
"And what's stopping me and Elijah from slaughtering you all?" Klaus questioned smirking as Sophie cut her hand and you let out a ylep. Elijah was quick to pull out a handkerchief handing it to Hayley who wrapped it around your hand.
"Not only did the spell proved the pregnancy but also linked me to Y/N. So anything that happens to me happens to her." Sophie said and Elijah was quick to stop Klaus from attacking. Elijah looked at the witches his eyes dark with something they hadn't seen before.
"We'll do this but Y/N and Hayley comes with us or else I'll let my brother slaughter this coven. And Miss Deveraux, I would personally deal with you."
"O.....okay." Sophie said shivering from the fear that flooded her and the other witches. You squealed when Klaus picked you up bridal style carrying you out of the tomb with Elijah beside him telling him to be careful with you.
"So is she like dating all of you?" Hayley asked Elijah as you all headed to a plantation house that Klaus had set up.
"She is. To Niklaus, she is a Queen, to Kol a life partner while Rebekah and I affectionately call her little wife." Elijah says smiling seeing that you fell asleep in Klaus's arms.
"Oh....isn't weird?"
"No. She isn't the first, we've shared a lover before." Elijah tells Hayley opening the door for her seeing Klaus taking you upstairs. As days passed Elijah went missing making Kol and Rebekah drive down worried about Elijah and missing you.
"Kol! Rebekah!" You squealed happily hugging them both as Hayley watched.
"Nik wasn't lying." Kol muttered hearing the heart beat like Rebekah. You tried helping to find Elijah with Rebekah while Kol was helping Klaus and Hayley was reading though Elijah's journal. Rebekah could see you were missing Elijah as you were wearing his botton ups and you only slept in his bed.
"A church?" You asked sitting in Kol's lap as he braiding your hair as Rebekah had came back from learning a general idea on where Elijah was.
"Yes now where is our wolf?"
"Hayley is upstairs."
To say you were overly happy that Elijah was home would be an understatement after Rebekah hugged him. You ran down jumping into Elijah's arms and he caught you with ease.
"Careful, baby. The little one." Elijah says softly pecking your lips as Hayley watched feeling a little jealous.
"Eli, they are still a little jelly bean." You giggle as Elijah raised an eyebrow and Rebekah rolled her eyes.
"Her and Kol has been calling the baby a jelly bean."
"I see. Has Niklaus been good?"
"Over protective. He hasn't let our poor babe leave the house." Rebekah answered as Elijah let you down.
"Please Rebekah, you and Kol hadn't like her out of your sight. Not since the witch attack." Klaus said stealing you away from Elijah only for Elijah to steal you back.
"Witch attack?"
"Angus bought up a doctor out in the bayou to check on the baby. Y/N thought it was a bad idea, Hayley thought it would be safe."
"Since then Rebekah hadn't let Hayley near her too." Kol says as Rebekah crossed her arms huffing as Elijah chuckled touching you abdomen.
"Protecting Y/N and baby is important so Rebekah did what she had to." Elijah says kissing your head as you giggle. You all settled for the night you and Rebekah slept in Elijah's bed that night with on Elijah and Rebekah cuddled into his side.
Hayley came down the next morning finding you in Elijah's lap as he reading with Klaus and Kol sitting on the couch reading also. You layed your head on Elijah's shoulder listening to his soft voice reading to you and Rebekah came in.
"Is this the first thing you do when we are all back together. Vampire book club?" Rebekah questioned as Hayley watched catch a glimpse into an everyday look in the Mikaelson home.
"Reading edifies the mind dear sister. Isn't that right Elijah?"
"Yes that's quite right Niklaus." Elijah answered waking you a bit making Elijah kiss your forehead as an apology. Hayley noticed the dead girl on the coffee table.
"And this nonsense?"
"This our brothers form of an apology." Elijah said helping you stad up from his lap as you gently rubbing your belly headed off to the kitchen.
"Nik and I thought that our big brother was hungry after his time in a coffin."
"And I informed my baby brothers that forgiveness can not be bought." Elijah said looking at Rebekah.
"Well she is staining a 200 year old carpet."
"Oh yes....that she is." Elijah muttered getting up to check on you as Kol and Klaus smirked looking at Hayley. They noticed the look in Hayley's eyes as she wasn't the first woman to fall for Elijah at first sight.
"Goodmorning, little wife." Elijah said watching you take out some yogurt which he took over getting you a bowl.
"Morning, I missed you."
"And I you. Here eat baby." Elijah says giving you the bowl of yogurt and fresh fruit. You blinked see Rebekah drag the dead body through the kitchen.
"Who do we have to kill?"
"Probably no one!" Elijah called out to her as you looked at Elijah with a raised eyebrow.
"Alright, potentially everyone." Elijah muttered as Hayley walked in seeing you sitting on a stool and Elijah behind you hands on your abdomen.
"So.... this miracle baby thing, how are you going to unlink her from Sophie?"
"I have a plan. Niklaus is doing his own plan with Kol." Elijah said kissing your head taking your dirty bowl and Kol decided to cling to you.
"What plan?"
"A plan to take the Quarter from Marcel. Then give our pregnant Queen the castle she deserves." Kol says smirking as you laughed lightly and Elijah smirked. Hayley was sure how to handle the Mikaelsons while you seemed to handle them perfectly well.
"This was another home of ours?" You asked Rebekah walking into the Abattoir with her getting a few stares from some vampires. Rebekah found it adorable how in awe you were.
"Yes before Mikael drove us away." Rebekah said watching you stand in front of the fountain rubbing your bumb.
"You think the baby will like here?"
"Yes, sweet love." Rebekah said kissing your temple when Kol joined you both standing behind your resting his chin on your shoulder.
"Elijah made sure your bedroom was in the middle of ours so you wouldn't have to go far."
"That's sweet of him." You said leaning back against Kol and both vampires moved you three to the den. You sat leaning back against Kol as Rebekah lay in front of you on the couch with you showing your favorite Disney movie.
You three fell asleep like this and how Klaus and Elijah found you three. Elijah gently covered you three with a blanket and gently rubbed your baby bump then sat in a chair and Klaus taking another. It was nice to enjoy the peace while they could while keeping an eye on you and soon to be newest Mikaelson.

and all the magic we made (13/20)
-
Love, they say, is as tragic as it gets. The pain he feels from letting her go tonight, is the same measure as the love he feels from getting to see her earlier. It’s made him a better man, this thing called love. It’s made him a father, a potential good one at that, or so he believes.
“Nik,” and just like that, all his relief and peacefulness is crushed.
Elijah Mikaelson opens the door to his hotel room, a big grin plastered on his lips and a glass of wine in hand.
Passed him, Klaus can see Rebekah and their eldest sister Freya, painting their nails while sitting on his bed. As Finn, their eldest brother as well as their youngest brother Henrik, sitting on the ground, playing video games.
There’s loud music, and laughter, and all the Mikaelson siblings stuffed together in one tiny room.
And it’s like it never was.
“You know,” Klaus chimes, walking passed Elijah and heading inside. “What I don’t get is,” he sighs, “why are all of you in my room when you sure as hell can afford to not only rent your own separate rooms, but buy this entire estate while you’re at it?”
Elijah simply smiles, shaking his head. “Well,” he says, “we could, rent our own rooms that is but, this is much more fun, isn’t it?”
Klaus sighs, his brother was clearly drunk, otherwise, he’d never use the word ‘fun’ so casually.
“Why are you all here anyway?” He wonders.
Elijah follows him inside, carefully closing the door behind him. “Kol invited us,” he sings. “He’s throwing a party, which calls for a sibling reunion, so it must be something important,” he informs Klaus - making him wonder what other surprises lie in store for him.
-
The invitation to Kol’s party travel’s throughout the town - from close family and friends, to even acquaintances, everyone seems to be hearing about this auspicious event.
Hayley Marshall looks through all her clothes - leather jackets, worn jeans, a revealing red dress or two…and that’s it.
She swears she must own something that is Mikaelson ball worthy.
And money is so tight this month that buying a new dress for herself, let alone for Hope, was almost impossible. Unless she gets lucky at the thrift store.
The thought of asking Marcel for help suddenly crosses her mind - he’s been there for her through it all. Through Hope’s terrible twos, last minute babysitting requests, even helping with late night laundry shifts.
She knows he feels strongly about her and spending more time with him might give him the wrong idea but, he’s her best friend. He’s the one she calls when she needs anything.
It’s so hard realizing that he can no longer be that person.
-
The theme is blue, pink and silver - blue for the way she looks when she finishes her favourite record and the emptiness that overcomes her. Pink for the way her cheeks tint when she sees a dog on the street. Silver for the small hints of it in her eyes - for that thin line down her back that shines in the light.
“C’mon Finn!” Kol exclaims, angrily glaring at the flower arrangements his older brother had just brought in. “I asked for carnations, these are begonias! Now everything is ruined!” He shouts, storming off.
Finn sighs, in disbelief. The dining hall Kol had rented out was large enough to accommodate half the town - and just everything from the satin table cloths, to the ice sculptured swans, heck, even the carefully written down name tags were just perfect.
But, Kol couldn’t see any of that.
Not when Freya was messing with the food table, again, and Rebekah was flirting with one of the waiters - Henrik being Henrik, was sneaking a peek at the cake and Klaus…was nowhere to be found.
“Brother,” he hears, as he stands outside the hall, exasperated.
“Elijah,” Kol said. “I can’t take another stressful situation so please, if this is about tonight’s event, do me a favour and -”
“It’s not about that,” Elijah confirms, which allows his brother to breathe easy for a moment. “Well, maybe a little bit,” he smirks, “I just want to know about…Davina.”
Kol bites his lip, suddenly feeling a bit nervous. “What about her?”
“Just,” he shakes his head, taking another long look at his dearest younger brother. How much he’s changed, how much he’s grown. “Are you sure about this?”
He shakes his head, leaning his back against the brick wall behind them. “Of course I am,” he tells him, “I wouldn’t do all this if I wasn’t.” He assures Elijah.
And, truthfully, that’s all the resolve he needs. Elijah may be the overprotective type but, the one thing he will always be sure of, is that he trusts his family.
He trusts Kol.
-
“Sparkly,” Marcel says - catching her as she’s stepping into her new shoes, Jimmy Choo Cinderella heels in rose gold.
“Thanks,” she shrugs, feelings so unlike herself. “Kol picked everything out.”
“Right,” he nods, “about that, do you know why Kol is throwing this party?”
“No idea,” she says. “Maybe he’s trying to impress you?”
“Me?”
“Well, you are like the closest thing I have to a parent,” she reminds him. “And he never got your approval while we were dating - ”
“My approval?” Marcel scoffs. “What era are we in? Davina, you’re an adult, you don’t need my approval,” he releases but, something tells him that he might end up eating his words by the end of the night.
It takes Davina a moment to notice Marcel’s get up - a fitted light grey suit, a red tie, gold cuffs.
“Do you have a date for tonight?” She wonders.
Marcel is caught off guard. “Why do you ask that?” He questions.
“I-I just,” she knows…she’s known for years.
He’s been in love and tonight, he was finally going to tell her.
Hayley Marshall was sure in for a long night.
-
His timing is impeccable - just when Hayley is about to call to cancel on her appearance tonight, there is a knock at her door.
She hears Hope running to it, and she swears, this child will be the end of her. She still hasn’t learned never to answer the door to strangers.
But, she had an instinct - she knows when her father is at the door. Even though she didn’t even know he is her father in the first place.
“Klaus!” She shouts, as he then places a finger in front of his lips, shushing her.
“I brought you and your mommy a present,” he simply says, “give to her for me, will you?” He requests as she nods and he makes his way back to his car before Hayley appears.
She only catches a glimpse of him as he leaves.
“Hope!” She shouts. “How many times have I told you not to -”
“Oh wow!” And, before her mother could even finish scolding her, Hope had already torn into the mysterious box and pulled out two gorgeous red gowns. “It’s dresses! And matching shoes and purses!”
She giggles, smiling widely from ear to ear - which, much to her mother’s dismay, allows her to put aside her anger for the time being.
Hayley admires Hope as she jumps around, trying on hew new slippers - holding the gown up against herself…she just looked so happy.
“They’re lovely,” she realizes. “We better hurry and get dressed up, Hope. Or we’re gunna be late.” She smiles.
-
“Hey Hayley, it’s Marcel - well, you already knew that. Anyway, so this Mikaelson party tonight is probably gunna a total eye roll. I was wondering if you, and Hope, wanted to make things a little more bearable tonight by being my dates? Let me know, call me back, please. I miss you.”
His breath is heavy as he puts down his phone.
Now all he has to do is wait - the anticipation might just kill him.

the ties that bind - oneshot
Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin x F!Reader Rating: T Word count: 3,167 Summary:  When you and Din find a solid lead on the child's people, you are faced with the fact that you do not want to let him go. But a promise is a promise, and you must put your feelings aside in order to let the child go. Notes: What an episode! I’m still tearing up just thinking about it. This is a very emotional oneshot based directly on the episode, so heavy spoilers for 2.05 “Chapter 13: The Jedi” ahead. I’d advise waiting until after seeing the episode to read this one.  Warnings: Emotional hurt/comfort, the briefest mention of sex, angst with a kind of happy ending

It’s been a rough few days. Hell, a rough few weeks.
Ever since Mandalore heiress Bo-Katan Kryze informed your lover, Din Djarin, about where to find a proper lead on the baby’s people, a pit of dread has been settled in your stomach, growing with each passing day.
You knew that as soon as the Armorer told you that you and Mando had to reunite the child with his people, your time with him was limited.
But that didn’t stop you from loving him. Wanting him to be with you and Din to raise for the rest of your lives, far-fetched as that dream may have been. All the same, you were the coddling one with the small creature. Loving him. Taking care of him when Mando was searching for bounties.
You loved the child the same way a mother would love a son. And, he loved you the way a son would love his mother. Loved Din like a son loved a father.
How the hell were you supposed to give him up and move on like nothing had happened?
Through all this, Din acted as though everything was fine. That this was something he wanted to do. It was what he was tasked to do, after all, he would say to you in the dark.
You couldn’t claim to know Din Djarin that well, having been a part of his crew for less than six months, but you knew what his tells were. You could sense when he was lying most of the time.
It just hurt, how stoic he was about it all, when you knew that beneath it all, he wasn’t. You had seen the true version of the Mandalorian bounty hunter that had struck fear into people’s hearts. Even from you, Din hid his true emotions.
You had never seen this man’s face. Not properly, anyhow. Nothing more than mere shadows and rare glimpses in the darkness of his sleeping cubby.
It hadn’t started out this way. You were merely hired to be an extra set of hands and help take care of the child when he couldn’t. But somewhere along the way, you had wormed your way into his bed. And his heart. He hadn’t said the words to you yet, nor you to him, but you knew you loved each other. You knew from the way he held you, the way he kissed you in the dark with such heartbreaking tenderness. How he looked out for you.
Which is why this hurt so much.
You tried very hard, for your sake, as well as Din’s and the child’s sakes, to keep it together. To not let your emotions cloud your judgement. The two of you had been tasked to reunite the baby with the Jedi. You and Mando were people of your word.
But, a small voice whispered, the Armorer also said that another option was until the baby came of age.
It was back-and-forth like that for days. Weeks, even. Din, if he had noticed your shifted behaviour, hadn’t said anything. Whether that was because he didn’t notice, or didn’t know what to say, you couldn’t be sure. He himself had also changed his behaviour, especially with the baby he had been tasked with protecting. While he was more fatherly with him than he had been before, he was also more distant as well, contradicting himself.
The three of you had taken off from Nevarro to Corvus with haste following the revelation that Moff Gideon was still alive and wanted the child - the asset, as everyone kept calling him.
And now you were just a few parsecs away from this Ahsoka Tano, due to arrive sometime tomorrow. Din was rocking the child to sleep, humming a lullaby from his youth to the child quietly.
Your heart clenched at the sight. Din had removed his pauldrons for the baby’s comfort before telling you he’d be along shortly, to get ready for bed.
Usually that would send waves of desire through you, but tonight you were distracted. Trying to keep the tears at bay.
* * *
“Cyare, are you all right?” Din’s modulated voice made you jump. You hadn’t heard him come into the sleeping compartment. “You’ve been far-away for a while now. Since we departed from Trask.” He sounded concerned.
Pressing your hand to your eyes to stave off the fresh tears you hoped he couldn’t see, you nodded. “I’m fine, Din.” Your voice broke, your breath hitching as you tried to steady yourself.
“No, you’re not, sweet girl.” Din began to remove his chest plate. A tear rolled sideways onto the pillow as he moved on to his leg armour. Usually that was the last bit he removed before moving on to his helmet. No tell-tale hissing sound filled the air, however.
You sniffed quietly. Mando heard it, you knew he did. “I just …” you started, not knowing what to say. “He …”
Din sighed his trademark sigh. “I know mesh’la.” His voice was quiet, tender. “I know.”
Of course he knew. Din Djarin always knew.
“I know we’re supposed to reunite him with his people. But what if this Ahsoka Tano isn’t who Bo-Katan says she is?” You can’t help but ask it. You hadn’t trusted the Mandalorian woman. Not fully, anyway. Not in the way you had inherently trusted Din when the two of you had met on Sorgan when he was first on the run with the child.
“We have no choice, cyar’ika.” You knew he was going to say that. “We’ve been tasked -”
You cut him off. “I know we have, Din. I was there when she told us that we had to find his people. But she also said that you were as his father until he came of age, too.”
Din sighed again as he pressed the button at his gauntlet to plunge the sleeping compartment into darkness. A minute later, you heard the hissing sound of his helmet come off.
Snuggling in beside you, his arm slung around your hip loosely, Din spoke. “I can’t - It’s not safe for him to stay with us. You know that.”
Your voice was more brittle than you intended it to be. “Yeah, like going with the Jedi is going to be so much safer for him. You said so yourself, wherever we go, he goes.”
The words hang in the air between you for a moment before you continue. “I know I’m not a part of your clan, that you’re a clan of two -”
Din interrupted you. “Would you like to be?”
“Are - what?” To say you are stunned would be a massive understatement. “Din, I -”
“I love you,” Din said suddenly, his lips grazing your cheek lightly. “And I don’t want my clan of two to become a clan of one again, even after we part ways with the kid.”
Tears sprang to your eyes again. “Don’t say that.” You were still reeling from his sudden proposal. “I can’t bear to think about it.”
Din swiped away a tear that was rolling down your cheek. “This is the Way,” he said mournfully.
* * *
Corvus frightened you. When Bo-Katan said it was a forest planet, you were expecting it to be lush and green and peaceful. Not a ghostly, sick planet overrun with tyranny. You stood close to Din as he spoke with the Imperial rulers of the city, trying not to let your gaze linger on the prisoners strung up in the courtyard.
“What kind of a place is this to leave a child?” you asked Din as you walked in the direction that the Imperial woman sent you. Din said nothing in response.
Ahsoka Tano wasn’t what you were expecting her to be. She was a kind and lovely soul, but also very bitter and resigned to the fate of the Jedi, grief lacing her words as she spoke of a former Jedi master who had given into the darkness.
Having very little else to do, you merely listened to what Din and Ahsoka had to say to one another, feeling vindication when she said that the child had bonded with the two of you.
You sat with the child - Grogu, you corrected yourself - as Din and Ahsoka went to take the city back from the Imperial forces. It was almost a relief to have something to call him after not knowing for so long.
A tear slipped down your cheek as you looked at Grogu sleeping. Another one. Soon, you could hardly see the sleeping child in front of you. You covered your mouth to stifle your sobs. You knew that it was only a matter of minutes before you and Din would have to part ways with him.
Unable to keep your sobs silent any longer, you shut the compartment door so that you wouldn’t wake little Grogu. Allowing the sobs to rack your body, you didn’t hear your lover come in.
Firm arms wrapped around you, cradling you close as you sobbed into the cold steel of Din’s chest plate. “It’s all right, my love. Let it out. It’s okay.” Din’s words were soothing as he stroked your back, though you noticed how his voice was shaking, his breathing hitched.
You could hardly stand any longer. Din seemed to sense this, allowing the two of you to fall to the floor together, his strong arms still around you protectively.
It broke his heart to see you this broken up, your emotions matching his own hidden ones.
“I can’t do it, Din. I don’t know how to say goodbye to him. Not when he’s become like a son to us.” Your words were choked in between sobbing, shuddering gusts of breath. “I don’t know how you’re so okay with this.”
Din pulled back for a moment, his helmet tilted at you. “I’m not.” His voice was thick through the modulator. “But I have to at least try to be.” A moment passed. Then, “Mesh’la, can you close your eyes?”
You frowned at him in confusion, but complied just the same. A second later Din took your hands in his, guiding them to his face.
His face was wet. Oh.
“This week has been the hardest week I’ve had in a long time. I keep thinking about how after today -” Din cut himself off, trying to keep his voice steady. “After today, he won’t be a part of our family.” You let out another sob. “But we made a promise. To return him to his people. People who can help him.”
You made no attempt to keep your voice steady or even. “But Din. We are his people. Ahsoka said so herself. He’s bonded with us, with you.”
You could feel Din nodding against your hands. “I know.” A tear slipped onto your finger. “But he will be better with the people who understand his abilities. The Force.”
The Force, although Tano had explained it well, still confused you, as you knew it stil confused Din.
Din moved your hands away from his face and kissed you, your tears mingling with his. “I want you to know,” he said, his voice more even. “That I meant what I asked last night. I want you to be my riduur - my wife.”
You nestled your face into the soft material at his neck. “I love you, Din. I do. And I want you to be my husband. But right now we have to bring him to Ahsoka.”
It broke your heart to say it. But a promise was a promise. Though you didn’t agree, you understood Din when he said that the child you had come to think of as yours and Din’s would be better with people who were familiar with the Force.
“We should wake him,” Din whispered as you pulled yourself away from him, eyes still firmly shut.
You were tempted to give Din and his son some privacy while Din sat with him as he woke from his rest. But then Din gestured you come over and sit with the two of them, your last time as a would-be clan of three.
Grogu looked up at you and Din with some concern. He had never known you to be sad. It made him sad to see you so distraught.
You pressed a tearful kiss to his wrinkled forehead. “It’s okay, sweet thing,” you said shakily, as yet another fresh batch of tears fell from your eyes. He reached the hand that wasn’t holding Din’s up to your cheek, wanting to fix whatever was hurting you.
The three of you sat there together, a family for the last time, for as long as you could.
* * *
“I cannot train him.”
The three of you had barely made it down the ramp of the Razor Crest when Ahsoka spoke. Hope sparked in your chest.
Maybe you wouldn’t need to say goodbye after all.
Still, Din spoke, steeling his voice. “You made me a promise, and I held up my end.”
Ahsoka sighed, stepping towards the three of you, her eyes fixed on the child in Din’s hold. She reached out her finger to place it in his small hand. He cooed gently as he took it. He liked her.
“There is one possibility.” You and Din exchanged a glance at this.
Your voice was small as you spoke. “What’s that?”
Ahsoka pulled her hand back slightly, looking at you and Din. “Go to the planet Tython. There you will find the ruins of an ancient temple that has a strong connection to the Force.”
You didn’t allow the hope that was beginning to swell inside you to become too strong. “And what will happen there?”
Ahsoka was serene as she replied. Not hopeful, but not without hope either. “Place Grogu on the seeing stone at the top of the mountain.”
Din was intrigued. “Then what?” he asked.
All Ahsoka said was, “Then Grogu may choose his own path.” He sputtered up at her at the sound of his name, relinquishing Ahsoka’s finger from his grip completely. “If he reaches out through the Force, there is a chance a Jedi may sense it and come to search for him.”
Din was quiet as he tilted his helmet slightly. He sensed a but coming.
Sure enough, there was. “Then again, there aren’t many Jedi left.” Ahsoka sounded almost despondent, alone.
“Thank you,” Din whispered. Though what he was thanking her for, you couldn’t be sure. For the information? For helping him? Allowing the little one to stay with you?
A stray tear slipped conspicously from your eye. Ahsoka noticed but said nothing more than, “May the Force be with you.”
You and Din turned awkwardly from her, ascending back up the ramp. The small creature looked over Din’s shoulder at Ahsoka as you made your way into the hull of the ship. You noticed Ahsoka smile a true smile at the three of you as the ramp lifted itself up.
* * *
“C’mon ki - Grogu,” Din corrected himself, remembering how he had responded upon hearing his name spoken by Din the night before.
The child in question was in your lap, dozing against your chest as you stroked his back.
It was going to take some time getting used to him having a proper name.
“Time for bed.” Din took him from you gently. “And perhaps for us as well,” he said to you.
As you got ready for bed, exchanging your day tunic for your sleep one, you thought back to what Ahsoka had said, that Grogu considered you to be his family. If anyone would know about bonding, it was probably her. It was a very similar thought to the one you had voiced to Din earlier.
But we’re his people.
Though it was a simple thing, one that you had thought since before the Armorer had declared it, it was good to have it properly confirmed.
You didn’t know what Tython would bring, what he would choose. But if Ahsoka’s words had any value as you thought them to, then perhaps you and Din had reason to hope.
“Are you okay?” Din surprised you. “Today was rough.”
You nodded as you helped him unclasp his cloak and armour. “I think so. I’m so relieved that we didn’t have to say goodbye just yet.”
Din nodded as he reached for his helmet. “I don’t even know where Tython is. The map was inconclusive.”
He reached out and grabbed the hand that was stretching to get the light so that he could take the helmet off. “It’s fine, cyare. I already consider you a part of my clan.”
Tears of a different kind sprang to your eyes. You were going to get dehydrated from all this crying. Still, your voice was teasing as Din eased both of your hands up to his helmet with his own hands. “Yeah? Good. I consider you to be a part of mine, too.”
As you lay with him, having finally seen his face, he spoke quietly to you in the dark, just loud enough for you to hear as you fell into the embrace of sleep for the night. “May we be a clan of three for as long as possible.”

i can’t draw much less animate but i have stuck in my head the very detailed idea of a wincest amv or song fic for “sleepover” by hayley kiyoko so y’all are going to have to read me trying to write it out as best as possible 😂
context: okay so like it’s dean “singing”, pining for sam, set in season 1. (yes ik the song came out it 2018 time does not exist in my mind uwu) dean has felt this way for a long time but has been able to ignore it with sam at stanford, but with sam back it’s more so at the front of his mind
warnings: somewhere between mature and explicit, definitely nsft, partially weecest
———
“I don't wanna talk about it / I don't wanna think about it / I'm just feeling low, feeling low / Even when you're next to me / It's not the way I'm picturing / I'm just feeling low, feeling low” We see Sam and Dean fighting one night, and Sam is pissed bc Dean has been noticeably upset/irritable lately but he won’t say what about. Dean walks out mid-argument and leaves in the Impala, driving off and parking somewhere quiet. Dean sighs, running his fingers through his hair as he thinks about the fight and his feelings
“You wanna be friends forever? / I can think of something better / I'm just feeling low, feeling low / Sleeping here right next to me / But will you ever mess with me? No” Flashback to them sharing a bed in a motel room as tweens. The moon illuminates the room through gaps in the curtains on the window. Dean has just come to understand his feelings for Sam for the first time.
“But at least I got you in my head, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head / Sleepovers in my bed, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head / In my head / In my head” We see a glimpse into young Dean’s imagination and what he wants to do with Sam. The og music video is pretty ass-focused in her mind and I’d like to keep that, so maybe Dean is thinking about Sam riding him right there in the motel room, and he’s gripping Sam’s ass as he fucks up into him.
Cut back to Dean in the Impala, looking emotionally exhausted and more outwardly upset, but he’s semi-hard. “Always there to brush your hair / Help you pick out what to wear / I just feel alone, feel alone / You will never understand / Even when you hold my hand / I just feel alone, feel alone” Flashback to Dean (young, but older than the last flashback) helping Sam get ready for something (possibly a first date?). He tucks a bit of loose hair back behind Sam's ear and his eyes linger for a moment, but quickly turn to the floor. He shouldn’t feel this way. He leaves the room, never taking his eyes off the floor. Cut back to in the car again. Dean puts on some music to try and distract himself. “I don't wanna talk about it / I don't wanna think about it / I just feel alone, feel alone / Even when you're next to me / It's not the way I'm picturing, no” Dean looks over to the passenger seat, imagining Sam there.
“But at least I got you in my head, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head / Sleepovers in my bed, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head / In my head / In my head” He imagines Sam smirking and reaching over to undo his belt, but we then see him hesitantly undoing it himself irl. We flip between seeing his fantasy of Sam and the reality of Dean getting off in the car. It’s slow, he’s still emotional and feeling guilty, but he’s trying to get it over with so he can ignore it later. He cums with a quiet grunt, and quickly tucks himself back into his underwear. Dean tries to clear his mind and calm himself, which was his goal in the first place coming out here. Once he thinks he’s good, he heads back to the motel room, but stops for a moment when he sees Sam watching tv through the window (Dumbass, should’ve closed the blinds).
“Come on, let's sleep in my bed / Can I just be in my head with you? / Come on, let's sleep in my bed / Can I just be in my head with you?” He considers telling Sam what’s been bothering him. He considers telling him all of it. “And it breaks my heart, yeah it breaks my heart / I do this every single time, every time...” But he can’t do that. He can’t risk losing Sam through something as stupid as his own feelings. He couldn’t live with himself. So he mans up, walks up to the door, and opens it. And acts like no fight ever happened.
Jump to later that night. The lights are out and Dean is staring at the ceiling, twiddling his thumbs on his chest. He can act all he wants to his audience, but he can’t escape his own emotions. He lays there, longing. “But at least I got you in my head, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head / Sleepovers in my bed, oh yeah / At least I got you in my head, in my head” He looks over to Sam, who’s already asleep. And he wonders about what could be.
———
idk how to do “read more” so that this isn’t long af, apologies! i would love to try and write this a an actual song fic but i’ve never written anything worth a damn so 🤷 hell, maybe no one will even like this! it makes me happy so i’m posting it lmao. and before anyone says shit about how i “shouldn’t do this to a lesbian song, lesbians don’t have enough rep and you’re taking it and abusing it with gay incest” i am a wlw! don’t try it. i know this is about hayley pining for her bestie, i’ve listened to this song for that exact reason. i get it. but if i can cop straight songs for my brotherfucking, lesbian and gay songs are not immune.

Julie Plec Tells Us How Hope's Finale Twist Will Affect Legacies in Season 2
[Warning: The following contains spoilers for the Season 1 finale of Legacies. Read at your own risk!]
Legacies did the unthinkable in its Season 1 finale, and now we're not sure whether Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) is dead or alive or hovering somewhere in between!
The finale saw the Salvatore School under attack from Triad Industries, and the confrontation eventually left Josie (Kaylee Bryant) in mortal peril. After she jumped in front of a bullet made from Malivore mud intended for Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), the poison slowly started to eat away at her. Only Hope's blood managed to save her, but we're wondering whether or not that will end up being a great thing considering she found a magical device in Alaric's office that could eventually release a pretty huge baddie — more on that later.
As for Hope, after facing off against this week's monster (a headless horseman, of all things), Ryan Clarke (Nick Fink) got the best of Hope and Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) and threw the final artifact into the Malivore pit, raising his father from banishment. Knowing she couldn't allow the monster-eating golem to return to Earth and use Landon's body as a meat suit, Hope killed Landon (temporarily, obvi) and threw herself into the pit along with Landon's brother. As the tribrid of the three species that created it, Hope realized she was the only thing that could destroy it, finally giving her loophole existence a purpose. Girl, you are too noble for your own good.
So, is that the end for Hope, especially now that no one even remembers her? And what does her "death" mean for everyone else but especially Rafael (Peyton Smith), who might now have to remain a wolf forever? TV Guide spoke to showrunner Julie Plec about this huge finale and where we go from here when Season 2 picks back up.
So Hope is officially erased, but are all traces of her really gone? Or can we hope to stumble across some clue to remembering her and getting her back in Season 2?
Julie Plec: There is hope, and there is an actual pitch for that, so your brain is in the right place, creatively.
Is Malivore dead now or did she just prevent him from rising?
Plec: That is the question, I think, that we're left with at the end of the season, which is — technically if she had destroyed him, would she be destroyed in the process? Maybe not. So the fact that no one remembers her might mean that there's still a blackness out there that is keeping her captive. And since we've already seen a glimpse of how s---ty that is, I hope that's not the case.
Can we expect to see a Hope-shaped hole in the lives of everyone left in Season 2?
Plec: That's exactly what we can expect to see. What's fun about it, and sad about it, is we'll be able to realize just how much impact Hope had in these people's lives without them even realizing what they're missing. And just understanding that they all feel individually like there's something that doesn't feel right and that they're struggling with this feeling of not being complete somehow. It just feels like such a universal experience, especially for teenagers. I'm looking forward to having each of those characters act out on that feeling.
If feels like Raf is the one most affected by her loss, since he's kind of stuck as a perma-wolf?
Plec: Yeah, Raf is screwed. Raf is a perma-wolf. Look, when Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) on The Originals was turned into a wolf all that time, that really did a number on her, and Raf is a new werewolf, who is still a teenager. So to be stuck in your most primal and feral state for God knows how long, if he's ever even able to get out of there, that will be catastrophic.
Landon did learn that he was intended to be a "meat suit" for Malivore to let him procreate, but does he even remember that? And if not, is that still a looming threat in Season 2?
Plec: I think that's a good question. What, if anything, of his experience and all the information that he learned about Malivore will he remember? Even more so, what does it all mean now that Malivore doesn't appear to be functional anymore? So Landon is going to have a lot of questions moving forward, and a Hope-sized hole in his heart, as you've said.
I love the chemistry between Hope and Landon! Every time they're on-screen together, you just can't help but go, "Awww!"
Plec: Thank you! It's so pure; I think that's why I love it so much. It just feels really innocent and honest and pure in a way that you don't get a lot in relationships in movies and television. So I think that's why I really like it.
Will Triad Industries play a role moving forward, considering most of their staff was just killed or consumed by Malivore?
Plec: We may have seen the last of Triad for now in that I think M.G. (Quincy Fouse) made it very clear with his mother what role he expects her to not play in his life moving forward. I certainly don't think the organization is going anywhere, so they will be out there lingering in the shadows and maybe our heroes will cross paths with them another time.
The twins seem to have found the Ascendant, which The Vampire Diaries fans will recognize as the key to a prison world. How worried should we be about a visit from evil Uncle Kai (Chris Wood) if they start messing with that?
Plec: I think when a key that would open the lock that is keeping evil Uncle Kai imprisoned shows up on your screen you should always be afraid ... and also super, super psyched — which, by the way, is not me saying that Chris Wood has agreed to come back because I have not gotten any answers out of him yet, but I would love nothing more.
Will we be seeing more of Penelope in Season 2?
Plec: Penelope was a very successful character for us, and we always love the villain that ultimately finds a way to redeem her wicked, selfish, evil ways over the course of the season and leave us all crying and wanting more. Certainly my hope is that she remains in our universe and she, in spite of being in Belgium with her family, may make an appearance again. I can't make any promises, but I certainly would love to see her.
Can we also hope for the return of Clarke? Because I was really digging the revival of the whole supernatural brothers thing!
Plec: There's going to be a hole in the marketplace right now for supernatural brothers. We have not necessarily seen the last of Clarke. Certainly wherever Hope is, it seems to be that he is there as well. It depends on where that is and what that looks like and if we want to tell that story.
So if we want Hope back, we might have to get Clarke?
Plec: Exactly. Two for the price of one.
Are you looking to introduce a new big bad for Season 2 or are you hoping to stay invested in this Malivore storyline?
Plec: We are going to take a page out of Harry Potter and hope that Malivore can be an ongoing threat, much like Voldemort was able to be over the course of all the books. That is the goal and we will see how long we are able to do that.
And are you planning to keep the monster-of-the-week format or lean into more serialized storytelling.
Plec: I think our emotional and character stories will always be deeply serialized like The Vampire Diaries, but the structure of the monster of the week or a monster that can span a couple weeks has been a lot of fun for us, and we've really enjoyed it. So we'll definitely be continuing down that road.
Are there any plans to return to monsters we've seen and spared before like that gorgon who was getting flirty with M.G.?
Plec: There's absolutely opportunity for any of the monsters that we've seen before to come back again. I know my personal favorite is the necromancer. We've got some competition... people who loved the dryad, the gorgon — if we can figure out a way to make snakes cost less in visual effects, [it] has a better shot at coming back when technology can catch up to what we want to achieve. That was a "learn the hard way" kind of character.
Alaric's (Matthew Davis) position at the school has been left up in the air, so what can you say about the impact of potentially removing him as headmaster if that's how the council votes?
Plec: I think that for a man whose last decade-plus of his life has been committed wholly to his daughters and this school, if he wakes up one morning and is no longer the headmaster, that's going to be a big dramatic shift for him and I'd wonder how he would make it through that.

Your Hold Has Got Me Tight
Veronica turned over in bed when she heard her phone blaring from the nightstand, cursing the skies and whoever was waking her up at such an ungodly hour. She swore she had put her phone on Do Not Disturb before she went to bed, and yet here she was being woken up at— she flipped her phone over—1:47 in the morning.
When she saw the contact name, however, her heart did a little jump in her chest. Bombshell lit up her phone, a single cherry emoji next to it. Cheryl’s suicide attempt at Sweetwater River had been a harsh and abrupt wakeup call. A glimpse into exactly how torn the redhead actually was by the Dickensian nightmare that was her home life and the death of her brother.
Veronica vowed to be on alert with Cheryl, to make sure whatever had driven her to that dark place wouldn’t do it again. This promise had resulted in the addition of Cheryl’s contact into her Favorites list. (Just in case the redhead needed something at nighttime).
As Veronica clicked the answer button, she prayed that this wasn’t the case. “Hello?”
Instead of an answer, Veronica only heard muffled sounds and bumping. So she tried again, “Hello? Cheryl, is everything alright?”
“V-Veronica?” Cheryl’s voice streamed through the phone, a little slurred.
“Hey, Cheryl.” Veronica reached over to turn her lamp on and sat up in bed. “What’s up?”
“Heyyy, Ronnie. We haven’t talked in a—” Cheryl hiccuped, “In a while. How are you?”
“I’m alright, Cheryl.” She said warily, quickly noticing how unstable Cheryl sounded. “Are you… okay?”
“Are you still dating Archie?”
Veronica swallowed, “No, Cheryl. We broke up after he kissed Betty. But you knew that already, so what’s this about?”
“He wasn’t good enough for you—Hey, watch it you pig!”
Suddenly Veronica strung together the little details of Cheryl’s phone call: how late it arrived, the heavy sounds in the background that reminded her a little bit of a thumping bass, and the redhead’s slurred speech.
“Ay dios mio, esta rubia va a ser el fin de mi.”
“Hey,” Cheryl pouted, something which Veronica swore she could hear through the phone. “I don’t know what you said. I take French. I should’ve taken Spanish. It sounds so pretty when you speak it.”
Veronica chose to ignore Cheryl’s drunk ramblings, instead opting to ask, “Cheryl, are you drunk?”
There was a shuffling sound on the other end of the line before her reply filtered through the phone, “I might’ve had a few shots.”
And even though Veronica had a million questions—like what the girl was doing taking shots on a Wednesday night, for example—she chose to ask “Where are you?” instead.
“I’m- I’m at a club. Innuendo.” Kevin had told her about Innuendo on her first day at Riverdale High, said it was a gay club just at the edge of town. What was Cheryl even doing at a gay club?
“You know, Ronnie, for a gay bar, there really are so many gross straight men trying to pick up girls here.”
Veronica suddenly remembered the last time Cheryl had gotten this intoxicated at a party. Remembered holding her at the Pembrooke for hours afterwards as sobs shook her body so hard that she struggled to keep hold of her. And panic took hold for a moment, “Where’s your ride, Cher?”
“Um, I came with Kevin. He l-left with a Serpent, I think. He said he would be back. I don’t know how long it’s been.”
“Can you call him?”
“I did, like three times. He didn’t answer.” Cheryl yawned, “Mm tired.”
“Wait, don’t sit down, okay?”
“But there’s a couch right here. Kevin got us into the VIP area.” The redhead’s words slurred and gradually got slower.
“Just stay up for a little, I wanna talk to you a little longer.” Veronica said as she crawled out of bed and picked up the keys to the obnoxiously expensive car her parents had bought Archie before they broke up.
“You do?” Cheryl said, her voice suddenly so soft that Veronica wouldn’t have heard it had it not been for the fact that the Pembrooke was dead quiet.
“Of course, Cher.” Veronica pulled on a pair of leggings and a jacket before tumbling out the door. The only sound filtering through the phone’s speakers was the sound of Cheryl’s steady breaths. “I’m in the car, alright Cheryl? I’m coming to get you, just stay awake and don’t go anywhere.”
“M’kay V. I’m gonna—I’m gonna stay right here.”
Veronica typed the club name into Google maps and was there within ten minutes, silently thanking the gods for the fact that Riverdale was such an impossibly small town. The bouncer let her in without much of a fight when she told him that her very drunk and very underage friend was hiding in the VIP lounge.
When she came into the club, she was barraged with bright lights and loud music. Veronica fought her way through several guys were grinding on each other in front of the entrance to the VIP lounge.
It was Cheryl’s trademark red hair that caught Veronica’s eye first. Both when she first met her and now, where Cheryl had her head down at a table. Veronica approached her and laid a hand on her shoulder. “Cheryl wake up, we gotta go.”
When Cheryl didn’t stir, she shook her shoulder a little. The redhead woke with a start, looking so terrified that Veronica felt a little guilty and kneeled beside her, “Hey, it’s just me. Let’s take you home, yeah?”
“Okay.” Cheryl said.
Getting her up was a struggle, Veronica had to wrap an arm around her waist and sling one of the redhead’s arms over her own shoulders to get enough stability. And getting to the car without falling over was a bigger struggle, especially with those tall heels that she insisted on wearing everywhere.
Once they got to the car, Veronica tucked Cheryl into the passenger seat and slid herself into the driver’s seat. “How’re you feeling? Sick at all?”
“No, I’m good.” Cheryl said while struggling to buckle her seatbelt.
“Here, let me.” Veronica leaned over to buckle the redhead’s seatbelt for her, getting caught in strangely intense eye contact with her.
“You’re so pretty.” Cheryl slurred, “I’ve always thought you were so pretty.”
“You’re pretty too, Cheryl.” Veronica said, wishing she could record the redhead’s drunk antics and show it to a sober version of herself. She’d probably think it was hilarious.
“No, I don’t mean you’re pretty in a ‘girls supporting girls’ feminist way, I mean you’re pretty in a ‘I like you and wish I could go to Hayley Kiyoko concerts with you and kiss you’ gay way.”
Veronica stumbled over her words. There had to be some truth to what Cheryl was saying, probably, but she refused to acknowledge it. Sure, she had felt those familiar butterflies in her stomach at the sleepover she had with Cheryl at the beginning of the year. But then she got with Archie and Cheryl got sad and everything got complicated. “You’re drunk in a ‘you don’t know what you’re saying’ way.”
“I had to get drunk or else I wouldn’t have the balls to tell you.” Cheryl murmured. “Kevin told me I should. Said he felt the sapphic tension a mile away at Jughead’s party. And I was going to, too. But then you got with Archie and I lost my chance.”
“You didn’t.” Veronica whispered, finally buckling Cheryl in.
“What?”
“You didn’t lose your chance.”
Cheryl looked up at her then, eyes all soft an open. “Can I kiss you?”
Veronica shook her head, leaning back in her seat to avoid looking at Cheryl and her soft lips, pouty and willing. “Not right now.”
Cheryl pouted, “Why not?”
“You’re drunk, Bombshell.”
“So?” Cheryl asked, eyes watery, shining with the sting of what she probably felt was yet another rejection.
Veronica reached over to take the redhead’s hand into hers, “So when I kiss you I want you to have full control over what you’re doing, and trust me Bombshell, it’s something you’re gonna want to remember.”
“You’re not gonna let me forget I told you tomorrow, right? Please don’t let it go back to the way it was before.”
Veronica gave Cheryl’s hand a squeeze, “Are you crazy? I wouldn’t trade this for the world.”

S1E2: “House of the Rising Son”
Because The Originals recently debuted their series finale, I thought I would share my rather lengthy recaps of the first six episodes of the series that I did a year ago. I was so pumped about the show I made my own Wordpress website and everything. Now I have these lonely recaps with nowhere to put them but here! Enjoy if you want.
We begin this episode by embarking on another tour through New Orleans. I’m starting to sense a running theme.
“The city of New Orleans,” exclaims all-powerful leader, Marcel Gerard, “people of all stripes and flavors from all over the country come here to party on our streets. Some are just looking for fun, some are looking for something a little darker, more dangerous. So we invite them into our home, and give it to them. Then at the stroke of midnight, everything changes, and its time to feed.”
On screen we see one of Marcel’s classic raves being turned into dinner time for the vampires. Marcel is up above watching the chaos, while explaining his methods to Klaus. In walks Thierry, Marcel’s trusted advisor, to inform him of the latest situation. Apparently six nightwalkers were killed outside the Quarter, but who could have possibly done such a thing? We get a glimpse of Rebekah Mikaelson driving away in a lavish car, wiping blood off her cheek and smiling. Oh Rebekah, you look so cute right after murder.
Meanwhile, at the plantation house Rebekah drives up leaving another worried message for Elijah. Only, Elijah cannot call back because he is somewhere daggered in a box. That’s when Rebekah meets Hayley, she’s as charming as ever mistaking Hayley for the maid while screaming for Klaus to tell her where Elijah is.
Tumblr media
As Rebekah is searching the house for Elijah, we are gifted flashbacks of when the Mikaelson’s once lived in the plantation house in 1820. We learn that Rebekah once loved the governors son, so naturally, Klaus killed him. We are given Rebekah’s perspective of events and through her eyes, you hate to admit, Klaus looks like a cruel and brutal brother, of whom deserves Rebekah’s ire.
“Well, he wasn’t good enough for you.” Explains Klaus.
“No one was ever good enough for me, Nik. You made sure of that. Now where’s Elijah?”
Klaus recieves a text from Marcel asking him to meet for drinks, queuing Klaus’ exit. Meanwhile, Rebekah enlists Hayley for help in the search for Elijah. This unlikely duo ventures down into the dusty cellar where the Mikaelson family coffins are on, how Hayley puts it, “stand-by.” However, this macabre sight hardly fazes Rebekah, and she concludes that Elijah’s coffin isn’t here.
“Where to next Rebekah?”
“To go vamp around Sophie Deveraoux and make her totally freak out, before I demand she help me find Elijah!”
“Awesome!”
Sophie brings Rebekah to the creepy cemetery, and informs her she can’t do magic without punishment from Marcel because he has a way to tell when a witch is doing magic, and the witches can’t leave because they practice ansestral magic. Because Rebekah has hit a roadblock, she tells Sophie how idiotic her plan is of bringing down Marcel at the hands of Klaus because “Klaus loved him like a son.”
Flashback
“I was there the day they met. We were burying Emil, the governors only son. Or so we thought. Turns out the governor had another son, from a mother he owned.”
Klaus sees the boy, screaming in pain as the whip comes overtop of him another time. Angered by his torment, the boy retaliates by throwing an apple at his oppressor, which results in another blow. However, at this sight Klaus intervenes and kills the man and asks the boy for his name. Only the boy doesn’t have one, so Klaus names him Marcellus. After the “god of war.”
Returning back to present day, Klaus and Marcel are out drinking. Klaus notices that Marcel’s attention is elsewhere, and follows his gaze to the brave bartender, Cami. Klaus is wondering aloud why Marcel hasn’t just eaten her yet, but he’s wondering to himself how he could use this to his advantage. Marcel tries to change the subject to the tourists in transition, and Marcel assumes they were drunk and fell when the vampire blood was still in their system. But, as Cami is walking away to leave, Marcel is still clearly distracted by her, so he decides to help Marcel out by supplying the lamest line.
“Excuse me love? What’s that your studying?”
“Abnormal psychology.”
“Abnormal psychology. Well…” Klaus shuffles Cami to their table, “perhaps you could help me diagnose my friend over here. He’s been a little bit depressed. Can’t keep his mind of a girl, he says she’s a queen, fit for a king.” LAME. “I think he should just cut his losses and move on. What’s your professional opinion?”
Cami, playing along says, “be a nice guy. And maybe the opportunity will present itself one day.”
Marcel decides to jump in and ask Cami out, she says she’ll consider it.
Tumblr media
Next we find Hayley, she’s at a witches shop looking for wolfsbane. Why would she want wolfsbane when it hurts werewolves? We get the answer when Hayley says she wants to kill a little wolf. The witch helps her, but when Hayley leaves she calls someone and tells them if you want to gain points, tell Marcel there is a werewolf in the Quarter. Mysterious. Not to mention problematic, being that a woman, needing help, goes to another woman thinking that she’ll understand, but instead rats her out. Shameful.
Meanwhile, Marcel takes Klaus to go see the two people in transition. Marcel makes a contest out of it. Seeing as he doesn’t want to turn them both I guess. Whoever picks up the coin will be a vampire, the other will die. There is a guy and a girl, of whom Marcel refers to as “cute dorky girl” and “gay best friend.” Marcel drops the coin and the girl snatches it up. The “gay best friend” is betrayed and hurt, while the “cute dorky girl” starts looking crazy and manic while she justifies her actions. Marcel snaps her neck.
“I have a thing about people betraying their friends.”
Woah. Subtext.
Marcel is taking a phone call and Klaus is escorting Josh (the gay best friend) into the car when you see Rebekah overhead watching.
Flashback
A young Marcel is fencing with Rebekah. It’s clear he has his first crush. How sweet.
Adult Marcel and Rebekah are now fencing. Marcel goes in for the kiss, but before he could Klaus walks in.
Back to the present, Marcel interrupts Rebekah’s memories and claims to not want to get in the middle of Mikaelson family drama.
Flashback
Marcel is trying, and failing, to convince Klaus that there’s nothing going on between him and Rebekah. However the conversation quickly takes a turn when Marcel asks why Klaus hasn’t turned him into a vampire yet. This is a side of Marcel we haven’t seen. We’ve seen confident Marcel. But never vulnerable.
We return to present day, and Rebekah asks Marcel if he is still afraid of Klaus.
“I’m afraid of no one.”
Then he vamps off.
We find Klaus at Rousseau’s, enjoying a drink, when Marcel storms in.
This whole interaction is fantastic:
“I know that face. Woman trouble.”
“Your a dick. You know that! Why didn’t you tell me your sister’s is back in town?
“I thought it more amusing for you to find out for yourself.”
“Is there anything else I need to know?”
“Only, she’s grown considerably more insane in the last century.”
“Or, maybe, it was her who killed my guys.”
“Doubtful. Unless that biker bar is frequented by small-town high school quarterbacks, I can’t imagine she’d be interested.”
*Marcel’s phone rings*
*Thierry:* “Just got a tip. Someone saw a werewolf in Bienville Park.”
“Get a couple of nightwalkers to run it down. Bring me back its head.”
*Marcel hangs up*
“Well, I guess that solves the mystery of the murdered riff raff. I guess my sister’s in the clear.”
“About that. I don’t have time for Mikaelson family drama. You’re my guest. Keep your sister in line.”
“I’d have a greater chance of draining the Mississippi with a straw!”
Meanwhile, we find Hayley sitting alone in a park. She hasn’t taken the wolfsbane, she’s talking herself into it.
Tumblr media
When a vampire vamps in out of nowhere, Hayley throws the wolfsbane/vervain combination into his face. Two other vampires show up, but not to worry, Rebekah swoops in and rips their hearts out.
At the plantation house, Klaus has stacked the dead vampires into a pile perturbed because they are supposed to be keeping a low profile. Rebekah starts accusing Klaus of not being proactive, so Klaus reveals his master plan.
Kill acouple of the people who still had vampire blood in their system from Marcel’s party, so they’ll turn into vampires and Klaus can compel them before they consume any vervain (which resulted in Josh)
Compel Josh
Compel Cami to go out with Marcel and report back what she finds out
Drain the vampire who is still alive of vervain so he could compel him to tell Marcel “his mates found religion and moved to Utah” to explain why he lost more vampires
Back in the house, Klaus demands why Hayley was out in the French Quarter in the first place, and her answer results in Klaus choking the life out of her. Rebekah stops him, and reminds him once again, that its okay to care. And all Elijah and Rebekah have ever wanted for him was to be happy. Feeling guilty, Klaus reveals that he gave Elijah to Marcel as a sign of good faith.
Out on the front porch, Rebekah and Hayley have a heart to heart.
Flashback
Marcel and Rebekah are caught kissing, so Klaus daggers Rebekah.
Hayley appreciates all of Rebekah’s help so Hayley gives Rebekah the daggers that she found under their coffins.
Meanwhile, Marcel and Cami are on a date! But it doesn’t last all of two seconds before Rebekah storms in demanding that Marcel release Elijah. Being that Rebekah did a lot of vampire stuff in front of Cami, Marcel compels her to forget and to go home. And Marcel takes Rebekah to the attic where he is holding the young and very powerful witch, Davina. Davina uses her magic to throw Rebekah out a window. Ouch.
Flashback
Rebekah is waking up from being daggered, and Klaus is sitting across from her.
“Well, its about time. I was bored waiting, but I did so want to see your face, and it is indeed priceless.”
“You bastard. What day is it?”
“Sunday.”
“I have been daggered for a whole week? Marcel, what have you done to him?”
“Its 1887, Rebekah. You’ve been daggered for 52 years.”
“What?”
“And don’t worry about Marcel, I presented him with a choice. He could choose to live out the rest of his human days with you, or I could turn him instead, as he’s always wanted, in exchange for giving you up.”
“No. He wouldn’t do that to me.”
“Oh, but he did.”
In present day Rebekah is laying in what was her old room, but is now Marcel’s. Marcel threatens Rebekah telling her that was once hers and her brothers is now his. Oh, and by the way, don’t ever touch Cami again.
Back at the plantation house, Hayley is sleeping and Klaus is snooping through her things wondering if she took the poison. Hayley wakes up and assures him that she didn’t. When she was fighting off the vampires, she was protecting the baby as well as herself. Klaus respects her strength, and calls her once again his endearing nickname for her, “little wolf.” Oh, and he’ll make sure they’ll have proper air conditioning.
Rebekah storms in the house and informs Klaus that Marcel’s secret weapon is Davina the Teenage Witch. Only, she can’t remember where she was because she wiped her memory of the location. Both Klaus and Rebekah vow to do what ever it takes to get Elijah back.

Week In Review: New Songs / Music Videos You Need to Check Out (January 12-18, 2020)
Tumblr media
A lot of new music gets released over the course of any given week. This was no exception as we saw a plethora of new songs and music videos hit the internet in the last seven days, especially when it came to the rock and pop genres. Green Day, Missy Elliott, James Blunt and Grey Daze were among those who released tracks this week.
Vinyl Bay 777, Long Island’s music outlet, loves new music. That’s why we’ve once again scoured the internet for the week’s hottest new songs and music videos. Here are seven(and a few more) that we think are worth taking another look at this weekend.
1.       Green Day, “Oh Yeah”: Green Day came back with a third single from their upcoming ‘Mother Of All Motherf*****s’ album this week. “Oh Yeah” puts a rough, grimy spin on the garage-rock genre. It’s so catchy that I, personally, can’t stop listening to it once I start. The unfortunate downside to the track is it’s sampling of a Joan Jett cover originally by convicted pedophile Gary Glitter, which the band hopes to remedy by giving their royalties from the single to International Justice Mission and RAINN. (video)
2.       Missy Elliott, “Why I Still Love You”: In all the years that Missy Elliott was on top of the world with her raps, I don’t remember any time that she let her singing vocals take the lead. Such is why “Why I Still Love You” is such an unexpected, delightful curveball of a song. Elliott shows off her soulful pipes on this retro, R&B-inspired track. The simple beat and classic vocal style make this song an easy listen. The video is classic Missy Elliott, jumping between different the visual styles of various musical genres, in particular 50s, 60s and 70s girl groups (and punk). (video)
3.       James Blunt, “Monsters”: “Monsters” is a tear-jerker of a song, written about his ailing father and coming to terms with his possible mortality. The song finds Blunt trying to comfort his dad and tell him that he’s going to step up and make him proud. The simple video the single comes with also speaks volumes, focusing on Blunt’s face as he sings and emotes, giving you a real glimpse of his pain and what he’s feeling. (video)
4.       Trophy Eyes, “Figure Eight”: “Figure Eight” is an upbeat pop-punk track with a driving beat, pounding guitars and soaring vocals. The song’s already catchy melody is given extra texture by the little details, especially it’s echoed vocals on the chorus and saxophone breakdown. (video)
5.       Hayley Kiyoko, “She: “She” is a bright and uplifting pop song that takes you by surprise. The 90s-inspired beat gets you pumped for the upbeat “popified” late-era Weezer melody and message-filled lyrics about loving yourself. (video)
6.       Emarosa, “Ready To Love”: “Ready To Love” mixes 80s power-pop with melodic rock for a song that evokes the essence of 80s metal balladry while staying completely current. The song’s melody and power immediately drew me in and made me want to sing along at the top of my lungs every time. (video)
7.       Grey Daze, “What’s In The Eye”: Late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington’s first band, Grey Daze, were planning to release a new album before the singer’s untimely passing in 2017. Now the band has released the first single from that album. “What’s In The Eye” is a hard rock jam with swirling guitars and haunting vocals that beg to be heard. It’s a different, more melodic vibe than the near-nu-metal of Linkin Park, but the emotion is classic Bennington. (video)
Further Listening:
·         Four Year Strong, “Talking Myself in Circles”: (video)
·         Best Coast, “Everything Has Changed”: (video)
·         Brian Fallon, “21 Days”: (video)
·         Jonas Brothers, “What A Man Gotta Do”: (video)
·         The Grievance Club, “Marathon”: (video)
·         A Girl Called Eddy, “Someone’s Gona Break Your Heart”: (video)
·         Kodaline, “Wherever You Are”: (video)

The Originals 4 x 13 “The Feast of All Sinners”
I cried a bucket of tears.
But first thing first.
So, Vincent’s final idea of containing the Hollow was to draw, quarter, and separate it for all eternity, much like they did it the first time with the bones, only now he would shove it into 4 original siblings who then would never be able to come near each other again, or, for that matter, Hope – because of the blood pull between Hope and the Hollow.
Of course, Vincent omitted the last part and only revealed it to Hayley, but fortunately Hayley has learned from her past mistakes and told Klaus, knowing he would do the right thing and sacrifice even not being able to be with Hope to save her.
They had a little problem getting ahold of Kol, so Freya had a back-up plan to turn herself into a vampire, but she didn’t have to, because Kol showed up.
In the meantime, the Hollow revived Dominic who proceeded with propaganda, yada, yada. Upon Josh’s suggestion to join forces with the Mikaelsons, Marcel went to the Hollow under the pretence of truce and knocked her out with some magic dust (curtesy of Freya or Vincent, I guess).
Really, Josh and Rebekah were the ones making the most sense – Rebekah had a great point of pointing out that despite everything, the originals don’t do that well separated; they are better together.
But anyway, according to the plan, Vincent did his thing and everyone went their own way.
Did I say that I cried? Yeah.
Like, when Klaus came to say goodbye to Marcel.
Although, the worst was him saying goodbye to Elijah and asking him not to come to his rescue (when he goes off the rails without the family and love that are keeping him in line/together – his words, just paraphrased) despite his instincts.
Elijah has been breaking my heart the entire season and proceeded to do so this episode, first by renouncing the ‘always and forever’, although that was just an attempt to make the separation not hurt so much as it soon showed (it was very much in line with all his self-loathing and fatalism throughout the season, though).
Because, the truth is, he would do anything for his siblings (even if that might not be the best thing), so he then asked Marcel to ‘set him free’ and compel his devotion away, which Marcel did with Vincent’s help (who needed to open Elijah’s mind).
Oh, yeah, I cried there, too.
So, now. I think Freya stayed in NOLA with Keelin and she’s searching for an alternate way to end/contain the Hollow and reunite the family.
Kol went back to Davina and we saw him giving the stolen witch diamond to commission some jewellery for Davina, along with an engagement ring. Good for him.
Marcel came after Rebekah, rather than going with Sofya when she left NOLA.
Hayley took Hope to Mystic Falls, where she can have friends and all.
Elijah was seen playing a piano in some dive in Marseille (I think). Where Klaus came by (already breaking the rules!), leaving him a huge tip (not that he needs the money).
I’m a little confused about Elijah. Marcel compelled him to forget his wow and all the pain and love that came with it, but did Elijah also forgot his family or only his feelings about them – in any case, even if he ‘forgot’ them, there was a recognition there when he saw Klaus, even if subconscious or ‘not caring’.
Because Rebekah was right, even if they are sort of happy with their significant others (or unfeeling, like Elijah), there would always be something missing without the others.
Also, regarding Elijah, I was speculating about his turning off his humanity, and this actually comes very close to it, because I think what made and kept him human was exactly his love for his family, so what is he going to be without that?
(Maybe I’ll now have some time soon to put all my thoughts on Elijah on one post one day.)
But, the one my heart is truly breaking for is Klaus, because he pulled the short straw: he is at the worst place of them all, perhaps at the worst place in his life.
Because while everyone else has someone (and Elijah has his family feelings on ‘off’), Klaus is all alone (no wonder he’s breaking the rules), more alone than ever – because even when he was quarrelling with one sibling or the other or more, there was always one of them beside him nonetheless. And he feels everything, all the love for everyone he can never see again. The question is, is his love for Hope and wanting to be a good man enough now that he can’t hope to ever see her or anyone he loves again to keep him going and not simply give up and turn into a monster.
I hope it will, I hope that maybe he has enough hope and determination that maybe he himself is searching for a way to deal with the Hollow and reunite the family like Freya is doing (I mean, he hasn’t got (m)any friends, but he is a thousand years old, he knows stuff, legends, people, maybe he can come up with something.)
And then, of course, Hope will grow in power as she grows. And I think it will be she who ends the Hollow, but she could probably use some help. (Apparently, they deleted a scene with her promising that they will be reunited, so… it’s logical that she would want that and be able to do that eventually.)
I wonder if we’ll get another time-jump to when Hope is older (I fleetingly glimpsed something like that somewhere), because that would make sense.
Anyway, I’m a mess and shouldn’t be trying to make sense of things just yet right now.
It was a good episode, despite all the heartbreak, worthy not only of season finale, but it would be also a good show finale.
(So, if you-know-who screws it up next year, I can always imagine this as the finale with some added headcanoning so everyone can live happily ever after without being separated. I mean, it’s true co-dependency and living in each other’s pockets all the time isn’t healthy, but neither is them being separated for all the eternity: I’d like to see them living their own lives, but staying in touch and getting together now and then a few times a year at least, that would be a good life for them, I think.)
Okay, I’m gonna stop. I have too many feels for this.

Legacies' Danielle Rose Russell Explains How Wearing That Klaroline Dress Brought Back Hope's Klaus Issues
Every time they're on-screen together, you just can't help but go, "Awww!" Plec: Thank you!

Paul Wesley Reunites With Matt Davis to Direct Legacies in Exclusive Photos
A Genie on Legacies Gave Us Delena Babies and Brought Klaus Back to Life (Kind Of)
Ben Geurens, LegaciesPhoto: Jace Downs, Jace Downs/The CW
Alaric's (Matthew Davis) position at the school has been left up in the air, so what can you say about the impact of potentially removing him as headmaster if that's how the council votes?Plec: I think that for a man whose last decade-plus of his life has been committed wholly to his daughters and this school, if he wakes up one morning and is no longer the headmaster, that's going to be a big dramatic shift for him and I'd wonder how he would make it through that.
Season 1 of Legacies will be streaming on Netflix starting Friday, April 5.
(Disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS Interactive, a division of CBS Corporation.)
