Akio: Do I have to answer this.. Why would you ask me that anyway? Is this because of the answer I gave during my second interrogation?.. Fine. I think love is.. Always staying by your lover's side. Never leaving them. Never betraying them. Always being honest with them. Being so loyal to them, you could die for them. Um.. Haha, so he never did any of those things..

Aimi: Hmm, I've never had a significant other, so it's hard to say, haha.. Well, I think love is when you two feel safe around each other! It's when you can trust your partner with anything and know that they won't break their promise and they won't leave you no matter what you do. And no matter what, they will never judge you. Ah, I think you can say the same about platonic and familial love too!

Shun: U-um.. Let's see.. Well, it's obviously going on dates and.. Uh.. Doing all the romantic stuff, y-you know?.. D-do I have to tell you all the details?.. Y-you're looking at me like I don't know anything about romance. And I do know about it, please believe me! I mean, I did have a girlfriend.. A-anyway, love is something that I will never be complete without. I need to be loved. It's like.. If I'm loved, it means someone in this world appreciates me, right? They would probably be sad if something happened to me..

Naomi: Um.. I never was that interested in romance, so I can't really- Hm? It doesn't have to be romantic? I see.. Well, I can't even tell you that much about platonic love.. I'm sorry, I'm really boring when it comes to that, haha. But if I had to think about it more.. Maybe it's when others don't expect anything from you? You can be anything you want to be and you're still wanted and appreciated.. It sounds nice when I think about it, actually.

Kei: Heyyyy, didn't you say that someone like me can't know anything about love? Haha, well, as I've said before, I believe that pain and love can't be separated. Why? The thing is, if someone puts you through so much pain every single day, but you still choose to stay with them and don't even think about leaving them.. Yeah, that's love to me. And if you truly love someone, you'll be okay with them hurting you in some way. That's what Mom used to say. And I love her. You love her too, Eiji. You've never even tried to run away, after all.

Eiko: You're probably not gonna believe me, but I actually wasn't interested in love at all until I.. well, met that guy. I thought it was just a stupid waste of time, just like friendship and all that stuff. But hey, of course I felt lonely. My relationships never had any meaning, the only somewhat deep relationship I have is the one with my dad. So, if you were to ask me about love.. I think love is when your relationship with someone has some kind of meaning. Maybe it makes you happy. Maybe it wants you to keep living. Maybe it makes you feel like you have some kind of purpose. You just know that if something happened to that person, you would feel like your life has become incomplete. That's love to me.

Asahi: E-eh?.. I know that I'm more mature than other kids, but like.. Ugh, fine. So, uh, I think love is when someone gives you everything you could ever want from them. N-no, I'm not just talking about food and toys and that stuff! Though that's also important, of course.. But like.. I-if you asked them for a hug, they'd be okay with it.. And if you asked them to spend time with you, they'd still agree even if they're busy.. A-anyway, I know I'll be popular when I grow up, but right now I don't care about all that. I just wanna have fun and I don't want to think about anything.. Uh, "serious".

Yurika: Your question is simple, so my answer will be the same. It's what I felt for my boss. S-she wasn't just a manager to me. She actually gave me a reason to live. She showed me that I still have worth even if I'm not that smart, not that hardworking and not that productive. She's not like my parents at all and those guys are rich, but still wanted me to work! H-huh?.. "Did you see your manager as your lover or your mother figure?".. Uh.. B-both?

Riku: Let me think.. Well, there's many different types of love, you know? I don't really know which one you want me to talk about.. Oh, so like, love in general? Um.. For some reason, it's still hard for me to think of an answer.. Maybe something like, even if you get sad or angry sometimes, they still understand you and still willing to listen to you? Like, they won't go "Come on, cheer up already!" Oh, also they respect your privacy and personal space, that one's important. Even if I love them, I don't want them to call me at 3 am and start telling me the tragic story of how their cat died when they were eight, thank you very much.. Y-yeah, that did happen to me once.

Reina: I don't know much about it, so I'm afraid my answer won't be that interesting. But maybe.. it's when someone still wants to be with you even if they've seen your worst qualities? No, I don't mean any of that "But I still find them beautiful" kind of stuff. That's actually kinda concerning. It's like, they won't leave you if they see you fighting with someone and yelling at them, but they also won't tell you that you were in the right for acting like that, if you really were in the wrong.

Eiji: It's when all sinners get what they deserve. They get the punishments that fit their sins and they have no choice but to accept it, meanwhile the innocent ones get to finally live a peaceful life. And before you ask me, no, nobody in this prison is innocent except me and Guard 002.

Miki: I'm not really as passionate about it as Eiji-san, but.. I think it's when people who did something bad without any reason and don't feel any remorse get.. I-I don't want to say "punished", but.. Basically, they're not able to do anything to the innocent people anymore. I want to believe that everyone in this prison is innocent and everyone had their own reasons and if it wasn't for those reasons, they would never kill anyone.. But I'm not so sure anymore. So if someone in this prison really is guilty.. I guess I'll have to make sure they don't hurt the innocent.

Hiyuu: I think it's when all people are treated as equals. Even if someone is guilty, I won't treat them like a villain. I will punish them, because that's my job as a guard, but it doesn't mean I genuinely want their life to get worse and it doesn't mean I want them to die. I just want them to see what will happen if they continue to act this way. Pain is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone, so I believe that even if that someone really did something bad, they should be treated with respect if they're in pain. So you can trust me, my punishments won't be that bad, haha.

Hiyuu’s Keyblade: Evening Bloom

If Hiyuu had a unique Keyblade, this is what it would look like.

The first reason why the Keyblade is called Evening Bloom is because of the second kanji character in Hiyuu’s name. If her name was written in kanji, it would be written as 陽夕 with 陽 meaning “light, sun, male“ and 夕 meaning “evening.” Because of evening, I immediately thought of the moon.

The second reason why Hiyuu’s Keyblade is named the way it is is because her original name was Hana (花 meaning “flower”) but it was too simple so I chose Hiyuu instead. At the same time, though, I really liked the name Hana and wanted to incorporate flowers somehow into the Keyblade.

yes akio did love arata STOP I JUST READ YOUR TAGS AND. YEAH yeah hiyuu and kei have A LOT of parallels (and i'm not just talking about their relationship with pain haha..) 😭😭 that's why i wanted to make them interact so bad..

oh also just a small correction: hiyuu doesn't really think that pain is "the only suitable punishment", but more like. he doesn't want anyone to die, but also still needs to punish them, so.. yeah, he just goes for punishments that can make people lose the ability to do stuff, for example, make them slower, make them weaker, etc, but he also says that physical punishments are "tasteless". yeah, he's more into psychological torture <3

he honestly scares me a lot because if eiji punishes everyone in such a cruel way because he wants to show that he's "stronger" or "better" than them and isn't actually as sadistic as everyone thinks he is, hiyuu is more gentle, but in a "come on, you can handle this, right? :) just tell me if it's too much. but i know you're strong enough ^^" way. sure, he will let you have a break if you need it, but you'll be in too much pain when you get one so it'll end up being useless.

Ouryuu Zeno (yellow dragon), Zeno was once a priest, he took blood from a dragon and became a 'dragon warrior'. Zeno agreed to accept the dragon's blood to help King Hiyuu defeat the human rebellion. Hiryuu was a red dragon who took the form of a human because he loved them so much, even after their betrayal he still loved them and refused to return to the heavens. The dragons didn't want to lose him either, so they gave their blood and four excellent people drank the dragons's blood.

Zeno is my most beloved dragon of all! He gained immortality, his body was like steel, but before that he had to be wounded, pierced, his legs/arms and head cut off, which regrew to activate the dragon's power. He gained immortality in the process. He lost his beloved brothers and got married. Zeno was briefly happy with his wife, who died because she had a terminal illness. He… lay beside her for a long time… did not leave her for a long time, then traveled aimlessly, saw wars begin, saw many deaths, although he could not die himself. He saw how the generation of dragon warriors was treated,and he understood how he was to die. Hiryuu's Yona reincarnation was his salvation, but not before he took with him new brothers who had reached their limit.

Zeno....

When they tried to stop him. He said it.

He wanted to end his suffering as well as the dragons'. I can't accuse him for anything because he went through hell, everyone he loved died and the same would happen to Yona, Haku and their new dragon brothers. They would die and he would stay. He simply couldn't stand it once again and decided to take action. I can't blame him! I CAN'T, even if my heart breaks for what Jeaha, Kija, Shin Ah, Haku and Yona did. I love them all, I hate to see them suffer, but I will side with Zeno here,and I'm not going to blame him for anything. If it was to help him die and be reunited with his brothers and wife and stop suffering and losing everyone he loves, my heart goes out to him, but I'm also with Yona and Haku.

Zeno didn't even use their names because there would be no point in being attached to them, knowing that he would allow himself to be hurt again and condemn himself and the dragon generation to more suffering that they experienced from humans (except Kija), he was extremely lucky.

You know who else I can't blame? he does bad deeds,fights against fate for a girl who loves and wants to protect her and his brother! Although he has proven many times that killing the supernatural is the right thing, he cannot leave and suffers for 50 years, not 2,000 like Zeno. But he also has his reasons and he keeps fighting even though he fails all the time.

Although it is unknown why Amane does this. It's no secret that he would do it to make Tsukasa protect. Just like Zeno,Amane in order to save nene's life, he was ready to be one of the half-guilty sacrifices for her friend. He agreed to fulfill her wish, knowing what she had to do. Just like he imprisoned her in a perfect arc to protect her so she could live in this fictional world. he killed his brother for some reason, but wanting to protect him, he went with him and protected him all the time, which he also admitted. Both are desperate to the point that they are willing to risk everything for the people they love, to help end suffering in a truly extreme way or to save the life of the person they love.

I can't blame them for their actions and I won't.

With Zeno it's harder for me to go through this because I love Jeaha, Shinha, Zeno, Yona and Haku. And their hurt and pain hurts me, but I understand Zeno and I'm not really going to blame him for anything. Likewise, I'm not going to blame Amane. They do what they want and how they want so that they can finish and save what is important to them even if it is bad and extremely painful! I understand THEM! and I'm on THEIR SIDE! But I also hope that Yona and Haku will find a way to save them! Just like I hope Amane will stop and get to Tsukasa. Even if I know what they are doing is wrong, I will support them and I will be on their side and I will not criticize any of them!

I've recently been thinking about your take on Aide and Lieu are actually just codenames for them and Lieu actually has a real name. (BTW can I just say that your OCs are absolutely fantastic? THEY'RE SO CREATIVE AND INTERESTING!!!)

And that gave me the sudden idea of, "What if Yomi and Lieu are the only ones that knew Aide's real name?"

And after Yomi lost Aide, Yomi would sometimes say Aide's real name from his grief and frustration at himself from time to time.

But noone around him would understand because they don't even know who that is.

(Bonus points if he slipped up on Aide's real name because someone talked shit about him and he got angry.

And even more bonus points if Yomi beat the shit out of them without his cane-whip or boots just to drive home that he's willing to dirty his hands just for his hitman)

My personal take on Aide's real name is Hiyuu. If it was in Kanji, Hi would be 飛 and Yuu would be 祐.

There was alot of names I could've choose but I liked the -Yuu names more. Especially since switching Hiyuu around would be similar to Yomi. (Yo-Yuu Mi-Hi)

They're different but similar enough from each other, just like the two of them <3

Ay ay ay don't cross that out! I greatly appreciate the compliment for my OCs, even when I haven't written out and shared their backstories yet heh. Thank you for your interest in them, it gives me an excuse to let more info about them slip. When thinking up Lieu, I ended up expanding upon the pre-established concept of the handful of hitmen roaming Kanai Ward and their connections to Amaterasu. Same can be said for Ringo, but with the WDO side of things (and BOY things get interesting with this lad). But this ain't about him, so let's focus on our 'poison bartender' hitman.

Lieu's backstory is a little funky cause they're built upon not really having much of a past. They were an orphan who grew up with Aide and worked together to survive in the city. They shared in the mentality that all they needed to do to live was to stamp out the competition for basic needs such as food and shelter. As they grew older, they both took up the hitman job since it aligned with their ideals of getting by in the world. They'd kill by the request of others if it meant getting a good pay. It was all a part of simply living. When Amaterasu's newly appointed peacekeeper director took notice of their activity, he offered them a permanent job. There was no reason to refuse. Lieu and Aide found their way to survive, even if it meant giving up their identities. After all, letting their emotions get in the way leads to sloppy kills. But even after getting their new names, Lieu couldn't really let the past go. Lieu's past is Aide. And once Yomi began to slowly but surely pull Aide away from them, all Lieu could think about was losing their best friend.

I absolutely love the idea of Yomi snapping at anyone who antagonizes Aide. And it wouldn't be me without mentioning that Yomi resorting to violence only for his hitman lines up perfectly with Yakou's motives to protect and avenge his wife. Their hands are bloody out of love. Aide having a similar real name to Yomi is such a good idea as well. It reminds me of how I gave the 'plan b' name of Yonaka to Yakou's wife, which is 'midnight'/'dead of night' in Japanese. AH WAIT I MENTIONED THEIR NARRATIVE PARALLELISM AGAIN SOMEBODY STOP ME.

after reina's vd, there's gonna be two post-t2 vds (similar to this trial having two pre-t2 vds), the first one will be jackalope explaining some stuff (and miki finally getting to meet him) and the third guard's full name reveal and the second one will be about everyone's second trial verdicts.

Reina: *laughs*

Reina: *takes a breath*

Reina: What the hell, Miki-chan. What, do you want me to sing a whole villain song for you or something-

Reina: Then why was I still forgiven, huh?

Miki: Because..

Hiyuu: Because the guards had their own reasons for that. And who exactly are you to question their judgement?

Reina: (her voice sounds more emotionless now) Guard 002-san, what did I tell you last time?

Miki: Y-you mean the serial killer part?

Reina: Exactly. The "serial killer part".

Reina: Now, what are you supposed to do with serial killers?

Reina: That's right. Punish them.

Reina: But I still wasn't punished.

Reina: Would you say that it was a good decision? A wise one? A morally correct one?

Reina: And I have a lot of questions about the guilty prisoners too.

(sounds of Reina standing up and walking around)

Reina: Shun, who is now this close to just breaking Kei and turning him into a mindless puppet.. was voted innocent.

Reina: Akio, who always said that his crime wasn't his fault, obviously trying to shift the blame, but who still mostly was just a nerdy 16 year old obsessed with attention, was voted guilty and now he looks like he can die at any second.

Miki: W-we had our-

Reina: Eiko, who feels no remorse for her crime at all and can easily tell anyone all the details if they just ask, was voted innocent.

Miki: But we-

Reina: And just a reminder, you don't know ANYTHING about Kei's murder, but you still voted him guilty-

Miki: WE HAD OUR REASONS, NOW SIT DOWN!

Reina: ...

Reina: *sits down*

Hiyuu: I don't think you understand how this whole system works, Reina-san.

Reina: Well, do you understand it then?

Hiyuu: Kind of.

Hiyuu: I was told that we are allowed to judge prisoners based on.. literally anything.

Hiyuu: So if you thought that our decisions have to be nothing but morally correct.. Sorry to disappoint you.

Hiyuu: Yeah. It's possible that someone was forgiven just because one or both guards find them cute or attractive.

Reina: ...

Reina: .. I don't have any energy left for all of this.

Reina: ...

Miki: .. A-are you okay, Himura-san-

Reina: So, I don't sound that enthusiastic anymore, Guard 002-san?

Reina: Well, as you can see, I'm not exactly satisfied with my verdict.

Reina: And I'm gonna be honest, I'm getting tired of the whole "most dangerous prisoner" act myself and I can see that it's not convincing enough.

Reina: So yeah, the show's over.

Hiyuu: Reina-san, do you want to be punished that badly?

Reina: Oh, I wanted it more than anything.

Reina: If I could, I would've just asked you to execute me even before the second trial starts.

Reina: But now..

Reina: It's a bit more complicated than that.

Reina: *laughs* But wow, I can't believe this. We're really letting someone like you judge us.

Reina: What, are you gonna vote me guilty now? Are you gonna vote me guilty because I'm not a "I'm the cutest serial killer ever!" type of girl anymore?

Reina: And I really thought you're going to still like me even after I show you my real self! You're breaking my heart, Miki-chan.

Hiyuu: When you say "It's more complicated than that"..

Hiyuu: What do you mean by that?

Reina: Oh, right. What I mean by that is..

Reina: I can't let you two..

Reina: Or three?

Reina: Anyway, I can't let you all judge me and the other prisoners.

Reina: I already know what I deserve and what my verdict should be like. Who are you to tell me what to do and who I am?

Miki: W-well, um, we're the guards-

Reina: You know what's really bothering me about this whole situation?

Reina: .. You all aren't even trying to figure out what's going on.

Reina: How can you accept your new reality so easily?

Reina: Or is it because you hated your old reality so much that you were okay with anything?

Miki: I had my worries about this place. Of course I was afraid at first.

Miki: But now.. It feels like home.

Hiyuu: I don't really hate this place either.

Reina: .. I feel sorry for both of you.

Reina: But fine, whatever, I'm not going to share anything with you then.

Miki: What do you mean by "anything"?

Reina: .. I have some theories about this place.

Reina: And, um..

Reina: How it works.

Miki: !

Reina: But I doubt that you two are interested, so-

Hiyuu: No, no, I'm curious. Come on, share with us.

Miki: But we don't have much time-

Reina: There was only three guilty prisoners. Guard 001-san was the one who wanted to vote everyone guilty.

Reina: (to Hiyuu) And you woke up after Guard 001-san had lost that round.

Reina: .. They're just going to keep switching you all until they get bored.

Miki: Who? Who are you talking about??

Reina: No idea.

Reina: I don't even know how many guards they actually have.

Reina: .. I don't even know how many prisoners we actually have.

Miki: .. W-what does that mean, Himura-san?

Reina: Oh, I don't know.

Reina: Maybe something like..

Reina: .. One of us isn't actually a prisoner?

Miki: Wh-

Reina: Anyway, the clock is ticking, right?

Reina: So, wanna talk about my crime?

Hiyuu: That was a sudden change of topic..

Miki: But Himura-san-

Hiyuu: Miki-san, please, let's talk about Reina-san's crime now.

Hiyuu: .. If we don't, I'm afraid I will end up wasting all my energy soon and I don't want that. I want to be useful to you.

[MV Description]

The video starts with little Reina (most likely ten years old), sitting in her room and talking to her toys. Everything is black and white and it looks like an old silent movie. We can't hear Reina's voice, we can only hear the music and how it's slowly becoming more and more repetitive. Reina looks happy at first, but then she starts getting tired and when the music becomes almost unbearable to listen to, she throws all the toys off her bed.

It turns out that it really was a scene from a movie and now someone is interviewing little Reina and she's still smiling and overall looks like a very happy child.

"Look at me, the little star of the show

Aren't you proud of me? Look at me! I'm such a good girl!

Except I don't feel anything at all

I'm not even proud of myself"

The scene changes and now she's older, she's still being interviewed, but now she looks and acts more like a "problem child": she doesn't want to be there and she makes sure everyone knows it and her parents find her embarrassing.

"Oh no, it looks like your little star has gone wild

She's rude, she's violent, she's going crazy

Except she doesn't feel anything at all

She's not even proud of herself"

Now we can see Reina and her parents going to see her new movie together and when it starts, it has even darker colors than the first one.

"I keep achieving goals, I keep making accomplishments

But this story isn't going anywhere

Will my character ever change for the better?

No motivation, no backstory, no reason for me to grow"

Reina just sits there with her parents and watches her character kill so many people on screen without showing any signs of regret, but even though Reina looks bored at first, when you look closer, you can see that she's actually.. uncomfortable with that kind of role.

"Is this who I am? Is this who I'm supposed to be?

The villain of this story was me all along

At least that's what I thought

But it looks like you see me in a different way"

Her parents eventually leave without even watching the full movie, meanwhile Reina stays and sees her character finding a dead body that we can't see clearly, but this is the first time when her character actually looks scared. Reina stands up from her chair, looks like she doesn't remember making that face in that scene. Actually, she's not sure if this movie even had a scene like that, she doesn't remember filming it.

Reina continues watching the movie and she can see how her character keeps getting more and more emotional and how she yells at one of her "partners in crime" and throws her weapon on the ground. Reina turns around to see all people in the cinema enjoying the movie a lot more now. It looks like they really like the development this character is getting.

"Ah, so that's how it is

Am I a hero in your eyes now?

Have you forgiven me already?

You don't even know anything about me, how can you say those words so easily?"

Reina decides to leave, but before she does that, her character looks right at her and nods. Reina nods back with anger and hatred in her eyes and right when she leaves and closes the door behind her, everything starts to burn.

The whole cinema is on fire now. Her character sees everyone running and screaming and smiles while trying to hide the dead body from earlier, meanwhile Reina sits on a nearby bench and watches the cinema burn to the ground.

"So, who will tell this story: me or you?

Will you rewrite everything, will you decide how it ends?

I'm not against that, I just want you to know

You won't be able to forgive me until I forgive myself"

She looks relieved and she sighs while looking at the night sky.
