You know what I find absolutely hysterical about ISWM? The fact that every single character we meet essentially is played for comic relief. Like, Gunther B Gunnerson, we're supposed to take this guy seriously? HE'S LITERALLY CALLED GUN² OF COURSE HE LIKES GUNS. Celci? Her entire name's a pun, too. And despite her working in cryo, she seems to be the most heated of the entire crew. And obviously we've got Burt with his infamous 'Pop Er In Reverse' plan.

Now we go onto Wug, they're absolutely hilarious, the way they talk (not to mention they get the best line of "YOU THINK WUG ALL LOOK ALIKE? WUG THINK YOU. LOOK LIKE ASSHOLE."). Bandit's running gag of constantly checking the captain out in every universe. Lady's first interactions with us being this hilariously over-polite and flustered customer service worker.

ISWM really puts the comedy in action-comedies before slapping you with the crew leads' betrayals and Lady's slow descend into insanity and sheer desperation to stop us.

Funniest part of the ~key 5~ discourse was like. implying that grrm gave other povs importance just completely on accident I guess? sometimes i get a little sad about the way being at the phd home for a long time makes me want to like. take off the academiasona and just breathe for a bit. bc i love my friends here but our lives are v fundamentally different and this becomes glaringly obvious when one of them mentions their summer home or says they're taking their mum to the folkwang museum for her bday or when they randomly have cremant in the house and i instantly feel like im wearing some kind of Bildungsbürger skinsuit they tailored for me and it doesn't fit right. but then. these are the same people you can send a silly little poem to that you wrote about a rotten lemon and they'll reply straightaway saying they love it and it reminds them of this one contemporary sculptor who makes giant bedazzled rotten lemons. and for a second this whole thing makes sense

Haikyuu S2 EP24 the repeated line "The team that's better as six wins" isn't just Oikawa being cocky or anything it is the Absolute Truth. Everything in Haikyuu is like that. Any repeated phrase or motif is truth and it's SHOWN with Karasuno's match point.

RIGHT HERE!!!! RIGHT FUCKING HERE YOU CAN SEE IT SO CLEARLY.

All throughout the match, Kyoutani has been the OBVIOUS outlier. He goes against the grain in a high-risk high-reward way. In Karasuno's previous match against Seijoh (before Kyoutani), Seijoh won because they were the team that was better as six.

In this game, not only is Karasuno stronger as a team, but Seijoh now has this new weapon that doesn't quite fit in-- makes then strong but not as Six.

And if that wasn't clear from the first time Kyoutani stepped onto the court then here we have this frame, the one of Karasuno's winning point, and the whole team is ready-- defenses ready to receive, 3 blockers in the air-- but only 2 of those blockers are high enough. The outlier is, once again, Kyoutani.

Not dissing Kyoutani here. He's an absolutely insane player who can pull off some crazy stuff (like his wicked cut shot), but he's MUCH less developed when it comes to playing on a team.

"The team that's better as six wins" you're so right Oikawa, and he says it like he knows it so well so why didn't he try to get Kyoutani subbed out? If he knows it for a fact why couldn't he see the obvious flaw so clearly?

Kyoutani is an absolutely WILD weapon. So wild, in fact, that it blinded Oikawa (because he was sort of the one to take him in). In Oikawa's mind, Kyoutani makes them a stronger six, but not to the rest of the team (shown via Kyoutani stealing tosses amongst other things).

And I can't tell if it was the raw talent in Kyoutani that made Oikawa want him on the team so much. It's well-established that Oikawa envies those with natural talent (for example: Ushijima and Kageyama), so maybe he thought having someone like that on the team would make them better? Idk I'm just making things up at this point.

I just thought that would be silly to point out. And who better to sacrifice my Haikyuu thoughts to than the 2 audience members hiiiiii ^_^

UHH that ones a little more difficult, a handful of them have partners that belong to friends of mine that are considered canon to their stories and stuff (like michy for example) + i wouldnt go around making a character to draw with any of them romantically without at least talkin to me about it first or smth, but in a more general sense youre totally welcome to like them like that / imagine yourself in scenarios with them and stuff !! since i do intentionally write the dateables at least to portray relationships w the reader bc smth smth dating sim yk :-]
