Summary: you got seriously injured and/or about to die (part 1)

Warnings: blood, major injuries, mentions of death, I still don't know much about Kaveh besides his quarrel with Alhaitham so bear with me T_T, I LOVE MAKING THEM SUFFER I'M SO SORRY-

At this point, everything felt like it was moving in slow motion

Both of you were adventuring the desert together when both of you got attacked by some ancient mechanics

He never anticipated it in the first place, it wasn't supposed to happened at all!

He ran to you and immediately pick you up, retreating from the mechanics to somewhere far more safe

Both of you arrived at a cave where he then sits you against a rock

"I'll get you treat up and get you somewhere safe, wait a bit.." he says as he takes out the first aid kit that he packed

Slowly and gently he starts dabbing the cotton dipped alcohol onto your wounds

You can't help but hissed at the pain, "..Haitham.. s-stop.." you weakly holding his wrist

He then looked at you, hands slowly started shaking, "but, it'll make you feel better.. let me help you.. it'll be okay.."

..At this point, it sounded like he's reassuring himself than asking your permission to let him treat you

You then let go of his wrist and let him continue

After done disinfecting your wounds with alcohol, he then started to wrap them with a bandage

"..mmh.." he heard the noise that you made, he thought he might've hurt you a bit too much-

Until he sees your eyes slowly closing, it immediately made him stop from whatever he's doing

"Hey, wake up.. don't close your eyes on me.." he gently taps your cheeks, clearly now covered in worry

It only makes it worse when you didn't even say anything.. not even a noise..

"God.. help me.." he muttered to himself, "..not now.."

Picking you up gently, he then rushed to Aaru Village, the only possible place that he could go

Holding you tightly as he ran past the burning temperature and the burning sun, he can't feel anything because your current self is haunting his head COMPLETELY

It felt like he was running for hours although it's only been a few minutes 'till he arrived there

Luckily, some of the villagers sees the two of you and bring you straight to Candace, putting you in a professional care

He was waiting at the dining room, sitting and staring blankly at the wall

Every bit of seconds, he keeps on thinking the time when you got hurt, it wounded him deeply

He didn't know what to do, for the first time in his life, he felt that he's really on the edge of feeling helpless..

Candace walks to him and told him that you'll be fine and that you'll have a rest a bit here..

He thanked her and went to the room you're at..

"..don't mind me.." silently whispers, he gently pulled a chair beside your bed, leaning his head on the empty spot beside you

He's very exhausted, both mind and physically. Looking at your unconscious form makes his heart sank more..

"I'm sorry.. I should've.. been more careful.." Haitham speaks to you and hold your hand gently, stroking it..

He keeps apologizing silently and makes a promise to himself to be more careful of you.. he then fall asleep, mumbling the same words..

"..I'll do better for you.. you'll be safer than before.. I can guarantee that.. I will guarantee that.."

"Y/N!!" Ayato screamed your name when you got struck by an electro kairagi

Your body fell to the ground, blood gushing out

Seeing you lying like that makes his blood boil, scraping all of his mercy away and murdered the kairagi in a blink

Holding his tears, he walks back to you.. shaking..

"..y/n.. I'm sorry.." he put his hand with just enough pressure on the large wound on your waist, preventing more blood from leaving your body

"..urk.." you squealed a bit, "it's okay, I'm here.." he soothes you, ripping a bit of the fabric from his clothes, wrapping it around the cut

"That should do it.." he whispers to himself. He then lift you up, walks back to the camp (it belonged to the Yashiro Commission since both you and him were out on an investigation)

You leaned to his chest, feeling his warmth. "shh shh, it's okay.. we're almost there.." he gently kisses your forehead. "mmh..-" you suddenly coughed up blood from trying to answer him, stained his clothes

This is exactly what he's SCARED of, "no no.. no.. hold on- they'll help you-" with that, Ayato started to run

"Stay a bit longer.. I beg of you.." he looks at you desperately

You leaned closer to him, you slowly lost some of your colours due to blood lost.

Ayato tries to keep you warm by pulling you closer to him, ..it's also so that.. y'know.. to feel that you're still breathing..

He's finally relieved that he managed to bring you back, the people who guarded the camp immediately take you and Ayato back to the medical team

They started treated you and Ayato have to wait in the other tent

He also got patched up for the cuts that he got from the bandits

As much as the wound stings, his head is foggy with the thought of you'll make it or not.. he's that terrified..

After he's done bandaged up and change his clothes, he moves to your tent...

Seeing most of your body covered up and stitched makes him upset

The medic team told him that you'll needed some time to wake up, maybe in a few days or so..

He couldn't hold his tears as he was now standing beside you, gently putting his forehead against yours.. his tears staining your cheeks as he sobs silently, stroking your hair ever so gently

What did he do wrong to deserve such punishment like this..? Waiting for you to wake up with no assurance when exactly you're going to be up..

"I'm sorry.. please don't leave me.. w-who will I be with.. when you're not.. here..? ..wake up.."

It all started when you told him that you were going to participate in a war with the Resistance to fight the Shogunate

Despite how much Thoma wanted to abolish the Vision Hunt Decree, he can't put you in that much risk-

This is a WAR that you're talking about, not some regular daily dose of training

You kept reassuring him that it'll be fine and you'll be back soon to him

He eventually agreed and helped you pack your things

The day finally arrived that you're leaving him, "I'll be back, okay?" you smiled at him and he nods, "alright.. be careful" he replied whilst giving you a short kiss

And with that, you're off with the Resistance, seeing your figure slowly getting further and further away already makes him lonely.. "I hope you're okay.." he mumbles, continuing his work

Days passed by, Thoma kept thinking how are you there..

The other servants tend to find him zoning out when he doesn't have any work on hand

He could think of ways what will happened to you, it makes him worry more since he's not there to see you or watch over you with his own eyes

Thoma also tend to not focus when Ayaka speaks to him, it only makes her more concerned about him

"Thoma.." Ayaka called him, "hm..? what is it m'lady?" he looked back at her, Ayaka then gave him a letter that was addressed to him, it was from the Resistance

Ayaka excused herself and leave him alone, knowing that he need some time since he's been worried about you.. and also because she already knows what's in the letter..

He immediately open it, reading the content that was written in it

..It hit him to only realized that it was a bad news, a really bad one

The letter was about you.. injured badly and now unconscious

By the time the letter arrived at the Kamisato Estate, you were already taken care off and they were looking after you

He fall on his knees.. crying that he regrets letting you go there..

Everything feels like a haze to him, he doesn't know if he's done the right thing to let you go there because both of you are helping the other vision holders or feel guilty that he now technically can't see you because the area is forbidden to get through

Thoma lied himself on the bed, hugging your pillow.. trying to find just a touch of comfort from it..

He can't tell what time is it now.. he's been crying and blaming himself for all of this while.. it clearly isn't his at all :(

The letter also told him that they would also inform him about you finally gaining consciousness

The problem is.. the letter hasn't been sent to him for 2 days..

Although the letter wrote that you wouldn't wake up in awhile...

He's slowly drowning in his own head and tears thinking about you.. He can't have a good sleep because nightmares always comes at him..

Come home..

"..where are you..? I'm sorry.. I should've at least be there for you.. I'm supposed to be your shield.. but.. here I am.. doing nothing but praying.."

The two of you ran into the Withering zone when helping him find some inspirations for his next project

Both of you were fighting the mutated monsters that came out from the tumor

"How are you holding over there, bub?" you asked him, he kills some of them, "Doing- ah- alright." he glanced at you for a bit

You were helping on his side until one of those three flowers about to shot him

You widened your eyes, quickly ran to him, "Kaveh! watch out!" you immediately pushed him away letting yourself take the hit for him

He fell down and looked at you, "y/n!" he shouted at you when you fall

Although the effect wasn't instant, both of you are aware that it's SO BAD-

"Kaveh- I'm fine..- urgh-" you said when holding your chest, clearly bleeding

"You're not fine- let's go get you somewhere safer" he then picked you up and ran out from the area

One thing that he knew he could take you is to Tighnari at Gandharva Ville

So that's where he's heading with you now

On the way there, he kept checking on you and asking you what you need

You just said everything is fine, but the effects are slowly spreading through your body

Your body is slowly getting weaker and it's getting hard to catch up with everything around you now

"hey, what's wrong??" Kaveh asked you, clearly getting more worried now

He gently rubbed your shoulder and picked up his pace

You leaned towards his chest more, closing your eyes, the effects started to show on you

"k-keep your eyes opened for a bit more, we're almost there.." he panted, arriving at one of the tree houses where Tighnari was

"what in the world is going on?" Tighnari stands up from his desk, glancing at him

He then explained to Tighnari what happened, and he then started to check up on you

Still panicking, Kaveh sat down outside the tree house where you were in, trying to calm himself down (although he can't-)

Deep in his mind, he kept repeating the moment you took the hit for him

"What kind of person am I letting my partner took a hit for me like that??" he thought at himself, clearly blaming himself as well

He should've realised that he was about to get attacked and at least he could get away from it! but no- you were the one who is more sensitive about the surrounding area than him-

Now what should he do? you're lying in bed unconscious with the effects still in you

His mind's now tormented into pieces.. his feelings are scattered everywhere

He's too emotionally fragile, especially when it comes to you..

It's hard for him to forgive himself after all that has happened

Kaveh doesn't sleeps for days until he sees your eyes have opened again..

If not.. then it'll be something that he'll heavily regret for not being careful with his surroundings..

You're far too precious for him to lose

"..Love.. I'm so sorry.. why didn't you let me do it..? Shouldn't I be the one who's supposed to be protecting.. you..?"

So reading up about octopus again cus azul..

I seriously wonder what species Azul is..since different octopus species have different mating ways...

One type just go to the female and say 'go fuck yourself ' after throwing their ripped off penis

And the other way is the male just get eaten by the female

Or finally...they mate and just live their life...(if said species isn't the one that mates then die)

Also..the octopus dong is one of it's tentacles..so if Azul decided to mate with you when it's mating season...

Let's just say it would be more extreme than the dream of the fisherman's wife painting...

Joking aside, perhaps octo-mers mate and live life like any normal species. Maybe there are some species who do cannibalize the other, die shortly after mating, or give the female their detached penis. But I think Azul's species simply mates without the looming threat of death. Octo-mers, regardless of species, definitely lay a lot of eggs like the octopus in real life, but very few survive, much like how Jade and Floyd chose to survive with each other shortly after hatching. They probably have dozens of deceased siblings who either became food, were too weak to live, or simply drifted away on strong currents.

Azul during mating season is so cute because he gets so particular about everything. T_T he just wants it to be perfect. He wants the water to be at the perfect temperature. He wants you to be completely prepared and comfortable. He wants himself to be ready. And most of all, he won't have any interferences! If he's in season during school, you can be sure he'll make the twins stand guard so the both of you won't be disturbed. Jade probably follows along with it, but you know Floyd is horny gripping the whole time because he wants to play with shrimpy. Jade has to continually remind him that: 1. Azul would snap Floyd in half if he so much as steps foot in the pool; he gets very territorial when in season. 2. there will be time to play when their mating season rolls around. :)

I like to think he'd want to temporarily transform you into a mer just so your body is more durable and can easily take him. Human bodies are so fragile if not prepared properly and even then he doesn't want to hurt you at any time during the process, which can last much longer than regular sex. So you'll probably take a transformation potion before it—at least for the very first time you help him with his mating season. Azul actually insists on it because it's a precaution he wishes to take. He falls even more for you when he sees you in your mer form. <3

Look ok I love that BBH and Etoiles are protectors of the server…. But… I miss evil BBH T_T

He was never treated seriously as a villian on the d/smp and I think the qsmp has the perfect set up for bbh to go bbeg and finally get to play the terrifying villain he wasn’t able to before.

Like… if Dapper and Pomme die, Etoiles and BBH could become such a horrifying force of vengeance and I’m just 😳 thinking about it

Gosh, there are so many to choose from... I saw someone call the Margot/Will sex scene "corrective rape" the other day and it made me see red, but I think that person's a troll. How seriously can you take such an opinion?

The worst take that I think people are serious about is that Alana didn't care about/was abusing Will in S1. She failed to see Will's encephalitis because that's what the plot demanded of her, not because she didn't care. Honestly, I hate any and all Alana bashing because the writers put so little effort into her development, it feels like punching down. She's like a child's stick figure drawing of a character. Blame the writing, not her!

This is so hard because I don't hate any of the characters. This is like choosing a least favorite child. T_T

If I had to choose, I'd say I begin to get annoyed with Freddie Lounds. She was meant to die, dammit! The narrative kept setting it up and taking it away. She was like Chekov's rude person. It would've been cool for her to go out in a blaze of glory, and I think she was meant to, eventually. Maybe Hannibal would've eaten her brain. Maybe she would've had a sword fight with Will, idk, I just wanted something, anything, to resolve the tension!

I'll proudly admit to liking all the crazy shit on Hannibal lol. I doubt I'm in the minority for lusting after Will in the tube scene or any of his other sweaty encephalitis moments. Love thinking about those therapy sessions where Hannibal was drugging him.

Had to think long and hard about this, but I'm ashamed to admit that I kinda like the Will/Hannibal/Alana love triangle. Hannibal fucking Will's crush? That's hot. I just know he was thinking about Will the whole time.

The only reason I'm ashamed to admit I like it is because it was written to pander to the masses. I am no better than the average NBC viewer in 2013. 😔

We've had a hell of a day and I want to go home. And pour one out for a dear friend.

His death is a heavy weight on all of our hearts. He will be sorely missed. By us. By the Master Detectives. By every booze retailer in town. Truly, Kanai Ward is lesser without him.

That doesn't sound like good guy talk. We've succeeded in bringing an end to the internal strife plaguing Amaterasu, and helped Makoto to consolidate his power into an unapproachable citadel of control.

I'm glad you're happy but this was a complete shitshow on my end. Even if you wind up being a well-meaning saint I still kind of hate you for manipulating us into this.

Yomi manipulated Yakou into killing Huesca. Makoto manipulated Yuma into distracting Yomi. The entire Nocturnal Agency was the ball in a game of power between these two rich dipshits today.

I'm mad about it and I want to hit something, but I'm powerless in the face of the corporate machinations that have taken place here. All I can do is go home, cry about it, and pour my grief into a big pot of my arsenic and battery acid stew. T_T It was Chief's favorite.

In seriousness, I talk a lot about how much of a poser Halara is. That they are not an emotionless stoic mercenary but try very hard to give off the image of an emotionless stoic mercenary. The traumatized desperation visible in Halara's unceasing attempts to resuscitate a body that has to be cold by now speaks volumes to the character buried beneath their façade.

We'll go home and pour one out for him.

BESTIE NO. There's a very important moment of frozen time in recent events! If you make me have to do the Mystery Labyrinth and kill Yakou all over again, then so help me I will give you passive-aggressive silence for at least three days.

Come to think of it, Fubuki would be a perfect lifehack answer to the whole "Mystery Labyrinth reaps the soul of the victim" conundrum. We use the Labyrinth, find the deeply held secrets, and then grab her hand and skip back a few seconds over that frozen moment. Bob's your uncle, we know everything and no one had to die for it.

Fubuki can fix the central moral conundrum baked into the premise.

No, he's been through a lot. We spent hours undergoing an important emotional and philosophical journey five minutes ago. He's exhausted. I can't blame him.

This is, once again, the recurring theme. The Mystery Labyrinth reveals tons of information but doesn't help. Whoop-de-dee, we learned about Yomi's corruption in the most secret hidden truth the Labyrinth held. Didn't matter. Makoto already got that information another way and confronted Yomi without our involvement.

The effect is mitigated only because Yakou was already dying. But otherwise it'd be another reaping of a soul for no goddamn reason whatsoever. In chapters 1 and 2, we reaped souls that didn't deserve it. In 3 and 4, the killings we committed contributed nothing of value whatsoever to the predicaments we were in.

Going into the Mystery Labyrinth never does anything good. How could it? It's a murder weapon. That's all it can be. I've been saying non-stop about the Peacekeepers that they are an institution of violence that exists for the sole purpose of violence and cannot be anything but violence. The same is true of the Mystery Labyrinth.

It only exists to kill.

Oh good, Kurumi's here to offer half-informed advice about how it's super-virtuous that Yuma's killing people like this.

Okay Kurumi, I'm not gonna be too hostile 'cause I like you now. Let's hear what you've got.

Oh, no, that has nothing to do with us. Don't even try to blame yourself for that.

In fact, it's the biggest irony of the case. After all that fuss we made, running out the door and trusting that his lanky bones won't keep up with us, it barely even mattered. Yakou's plan for tonight's entertainment was to round everyone up and take them to the same place I snuck out to visit anyway.

In fact, if we hadn't roped Makoto into our shenanigans, everything would have played out the way Yomi planned it, and it would have ended with all of us being shot Halara putting a few more dead cops on my tab.

If you think about it that way, your questionable plan to go ask Makoto to his face if he's doing shady shit was the curve ball that saved the day, Kurumi. You should take a victory lap. You gambled it all on black and came away with a big score.

In a roundabout butterfly-effect chain-reaction sort of way, Kurumi Wendy took down Yomi Hellsmile. Don't fuck with high school girls, man. They're feral.

Do YOU have the answer to Photo Lady's identity!?

Kurumi, you are this close to getting Best Informant in Kanai Ward validation from me. That's not an accomplishment. You're the only informant in Kanai Ward. But still.

BOOM, Photo Lady. Figured it was something like that.

Unfortunately, Huesca was conspiring with Yomi, the head of the Peacekeepers. So. Obviously. The Peacekeepers weren't going to arrest Huesca over it, were they?

No, when you're in a pincer trap like that, there's only one outcome. She fell off a balcony onto some bullets. Accidental death.

Yakou is no different from the Theater Girls in chapter 2. Someone close to him was murdered in a city where justice is a farce. Abusers thrive and victims get fucked. Even murder's just part of the game that unchecked capitalism is playing on its people. What other recourse did he possibly have?

When murder gets rewarded and cries for justice are brutally punished, the only option left to you is to become a murderer.

It explains a lot about his behavior since we got here. Ever since the WDO burdened him with this huge investigation, Yakou's position has effectively been, "Guys, I'm begging you, PLEASE don't get me killed before I do."

I'm not onboard with the overarching message of "Conviction is more important than being right or wrong," which keeps getting brought up. I think a lot of people have done terrible things with absolute conviction in what they were doing. It's good to doubt yourself and question if you're making the right choices.

But as a character beat, I respect this for Yakou. I honestly think, like the Theater Girls, Yakou did nothing wrong. But I can believe that Yakou believed that what he was doing was immoral. That on some level, a part of him was like, "Dude, we're really going to go full murder-suicide?"

But he chose to follow his feelings and do what his gut wanted him to do, even if it's "bad". He was true to himself, to the very end. That's why he was able to face Shinigami's oblivion with a smile on his face.

In a roundabout way, I think Yakou came close to my own philosophy of morality. He just phrased it differently.

BNHA Chapter 403: Review by Birdbros

First let me just say that baby Toshinori is so cute I can't breathe. Now, to the actual review. I love that his childhood was good and beautiful. That he didn't grow up in tragedy and had a loving mother and potentially the reason why he's so invested in being a hero. Because she didn't discourage him and instead fostered his dream so he could be proud of who'd he become one day. Also may I just say that this entire All Might arc has been giving. It has given so much and I've loved every second off it because honestly some people needed to be reminded why this man was the number 1 hero. Still though, just the thought of his mother dying and All Might having to take on the world and fix it without here breaks me in a way I can't fully explain.

Yeah no, nop, no. I won't let you do this. He's not gonna die. Not All Might. Not after everything. I refuse to accept it. He has so many other steps to take Okay! Stop it. What do you mean and end of an era?! AFO you absolute fucking clown, do not hurt him! I mean it!!!!!!!

And Katsuki.... Katsuki with the ancient All Might card he's still holding onto for dear life. Katsuki remembering their baby selves. Katsuki being so out of it but standing up to fight for All Might like All Might stood up to fight for him at Kamino..... *sobs hysterically in a corner* Also the symbolism of All Might always having looked back at his past because all the steps felt so important just to now look forward because the steps his kids are gonna take are the important thing for him now..... yeah I'm not okay.

This is truly the beginning of a new era huh. Bakugou and Midoriya, carrying on All Might's dreams and hopes..... Hirokoshi you bastard. How can you do this to me. WTF MAN WTF!!!!!! And look at Katsuki's eyes. The explosion within them. It's so beautiful. I love it so much. And now him and Izuku's feelings are one; they'll save All Might and redefine hero society.

*stands up and applauds like crazy* There has been several misses for me in this manga but moments like this is why I'm happy I never gave up on it.

I don't speak for everyone who doesn't like Lily right now, so here's my own reason why I think Lily deserved a good slap to the gonads as of the current chapter:

I'm just sad for Misono honestly. He's already been kept in the dark and had his trust for Lily broken before in the Lust Arc. I'm honestly not even sure if Misono fully recovered from that betrayal but he seems to have forgiven Lily after the arc.

Misono was even super worried for Lily when his body started deteriorating. Poor baby T_T

But guess what? Lily is (yes, he lost his djinn but) fine and dandy.

He's not in a baby body anymore, he can walk and talk just fine and he can use his powers too! All that worrying from Misono just for Lily to just spring right back into action. Like, are you kidding me?

And to finish off this cake of "what the actual fuck", he's siding with Mikuni (I'm not even gonna question Mikuni anymore. At this point, I'm convinced that he's just gone off the deep end)

And Lily had the absolute audacity to say "I'm doing this for Misono's happiness."

Sure feels like we're in the Lust Arc all over again (ಠ_ಠ).

I'm sorry but, what happiness are you talking about? The "everyone in Tokyo who isn't a vampire or an Eve is gonna literally die " happiness? Look, Mikado ain't a likeable person, but he's still Misono's dad. If that guy gets djinn-ified, along with other members of their home staff, I don't think Misono would be so happy about it.

Seriously. Can't Misono catch a break with his family and close companions actually doing stuff behind his back?

Yesterday on P3R, we learn some new things, shake our heads at Kenji, and explore a new area of Tartarus!

Chidori is still being held in the hospital, mostly refusing to talk. She will talk to Junpei, but not about anything to do with Strega.

Today, though, she has an… adverse reaction.

Akihiko, its either a shadow or a persona. Come on, man. Being able to see it outside the Dark Hour is interesting, though.

Shinji, fortunately, tells them to get the hell out of the way so he can give her medicine, which calms down her persona and probably saves her life.

I’m with Mitsuru. That’s really not something to be so chill about.

That means their awakenings were definitely wrong, which we sort of already knew based on the whole human experimentation thing. I’m not entirely sure how to interpret this in terms of wider lore. Your shadow will definitely try to kill you if you reject it, but that’s not what’s happening here. This might say more about Chidori’s overall mindset than anything. Especially since she really just doesn’t care whether she lives or dies.

Junpei tells her that he didn’t want her to die. That he was panicking when Medea tried to kill her.

“Dying just means you don’t wake up tomorrow.”

Junpei doesn’t want to hear that in the slightest.

He’s in love with this girl. He hasn’t said it out loud yet, but I think saying that is close enough. XD

Shinji left the hospital, and Akihiko chased after him to ask why he had persona suppressants. Which… Shinji refused to answer, which is an answer in and of itself. The reason Akihiko is so worried, though, is because of the side-effects. Which are not specifically named, but implied to be very bad. Shinji tells him not to worry though, because he’s not taking them anymore now that he’s fighting again.

Akihiko punches him for that.

Oh, that’s what happened. :/ Fucking hell, Aki.

Can all my senpais pls get it together and communicate with each other?

Well, while everyone else is experiencing emotional honesty and getting punched, I guess I’ll go hang out with Kenji. Most just because I have to know where this link is going.

Man, if I wasn’t trying to get the correct answers, Minato’s doofus answers would be all the ones I’d use for this guy.

Kenji isn’t sure how many more times we’re going to be able to go out like this. He’s going to be going to cram school, after all, and working really hard to get into a good college. Since he went in Ms. Kanou’s room (?????) and saw that she had a wedding magazine on her side table. So he’s got to be seriously thinking about his future, because his plans are set!

I want to say “sure whatever” so badly.

My elders can be remarkably unhelpful sometimes. Especially all of my teachers. Including Ikutsuki.

I need to find some time this week to go to Tartarus, since the new area is open. I think it’s gonna be a new block, so I can’t wait to see what things look like next. Industrial is fun and all, but the stairs are a little annoying. So--

Instead of being afraid of the vampires, she excitedly accepted their existence. It was just like in the books she's read! Vampires and supernatural beings are real! Casually looking over into the book, she seems to be making herself at home.

“And what are you reading?”

"Ah, another one, huh. You sure read fast. Or at least, it feels as such. I could've sworn not too long ago, I recommended quite a few of my favorites from the fantasy genre. Hm... It's not exactly 'fantasy,' but how about 1984 by George Orwell? It's a dystopian science fiction, though don't let the genre fool you. Not only can it easily be applied to your real life, but also think of it as a cautionary tale of sorts."

Approaching one of the bookshelves, the Vampire already knew exactly where to find said novel given how he took great care in organizing the whole collection by author, genre, and title when applicable. The cover illustration boasted a simple background with a giant, sole eye on the front, and with a hint of a smirk, he handed it to the overly amicable blonde less as a suggestion and more of a coax to not take his prior words for granted.

"Say... Doesn't living with us frighten you? At least somewhat?" Ignoring her question, Ruki retorted with one of his own instead. "You were sent to us regardless of your own ambitions and independent thought, yet... You treat today like some kind of book club meeting. Not that I'm complaining, but it's still unusual all the same. As for what I'm reading, I'm actually revisiting a collection of poetry. Perhaps one day we can read it together when I'm less parched."

No but real talk though, I love the trope of one character having some kind of critical ailment and then the other falls in love with them when it's starting to be too late... :') Yes, maybe I'm evil. speaking of those sibling slideshows i mentioned, for some reason tiktok has filtered them out so when u look them up, they dont show up??? you just kinda get them on ur fyp one day. or atleast thats what happens to me. but if u look up sibling webweaving here on tumblr, ohhh boy. its basically an amalgamation of different types of media be it poetry, song lyrics, shows and movies, and book excrepts all packaged as one that pertain to a theme. my fav is those about mothers and siblings, so unequivocally human. its like walking down a museum tbh.

and agh, i loved your thoughts on the demon bros sibling dynamics. plus yeahhh, its kinda hard to take anything seriously since it is an otome game, BUT who says u cant come up with your interpretations and thoughts? whos gonna stop you? anyway, each brother has a level of depth that is screaming to be fleshed out, but its all very surface level on game. belphegors burdening shame and regret from watching lilith die in front of him, and by extension beelzebub having the same feelings and/or his own guilt. (i remember belph talking about his trauma and the immersion immediately breaks off when an option pops up on the scream, "ask him to kiss you." LIKE. place and time!) asmodeus and lucifer, their entire relationship T_T speaking of which, satan and lucifer?! they're brothers, or say they are and the rest just kinda go with it. but does no one else wanna bring up how satan was even brought to existence? he was literally birthed from luci's wrath during the celestial war. thats like, a gateway for someone to write a long philosophical analysis about him and what it symbolizes. aghhudhwdhwhd i wish i could say more, but i'm literally out of words rn. if i was mc, i'd have to fight everyday to keep it together without breaking down and crying about this. espeically having to live under the same roof as them...ooofff

speaking of complex siblings dynamics, have you see succession? its a show on hbo. its about an ultra rich and powerful family that is ultimately, dysfunctional. theres four siblings and their relationship mean sooo much to me. i wont drop any spoilers just in case you dont know anything, but when i say dysfunctional i meant it!! one of the things i like about this show is that it doesnt have any flashbacks or show the backstories for most of the characters, rather they kinda drop pieces of information randomly and you just go ??? that happened ??? youd think it wouldnt be a good storytelling strategy bc how are you going to emotionally connect the story to your audience? but somehow, the show does it really well. for example, one of the brothers, roman, was heavily abused. and sometimes one of his siblings would go, "yeah i remember when dad used to heavily beat the fuck out of you" offhandedly, like its a cute little fun fact. and youre sitting there like....when did THAT happen??? ofc they wouldnt show it, but if you watch how roman and his father interact on show (roman is so submissive and scared next to his father) it starts to make sense. its like the "show dont tell" but they switch around to "tell and show." subtle interactions like that fully exposes a characters psychology. subtle body language goes a long way. theres also the eldest brother connor, whos seen as the father figure bc their real dad is so neglectful. but tbh connot gets shit on a lot and uuyfuefehfe theres more. i would talk about this all day. sibling angst got me on a chokehold.

Oh man, so I did a search for sibling webweaving and I was like woah what is all this lol. I had no idea there was a term for stuff like this, but I'm fascinated! I must not be getting the TikTok videos... admittedly my use of that platform is limited lol.

The thing about the otome game not delving into things means that we all get to speculate and come up with whatever we want. It's a blessing and a curse lol. On the one hand, I like being able to come up with my own interpretations. But on the other hand, it'd be nice to have just a little more depth that what we have.

I have thoughts about Belphie and specifically what happened in the OG with him. That was definitely a situation of, there is so much more going on here than they're bothering to get into. I also get that they can't really do a ton of that, partly due to the medium and partly due to the amount of characters they have to deal with. Like I think they can only choose to flesh out certain characters and the rest kind of end up on the back burner. Which is annoying because there's so much potential for so many amazing stories!

I also have a lot of thoughts about Satan and his relationship to Lucifer and everybody. It's like they give us just enough to make the story dramatic, but in the end everybody loves each other and so on and so forth. I'm not saying both Satan and Belphie shouldn't be able to reconcile what happened to them and move on, but it just happens so fast. It seems too easy. So I kind of headcanon it as, they hide everything. Not just those two, but all the brothers have a certain level of trauma that they just bury deep or at the very least don't display in front of MC. I know they make MC out to be the demon therapist, but nobody resolves their issues in one session and that's all they're normally limited to. But of course they don't have time to get into things that deeply in a mobile otome game lol.

I have not seen Succession! It sounds pretty intense. I think it's always interesting when media use different techniques to tell their story. Of course I have very little knowledge of how TV scripts are written, but for story writing, the way a character reacts can imply all kinds of past history, even if you don't know exactly what happened. Flashbacks are helpful, but I think it's interesting to have a bit of a mix. A character is always going to tell the story of their past a little differently than how it actually happened. And I find that it can reveal a lot about character just to see what they change or leave out when telling it. Of course, who they're speaking to can affect that as well. But it's definitely an interesting concept!

Hmmm, so this is difficult. In my opinion, I haven't published many worth mentioning fics but if I had to choose any, they would be these. 5.) She made a promise to him. But something happened and she disappeared. What would happen three years later when she returns with secrets you never could imagine?

Soooooo, this is the first fic that I actually ever wrote. I never finished it (at least on paper), but it is special to me. I wrote this all the way back in 2016 when I was twelve or thirteen. At the time, I was trying to navigate my feelings and grief over a classmate's death. And those emotions that I was feeling is reflected in this story. This story is about a boy trying to navigate the death of his best friend and try to figure out how to move on with life.

Basically, I was writing about myself, but speaking through the character of Adrien Agreste (T_T omg i can't believe I just typed that out). This story was my coping mechanism, and it was a light when I was surrounded by so much darkness.

1.) Lost at Sea | Marvel

"Cap! We found her!"

After I woke up, I met this gorgeous woman. Eventually, we got married and had a daughter. We were very happy. I never allowed my work as Captain America to come in between my family and I. Until a sudden mission forced me to leave our family vacation in Italy and catch the next flight to D.C. My wife and daughter were supposed to fly back two days later, but they never made it home...

"Where's my daughter?"

"All we know is that she's not with her mother."

Now I know you guys' are probably racking your memories trying to see if you have read this story before, and the answer to that is probably not. Lost at Sea is the first multiple-chaptered fic that I finished. I wrote it all the way back in 2017-2018 while I was in middle school. This story is my baby, and my OC Mariana... I don't know what to say about her only that she holds a special place in my heart. (Seriously if I have a daughter I am going to name her Mariana.) Maybe because she is the type of person that I wish I was, but regardless, she is my everything.

I wrote Lost at Sea during a very difficult time in my life. I haven't talked about this here on tumblr before, but middle school was hell for me. I was severely bullied over my online presence and I am ashamed to say that they made my old childhood persona die, and they are the reason that I use a pseudonym now. At that time, while being bullied, I was trying to figure out who I was and find a place where I belonged. I, like so many writers and artisans, turned to art as a way to cope and navigate my emotions and changing world. The result of that is Lost at Sea. I poured my everything into that book, and I am so so so proud of it. I have come a long way since it was completed, and I promise one day I will go back and give it the revision it so desperately deserves.
