once again thinking about limes very quick descent into madness surrounding the time when he realizes he might like mochi after the first night he spends cuddling with her. always love the slow start of "Okay she's kinda cute I guess. She has cute tendencies sometimes. There, you happy? I admitted it. Now leave me alone." which in the span of about 3 days RAPIDLY spills into being unable to think about anything else to the point he can barely hold a conversation with anyone because his mind keeps daydreaming back to holding her in his arms. All day feeling like "I can still feel her warmth on me..." and has to keep being snapped back to reality by everyone around him
he can barely even talk to mochi because he keeps thinking about it. has no idea what to say to her the next day. is very quiet. and mochi thinks hes mad/uncomfortable with her now, since hes always so standoffish to girls at school she thinks she might be in that category now. so the next night while lime is about to go to bed, STILL THINKING ABOUT IT, and he gets a text from her that reads something like: [Hey lime!! about last night- sorry i fell asleep on you!! i know your not super comfortable with that stuff!! it wont happen again!! 🙇♀️ see you tomorrow!] and he feels his heart drop to his fucking stomach. lays there reading it back over and over with his thoughts a mix of "Yeah I guess that makes sense, it happened by accident. It was never gonna be a repetitive thing." vs "Won't happen again...? Like....ever? Are you fucking kidding me? I never get that ever again?"
eventually after an hour of tossing and turning, thinks up some bullshit excuse to sneak over to her house and climb up over her little bedroom balcony, knocks on her window and says something like "Hey uhhh you forgot one of your socks over at my place so I brought it back." or something that is absolutely stupid and could've definitely waited for the next day. manages to weasel his way into crawling into her bed with her because every bone in his body is telling him to.
huheuheu love to see lime aching for her eheheh

Ur last reply was a canon sneak peek into Ulfric’s brain. Devs decided his true form (vile and unapproachable) would be too much for the fandom. They can barely handle him as he is. But if he had a journal, going through one of the black books would be easier than having to read through all of it, with his “backup plans” in case any of his paranoid delusions came true irl, and they’re never ending and nonsensical and he often goes on a loop when he’s in the process of coming up with them. Everything is full of scribbles and letters that look like they have been written on top of over and over. Clear signs of missing pages. He truly believes that’s his strategy journal. And if he’s not “strategizing” he’s dumping all of his frustrations about all of those people, Elisif being a recent star of his entrie. While Elenwen is probably a main character. I haven’t decided yet for Tulius. And I also have a slight feeling that he idolizes Talos to an unhealthy level and speaks of him as if he meets him every day. Like a sad sad case of parasocial relationships but with a dude who’s 33,333% real and from another era. He probably tears off the entries about himself, they make him physically cringe.
THIS MADE ME LOL SO HARD FDIKVIER4489OT5479T5OU Yeah.....YEAH....... his very personal praying to talos pattern for day number 4873, if he doesn't do it a specific way th*lmor will come to kill him and everyone he knows, there's 7 pages straight of him calling elisif names and belittling her for crying and being traumatized, while he himself is crying as he's writing it and is traumatized, tullius is comes into play later as someone he views to be hollow and as th*lmor-tainted as elisif is. somone once told him to actually write things about himself to get all the feelings out but whenever he starts doing that he gets scared cause it feels like he's documenting torture as a perpetrator of it and just starts writing about people he wishes death upon

Hgi if ur just wanting like reqs for connie ficlets. Id love to see him like interacting w more of the party. I wanna know more abt his dynamics w them
You've found that you have a much easier time writing expressions than you do reading them. This is, of course, because memory likes to dramatize them. A smile is much more solid in your mind's eye than it might be on a face.
That's... usually the case, at least. Perhaps it's a Vaugardian thing. Maybe just happenstance! But. Well. You're Vaugardian companions certainly all wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Mirabelle is fretting over something. This much is obvious. She's rocking back and forth on her heels, biting her thumb nail, clearly lost in thought. Her expression is furrowed and her large eyes clouded with worry.
Really, it's very easy to tell with her.
"Mirabelle, dear!" You stalk over to her, placing a hand softly on her shoulder.
She jolts out of her trance, hand flying to her rapier, "WAA!? Conifleur??? Sir?"
You smile, "The one and only!"
"You scared me!"
"I noticed." You hum, slipping your hand off of her and moving to face her properly, "You certainly seemed lost in thought."
"Oh, um... It was nothing, really!!"
"Ahh... I don't quite buy that, Love." You tell her simply, "I could hear the gears in your head turning all the way from camp. What's on your mind, Miss. Mirabelle?"
She holds her hands to her chest, almost as if in prayer. You do it differently in Poteria but you've lived here long enough to recognize the gesture, now. Mirabelle won't quite look at you. That's more than alright! You have time before you have to return to camp.
"We're getting close to the fourth orb. And the curse is spreading faster than ever. If we're not careful... one of us could...." She trails off.
"We won't." You tell her, with much more confidence than you really have, "All of us are determined to see this through, Dear."
"But!-"
"Ah!" You put a finger to her lip. "No buts! What kind of story would it be if the heroes lost?"
"This isn't a story!" She argues.
"I know," you concede, "but it is our story, is it not? May as well stay optimistic."

Question for ppl who've read the Doom Patrol comics: Is the emphasis on fathers/fatherhood as prominent in any of the comic runs as it is in the show?
I'm on my...like, 4th or 5th rewatch now and I just got to the end of S1 and I'm sitting here like. Man. This show is so very deeply about fathers, specifically shitty fuckup fathers and their children. And I'm wondering if that's something like Jeremy Carver's Supernatural influence seeping and oozing through or if that's important in the source material too.
I love the show deeply and so I'd love love love to get my hands on the comics eventually but rn I have zero knowledge on them

anyways there really is too much interracial couples with white ppl propaganda going on rn cause I've been seeing white ppl left and right for MONTHS claim any black person either critiquing the abundance of this existing in media rn because it is not only a marketing ploy in some cases, they have to include white people because of the thing white people do where they force themselves to see themselves in anything they watch (which explains why they turn away from things that don't have a white lead because "they cant relate", or they have to change a character that isn't white to be more appealing to them in fandom)
but it is also done so white people can feel better about themselves by making themselves believe they are not complacent in white supremacy because they have a black partner or simply because ppl don't want to ship a black character with a white one (this month its been about spiderverse obvs) because they simply don't want to or because in the comics a certain character has a black partner are just a bad as racists like WOAH who gave you the authority to speak on shit like this?

The Barbara-and-Diluc conversation is somehow simultaneously very first-drafty, yet flowing with remarkable ease. My biggest concern had been how to get Diluc concerned about/invested in Barbara and Jean's relationship, but I think it's not actually as big a leap as it seemed like it was going to be?
"Hmmm." Master Diluc keeps looking at her, though his oar-strokes don't falter, steady and straight as he drives them on towards the distant shore of the lake. "I would be more confident if it was only Kaeya. He doesn't always take enough care for his own safety, and I could see him lingering to explore without backup. But I would expect Jean to do the sensible thing and get backup. Moreover, if she had plans with you, I would also expect her to have let you know. That she hasn't is what concerns me."
"It's not that strange," Barbara assures him quickly. "She does try to let me know when something comes up, but she can't always do that right away. I do worry a little, sometimes, but I wouldn't have been so worried about this time if Lisa hadn't been worried too."
Master Diluc's frown only deepens. "It happens that often?"
"She does have a very important job, and without Grand Master Varka here... of course she's busy."
"I wouldn't have thought she was *that* busy. I knew she was neglecting herself, but she's always had time for others. Even if it's at her own expense."
He's still looking in her direction, but his frown is distant, now, turned inward. Barbara is glad for that, because she *knows* her smile slips for a moment when he says that. She reassembles it quickly. There's no time for her own disappointments, not right now, on such an urgent mission. Not even if Master Diluc has noticed the same thing she has: that for anyone *else*, Jean finds the time, somehow, even if it's only a little, even if it's to her own detriment. They're all second to her duties, but it's only Barbara whom she often can't squeeze in at all.
"I don't mind," Barbara says, reminding herself as much as she is assuring him. "As a healer, I have to insist she take some time to herself. If that means we don't get to make up our plans... that's all right."
Master Diluc's gaze refocuses on her. "I doubt," he says, a little wryly, "that she's taking any of that time for herself. But that's beside the point." He shakes off the brief glint of humor so quickly that Barbara almost doubts she'd seen it. "It doesn't seem fair for her to make time in her schedule for paperwork and visits to the Dawn Winery, but not for you. Did you have a quarrel?"
It *isn't* fair. Hearing that from someone else's lips makes unexpected resentment surge through her, rising almost to her throat before Barbara swallows it back down. Jean's not being unfair; she's only expecting Barbara to remember their upbringing as Gunnhildrs and understand the depths of her duty the way no one else can be expected to. Forcing the unworthy feeling away, Barbara focuses on the strange question Master Diluc had leapt to.
...Or maybe not so strange. Barbara isn't sure exactly what happened between him and Sir Diluc, but she knows their relationship is troubled. Jean has fussed about it now and then when she actually has managed to spend time with Barbara.

It always seems like such a good idea in the moment (Patreon)
The first four are in reference to a great idea I had of - since I’ve finished my lower-limit page number testing for making books; shorter fics take up less page space, and just increasing the font size isn’t as handsome! - simply making a mini book! All it would take would be to halve the pages again, right? Just cut them right down the middle! Easy peasy!
As I’m sure you can tell by the second, no. Not easy peasy. Difficult painful un-fun >:(
Obviously I still did it tho! What do you take me for, someone who could have the idea of an even tinier book and then not do something about it?? No
It’s also the only one so far to have a paper bookmark rather than a ribbon!
All told it’s a bit smaller than your average manga (I love the monochrome covers on these under their dust jackets haha <3) - you can see even with effectively doubling up the pages by halving their size, it was still very small-spined!
A quick shot while it was still being made hehe ♪ It’s Out! Paired here - and the earlier one, just without its dust jacket haha - with my Zarla SC2 collection (ft. Family, Negotiations are Going...Well, and With No Obligation) - I absolutely kicked myself after the fact for not including Out as the run-up to everything, I was really trying to make a full collection in probably-chronological order! Out would’ve been a perfect start! And it only would’ve taken like four pages!!
Ah well, it was still quite a learning experience - I probably wouldn’t make another standalone of under 4k-ish just for formatting reasons but I did get some good ideas of how to do so if I wanted to! Although, my next project is going to be even more of a formatting nightmare........I’ll get there when I get there! Lol
