First Refsheet for Jayla. I find it a bit difficult to create a Ref for her because she changes a lot during the expansions, but I guess I'm trying.

But let me start with the basics:

Occupation: Consultant of the Horde Council, Leader of the Henceforth

Relative(s): Marlessia Sunweaver (Mother), Vol‘jin (adoptive father), Aristaleon & Sheena Sunweaver (Cousins), Liam Greymane, Arluin (former lovers)

Before Warcraft 3

Her Mother Marlessia Sunweaver didn‘t wanted a baby, so she tried to abort her with all kind of magic. As this didn‘t worked out, she got so obsessed with the thought of getting rid of the child, she turned to a Demon for help. In return, she had to drink his blood. The Demon injected her with the blood, but that also didn‘t killed the baby. Marlessia just left Jayla to die, but the Demon, a Dreadlord called Varudis, was interested on demon blood effects on an unborn child and saved her. Marlessias whereabouts are unknown until TBC where she served Varudis. Jayla survived and got adopted from a bunch of Trolls nearby. As an effect from all the magic and the demon blood, Jayla was immune to the Blood elves thirst for magic.

Anyway, growing up with Trolls wasn‘t so easy. Since many of them have a lot of hate for the - back then - High Elves or Quel‘dorei. Living with the Amani Tribe was a horrible idea. One of the Jungle Trolls - Teshi - gave Jayla to Vol‘jin who took care of her. The elf grew up with Troll culture and Loa and also does believe in them. She learned to be a hunter since age ten. Her teacher was Ortezz, a really talented hunter of the watch.

The Third War

Jayla was only 14 as when she decided to go with Thrall, as the Darkspear tribe went to Kalimdor. She was excited and more adventurous, didn‘t really thought of the consequences of the blight. Only when she saw the despair of the people, the young elf wanted to help and joined the group at mount Hyjal. Her teacher wasn‘t really happy about this since she was just a kid. Because Horde and Alliance fought together she meet very many new people including Liam Greymane. He was also with one of his mentors, kind of rebelling his father. They doesn‘t really seem to like each other, but Liam ending up being Jaylas first kiss. They made a stupid bet where Liam offered a valuable family pendant and the elf to give him a kiss when she loses a target exercise. She won, but denied the pendant. Liam gave it to her anyways, and after all he got his kiss.

(After Liams death, Jayla returned the pendant to Genn as a peace offering, since he wasn‘t to happy about a blood elf being in Duskhaven. He still doesn‘t really like her, but they respect each other.)

Quel‘Thalas

At the end of the third war, Jayla stayed a while in Orgrimmar, but had the urge to learn more about her heritage. She soon travelled back to the Eastern Kingdoms, especially Quel‘Thalas, where she also meet some loosely relatives: Aristaleon and Sheena. The elves found her rather strange since she never lived with them and her more than obvious Zandali accent wasn‘t really helpful. She didn‘t belong neither to the Blood Elves nor the Trolls. Her times with the elves were one of the loneliest in her life. Even though it was a hard time for her, Jayla noticed how the others suffered from magic addiction, thus she offered her help to fight the Scourge. Lor‘themar denied because of her age, so she felt more and more useless.

Jayla was there when the dragons with Kalecgos arrived and kind of inviting them in, much to Lor‘themars discontentment. He was angry with the young elf since he didn‘t believed Kalecgos to be a true dragon, which was really weird to Jayla. She could feel the dragons magic distances away. Kalec later makes the assumption she holds some magic herself and noticed the Fel in her. Lor‘themar, however, finally took her more serious.

She had to be content with fighting the Scourge and Lor‘themar for some reason seems to doesn‘t care anymore, like with earning Kalecs trust, she had earned his as well. Soon after that event, Grand Magister Rommath came back to Quel‘Thalas with a bunch of other elves from the Outlands. They talked about Illidans teachings a lot. Jayla remembering the events of mount Hyjal, even when she wasn‘t there when "things" happened to the Night Elf, people love to talk about Illdian. She wasn‘t entirely sure what to make of the new behavior of the elves. However, she was certain that retake Eversong Woods and Silvermoon was the right choice, she helped fighting back the Scourge as much as she could. This is where she first meet Sylvanas Windrunner and since she was a great Ranger, she learned a lot from her talent in combat becoming her student for a while and visiting Undercity sometimes.

Jayla decided to leave after she discovers the elves started to get power from the imprisoned Naaru M‘uru.

World of Warcraft

On Jaylas way back to Orgrimmar she stopped by in Gilneas to visit Liam, her lover. She stayed for two Months, much do to despise of his father and most of the other humans. It was quite a nice, comparatively, time. But after a dispute about the Forsaken joining the Horde, she left angrily and sad. Tragically they never saw each other again and after Liams death she was utterly shaken and didn‘t had a relationship in 7 Years.

Back in Orgrimmar the Horde grown a lot since she was there last time. She worked a lot, scouting the lands of Durotar for trash and items to sell. That‘s where she firstly met Ges Grimwish an Orc with an quite difficult character. He was rather curt and bitter, and as a son of a Peon just wanted to earn some respect. They both feeling a bid as outsiders and Jayla noticed that he indeed was a good warrior and tries to help him prove himself. She put in a good word to Vol‘jin, but Ges was not really happy about it, claiming he didn‘t need her help. Both really stubborn tries to find a way to make him a warrior.

As they tried to find a way, they discovered some weird behavior in some people around the city. Ges and Jayla investigated rumors of the Burning Blade, below the orcs‘ new capital city of Orgrimmar. As they doing so Ges just boldly pretend to want to become member. And got willingly accepted. The Burning Blade were a cult that rallied around an item of demonic power known as the Demon Seed. Ges then told Jayla who and where the leaders from the Blades are. Jayla who new about Ges plan and also knew that he isn't a member tried to convince Thrall who did not believe them at first. It was Vol'jin who then vouch for them. At the end the two Searing Blade leaders Bazzalan and Jergosh got killed in Ragefire Chasm. After the defeat of the leaders Ges earned his warriors title.
