🧸 - Do they have any stuffed animals? If so, are they decorative or do they sleep with them?

Jeff has so many stuffed animals, every opportunity he has, he'll get another one, he tries to sleep with as many as he can but given they're all scattered around and so numerous, most of them end up being decorative.

👪 - What’s their relationship with their parents like?

Every set of parents has a great relationship with Jeff, they all take care of him and let him live his life, and he mostly follows what they ask in return.

🖌️ - Do they have any hobbies?

Any hobby he can take up, Jeff probably has at least once. I think he'd be an amazing painter though, kind of cartoon style where he makes a massive mess of paint on the room and himself but then turns the canvas around for a masterpiece.

💤 - What do they absolutely need to have to fall asleep?

I've just answered this for pi, but plushie Jeff!

Everybody loves Jeff the Baby Land Shark. Everybody wants Jeff the Baby Land Shark as a plushie... except Emma Frost who wants Jeff the Baby Land Shark as a freaking handbag.

So now my brain has switched from "you'd need a cute great white shark plushie, and another plushie with legs of adequate size and colour, maybe a huskie dog, cut carefully here and sew the bits together eek theory looks simple but reality will be tricky" to "...but where should the handle and zip go? along the spine, carve the dorsal fin? flip him over and gut him?? open that jaw wider and hook the gills???" If I have to be cursed with that question, now so do you. It's OK, I hate my brain too.

Jeff, the Land Shark! Jeff will be available during the @marveltrumpshate charity auction this year, 2022 (assuming I don’t miss the sign up window this year like I did last year lol)

Jeff was made using CholyKnight’s free shark pattern, with patterns for the dorsal fin and legs that I wrote myself, and a changed face, and I’ll be sharing my pattern pieces soon

💤 - What do they absolutely need to have to fall asleep?

Natasha probably has like, 5 weapons stored within reaching distance of her bed before she'll sleep.

But on a softer note, I think she'd have a plushie to cuddle when she's not on missions that helps her sleep better and differentiate when she's on duty vs when she's safe at home.

🎶 - What’s a song they really like?

I think Natasha would be teased so much about Black Widow by Iggy Azalea, but she'd eventually grow to just secretly enjoy it. She just won't admit it to anyone

🤡 - What’s something dumb they’re embarrassed about?

That she can't cook 😭 and related to my previous post, that her land shark, Jeff is a better cook than her. That's the embarrassing part.

The Ole Miss Rebels are changing their mascot again, this time from the Black Bear to the Landshark

The Rebels are still the Rebels, though.

For the second time this millennium, Ole Miss is changing the identity and species of the plushy character that gyrates on its sidelines. The problematic and retired Colonel Reb begat the Black Bear in 2010, who now makes way for the Landshark.

Ole Miss Chancellor Dr. Jeff Vitter announced the move in a letter he sent to university stakeholders today. The Landshark is expected to be unveiled before the 2018 season, Dr. Vitter said.

The Landshark does not threaten Ole Miss’ Rebels nickname, according to the Chancellor.

“…I want to state unequivocally that we are — and always will be — the Ole Miss Rebels. And I am asking all Rebels to unite around our new Landshark mascot,” Dr. Vitter said in the letter.

Dr. Vitter said in his letter announcing the move that Ole Miss’ athletics department, under the direction of Vice Chancellor for Athletics Ross Bjork, will be charged with designing, developing and launching the new Landshark mascot.

Ole Miss students voted overwhelmingly last week to adopt the Landshark.

Why “Landshark?”

First of all, it’s unique. Only one other Division I program has used a shark mascot in modern times, and both happen to be the Rebels. UNLV has used a regular water shark in honor of former coach Jerry “Tark the Shark” Tarkanian. But this here is a Landshark.

But for real, why “Landshark?”

Ole Miss defenders took up the hand-on-forehead sharkfin celebration a few years back, as you can see in the pic at the top of this post. Ole Miss explains:

Roots of the "Landshark" at Ole Miss date back to 2008. After four straight losing seasons, the Rebel football team returned to national prominence with a 9-4 record and a victory over 7th-ranked Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl. Leading the charge was a defensive squad that ranked fourth in the nation in rushing defense and included All-Americans Peria Jerry and Greg Hardy and eventual All-SEC standout Jerrell Powe.

The term "Landshark" originated that season from senior linebacker Tony Fein, an Army veteran who served a one-year tour in the Iraq War before arriving in Oxford. A two-year letterman after transferring from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College, Fein was the 2008 recipient of the Pat Tillman Award by the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Fein passed away in October 2009, but his legacy at Ole Miss continues through the "Landshark."

There’s no official design for the Landshark yet, but we have a recommendation:

Here are the things I’m thinking of offering for the Marvel Trumps Hate auction this year! Jeff the Land Shark is done, but the rest are pictures of things I made but no longer have, so I’m looking for opinions on what you’d like to see available for the charity auction (so I know what to make lol) I’d probably sew crocodile Loki instead of crochet him, but other than that I’d be using the same exact patterns!
