The MTH mod team is proud to bring back Marvel Trumps Hate for a fifth run! Inspired by Stony Trumps Hate and Fandom Trumps Hate, our purpose is to encourage fandom unity while raising money for nonprofit organizations that work to protect civil rights, marginalized and oppressed communities, and the environment.

Our fandom-wide fundraiser auction raised $52,025 USD for charity with the help of 201 generous creators and hundreds of bidders last year. This year, we’re looking forward to raising just as much awareness and money for some Marvel-ous causes!

Creator sign-ups will open in one month’s time, on Sunday, September 18, 12 AM ET (Eastern Time). Creators may offer different types of works such as fics, art, edits, videos, beta services, crafts, and more for any character, ship, or universe in the Marvel multiverse.

Sign-ups will run until Saturday, October 1, 11:59 PM ET, which should give everyone plenty of time to think about what they’d like to offer, spread the word, and sign up as a creator!

There will be a preview week, from October 16 to October 22, during which potential bidders can peruse all the auctions and start building their list of fanworks to bid on. We will also use this time to make corrections to auction pages before bidding begins.

The 2022 MTH Auction Week will then run from October 23 to October 29. All auction times are in ET. If you’re in a different time zone, you can convert times here.

Chapter Six!

Chapter 6 of my Winterhawk Selkie!Bucky fic is now posted!

Excerpt:

Clint makes a noise somewhere between a squawk and a shriek and falls off the bed.

“Uuuuuuuuugggghhhh,” he groans to himself as the events of the last few days catch up with him, along with the aches and pains of every bruise and strain he acquired along the way.

He finally opens his eyes.  Barnes is peering over the side of the bed, brow furrowed with concern.

“I’m fine,” Clint grumbles.  “I’m an idiot, and my ears are gummy from sleeping in my aids, and I ache everywhere, and I desperately need coffee, but I’m fine.”

Barnes leans a little further over the edge of the bed.

[I] [know] [little] [sign], Barnes signs at Clint.  [and] [I] [make] [coffee].

“You’re amazing,” Clint blurts out.

Barnes’ smile is surprisingly sweet.

Modern AU, No Powers, Angst with a Happy Ending, Hurt/Comfort, Misunderstandings, Dom/sub, Loki goes to stay with Steve in his cabin in the woods, definite enemies-to-lovers vibes

Summary:

And then Loki moved to turn away, still standing despite the way he trembled, but Steve reached for his neck, gripping his nape and stopping him. His skin was sweaty and hot.

"Shh, none of that, now. It's time to settle for me. Just settle." He punctuated the words with a firm squeeze.

Loki has been adrift, an outsider in his family—a bastard child that Odin made sure knew his place.

He’s made a life of bringing shame to the Odinson name out of spite, which leads to his mother’s death, starting a spiral made of unsafe hookups and illicit substances.

But Thor refuses to lose his brother, too.

A plan is devised: Sending Loki to stay with Thor’s friend from the army, Steve, who lives in the woods of Maine, far away from the city and the temptation it brings.

Except Steve and Loki aren’t strangers—having once shared a perfect night that had made him feel comforted and safe, given him a taste of something more.

It had terrified him enough that he’d bolted before Steve woke the following day.

So now, misunderstandings and miscommunication, misjudging each other, all play out, as neither has all the facts, leaving them to realize a few truths along the way.
