I was lost in a place no one wants to be
Trying hard to convince my heart to believe
You were there all along, I just couldn't see
that there's a love in your arm that's waiting for me
Out of my head into your arm (part 2)

Hii AJ! I'm not sure how many pending asks you have atm or if I'm even supposed to be sending asks to this blog instead of JWB but since this is unrelated to IPK I thought to reach out here, please answer only if you want to and have the time to :)
I finished Ipkknd a while ago and I have had nothing good to watch for so long, i was looking forward to Kabhi kabhi ittefaq se and Balh2 but i couldn't get into the latter and the former seems like some show I've seen already, do you still watch something on ITV and do you have any recs?
Also, random question but when did you first watch Ipkknd? What got you hooked to it?
Hello loveliest@rae-blogging Since you wrote to my other blog toh you get the benefit of a faster reply, lol. I have 15!!!
Tumblr media
You are very very sweet so ofc I'd love to reply to you! Thank you for the loveee <3 Currently ITV is in its worst state in its existence. There's barely anything worth watching.
The two shows that is on air and I'm watching are:
Tumblr media
Waghle Ki Duniya - a fun family sitcom that's about a middle class family
Tumblr media
Ziddi Dil Maane Na - not the most interesting show but it's a fun take on friendships, love and life in a military setting (very nostalgia feelz of early 2000s Star One)
I keep a track of:
Tumblr media
Imlie - Sumbul and Farhan are great actors and share amazing on screen chemistry and I was taken by Aryan and Imlie's platonic relationship that simmered with the first blush of love. However I'm not the biggest fan of this forced wedding and all. Big turnoff. The show works well when stereotypical plot points aren't forced in. Also Imlie's loyalty to her 'ex sasuraal' is getting on my nerves, along with Aryan choosing the most convoluted way of getting a girl out of emotionally abusive and controlling relationships.
Tumblr media
Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se - the bengali version of this show was very sweet and it's kinda refreshing. The first few episodes are hard to sell and it feels like a reboot of Sasural Genda Phool however this show is a decent watch from the moment the leads decide to mutually agree to a divorce post a year. The show is wholesome and has its moments, but nothing that keeps me hooked to it.
Tumblr media
Bade Ache Lagte Hai 2 - I am attracted to Ram being such an awesome guy. Absolutely love him! The plot? Not so much. Again first few episodes are tough to sell but this is the only reboot of an old show that is actually very good? Priya's character growth is stagnated so it puts the story in a slow pace - otherwise her pragmatism is charming - apart from the self age shaming. In short it's not something I'm very invested in, but it has its moments of 'aww' and 'hey that was nice'. The pros is that you can see good friendships in the show. The cons is sometimes this pair of 32 and 38 years old behave like they're in their 80s and there's nothing left to life cause they're so old. Dude even people in their 80s enjoy more at times. Last pro - Nakuul and Disha actually have really good chemistry.
Tumblr media
Fanaa - it is a bit too quickly paced for my liking, but it's Colors show and the channel people there are crazy - they literally change plots overnight - but it's the only thriller show where the female lead is actually disgusted by the male lead's obsession and the male lead is a brilliant example of a deranged anti hero. It's like if Shyam was Khushi's best friends and did his shenanigans. First few episodes are a hard sell but I really like that the show ships the friendship and how Pakhi is growing to love her friend, but then seeing a brutal end by the fact that her friend may not be who she thinks he is. I only hope it ends as a good revenge drama. The female lead isn't an idiot and the male lead isn't a BUAHAHAHA villain. He has his motivations - but isn't excused for it and his psychology has its negatives and positives. IN GENERAL THOUGH, ITV has lost the era where something was consistently good. People who have long watched ITV have simply stopped watching it now and it's understandable. You might like these set of recommendations I had for shows in the recent past. If you wanna watch something Desi - I'd highly recommend going back to old shows cause old is literally gold here.
Tumblr media
One other show that's not in my recs anywhere is Kaatelal and Sons. I definitely recommend watching this show all the way till the father accepts the two daughters for his business and where both of their marriages are fixed and it's a happily ever after. This is the guide for the show:
Watch it completely till Episode 167 (SKIP THE PART WHERE CHANCHAL CHACHI HAS MET AGNI'S MUM), otherwise watch as per time stamps below,
Episode 168 - 0:00 - 14:55, 18:38 - end of episode
Episode 169 - 0:00 - 1:56, 4:34 - 9:42, 10:04 - end of episode
Episode 170 - 00 - 2:10, 2:36 - 4:22, 6:42 - 8:43, 9:31 - 10:04, 10:39 - 11:46, 14:04 - 20:22
Episode 171 - 0:48 - 2:33, 5:59 - 9:09, 12:02 - 14:36, 18:27 - end of episode
Episode 172 - 00 - 4:42
Episode 173 - 4:26 - 11:31, 12:02 - end of episode
Episode 174 - 0:00 - 9:42
Episode 177 - 0:00 - 3:59, 9:55 - 10:55, 16:48 - 19:30, 19:44 - end of episode
Episode 178 - 0:00 - 1:50, 2:12 - 7:55, 8:17 - 9:42
Episode 179 - 2:33 - 3:20, 7:21 - 8:22, 9:41 - 11:26
THE END - THAT'S IT THE SHOW ENDED THEN AND THERE!
Phew that was a long list - hope you enjoyed this ask :)
Lots of love,
- AJ

Hi again! Sorry about not being clearer about the 'misunderstanding reveal' question; I couldn't check whether it was after the suicide attempt or the bridge confrontation at that time but I meant just after the suicide attempt! Arnav says the line"tumhe dekh kar hi mujhe-" just after telling Khushi why he married her. Thanks once again :)
Hiyya!
Oh man anon, let’s take a moment to torture ourselves with the fact that Arnav brought the truth to his lips for Khushi.
Main Lavanya se pyaar nahin karta ... and I think kabhi karta bhi nahin tha.
I mean, he’s saying “It was always, always you.” and she can’t hear it. And the way he says it, eyes downcast because he knows he loves her, and then making eye contact again to convey -- I know what love is now, and that was not it. I mean, this is the same man who couldn’t tell her why it mattered if she was in an accident.
And omg my sweet girl, her “aur hum ...” always, always breaks my heart because he knows how that sentence ends as well and he can’t trust it no matter how much he wants to.
*dissolves into a puddle of feelz*
Okay, I’m done. Moving on.
When Arnav says “tumhe dekh kar hi mujhe ...” [The mere sight of you. ..] and then stops himself, I think he’s about to say he’s disgusted by the mere sight of her. He stops himself a few minutes later when he says “jitni bahar se masoom dikhti ho, andar se utni hi ...” [However innocent you look from the outside, on the inside you’re ...] -- again, he stops short of calling her disgusting.
Arnav was so hurt that he literally couldn’t bring himself to articulate what he saw and felt, and even when he did, he couldn’t go all the way and insult her.
What changed on the bridge was that Khushi hadn’t explained herself and (to add insult to injury) acted as though nothing had happened.
Actually toh tumhe koi farak nahin padta hai. Shayad issi liye mujhe kuch explain karna zaroori nahin samjha. ... ... Khushi, mujhe explain karna zaroori nahin samjha?   [Actually it didn’t make a difference to you. Maybe that’s why you don’t think it’s necessary to explain yourself to me ... ... Khushi, don’t I deserve an explanation? (literally: Khushi, don't you think it's necessary to explain yourself to me?)]
Like, he cannot wrap his head around it. The Rajkumar aspect of him spent all those months hoping, wishing, praying she was innocent, and when she’s given a chance ... she’s silent??? And that’s when the insults really fly.

Hello Jalebi Weds Bluetooth! How are you doing? So i would love your opinion on this. When do you think Arnav genuinely realised Khushi is the one and she will be his wife and vice versa. I know gradually they both felt it but i would like to know your take on when they 1st properly realised, thank you for taking your time reading my post. Love your blog!
Hello Anonymous! (That’s the short for anon!)
Thanks for taking my full name 😊 I’m doing well dear. As you’ve mentioned, it was really a gradual moment. Arnav got fragmented realizations about Khushi over time.
During red saree he realized the sexual attraction he felt for her. When he thought she left for Lucknow he realized he was falling for her (as he thought about her when Di spoke about love) but also refused to give it any weight considering his negative outlook on love. During Khushi’s engagement and his own breakup he realized he was truly in deep for Khushi but did not see any future for them together (despite trying to prove to Khushi she had a better future with him instead of the terrible person she was engaged to). After haldi he realized he not only loved Khushi but he also wanted to make her a part of his life, something reaffirmed by his sister later next day.
The terrace scene fractured a lot of things but Holi, sundari shaitaan touch on a few of these feelings and kidnapping is when he loves her with abandon. He is sure of her as his wife the minute they’re married to mark possession and we see a change in his acceptance of her role in his life with the change of dynamic he has with Guptas and of course, when he slaps Shyam for insulting his wife. The woman who is the most precious for him.
Khushi’s love/attraction for Arnav was very deep seated in denial. It really hovered over attraction and infatuation for the longest time until it suddenly crashed on her that she’s in love with him! She saw a full future to deny any relationship until she saw nothing and then she’s super skittish again with her feelings post Diwali. She always recognizes and allows him to take certain liberties with her and is probably on the verge of accepting affection on the night of Payal and Akash’s wedding. Post wedding her unfulfilled love sits in her heart but she never feels she has a place in her life. The only person to whom she claims he’s her husband is Shyam. Arnav being her husband acts a shield for her in a way. She dutifully does abide by what a wife means - and is probably accepting of that when he tells her to move forward with him in marriage post the kidnapping (which is again shaken by Anjali’s abortion attempt). I think she fully accepts him, her emotions and their marriage when he tells/yells that he loves her.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog 😊
Love,
- Jalebi weds Bluetooth

Hi JWB! Great blog! And your podcast is really fun too!
I was watching Arnav and Khushi's Roka episode and noticed that the Poolside scene with Arnav saying "Aane Do" was directly taken from a scene in DDLJ! I don't know how I never noticed it for this long.
I was wondering if there were any other scenes like that from the show that were inspired by iconic movies?
Hello Anon!
Thank you so much <3 That's quite an interesting observation! Yes there are quite a few moments of the show that's taken straight from popular cinema (there might be a few moments here that's just popular in general). And to be honest I really can't remember much from the one one mentioned and two below that I mentioned but I SWEAR there were more scenes. I can even imagine my mother going "omg this is just like the film"
So if anyone remembers - please comment below!
Arnav Khushi's Choti Si Duniya
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was a very strong inspiration from Rockstar's moment where Heer tells Jordan that all the outdoor noise is now gone and this is their own world. Over here Khushi muses that she finds the outer world weird and this is her innermost sanctum - her, Arnav and their world.
Khushi's reaction to Arnav's kiss
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If that does not scream K3G to you then what will? The difference here though is that Rahul Anjali share more of a comedy friendship bond and Rahul is being a chill flirt while Arnav is being very very intentional, not quite open with his feelz, and there's just a LOT more history over here. SO this is not a copy more of a similarity that the makers MAY or MAY NOT have taken a look of.
The ‘Tika’ Scene
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks to @hi-this-is-permabanned Ok bonus points to IPK for making it look more aesthetic but this was COPY PASTE from the Hindi film Judaai. Essentially the second wife is more proper - shes raised abroad but she has better values and in one of the scenes where she undermines the first one and unintentionally proves herself as a better wife is during the ‘Tika’ scene. Tbh I had no idea what this meant during IPKKND. The swami track is a fever dream to me.
Love,
Jalebi
