Hi! I just finished Usher and i'm astonished. Congratulations to you and everyone involved for making such a beautiful show! Throughout all of your projects we've seen an amazing ensemble of actors come back to make appearances in the most endearing roles, I appreciate that because as an spectator I get to experience that familiar bond you guys share and feel a part of it. My question is about those actors who have appeared in only one project of yours (or, at least not being recurrent). Is there any particular actor that you would like to bring back for a project but haven't got the opportunity yet?
There are a lot of actors who have only been on set with me one time who I really want to work with again, like Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Katee Sackhoff, Zahn McClarnon, Hamish Linklater, Rory Cochrane, Dash Mihok, Jay Karnes, Amelia Eve, Tahirah Sharif, Paula Nunez, Cliff Curtis, Willa Fitzgerald, Malcolm Goodwin, and loads of others...

18th April 1934 saw the death of Glasgow businesswoman Kate Cranston.
Catherine, or Kate, Cranston was the daughter of George Cranston, a Glasgow baker baker and pastry maker who, in 1849, the year of her birth, diversified into running a hotel. Originally the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway Hotel, this became the Royal Horse Hotel and, in 1852, “Cranston’s Hotel and Dining Rooms”.
Kate’s older brother, Stuart, became a tea dealer at a time when Glesga had a strong temperance movement and tea, until the 1830s a luxury for the rich, was increasingly being seen as an alternative to alcohol for the working classes. Stuart pioneered the idea of tea rooms in which his tea could be drunk in simple surroundings. Although Kate was not the first in the family to enter the business, when she established the Crown Luncheon Room on Argyle Street in 1878 she took the tea room to another level, placing great emphasis on the quality of the design and decor, on cleanliness, and on quality and choice of food.
n 1892 Kate married John Cochrane, but continued to trade as Miss Cranston’s Tearooms. She had opened her second tea room, in Ingram Street. She added a further tea room in Buchanan Street in 1897, and completed her chain with the Willow Tea Rooms in Sauchiehall Street, which opened in 1903. Miss Cranston’s Tearooms became the thriving centres of Glasgow’s society.
Kate Cranston always saw good design as central to her success. In 1888 she commissioned interior designer George Walton to design an Arts and Crafts styled extension for it the Ingram Street premises. Then, in 1900, she asked Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald to design a room, also at Ingram Street. She must have been impressed with the result, because she entrusted the pair with all aspects of the design of the Willow Tea Rooms. The results were a sensation at the time, and remain so today, such is the enduring quality of excellent design.
Kate Cranston pursued a number of other projects over the following years, sometimes calling on the design skills of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald. When he husband died in 1917 she sold her tea rooms and other business interests, and withdrew from public life. She had no children and after her death in 1934 it emerged that she had left two thirds of her estate to the poor of Glasgow.

1013 MUSIC REVIEWS
Louis Tomlinson – The Armory – Minneapolis MN – June 16th 2023
June 18, 2023 Kate Klaus
Live Nation and The Armory Louis Tomlinson with The Snuts and Andrew Cushin – The Armory – Minneapolis, MN June 16th, 2023
Louis Tomlinson returned to Minneapolis, and his growth as a solo artist was evident as he brought his “Faith in the Future” World Tour to the Armory in downtown Minneapolis, a large step up from his Minnesota stop last year.
British singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin opened the night with a beautiful acoustic set. A quickly rising star, backed by support from Oasis’s Noel Gallagher, he has taken the UK by storm, and judging by the reaction of this US crowd on his second night of support for the Faith in the Future tour, he is sure to continue to climb. His performance was simplistic, just acoustic guitar, accompanied by keyboard, but his infectious energy and smile paired with lively and beautiful vocals won over the crowd and started off a great night of music.
Scottish band The Snuts followed, with vibrant, poppy energy, getting the crowd hopping and dancing. The indie rock band, who released their first studio album “W.L” in 2021, are known for their energetic live performances and catch guitar riffs. Lead singer and guitarist Jack Cochrane boasts a dynamic stage presence and a distinctive voice, well suited for their rock sound. Joined by guitarist Joe McGillveray, bassist Callum Wilson and drummer Jordan “Joko” Mackay, the Snuts had the excited crowd at the Armory screaming and jumping, getting them energized for the rest of the show.
Louis Tomlinson took the stage to the deafening screams of the crowd. After the massive success of his first solo album “Walls” in 202, the former One Direction superstar has clearly established himself as a successful solo artist, with the release of his 2022 album “Faith in the Future”, for which this world tour is named. He started off the night with the first track of the album, “The Greatest”, with his charismatic stage presence and quiet, shy smile winning over the crowd. He followed that with “Kill My Mind” from his previous album, and throughout the night mixed in songs from both albums, and sprinkling in covers, including One Direction songs “Night Changes” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go”, as well as a flawless and haunting cover of the Arctic Monkey’s “505”. The entire set was moving and charismatic, and his energy captivated the crowd. On the closing song of the night, “Silver Tongues” as streamers shot out of confetti canons, he left the Armory draped in streamers of the trademark red color of the tour, and left the fans with an unforgettable night of music and emotions.

okay i can't get it out of my mind - tini dump about kate cinderella girls, and my dreams for both international girls and the producer ( aka developing oc man )
the international / foreign girls in imas: cinderella girls (as far as i'm aware) are Frederica Miyamoto (french-japanese, voiced), Yao Fueifuei (hong kong, unvoiced), Clarice (vague european (personally french or dutch inspo), unvoiced), Anastasia (russian-japanese, voiced), Layla (Dubai / UAE, voiced), Kate (London / England, unvoiced), Helen (vague european / american (personally italian / mexican inspo), unvoiced), Natalia (Rio de Janeiro / Brazil, voiced), Eve Santaclaus (Greenland, voiced), Cathy Graham (american-japanese (born in new york but has lived in japan) unvoiced), and Mary Cochran (San Francisco / America, unvoiced). I don't include Shiki here because, although she studied in American, she's Japanese and isn't from anywhere over there. I also don't include the three Korean-exclusive deresute characters since they're discontinued after that server shut down (but also shoutout to them I love them too). However they are all side characters, just not a part of the project.
Kate is my favorite unvoiced girl, specifically because our names are similar, as well as slight backstory stuff (her love for her parents; "She's an exceedingly friendly and social person, often greeting everyone she passes by. She's also very touchy in comparison to other idols, enjoying giving others hugs or kisses to show her affection." from her wiki page / events, very me coded). So, in my International Girls imas cingirls idea, Kate is the true protagonist, with Natalia being the leader of the group and acts like a dual protagonist. While she's not the first of the international girls to be voiced (that order being Anya > Freddy > Natalia way later > Layla > Eve most recently as of literally Christmas; congrats to her cingirl first place), I wanna give Natalia bunches of love and more spotlight to get fleshed out as a character as well, as well as her and Kate becoming besties. The International Girls story would just be them forming into a unit, learning to appreciate their differences as well as come to feel like a cohesive unit despite them, and ultimately proving themselves as idols on the stage.
The Producer for that idea, in my mind, is Lotus Juice (LotusP, if you will), since he's proven himself in his own field, is from New Jersey and fluent in both english and japanese, and is also in a duo unit with TakeP aka Takeuchi Shunsuke aka the producer for cinderella girls, so it all just make sense in my mind. Story-wise - LotusP gets invited to the job after TakeP offers it to him as a friendly favor, since they both went to college together and / or went up in the ranks together before TakeP started raising idols / doing his cinderella girls "power of smile" project. Inspired by him, and not wanting to look a gifted horse in the mouth, the rougher and older man accepts, with TakeP being his occasional talking partner for advice. LotusP, in my mind, is suddenly named Austin in my mind (don't ask why idk). And he just kinda acts like Lotus Juice (chill older guy who seems kinda gruff, but is really mature), yet also has like a rough tsun thing going as he's not at all good with taking compliment, and gets dragged into scenarios and forced to play the straight man for gags. It's almost like he doesn't want to be a producer, but he needs a job and wants to stay in the music biz, but he ultimately takes his job (taking care of all the girls' and their schedules, as well as personally helping with some of their songs' production) very seriously.
Another thing I wanted to look into for a bit of drama is idol v school life, specifically as Kate is an international study abroad uni student that becomes an idol. In the end, like in her stories, she proves to her dad that she can be an idol and go to school, and at the very end she graduates and becomes an idol full time. Freddy is also in college for design; she can graduate too as a treat. It also makes me want to make Kate/Nat/Freddy triple protags, as it fills out the kind of NewGen-esque protags the original cingirls had, as well as I think they'd make good friends.
(Also, if anyone asks, Layla's backstory of running away from a planned marriage to Japan with the support of her mother but keeping the father in the dark...I literally just learned that TODAY, which was WILD, and yes in my plotline idk if I wanna explore that or just ignore that so! Hmm!!!!)
Also the eleven full group's unit song would be titled "Universal Parade", after the unit in the mobage game (which originally consists of CathyNatKateMaryFreYao), and their outfits would be similar to the unit "Your Friends" (NatKateMary) outfit set in the original mobage as well (without the fluffy bit or with the fluffy bit reincorporated somehow).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also the actual outfits for NatLayla's unit "Sol Qamar" is very cool.

Kate • @erstkate • 4:21 PM · Jul 11, 2022 ...there seems to be a concerted effort to create a pseudo-scientific body of writing which can be quoted as evidence in anti-trans propaganda Zinnia Jones • @ZJemptv • 4:23 PM · Jul 11, 2022 There is such an effort. The Florida Department of Health, for instance, cited a Cochrane review on transfem HRT but misinterpreted it; it didn't support their transphobia at all. But this would give them something that does support them, from an authoritative source.
This is long-time American fundamentalist playbook right here. They did the same thing to attack lesbians and gays in the 80s and 90s, and abortion rights as well. "Publish a lie, then quote the the lie in other publications as a reference" is lie-laundering 101.
They'll go five or six levels deep with this stuff. Sometimes they're citing one of their own so discredited that nobody will take their bullshit seriously; sometimes they're just making shit up; sometimes they're lying about the work of real scientists.
One time I found a stack of references that had clearly been set up well in advance - they had a whole cottage industry of lie-laundering for this work - and they'd accidentally made the reference chain a circle. You'd always end up back to the article where you'd started.
And you have to understand:
THIS IS INTENTIONAL. THEY KNOW THEY ARE LYING.
They don't care, because they judge "truth" differently, and that test is not "is it real" but "does it serve the movement?"
If it does, then facts don't matter, it's "truth."
And here's the other thing you have to understand:
PEOPLE WILL FALL FOR IT. REPEATEDLY.
It'll be stultifying and horrifying how many people will fall for it. The same people, once burned.
This is how it was last time and it'll be the same.
That'll include a LOT of media.
Part of this is because a lot of people kind of want that shit to be true.
But more of it is because when they launder lies, they launder the same lie a lot of different ways, and in particular, they launder it in ways that it looks juuuuuust different enough to be new.
"Look at all these sources!"
...of the same lie.
That's part of the "game." Of the "strategy."
So what do you do?
Get good at digging. Get good at burrowing down their lie stack, and finding how they've done it this time.
And build your book of real studies - of real data - that refute their lies.
They won't care. But the people they've suckered might.

I was late. Did yardwork and took a walk, and got my wife out the door to her night shift. Then I dozed off. Woke up, got going.. Did not prepare anything different for the night. I just took an extra box of 45's. I need to get the library together! I have a lot of records, in no real order…..
Order. Maybe that’s not who I am. I have to try. Who knows whether I will keep it together, but I’m going to have to try, just to honor the creators of these records, to serve the interests of the people who provide the theater of operations I’m working in, and to the people who wander in, to have a drink, to play a game or make a connection somehow. At the very least, do no harm to the vibe.
LEAVE THE VIBE CAMPSITE IN BETTER CONDITION THAN YOU FOUND IT!

27th May 1849 saw the birth in Glasgow of Kate Cranston, who did much to promote the popularity of tea rooms, and was an important patron of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
In 1892 Kate married John Cochrane, but continued to trade as Miss Cranston’s Tearooms.
