Huh. Since my reblog of the other post appears to have vanished? Not sure what happened there? Have a random set of opinions on the relative sexiness of D&D 5e classes:
Rogues have the dual allures of competence and the forbidden tryst. Warlocks are beautiful disasters that you know will be bad for you but can’t help wanting anyway. Sorcerers have power humming in their blood, a tangible electricity in your hands. Druids are the ones who shyly court you by leaving their favourite flowers and mushrooms and weird animals on your doorstep. Wizards are a different flavour of disaster to warlocks, those idiots who are simultaneously highly competent and dumb as a box of rocks, and they make you simultaneously want to strangle them and kiss them stupid. Rangers are that beau who are just there when you need them, a thousand little tiny practical things that just lighten your day. Barbarians are passion and power and that person strong enough to scoop you into their arms, even if they’re technically smaller than you. Fighters are all about precision, taking the time to learn something right, and then replicate it time after time. Monks are about the dance, weaving around you and grinning when they get the cheap shot, leaving you half livid and half delighted. Artificers are about the act of creation, sometimes mad, sometimes stupid, sometimes inspired, that crook of the finger and twist of the wrist. Clerics are the islands in the stream, that rush of power and illumination, that glimpse of something bigger and more beautiful. Paladins are the oath, the promise kept, the ‘til death do us part’. Bards are the romance, the right words at the right time, the background knowledge of support, the clever fingers playing chords across your skin.
It’s dealer’s choice, honestly. There’s something there for just about everyone.
But for the record I would personally take artificer (blacksmith, mechanic, grease monkey, strong, clever hands, that know how to heal and how to create), barbarian, and certain flavours of cleric (tempest, for vibrancy and electricity, forge, because see artificer previously, and twilight, because I will make for you a twilight bower where we can both be safe, and love you under the starlight) for my top three. No offense to Liam O’Brien, but I don’t have the patience for wizards. I would take a gothic romance with a weary paladin, though.

ideas for Curse of Strahd I had you can steal (for dms)
there's a lot of things for my CoS campaign as DM I'm changing from the book for multiple reasons and I figured I'd share my changes in case anybody would wanna use em too
(spoilers for CoS btw warning also really long and infodumpy)
Strahd and Rahadin are around the same age. they were both like 25 when Barovia became part of the domains of dread (mainly cuz I like the idea of Strahd and Rahadin being like childhood friends that also went to war together)
Strahd getting rid of Sergei was calculated like he casted disguise self or something so nobody would find out it was him. I imagine he had some way of distracting\incapacitating Rahadin so he wouldn't hurt disguised Strahd or stop him from taking out Sergei. Rahadin has no idea Strahd is the reason Sergei is dead and probably blames himself deeply for what happened. (I feel like since Strahd is a really smart man he would've at least tried to hide his crime like he did in I, Strahd also I like the drama of Rahadin eventually learning Strahd was the culprit and in the book I couldn't find any mention of if he knew about Strahd killing his brother or his feelings about it since he's loyal to the Von Zarovich line as a whole I think)
The Vistani as a whole do not work for Strahd only a specific clan of them do which is Madam Eva's clan but the other clans have their own feelings and opinions of Strahd (mainly so no one thinks all Vistani work with Strahd and to differentiate the specific groups of Vistani)
The dusk elves after Patrina was stoned were punished by a curse via a Vistani that worked for Strahd to where they couldn't have kids for 100 years but Strahd wasn't too happy when he found out about that not only because that wasn't the punishment he had in mind and the curse also effected Rahadin. Regardless of the curse Strahd ordered Rahadin to cut the ears of the elves that took part in Patrina's death as a lighter punishment. The campaign starts on the 99th year of it (I didn't feel comfortable having all the dusk elven women killed and it gets rid of the plot hole of the dusk elven men just having half elf kiddos as well as trying to give a plotline of Rahadin having to decide if he wants to have an heir or become a vampire since he's still mortal and is literally 50% of Strahd's impulse control)
No normal Barovian knows that Strahd is a vampire the only people who do are on his side or who want him dead they all assume Strahd is like Strahd the forth or something (there's not really much of a reason character wise I just wanted Strahd being a vampire to be a plot twist to the group also to show how secretive Strahd is)
Doru in the campaign won't start as a vampire spawn at least not til the second chapter of the campaign. He's going to be a temporary member of the party (maybe as like a cleric or bard of spirits). He gets turned by Strahd as a warning to the party after whatever the party decides to do with Escher cuz they need to deal with the consorts and Rahadin to get to Strahd and he gets angrier each time a consort gets dealt with. (I wanted to make the reveal that Doru was turned to be more upsetting since the party would've known him as a friend)
Sergei's ghost possess the Sun Sword (I thought it was cool and so that the party could hear about the truth of what happened from Sergei himself also cuz I never really hear much about Sergei being implemented into the campaign outside of the Krezk pool)
this is all I've got for now uh lemme know if you'd wanna hear more of the ideas I had or if you like em

The Yarn Spinner - Snippet
Might write a full thing of this. I really hope to, but I've got a draft to finish and so many more to start. Please enjoy this snippet from another Instagram prompt. (I forgot what it was) ;((((
She sat there at her loom, working furiously at the nearly-finished piece.  The shuttle slides back and forth between the threads, interlacing fibers before they are stacked together neatly with a quick pull of the reed.  She works fast, heedless of mistakes.
The end is near, she knows it.
She’s seen the newspaper articles portraying their deaths, graphic and disturbing.  She can’t count the nights those horrifying pictures had stolen from her.  Fear became sleep’s greatest enemy.
Why does she feel fear?  She wonders.  Everyone dies at some point.  She doesn’t wish to end like this.  She’s still young.  A full life ahead of her.  But alas, the devil doesn’t discriminate.
She remembers Thirdy, blonde and joyous, like a bard from the old nations, singing tales of victory.  Tabitha, somber and thoughtful, her pieces questioned life and its meanings and the pondering of a human spirit.  Old Man William, with his one eye spectacle, writing stories since he was a young lad, encased with the wisdom he had gained over the years.  The list went on and on.
Now, they’re all gone.  And she was left.
Quinn, the one destined to spin the yarns.  She told stories not through a pen but with a loom and a spindle.   Her tapestries are a different kind of parchment/ medium.  But she was to end the same way as the rest of them.
She couldn’t help but weep, tears falling from her eyes onto the colorful threads below.  It was finished.  She cut the thread and took out her final work.
Death was near her door.
She wraps it up quickly and hands it off to Maddy Lady, her beloved Lady-in-Waiting- (For our dear Quinn was a duke’s daughter, ironic how not even the guards could save her from her fate).  The girl ducks out the window, tossing the tapestry before jumping out as well,  falling onto the soft cloth below.  She picks it up and runs into the night, street oil lamps lighting her path as Quinn watches forlornly from her dimly-lit room until the shadows of an alleyway swallow her up.
Wind blows through the open window, catching her curls and tugging at them, whilst drying the tears on her face.  Playful still, even with her end so close.  She hears his footsteps before she sees him.  She turns to face her murderer, the Author.  All the stories she’s heard of him come right back to her.
There’s no way to escape him.
He plays his game like he’s God.
In a way he is.
He controls your very being, your very life.
I’m sorry, she thinks, that the story you were a part of wasn’t one you were satisfied with.
But it gives you no right to do this.
Dark eyes flash as if she had spoken her thoughts aloud and for a moment Quinn wonders if this mysterious killer is actually a woman.
A gloved hand reveals a gun beneath the robes, poised and ready.  A pointer finger held steadily over the trigger.
Thirdy had been hanged.
Tabitha had been poisoned.
Old William stabbed.
Such an unromantic way to die, she couldn’t help but lament.
This whole time, dread had gripped the young girl.  But now, face-to-face with death, fear’s slimy grip falls away and she squares up to meet the Author.  Chin up.  Shoulders back.  Never let them see it.
She remembers her friends.
Smiling and laughing.
Thoughtful and curious.
Ancient and wise.
Their stories all wrapped in her blanket.  Hidden, safe.  Til Maddy Lady released it to the publishers and the aftermath would be so profound that all this bastard’s crimes would pale in comparison.
She meets those eyes, one last time.
She knows now they can hear her.
So she screams in her mind,
One last line.
You can never keep us silent.
*gunshot
