For the record, I would watch the hell out of a Huell Babineaux spinoff.

Walter White's story was a blend of western and noir.

El Camino was a gritty and melancholic action-drama.

Saul's prequel was mostly a courtroom procedural/satire, and the romantic subplot ultimately hijacked the rest of the story.

My treatment for "Slippin' Kimmy" leans heavily on being a psychological thriller which feels like it's threatening to turn into gothic-horror at any moment. I want to borrow a lot from independent and foreign films of the late 60's/early 70's ("Suspiria", "Let's scare Jessica to Death", "Wicker Man", etc.).

But if you got the right cast for it, a light-hearted sitcom about Huell's extended family in Louisiana could be extremely watchable.

My attitude is that this is the Pop Corners era of Breaking Bad: the franchise already sold out its dignity with the failed cartoon shorts and the merchandising, why not just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. This story USED TO BE a self-contained narrative about one man's quest for power, but now fuck it; every character gets a spinoff, and the characters from those spinoffs get spinoffs, and we can just keep going like this forever, as long as the shows are plausibly set in some version of "the real world". As long as there's economic inequality and at least one character using unorthodox means to survive that inequality, we've got a show. There is no singular genre; there is no singular location and time period; every character has the potential to be the main character.

I've also heard some people say they want a show about Gus's childhood in Chile. Sure, that could work; they should do it; knock yourself out. But I wouldn't want to watch it because I think Gus is an insufferable hypocrite, and after BCS I'm REAL sick of him. But other fans like him, so give the people what they want.

Just let AMC keep milking this cash cow; it's a fun world to explore.

Remarkable directing debut by Jerrod Carmichael who also gives a strong co-lead performance together with Christopher Abbott.

The many darkly comedic parts makes it an enjoyable watch. But it should be mentioned that it's about a very serious topic. You probably should avoid watching the movie if you're already in a dark mood.

Hubie Halloween - 2020 Dir. Steven Brill

While at the same PJ party, I suggested we watch Hubie Halloween to mellow everyone out. My sister and I watched this when it released on Netflix in 2020. I'll say this is another classic Adam Sandler movie, since Sandler is doing another Waterboy character, but the humor is very good in this movie. The list of actors associated is immense: Steve Buscemi, Julie Bowen, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin James, Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, Lavell Crawford, Noah Schnap, and like every actor is amazing.

The ✨A E S T H E T I C✨ with Salem, MA covered in Halloween decorations, everyone doing Halloween parties, trick or treating, it's just so good. Wish I lived where Halloween festivals occur every year and are as huge as it was in this movie.
