Artists or Writers, show me the piece(s) you’re most proud of.
Tumblr media
Thought I’d drag this thread train here but add in writing because writers don’t get enough appreciation I feel like. Tumblr don’t get mad at me for the shakarian illustration. Nothing graphic is showing so chill.

isolde, tristan and palamedes by sir william russel flint, (probably) gaheris on the porta della pescheria of the modena cathedral
[ID 1: an oil painting of isolde laying on a stone balcony edge watching tristan and palamedes fight below. /end ID 1 ID 2: a stone carving of a knight on a horse. /end ID 2]
tristan and isolde are in love with each other (whether it's on purpose or by accident, but either way they definitely don't care about the consequences of it). tristan and palamedes have their homerotic rivalry that isn't really a rivalry. palamedes is in love with isolde and for a time they're kind of, sort of engaged. they're what arthur/guinevere/lancelot wishes it was.
the damsel of galestroet is so in love with gawain that she kidnaps gaheris and uses him as bait to trick gawain into a murder-suicide. after gawain rescues his brother he leaves him with maurus (who doesn't like gawain at all but does owe him a favour) and maurus ends up going to war with the damsel. after they agree to a duel between maurus and the damsel's champion (actually kay in disguise), in which maurus wins due to gaheris' favour, the damsel is charmed by his battle skills and bloodlust and agrees to marry him, at which point he asks gaheris to stay and join their relationship

I'm not saying that I named Steren after a certain Mistborn character... but I'm not not saying that either.

very puzzling that gawain decided to adopt the daughter of the man he had just killed rather than doing literally anything else. he doesn’t even bother to talk to the children he already has

die wrake van ragisel, (probably) gaheris on the porta della pescheria of the modena cathedral
[ID 1: two nearly plain manuscripts next to each other, both titled die wrake van ragisel but with different volume numbers. /end ID 1 ID 2: a stone carving of a knight on a horse. /end ID 2]
gawain rescues ydeine and they start dating, until druidein tells gawain that he is in love with her and king bandegamus convinces gawain to disguise himself to see if she would cheat on him. she does so without hesitation and gawain agrees that she and druidein would probably be a better match so they leave to live with bandgamus
