Honest to god forgot about those flying sting ray things, and especially forgot they're one of the first things we see in the show!

The art? For the opening sequence?? Is so cool????

Like those things that can shapeshift in the forest Diane hides in are in there? And MAYBE Gerheade? Idk about her but one of the fairies look a LOT like her/has a dress very similar to the one we see her wear AND she's bigger than the other fairies

And are there any demons with feathered wings besides the blue bird like things? Because if not there's an armored character with wings like the goddesses (who only have 1 pair of wings in the art) on the DEMON side. Probably just digging into this too deep, but it'd be REALLY cool if that was foreshadowing Estarossa/Mael

I really wish Elizabeth had muscles and wasn't CONSTANTLY portrayed as being physically pretty weak (at least that's how it comes across to me - in fights she's constantly told to run/is never given any chance TO fight physically). Because she literally can't be?

Like Elizabeth has been walking REAL FAR in that armor and it is DEFINITELY not light. Do you know the strength she'd have to have to move that? She also slumps in it and her footsteps are slow/small so it IS weighing her down but the fact that she can move in it as far as she has - and probably up and down hills too without falling - is impressive

Anyway reminder to myself to show Elizabeth being physically strong in my fics from now on. This is canon now and no one can fight me.

Also the shot of Elizabeth on the hill in the armor with the sun glaring through?? It's such a gorgeous shot??????

When Elizabeth said with the most dejected face "no" after he asked if her father got her a talking pig Meliodas looked momentarily like "that bitch."

I mean. Elizabeth. Sweetheart. Your dad IS laid up in bed sick. It just so happens that the holy knights ALSO arrested the rest of your family and refuse to get your dad help (I think? Cause Merlin has to magically treat the king for his illness later and I assume the holy knights would be wary of letting a doctor treat him. Maybe Vivian was treating him?)

Unless Elizabeth didn't know her father was sick. In which case. Oooooooof. What a reunion later if that's true

I forget what crime Merlin committed, because Elizabeth says the Sins are "composed of seven terrible criminals" unless she's not actually a criminal when they formed at least

Although I wonder if Meliodas also tried to make himself scarce around her once she got to the age where she would retain memories better to avoid the curse activating somehow? Because I have a shit memory but most people do tend to remember things, even vaguely, from the ages 3-6 (my friends and I all have our earliest memory around 2-3)

Hey there! We both spend a lot of money on Christmas. I just went to the supermarket and spent £30 on ice cream... Gelda bought Astrid an ice cream maker (from Santa) and Zeldris was worried it might not work well so now we have back up ice cream! In eight different flavours. Plus sprinkles and edible glitter.

I always buy Zeldris a suit for Christmas. And I very much enjoy the unwrapping part...

Just realised that apart from the demons who wear their darkness, not many people wear black in nnt apart from a few cases.(Meliodas’s white jacket, his tavern uniform, Gloxinia’s pants have a bit of black on them, the demon king)

And then I realised that it’s probably because black dye hadn’t been invented yet in those times.

(NTT Solmare) Otome Mini Review

🎮 - Gameplay 4/5

The game format is abit different compared to other Otome games produced by NTT Solmare. The format of the game play is slightly similar (Mr Love) by Paper games. Players need to pass little trails in the form of dance stages with character cards they earned. Cards range from Ultra Rare (UR) down to Regular (R). By passing the trails players can unlock chapters to continue the story line. Compared to other NNT Solmare games, you do not need to spend alot of money to unlock stories but time is required to pass stages to unlock stages which is not too much effort and I had the V.I.P pass which allows you to get bonus points and extras so I managed to finish the whole game in a week. 

🗝 - Story 4/5

In terms of LI the story does not separate into a individual route like the other Otome game, rather as the story progresses you get a chance to interact with each of the demon brother, understand their past and help them in certain situations to build a bond with all of them. The story line is well written as you get to understand and know each brother as well as getting a glimpse into the past as the story unfolds. Mammon is so funny and the interactions and bonds the brothers have is endearing. e.g. the twins. my fav is Beezlebub :) It would have been nice if each character had their own in-depth route as a spin-off, but still a great gaming system compared to other gaming system which requires money or time by building points for premium options to have a good story experience. 

Art Design 4.5/5

The art design and lighting presented in the background landscape looks great, from the interior room design to the character design on SSR cards and uniform. it would have been a 5 if they included CG within the story to enhance the gaming experience IMO. I especially like the twins and Asmodeus’ rooms as it really represents them. The colour scheme is cute and colourful with a dark theme of purple which conveys the demon world. 

I enjoyed the characters and the gameplay as it is not too much effort and achievable to unlock the whole story without breaking your bank account. I would really recommend this game to otome gamers who want to try something a bit different. The story line was well executed and the character depth for each of the brothers was shown with the story, overall a great game :)

What kind of clothes would you redesign Guila and Jericho into a modern world setting?

I feel like Guila’s fashion would relatively be the same... Most of her outfits are pretty casual and wouldn’t stand out much in a modern setting. Like most of her dresses and that one tanktop-sweatpants look she has. She dresses plainly, but well. She has a big wardrobe but a lot of it is all a similar look from what we’ve seen...

Jericho on the other hand... we don’t see her much out of her training uniform and when she’s at home, she’s usually in some type of dress. Jericho likes dressing femininely but I also think she’d dress like an athleisure lesbian on her day-to-day looks. You know. THAT vibe.

The thing about NnT is that it’s meant to be medieval fantasy-esque, but it’s also fantasy in the sense he merges more modern style into the clothes and culture and stuff... So it isn’t tooooo hard to rework their looks in today’s setting.

Excerpt, “No Power in the ‘Verse” Sequel [NNT/Firefly AU]

so idk how many remember this little disaster, but i’m finally working on the sequel! yes, you will soon find out what happened to elizabeth during the independents war, and why mel and ban are the way they are, i guess.

2019, the year fics are written and followed through, lol

warning: a character gets shot, characters get violent, and while it’s not graphic, there is blood. there is also some gratuitous chinese phrases/words. i can’t really translate atm because i lost some of the translations, but i hope to become better when this hot mess is finally finished.

She didn’t feel the shot, not at first.

There was this moment where her body felt numb, all sounds of the battle in Serenity Valley turning into a drone, and her vision becoming blurry—

“...Liz?”

— except when she turned and saw him. His face was dirty, his uniform of browns and reds and leathers all kinds of messed up, and there was still splashes of blood on his chin from when he’d gone hand to hand with an Alliance soldier. He came out clear, while everything else blurred, and for a moment nothing else mattered. He looked as wonderful as the first time she saw him, hard and worn from battle, the gaze in his eyes like ice but hinting at a glow, even when they’d met as enemies on the battlefield, so long ago (or so it felt).

No, wait. Something is….wrong, she realized, still unable to process what was happening to her body, not even realizing she was tasting her own blood; she could only feel the worry for him, a worry on top of so many others. Meliodas’ face was drained of color. His eyes, like emeralds, like green leaves blooming in spring, were wide and full of something that made her heart thump painfully. She’d never seen him like that before. Like his whole world was destroyed in an instant. She hated it. It was such an awful look on him, so awful, after seeing him smile around her—

And then Elizabeth was falling. It felt like such a slow descent, yet she wasn’t given enough time to process what was happening, or how fast it was happening. She didn’t even understand it, truly, until she felt the ground beneath her, dirt gathering like a cloud around her body. Her head didn’t feel the hit, but Elizabeth still felt a wave of nausea as her vision grew blurry, a ringing sounding through her ears until everything went black.

“��Elizabeth!”

“Oh, shit—”

“Ban, get her medbag!”

Feels a lot to ask for, compared to the awaiting sleep.

War is tiring. Losing blood and energy is tiring. Living can be just as tiring, even if there’s an after, even if the war ends.

When Elizabeth woke up later, she could still hear gunfire and war cries— but it all sounded faint, far away. Her eyes fluttered behind lids for a moment before she dared to open them, her vision blurry before becoming focused.

She was now surrounded by rock and dirt, in somewhere dimly lit by a campfire—a cave, or something like it. It was now dark, the night sky alight with stars, from what she could see from the little opening in the cavern wall just off her periph. It would be beautiful, if people weren’t dying outside.

Blinking some more, Elizabeth was able to process the murmured voices around her.

“Any news?”

“Nothin’ from HQ, Cap. Not yet.”

“What about the other platoons?”

“Barzard and his boys are still holding. Sergeant Reynolds is getting antsy, though.”

“Yeah, well, he can get in the gorram line,” muttered Meliodas, his arms crossed over his chest, his repeater strapped to his back. When he turned toward the window, his green eyes were molten as he growled lowly. “Ta ma de, where’s our humpin’ back up?”

“Somethin’ ‘bout this don’t feel right, Mel,” said Ban, hunched near a radio, his hands clenched. “We should have heard from them by now…”

“Yeah, I know...but you know our orders. We gotta keep hold, give our boys time to bring the fire. Dong-ma?”

“....Wǒ míngbái, Captain.”

Meliodas clapped a hand on Ban’s shoulder, and the two men shared a look before leaning their foreheads against each other, a gesture that was brotherly but also meant so much more. Now that she was sitting up on her elbows, the cushion under her clearly a stretcher, Elizabeth could see how morose Ban looked, his face smudged with dirt and bruised and his blood red eyes beginning to dull. Meliodas didn’t look any better, being the type to also throw himself into a fight with little thought, but there was still that fury smoldering his eyes, a defiance that refused to be snuffed out. Despite the bandage wrapped around her chest, the tender wound from the gunshot flaring, Elizabeth felt her heart thump, then swell with warmth— and then, with an amused smile, she cleared her throat.

“Wow, Ban,” she rasped, making her cough briefly. “I-I’m not even dead yet, and you’re already trying to steal my man? Bastard.”

Meliodas’ breath hitched, while Ban’s eyes went wide, his mouth twitching. They whipped their heads to throw stares of shock at Elizabeth, expressions that melted into pure relief. Meliodas was the first at her side, dipping his head down to kiss her mouth first — a sensation Elizabeth welcomed with a sigh — and then trailing warm kisses along her cheek. Ban was there next, on her other side, leaning his chin atop Elizabeth’s crown and letting out a deep sigh that nearly became a sob. A pressure building behind her eyes, Elizabeth bent one arm up to grasp Ban’s hand, while leaning into Meliodas’ kisses.

Probably not the best thing to do, all things considered, but things didn’t look too shiny at the moment. They deserved this at least, before leaping from the pan and back into the fire.
