日本へようこそ!
So you’ve decided to take that leap of faith and book a ticket to Japan have you? Congratulations; You’re in for a treat! Whether you’re drawn to the Island nations plethora of ancient Temples and Sacred spaces or the hustle and bustle of the cityscape, Japan and the Japanese people will leave a lasting impression on you that you will undoubtedly carry with you for all your days.
Japan, as we know it today, has a long history of being known for its distinct culture and traditions, some of which extend back to 300BC, what is referred to as the 'Jomon period'. Many elements of the Japanese culture developed fully undisturbed by outside influences and continue to be practiced with the utmost precision and dedication to the ways of old.
A finely balanced mix of unyielding tradition and ever evolving state of the art technologies, there are numerous other reasons why Japan is considered to be one of the world’s most fascinating countries.
So what exactly can you expect to find in Japan? Here’s a basic breakdown to make planning your trip that bit easier.
Language: The national language of Japan is Japanese. English wayfinding is widely available in major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto however sparingly found in smaller, countryside towns. Other languages commonly found include Chinese and Korean, with a smattering of other Foreign languages also available.
My advice, no matter how short or long a stay you have planned, is to learn even the most basic of Japanese. You’ll be amazed how accommodating the Japanese people can be when even the most basic of attempts at speaking Japanese is made and who knows, you might just end up making some new friends simply just by trying!
As the saying goes, you’ll never know if you don’t go!
Currency, Credit Cards & ATMs: The official currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY).
In Japan, cash is still very much king. While payment by card is becoming more widely accepted in restaurants and stores, my strongest recommendation is to carry a fair amount of cash with you. This applies to travel in major cities (where thankfully ATM’s are more widely accessible; hello 7-11 cash withdrawals!) as well as smaller, less well-appointed country towns.
At the time of posting 100 Japanese Yen (basically the equivalent of our dollar) buys $1.08 AUD and 69 US cents.
Banking: For cash withdrawals majority of Japanese banks will accept foreign cards (though be prepared to be stung by nasty transaction fees if you don’t have a bank card with 0 transaction fees on international withdrawals (hello Citibank!) with some exceptions.
Things to be aware of when your stash of cash starts to dry up is that not any and all ATM’s will accept International bank cards. I mean this literally; I have been stuck in a situation where my Australian bank card would not physically fit into the card slot of an ATM machine. Don’t be like me. Don’t be that person.
Other things to note is that some ATM’s as well as the cards themselves may have a restriction on what time of day money can be withdrawn. Not only that, but often, ATM’s located in banks are only available during banking hours (typically 9AM to 3PM) and not the full 24 hours some of us are used to.
Additionally, depending on your bank and card type, you may incur a daily cap (often¥300,000 which is equivalent to about (at time of posting) just over $3000AUD) on the amount of money that can be withdrawn from your card and account.
Power Plugs: Power plugs in Japan are type A and B. Plug type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin.
The standard voltage is 100 V, and the standard frequency is 50 / 60 Hz for those wanting to know.
To save yourselves suffering from having a dead phone or no charge in your camera battery (the literal worst thing for photography enthusiasts) I can’t stress how lifesaving a universal adapter is. Using a universal adapter takes the hassle out of having to purchase dedicated Japanese plugs for your devices and what not.
Just make sure that whatever plug and or adapter you go for has surge protection and a converter for hairdryers and hot tools. Let’s not be causing the entire hotel to experience an electricity surge now.
Safety: Japan is one of the safest countries in the world and is perfect for solo travellers.
Being a woman and one that enjoys solo travel, I can personally attest for the safety of Japan. While not recommended (let’s use some common sense here people), the chances of getting mugged while meandering around the streets at 3AM are pretty much zero to none.
It goes without saying that it pays to be aware of your surroundings and do what you must to keep yourself safe, day or night-time. If travelling in groups, be sure to keep an eye out for one another and organise a dedicated time and meeting spot in the case that one of you does get lost (it happens to the best of us!).
In the case of an emergency, you can reach emergency services on the following numbers:
Police: 110
Coast Guard: 118
Ambulance and Fire Services: 119
Emergency telephone numbers can be called from home phones, mobile phones and public phones. When making an emergency call from a public phone, neither money nor a pre-paid telephone card are necessary.
Although there are a few operators who speak English, if you do happen to find yourself in a situation where you need to call upon emergency services, you should be prepared to explain your situation in Japanese, so that the operator can assist you in the best way possible. It is advisable to speak slowly and specify if you need an ambulance (救急車です,  kyuu-kyuu desu) wish to report a fire (火事です, kaji desu), or need to report a crime to the police (犯罪です, hanzai desu).

After i played Disgaea 2, my first nippon ichi game, and shaw Gig, iv'e been wanting to play Soul nomad and the world eaters. And now, give or take 7-8 years. I finished the main story of Soul nomad around the 30 hour mark.
Verry good game. Probably my 3rd if not 2nd faivourite from the nippon ichi JRPGS. Being a 2007 game, there are some things you need to bare with. But. Ohh boy. It was so good.
i have started the demon path. And i am not thaaat big a fan of how it starts off. but i hope it gets better.
will not like. I am not regretting waiting for that long.
(lil spoiler for soul nomad and phantom brave ig)
Seeing endomorph pull out the Psycho Burgundy. made me get up from my chair, And made me conect some paralels to Walnut form phantom brave. Like... if some were to say the two games could in some way be connected. Pretty sure one could be an anccestor to the other.

Getting my RPG on! I now have all three volumes of Nis Classics Collection. These are Nintendo switch ports of some late 90's, older 2000's rpgs. They've been previously on ps1, ps2, psp and wii.
Volume 1 has Soul Nomad and Phantom Brave.
Volume 2 has Makai Kindom and ZHP
Volume 3 has La Pucelle and Rhapsody
These games are a great bang for your buck as their original versions now command a premium. If you're a fan of funny, quirky RPG games, either one of these is a solid choice.

I am a massive fan of MegaTen games. I love everything about them; the battle systems, characters, and overall world. I fell in love with the summoning and fusion systems of these games almost immediately and longed for other franchises to do something similar. It was basically Digimon Fusion before Digimon was a thing. Who wouldn’t want to Lego two Pokemon into a goddamn MewTwo? The missus introduced me to this brave new world with the purchase of Digital Devil Saga so long ago. It was one of the first gifts I ever got her. Watching her play that sh*t really awakened something within me. It was like watching my kid brother playing Final Fantasy IX for the first time but with, you know, violent monstrosities. Way back then, during the golden age of the JRPG, on the PS2, we made it a point to play all of the obscure titles. Nippon Ichi and Atlus were our bread and butter. We had copies of Stella Deus, every DIsgaea available, and even Soul Nomad. No one talks about Soul Nomad. One day, she came home with Persona 3. On that list was Persona 3 vanilla. Bro, after we booted it up and those first few notes of Burn My Dread popped, I was hooked. I must have put three hundred hours into that game. I conquered everything I could in that game, romanced every option, and completed one hundred percent of that sh*t. I unlocked every Persona on just two runs and readily did it again when FES released. The Answer was kind if disappointing but I didn’t mind running through the enhanced world of P3 once again. And then I did it one more time when P3P dropped, though, admittedly, Portable is my least favorite of the lot. Persona 3 opened my eyes to a world of RPGs beyond just your Final Fantasys and Dragon Warriors. Because I enjoyed this one game so much, I was open to trying out others. I wouldn’t have touched Magna Carta if not for Persona. I would have missed out on Rogue Galaxy. Wouldn’t have given Shining Force EXA a second thought. If I had never played Persona 3, I would have never played 4 or 5, and that sh*t seems so bewildering to me because those games are some of my all-time favorites. In fact, for a long while, Persona 5 was my favorite of these games. I wrote a whole thing about, about how, while I loved 3, 5 was a close second. It had legitimately closed that gap after Royal dropped but then Persona 3 Reload was announced. Guess who pulled ahead once again.
Tumblr media
I got Reload day one and immediately dove into to. It felt familiar, yet, new. It definitely got all the bells and whistles that made Persona 5 so enjoyable but was still definitely Persona 3. I got my copy for the PS4 so, while the presentation is loads better than the original, and it shows, it’s comparable to Persona 5. Having that “side-by-side” experience just solidifies that P3 IS my favorite Persona title and one of my all-time favorite games, period. I was a little bummed Burn My Dread wasn’t the opening song but Full Moon Full ain’t too shabby on its own. More than that, the quality of life changes are amazing. It’s the little things like the Online Saves or the fact you don't get fatigued in Tartarus anymore. I love how the original character designs got a remix, bringing them closer in line with that Persona 5 aesthetic, and boy do they steal from that P5 aesthetic let me tell you! The thing is, though, it feels full circle to me. I remember, way back when I was playing P5 (shout out to Tae Takemi, best girl in the entire game), that P5 feels like the spiritual successor to P3 in every way P4 is not. Don’t get me wrong, P4 is a classic, but it feels out of place in the trio, almost disconnected. Also, I remember hating Teddy. It’s like, did P3 influence P5, only to have that sh*t bleed back into Reload? I don’t know, and I don’t really care. I get to play Persona 3, on my PS4, with the look of Persona 5. I cannot stress how dope that is. Also, Satanael is DLC. You KNOW I bought due and have been decimating the early game! Thanatos is my second favorite Persona, always, Alice is the first (especially after I customize her), but Ren’s ultimate Persona is a strong third. Like, laughably so. There’s just something about summoning a Demon God that feels so…powerful. Also, you shoot God in the face. How can you not love that?
Tumblr media
I’m ten hours into Reload and it is everything I ever dreamed  a full-on Persona 3 remake should be. This isn’t that bait and switch FFVII pulled with Remake. No, for all intents and purposes, this IS Persona 3 but with modern game play and graphics. It’s like I’m popping ion the game for the very first time, damn near twenty years later. The Protagonist is as stoic as ever and the city of Tatsumi Port Island is alive with a vibrancy only the power of PS4 could bring. Building this game on the Unreal engine was a stroke of genius because the models are crisp, detailed, and fluid. There are so many little particle effects that make everything pop. The biggest upgrade is the UI. The thing is, I’m old as f*ck. I’ve been gaming since the old NES days. I’ve seen the evolution of video game and, for me, they peaked way back in the PS3 era. When P3 originally came out, I had no problem with how the title was presented. It got a little flashier with P3P and Persona 4 added their own flair, but Persona 5 really went in on the showmanship. P3R gets a bit of that and it goes a very long way to captivating the player. I thought modern hardware would affect the charm of these OG designs, but it doesn’t. It actually enhances them considerably. It’s subtle, but the bodies are longer, the eyes are smaller, and the overall proportions feel more realistic. I kind of love it. I also love the redesigns, so far. I mean, Mitsuru is gorgeous and I adore the new-ish Elizabeth model, but I’m holding judgment until the very end when I get to see Nyx again. And definitely get my ass throttled by her. Now, admittedly, not all that shimmers is gold. The fact that the Answer, the additional part of FES, isn’t included in what is a very obvious FES remake, kind of bones. I hear that it will be DLC down the line and that sucks. I like Metis. Her design was dope. I’m also not that huge a fan of Thanatos’ first reveal being made with in-game models. The visceral nature of that genesis feels lost when not in animation. It’s good in its own way but, goddamn, did that sh*t hit different way back when. These are, of course, superficial gripes because I am having the time of my life with this game! And it’s only the first play through. That New Game is about to slap crazy hard! I cannot wait to run it back with my heavy hitters on deck. Satanael be damned, getting Thanatos and my laughably OP Alice in the mix is going to be the best!

SID 20th Anniversary 「GRAND FINAL "The Place We Love Most"」 LIVE Report from Natalie music
Tumblr media
The culmination of SID’s 20th anniversary and the start of the second chapter in their “place they love most”
SID held its 20th anniversary live concert 『SID 20th Anniversary GRAND FINAL ‘The Place We Love Most』at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, on December 27.
Formed in 2003 with Mao (Vo) and Aki (B) as the core members, SID has been active since 2004 with the current line-up including Shinji (G) and Yuuya (Dr). In 2023, which marked the 20th anniversary of their formation, the band has held a series of live performances and releases, starting with a fan-club-only concert at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall) in Tokyo in January. The Budokan, where they have stood many times, was prepared as a place to conclude a fulfilling year.
New challenges on the 20th anniversary of the formation
A large chandelier and a huge pure white fabric draped from the ceiling to the floor. The first song was the ballad Ajisai (Hydrangea), a song about crazy emotions. “Wow!” was raised in joy and surprise.
After NOMAD, the band started with Anniversary, a fitting song for the day’s live. The band’s bright ensemble made the audience’s hearts skip a beat, and the mirror ball shone with glittering lights. The smiles on their faces on the screen told the audience that they were enjoying this stage to the fullest.
After performing a series of popular songs from their indies days, including Alibi, Wana (Trap) and Mousou Nikki (Delusional Diary), the members talked about their feelings on their 20th anniversary.
Then Mao said: “We’ve made a medley as a new challenge”, and Yuuya started stick-counting as a cue. Here, the hit songs Monokuro no Kiss (Monochrome Kiss), Ranbu no Melody (Melody of a Wild Dance), Uso (Lie) and V.I.P, which have represented SID since their major label debut, were delivered as “SID 20th Special Medley”, impressing the audience with the breadth of SID’s musicality.
Solos that appealed to the audience with their individuality
In the subsequent block, starting with Yuuya, the members entered the solo corner. While Yuuya performed a slow-paced performance using tracks, Aki excited the audience with his rock-inspired bass playing. Shinji played a hard-rock instrumental immediately after playing his smoldering guitar. The three players showed off their versatility with their three different performances.
Mao returned to the stage after receiving the baton from Shinji, and sings Kowairo (Tone of Voice) with special guest Hiroaki Hayama playing the piano. Hayama’s melody resonates close to Mao’s delicate “tone of voice”... At the climax of the song, Mao sings a cappella as if exploding with emotion. His singing voice, with all his heart and soul, was met with applause.
Immediately after finishing the song, Mao jokingly said: “It’s been a long time since I performed a cappella at Budokan. What you need to be able to perform this a cappella is courage.” Following his words: “Because it’s a big deal”, the five-piece lineup of SID and Hiroaki Hayama performed their new ballad Omokage (Vestige) which was just released as the opening theme song for the TV anime Heaven Official’s Blessing.
Aki’s provocation: “It’s going to get more and more intense from here on out, but can you all keep up?” was the starting point for the four of them to drop a rock number that revealed the aggressive expressions of SID. Before Propose, Mao charmingly declared: “It’s been 20 years, so it’s time to get married.” A loud cheer echoed through the venue.
The song that the four members prepared to conclude the main part was Yoshikai Manabu 17-sai (mushoku) (Yoshikai Manabu 17 years old (unemployed)), which was released 20 years ago. Mao, Shinji, and Aki dance in front of the rapt audience, and Yuuya supports them with a rock-solid rhythm.
A monolithic performance was etched into the Budokan, and the main part came to an end with a strong afterglow.
Mao’s confession: This is where I am alive
The four of them returned to the stage in response to the endless “Encore!” and continued with their new song Soyokaze (Breeze) which they wrote to express their memories of the 20th anniversary, followed by Natsukoi (Summer Love) and Dear Tokyo which have been loved since their indie days. They sang Natsukoi and Dear Tokyo with their fans, expressing the bond they have developed over the past 20 years in the form of a sense of unity.
Before the start of Ichiban Sukina Basho (The Place We Love Most) which is also the title of the live performance, Mao expressed his feelings in a hoarse voice:
“For the past few years, I’ve been going on stage thinking about things like whether I’ll be able to sing well or whether my throat will be okay, but I was really looking forward to today’s live show even before it started”, he says. “Of course it feels good to sing well, but no matter how good you sing, if you lack the feeling of having fun, it will be completely different. Today, I am thinking about how we can properly convey the footsteps of our 20 years.”
Looking back on the two-hour live performance, he said: “I sang with the only thought of whether I could deliver the love I’ve received over the years... It was a very satisfying live from the bottom of my heart.” He added: “With the support of many people, I was able to reach this stage. About two years ago, there was a time when I couldn’t sing an entire song or at all. That was due to technical issues, but it was also a time when I was struggling mentally. From then on, I started singing more and more songs. I’ve gotten to this point by increasing the amount and trying things out little by little. That’s why I think the second chapter of SID begins today”, he declared.
Mao then said: “This is where I am alive, and the place I like the most is this live stage. And I can’t do it without everyone there, and I can’t do it without all the members and staff. I'm going to sing from my heart without thinking about whether I'm good or not at the end," signaling the beginning of Ichiban Sukina Basho (The Place We Love Most).
Sparkling confetti fell from the ceiling as if to celebrate new beginnings of the four of them, and the live performance reached its finale in a gorgeous atmosphere. At the end, the members looked back on the days that passed through the anniversary year one by one and promised to reunite with their fans.
Mao standing in the middle of the stage, shouted “I love you!” with the mic off, and then wrapped his arms around the fans and hugged them tightly.
SID, that has entered the second chapter, will release a new single “Omokage” early in 2024. Furthermore, on May 18th and 19th, they will perform live “SID LIVE 2024 -Star Forest-” at Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater in Yamanashi. The Nippon Budokan performance will be broadcast/distributed on WOWOW in April.

i was curious enough to purchase soul nomad due to the tumblr post regarding villainy in gaming and well this game is deeply unpleasant i disliked it enough not to continue. partially thats on me for not looking up a content warning list and ignoring my previous experiences with this developer like. i greatly dislike nippon ichi titles though i thought well maybe soul nomad would carry a more nuanced and restrained tone due to the impression i received from discussions regarding its content matter im curious to see what this developer can do with a shift as such. suffice to say that was not the case the tone was unpleasantly juvenile and mean-spirited throughout my limited time with the game. i filed my complaints with a friend and she said well what were you expecting you wanted bad you received bad. but i dont think thats necessarily true theres a difference between exploring a characters ethics and decision making versus an overreliance towards crassness and vulgarity

Happy 30th anniversary Nippon Ichi Software
Today marks the 30th anniversary of Nippon Ichi Software. While NIS was founded in September of 1991 under the name Prism Kikaku, it didn't become the Nippon Ichi we know and love until July 12, 1993. The company is known for hit titles like the Disgaea series, Phantom Brave, Mad Rat Dead, Labyrinth if Refrain: Coven of Dusk, The Witch and the Hundred Knight, the Rhapsody series, Makai Kingdom, Soul Nomad, Yomawari, and La Pucelle. The alsy developed lesser known titles like My Harem Heaven is Yandere Hell, Last Rebellion, Criminal Girls, Yoru, Tomosu, and Trinity Universe, the latter of which is a crossover between Disgaea and Gust's own Atelier series featuring original characters from TU and was the basis for the Neptunia series. It also produced a mobile game called Makai Wars, which was released exclusively in Japan on February 15, 2018 that stars Asagi. Another mobile game they released is Disgaea RPG.
Tumblr media
Hyperdimension Neptunia has the character Nisa, the "self-proclaimed heroine of justice" who represents Nippon Ichi Software right down to her name (in this case, her name in the dub comes from Nippon Ichi's American branch NIS America). Her backpack is reminiscent of a Prinny, NIS's mascot, and she is voiced in Japanese by Kaori Mizuhashi (Laharl) and in English by Michelle Ruff (Etna). Oh, and she hates being called flat - a reference to the breast envy trope present in the NIS games (most notably Etna and Flonne). Despite disappearing from the Neptunia franchise since mk2, she has made some appearances in NIS's own titles like Disgaea 4 and 5, Makai Wars, and Disgaea RPG. The former even makes a reference to Gamindustri.

Which Disgaea Characters Would Join S.E.E.S? ((Potential Spoilers))
Tumblr media
((Hee ho dood! Prinnyfrost reporting for duty! Guess who got their P3 Aigis Edition Preorder last weekend?! I haven't finished the game yet, but it's starting off really good so far. In all seriousness, I was a bit worried at first when I discovered that The Answer and FemMC weren't going to be included in this game, but at the same time, I couldn't help myself from getting excited since its announcement. For those who don't know, Persona 3 is among the most influential games to me personally as it not only introduced me to the Persona and SMT series, but it also got me into Disgaea and Nippon Ichi. Long story short, my brother saw the original awakening cutscene where Minato shoots himself in the face, said "cool", bought it for us to play, and we enjoyed it. Months later, saw the original Disgaea for PS2 thinking it was made by the same company (not knowing at the time Atlus only published the game in the US), played it, had mixed feelings, played the sequel, liked it, went back to playing the original with a better understanding, and the rest is history. Basically if it wasn't for Persona 3, I probably wouldn't be so invested in 2 of my favorite gaming franchises. So what better way to celebrate this game's release than rehash an idea I used for P5R late last year?
Tumblr media
Well aside from going over which S.E.E.S members would be wearing Sonic outfits because Sonic 3 and Kunckle's spin-off (get the joke?) have been announced and P3R's US release just so happens to be the same day as the original Sonic 3 for Genesis. Seriously, Sega is cooking up a storm right now. This list is going to be the almost the exact same as last time but with one change.
Tumblr media
I will also include characters from Soul Nomad and the World Eaters as like I said before, this game would also make an interesting crossover with Persona 3 specifically. And considering how long this intro was, you can tell this is already going to be a multi parter so let's get into it!
Just like with the Phantom Thieves, Laharl is too bratty and demanding for S.E.E.S. He and Yukari will not get along at all and like Junpei, he's going to try to make himself the leader.
As usual, bribe Etna with money and/or sweets and she'll help out, but mistreatment of prinnies would cause problems later down the road, especially with Mitsuru.
Flonne's case is actually interesting here because it depends on which version you're going for. Trainee/Fallen would help out in a heartbeat. Undercover heroes trying to save the world, sign her up. Only person she'd struggle with is honestly Shinjiro because of how often she burns her cooking. Archangel Flonne on the other hand, I'd say probably not because this version of Flonne knows about the Fear the Great program. Once she realizes The Lost are showing similar symptoms to how other worlds were like before their Fear the Great was activated, she is going to try to stop S.E.E.S from attacking the Shadows that come out on the full moon.
Sicily would probably have a good time helping out S.E.E.S considering her kindheartedness and hard working attitude. I can see her getting along with everyone well, especially Ken, Fuuka, and Shinjiro. At least until Junpei scares her with his ghost stories.
Honestly, I see Xenolith joining Strega instead of S.E.E.S because something tells me he would somehow know what would happen if the Full Moon Shadows perish and he would try to capture them.
Just like the Phantom Thieves, Barbara would stick around because of one character. And that one character is of course Mitsuru. She would be dominant enough to keep Barbara entertained. Hell, I can even imagine a timeline where Mitsuru orders Barbara to seal away Nyx and come back alive and she pulls it off.
Gordon, Jennifer, and Thursday would once again be interesting and valuable assets to the team with Gordon's morale boosting, Jennifer's high intelligence and Thursday... being Thursday. I can even see Gordan and Thursday having cool dynamics with Junpei and Aigis. Only problem would be Jennifer's lack of clothes. Yukari would throw a fit in a heartbeat.
As usual, Kurtis would be reluctant as he's more of a lone wolf. Instead, I think he would be doing some undercover background checks on Ikutsuki and Strega.
Adell having a rivalry with Akihiko is an understatement. Those two would scrap for training the moment they see each other. It would also be interesting seeing him interact with Yukari too as Prism Black.
Rozalin would also get along swimmingly with Mitsuru, especially if it means calming Adell and Akihiko's tits every 10 minutes.
Tink better keep his red personality in check if he joins before Mitsuru decides to execute him, and no, Rozalin wouldn't stop her despite being childhood friends.
Taro does like heroes and Junpei hyping him up to be a hero might be enough to get him to join. That and he might start simping for Mitsuru.
Just like with the Phantom Thieves, regular Hanako would join no problem. Only issue is her constantly trying to dethrone Shinjiro as ruler of the kitchen. Demon Lord Hanako would fight them all for fun.
Once again, Axel can't be trusted. Junpei nearly sold S.E.E.S. out to Strega trying to get with Chidori. Imagine how little it's going to convince Axel?
Yukimaru would make a wonderful addition to the team as a kunoichi and she'd get along well with everyone, especially Fuuka with her gentleness, and Mitsuru and Akihiko as they would remind her of Rozalin and Adell.
Once again, Fubuki's more ruthlessness might be a problem, but I can still see him being a decent member. That being said, his ability to sense auras would definitely make him suspicious of the MC and later Ryoji.
((I'm pretty sure I'm about to reach a character limit so stay tuned for pt. 2))

inspired by @manygalaxiesinone [disgea characters / classes i'd hang out with if they were real]
Nippon ichi verse characters and whether we'd be Friends/Rivals/Enemies if i was a Competently strong demon in the respective game(that was added for the rival/enemy part) (Assume i'd be 2/4 or 3/4 of the mc's power(with exeptions for Soul nomad and makai)
Tis a long one.(SPOILERS FOR ALL GAMES!)
Makai senki disgaea:hour of darkness
Laharl: Like most characters. Frienemy, not Flone but not Etna either. I'd probably be looking for a job at his palace and be kind of a mix of Fenrich but with Etnas playfulness towards him
Etna: Frival. We would tease laharl. But i would get in the way of her plans as much as i could when it came to mess with him too much
Flone: Friends! She would be curious of my morality like she is with any demon, but she could see i wasn't evil
Gordon: Idk, honestly i might kill him
Tsusday: lil buds (not if i kill Gordon)
Jennifer: friends. (not if i kill Gordon)
Kurtis: Warry of me for the most par. Not enough interactions
Mid-Boss: He could probably 4th-wall break and know i 4th-wall break. he doesn't mind me much.
Lamington: Hate him, if the theories for his identity are real. We are NOT buds anymore.
D2 extras
Sicily: I'd just be nice to her. Shes just a kid
Xenolith: Idk what my stance to him would be. But we would be enemies ultimetly.
Disgaea 2: cursed memories
Adell: Friends. We would bud heads. but not enough to be rivals. In setting maybe i could fit as an other pureblood demon like him. He wouldn't like how i don't mind the world turning into more intresting demons.
Rosalin: Wouldn't interact much her, don't wanna be a 3rd wheel
Tink: i'd kill him
Yukimaru: Friends! nin nin!
Fubuki: Enemies but if we fought, maybe with respect
Director: i'd be very annoyed by him
Axel: i'd play as a Dark hero fan. But still beat him up, maybe make up a pretend rivalry. But in Axel mode i'd rl wanna help him with his family
Taro: THE TAR-MASTER. Super cool guy, I'd hype him up
Hanako: Take the demon child away!!!!
Future Demon lord Hanako: We'd vibe
Zenon(fake): i'd call him phony
Masked man and woman: if i heard them in their death quotes i'd be angry they abandoned Adell.
Disgaea 3: absence of justice!
Mao: Enemies but in the same party. Kinda rivals, but i'd hate his guts. We would probably have a history of being gaming rivals.
Raspberyl: I'd be in her delinquent group!
Almaz: BEST BUDS. Ok i'd want that. But friends for sure. I'd like watching him get braver. And be the end a true hero. I'd try to uplift his spirits when everyone around him is too batshit.
Sapphier: Shes too illogical for me. I'd probably just make her mad sometimes
Mr. Champloo: i'd be just as preplexed about him as everyone else
Master Big Star:i'd wanna beat him up more often than not
Salvatore: Friends! more like i'd play along with her orders
Disgaea 4: a promise unforgotten
Valvatorez: i'd probably join his party through the auditions the DLC characters did. Not on good terms, but i don't know why. It would be one sided from my part
Fendrich: He wouldn't like that i don't love his lord.
Fuka: I'd try to make her think her dream is a dating sim more than she already does. Not only with me. I'd try to stage happening with all the other intrests too.
Artina: I wouldn't care what kinda saint she was back then. Now shes an annoying thief!
Desco: Best final boss. i'd hype her up like taro! I'd love to give her magichange a spin if she let anyone else than fuka.
Emizel: My boy. My pure baby, I'd be full mama bird mode
Genjuro: I'd kill him for being a shitty father
Primeminister Hugo: I'd kill him for being a shitty father
Disgaea 5: Allience of Vengeance
Killia:I'd wanna be his Lize until they are reunited. I'd want to make him accept himself. I'd also love his cooking and wanna train in the ultimate demon tech too. And idk, sence all members should be an Overlord(kinda) Idk, i think it would be cool if initially i was the new Cryo Overlord after him that ran away to find him. Damn going full fan boy kinda?
Seraphina: I'd be ''that bitch'' And remind her of her place. And that ''her mans'' ain't her mans at all.
Usalia: Lil trauma kid. I'd wanna be the positive infuence Seraphina wasn't.
Red Magnus: Rivals kinda? Friends? Kinda the same budoffery he has with zeroken.
Zeroken:i'd be pretty dismissive of him at the start. But he would win me over latter.
Christo: Respect the healer. And the OVERLORD OF A CERTAIN GIANT. I'd buy difrent kinds of demon horn tiaras and switch his with them when he is not looking
Lize: Respect to the Lv1 matriarch.
Goldion: We chilling. But i'd have some grudge on him after learning the whole deal. Like i'd expect him to have done more. But then again he was wounded.
Void: I'd be creeped out by his sisconing. And at post game i'd wanna force him to Give Alma ice back to Killia. (we know he can hold more than one overload too, coz he had both Tyrant Revellio and Marjoritas Overload-be we madevoid give it back to her)
Marjorita: I'LL NEVER FORGIVE HER PLIP.
(now for other games i'll just do those i remmember, i've only played phantom brave yet)
Witch and the hundred knight
Metallia: I don't think we would get along. But she'd be a good damn broom
Phantom brave
Marona: You'll go no further. For her sake I will not fail! FR lil girlly needs more people positive to her from the start of the game. I'd probably be an other chroma initially feeling bad for a small child being alone in danger all the time. but then get whraped up in the plot
Ash: We woud get eachother. Marona small, Must protec. be pretty cool if phantoms could actually posses humans. Maybe if a contract or consent was given. a living confine could happen? If so that's a mad cool fusion
Castile: she a good kid
Castiles parents: I get them, but i hate them a little bit.
Canary: I'd kill him
Walnut: I pitty the guy :(
Raphael: he cool... But in a shojou manga type way. So i wouldn't trust him.
Soul Nomad and the world eaters
Revya: I'd be down for whatever route thei'd be
Gig: Best pals. Would bribe him with hotpots all the time
Danette: Idk. Probably she would find me annoying for agreeing with gig so much
Makai Kingdom
Zetta: He is the bad ass overlord. I would probably be nothing more than a peon in his army
Pram: i'd wanna be her friend. But she probably wouldn't see anything fun on my future.
Petta: Shes cool, i'd follow her
La Pucelle: Tactics
Prier: Rival demon hunters
Overlord Priere: I'd be sad to see her like that. I'd wanna be the ''i can fix her'' character but can't

Soul nomad and the world eaters ps2 iso

Soul nomad and the world eaters ps2 iso series#
Positioning within squads is an important factor because each unit has a different attack depending on whether you place it in the front, middle, or rear rows, and units in the rear row are less likely to be hit by physical attacks. As you progress throughout the game, more than 25 unit types are unlocked, each of which has unique attacks and is weak or strong against other unit types. The units that you form squads with in rooms are as varied as you may have come to expect from earlier Nippon Ichi games. Generally, you're only short one lock from eliminating this problem entirely, but there are a couple of times in the game when you've got two or more unlocked rooms. It's possible to lock specific rooms you're already finished with so they're left alone, but you are only given a limited number of locks. To further complicate things, you can't change individual rooms but must rather change every room simultaneously. So late in the game when you want to have a specific room with nine open slots, it becomes nigh impossible to pull it out of the hat without a huge time investment and a lot of luck. Rooms can be changed at will, though the system for doing this can be incredibly frustrating at times-they are randomly generated, and each room has a randomly generated number of positions. Each room can be further customized with your own decors for up to a total of four per room. Each room has a built-in bonus called a decor, which can do anything from increasing defense by a percentage to turning the squad into a walking time bomb that explodes after three turns. Throughout the course of the game, the number of rooms you can have at any given time, the number of positions that can be open in each room, and the number of room types you have available to choose from steadily increase. Each squad is associated with a room, which is a 3x3 grid that serves as its home and has a limited number of positions available in which to place units. The source of much of the game's customizability lies in creating each of these squads and tweaking them for maximum efficiency. Wait, squads? Yes, much like the aforementioned Ogre Battle, Soul Nomad features squad-based combat rather than individual unit brawls. If you can get over his genocidal tendencies, Gig is actually a pretty likable guy. Each square is associated with a terrain type that can affect your squads by providing attack bonuses and movement penalties. In Soul Nomad, you battle across a large outdoor map that is subdivided into the usual grid-based layout, something that makes each battle seem much more vast and epic than the smaller, more localized combat in many other similar games. One of the first things you will notice is that in combat, the isometric perspective so often associated with the strategy RPG genre is gone and replaced with a flat 2D, top-down view. The end result is a strategy RPG that manages to correct most of the issues present in its precursors, features an original battle system, and is still jam-packed with irreverent fun. While it certainly does not lack the depth and complexity of the Disgaea titles, Disgaea this is not.
Soul nomad and the world eaters ps2 iso series#
Unlike its predecessors, Soul Nomad plays out much more like a mash-up of Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen and the Fire Emblem series with that traditional Nippon Ichi flair thrown in for good measure. Such is the plot of Soul Nomad & the World Eaters, the latest strategy role-playing game to come from Nippon Ichi Software. The power of a god is now within your grasp, but Gig and his desire to bring about the end of everything is ever present. Ironically, only Gig's power is great enough to destroy them, and so his soul-previously sealed within an onyx blade-is fused with your own. Two hundred years after Master of Death Gig's near-destruction of the world, his three monstrous world eaters are poised to reawaken and continue their rampage.
